personality. teddy is a really good guy who is very polite and well mannered, you can always tell from your first interaction with him that he was raised well. he is very kindhearted and friendly and he loves people. he's quite social and enjoys making friends and talking to others. he's very helpful and selfless, he's always willing to try and help anyone out with anything. he likes helping others and tries to as much as he can. he is a bit awkward though at times but he doesn't mind because in his eyes his awkwardness adds to his charm. he's quite naturally charismatic too. he's not the best with emotions and definitely doesn't know how to talk about them or let them out. he tends to keep them bottled up but not in an unhealthy way, he has good coping mechanisms fortunately. he is quite a natural leader and peacemaker. he's good at solving and breaking up disputes and getting people to follow after his lead. he's a bit argumentative at times but only when it comes to things such as human rights, etc. as he is extremely passionate about those types of things since everyone should be treated fair, etc. he is quite a smart fellow too and is very clever and intuitive, he is good at figuring things out and solving problems. despite him being well mannered and polite he is pretty blunt. though he does know when to hold back most of the time and knows what not to say and what to say. but often with his friends he'll be unapologetically blunt. he's also quite funny and knows how to make others laugh and a part of his humor is sarcasm. lastly, he's a great comforter and a great person to go to for advice or help. 

backstory. growing up when he was little was great. he was quite spoiled since he grew up in a rich family but not too spoiled to the point he was a selfish person. he had known waitress #3 for a very long time and has been with her through pretty much everything. he has constantly remained by her side and she was the first person he truly learned to care about besides his parents. their friendship kept going even after elementary school. he was super close with his dad and his dad is who taught him to be such a great person. so when his father died he was completely devastated but also just glad that he did get to spend at least a majority of his youth with him. he wasn't paid much attention to after his father died because his mother became super focused on her job and felt teddy was old enough to be okay on his own since he was only a few years short of being an adult at the time. being kind of forgotten about did kind of hurt him but he didn't let himself get unreasonably angry with his mom or anything because he understood. and even though they weren't super close they still remained open with their problems and made it obvious they did care for one another which was enough for him. but shortly after his father's death he became bored with having nothing to do besides school really and he wanted to start trying to make his own money so he could live on his own soon so he decided to get a job at the diner. he had helped waitress #3 to get a job at the diner since she needed one and he has continuously helped her and supported her and still does to this day, always trying to help her as much as he can since she's not in a good place and because of what her home life and mental health is like. he's wants her to get better so he does everything he can to try and make that happen. he did have trouble handling his father's death for the longest time and just when he had finally accepted it he found out that his mother had cancer. the news upset him quite a bit and it's something he worries about a lot because he doesn't want to lose her so soon too. since he had found that out he and his mother have been closer than ever, him trying to cherish every moment in case she isn't strong enough to pull through. as much as he is worried about inheriting her company he's kind of pushed that off to the side as he's focusing more on her than anything else. also, teddy has loved waitress #3 for as long as he has known her but he didn't realize it was more than just platonically until he was about 18. he keeps meaning to tell her how he feels but he keeps procrastinating and doesn't even know how to tell her since he's so bad with those type of things and he's worried that she doesn't feel the same and that he'll be heavily friendzoned.
