Baddest Girl-Pentatonix

Percy POV

I listened to the conversation over the comms. Frank and Bruce were arguing the pros and cons of him shifting again.

"Look, you're a son of Apollo, you've got a moderately strong scent." Bruce insisted.

"Wait, you figured out what I was?" Frank was surprised.

"It's the one that matched up best." Bruce said. "If there's some sort of monster in there you're gonna be found out first."

"Fine, but if we need to find something, I want to make sure my sense of smell works properly."

"Why wouldn't it?" Tony asked. "I mean, it's never-"

The comms began to fuzz.

"Tony? Tony, you still there? You aren't coming through." Mom said into the microphone on her headset.

Leaning against the back wall with a small comms unit in my ear, I felt my heart begin to thump wildly in my chest.

They were in trouble.

My fears were confirmed when we began to hear broken up yelling over the units.

"Tony, get your-"

"-look out, Nat-"

"-no, Frank, don't-"

The words and static became a jumbled mess.

Silently I opened the door next to me and tiptoed out. Once I got the door closed, I sprinted for the converence room.

Looked like the metal arm was gonna have to wait.

I snatched my shirt for my wings, then realized I wouldn't be able to put it on with one hand.

Ah, screw it.

I grabbed my mask and pulled it over my head, taking the stairs two at a time as I climbed towards the roof.

I had just reached the door when I heard Mom's voice over the comms.

"Percy? Where'd you go?"

I didn't answer. Taking a running leap, I dove off the side of the building, feeling my wings rip out into the open through my shirt after they pushed out of my back.

I soared over Manhattan, mentally figuring out where I was going.

"Perseus Jackson, you get back here!" Mom had figured out I'd gone.

I still refused to answer her.

In my peripheral vision, a white burst flared.

I turned towards it and identified it as a burst of snow.

Khione.

I tucked my wings and dove, spiraling to go faster.

The shouting became more understandable on my comms.

"Duck, Tony, she's right behind you!"

"Someone hold her down so I can shoot her!"

"Frank, look out!"

I could see the warehouse now. It was partially destroyed and the fighting must have been going on inside because I couldn't see Tony.

Spreading my wings, I hit the ground running.

"Clint!" Tasha screamed. My heart felt like Khione had frozen it. Was Clint hit?

"Sally, can you hear us?" Tony yelled.

"She can't the comms are fuzzy!" I answered as I ran.

"Percy?!"

"I'm on my way in." I told my uncle.

"Percy, you're supposed to be at home!" Frank said.

"Too bad." I retorted, kicking in a door as I tried to find them.

"Holy Hades, man, what did you just do?" Frank demanded.

"You heard that? I must be close then. Where's Khione?"

"She's flinging ice spikes at us. Frank's been working at deflecting them with his arrows, but he can only go so long." Tony told me. I heard his repulser blast, echoing through my comms and the hall at the same time.

I kicked down the next door and came face to face with the problem.

Well, face to back.

Khione whirled, an icicle already on it's way. I ducked under it and blasted her with water, switching easily into battle mode.

"Tsk, tsk." Khione smiled sweetly. "You should know that isn't the smartest idea." The water froze into a block and dropped to the ground, shattering.

I sneered and pulled out the sword my dad had given to me the one time he had been allowed to visit me.

"A pen?" Khione laughed. "What do you think that is going to do, son of Poseidon?"

"The pen is mightier than the sword. You're doubly screwed," I popped the cap off and the pen elongated into it's true form, a bronze sword that shone in the strange bluish light of the room, "since mine's both."

Khione's hands glowed blue and two daggers of dark blue ice materialized in her hands. "One on one then?"

I nodded, making sure to keep my eyes off Frank, who was sneaking forward.

The goddess lunged at me with a feral snarl and I parried her double handed strike, responding with a quick kick to her kidney.

She grunted in pain, then swiped her dagger at my chest, leaving a shallow gash that stung from the cold.

I fought her fast strikes, feeling my strength flag already. That week of captivity really had done a number on me. In my mind I was picturing what my left arm would be doing right now.

Frank seemed ready to strike, so I kicked Khione in the stomach and sent her stumbling back a few paces.

"You think you can beat me? I beg to differ, little demig-" Khione screamed suddenly as her back set aflame.

Frank didn't lower his bow, nocking another arrow and setting it on fire with what seemed like a charred piece of wood. He immediately put the wood out and drew back the arrow.

"Curse you, son of Mars!" Khione snarled, bursting into snowflakes as he released the second arrow. I quickly doused it so it wouldn't hurt anyone.

"Is everyone okay?"

"Clint's hurt, but it's not too major. We can fix it when we get back." Nat said.

"Percy, you aren't supposed to be here." Tony said.

"I had to help, you were in trouble." I insisted.

Tony rolled his eyes and the team began to come into full view, Natasha helping Clint stand.

"The jet's outside." Tasha said as I moved to help her with Clint. "And you don't need to help. What you need is more rest, and apparently a backpack leash."

"She said son of Mars?" Bruce and Frank were discussing Khione's last words.

I smiled slightly, then the blood drained from my face as a familiar voice sounded over the comms.

"Perseus Achilles Jackson, you better get back here right now or so help me gods-"

[A/N *singsong* Percy's in trouble, Percy's in trouble! The pic is the extent of my editing skills. The wings are too light and I know, his hair isn't the right color, whatever, I did my best. Hope you enjoyed the chappie!]
