➳ personality: marty is different to say the least. he's a little too loose in the head and most think he's crazy which isn't really wrong but isn't fully right either. he's on his way to being crazy to say the least. he has way too much energy, way more than any one person should be allowed. he hardly ever seems tired and most are convinced that he doesn't sleep at all. he has a hard time remaining still and is a little all over the place because of how much energy he has. he gets psychotic ideas and thoughts in his head that will make him giggle maniacally at the most random times, but he never acts on these thoughts. because of that almost everyone is scared of him. he's quite unpredictable and he just makes a lot of people uneasy. he isn't really much of a talker and keeps to himself and prefers it that way as he isn't a huge fan of people really. he knows that a lot of people are afraid of him and that doesn't bother him, in fact sometimes he uses that to his advantage and purposely scares and pranks people, just for fun of course.

➳ backstory: matthias' dad has psychosis and for that reason he lives with his mother and siblings only. his mother left his father when he was only a baby. they're not divorced since his dad didn't agree to sign the divorce papers and he often tries to come visit them all. his parents often get into arguments whenever he does come and it often ends with him being put in jail for trying something on his mother. matthias gets his slight psychotic tendencies/thoughts from his father and for that reason his mother has always been concerned and even scared of him. the rest of his siblings she had with another man, her new boyfriend, so she doesn't have to worry about them. matthias grew up being often separated from his siblings or being spoken to by his mother. his mother spent a lot of time with him and did everything she could that she thought would make sure he wouldn't fully take after his father. he was treated differently and he didn't realize that until he was around eleven. when he did realize that he tried to resist more but his mother always won and he had been seeing a therapist weekly since he was thirteen.

his slight psychosis: even though he doesn't really realize how much it affects him it affects him a lot and interferes with his everyday life because of the thoughts he gets
seeing his therapist: even though it's good that he is seeing one it isn't helping him and to him it's like a restraint and he hates it and it makes him feel like he's not to be trusted, etc. which makes him feel bad

- his mother forces him to see a therapist to try and keep him sane which he hates
