Chapter Eleven

                                                             *Ty's P.O.V*

I followed behind Sky, Preston, and Seto. We walked in silence as we made our way over to the front gates. This was where the army was gathered together. I saw Jason at the center of a small group of older recruits. These recruits included Lieutenant Mason West, Lieutenant Brook Raven, and Lieutenant Desmond Steel. Besides all of Sky's close friends, including me, they were the top ranking officers in Sky Army.

Sky went to go talk to Jason and I stayed back with Seto and Preston. Seto was holding his arm like he was in pain, but before I could comment, he said, "No, I'm fine. Just hurts a little." I slightly nodded, looking around at the rest of the recruits. There had to be at least a hundred of them here. I spotted Husky at the front gate and walked over to him.

"How's it going?" I asked him when I arrived at his side. He looked back at me and smiled, saying, "Fine. Just a little worried about the attack." I nodded my head several times. I understood his slight fear, hell, I was worried about it as well. I was worried I wouldn't come back alive and that Miranda would have to grow up without a father.

"Did he not ask you to come?" I asked, returning to reality. He shook his head and said, "Nope. He said he wanted people that he trusted and knew very well to keep an eye on the kingdom for him."

I nodded. Sky left Husky and Ian in charge while we went into combat. It was a good idea on his part. I heard Sky yell my name and turned my head to look back at him. Jason was to the left of him, and there was a spot on his right for me. "Good luck out there," Husky said, patting my shoulder. I smiled back at him and ran off to Sky's side. He threw me a pair of enchanted budder armor, like what the rest of the warriors that stood behind us wore. I took out my choice weapon, a budder sword.

Sky took a few steps forward and Jason and I followed him. The drumming of over one hundred pairs of feet sounded behind me. To anyone else, it would sound like thunder rolling over the land. In tune to the march, I heard the wind rustle the leaves. I wondered if it was Christie giving me one last good bye before battle. I smiled to myself, remembering how beautiful she was with her halo. She was the best wife I could ask for.

Finally, we made it to the portal. Sky stopped a few blocks away from it. He turned around, Jason and I doing what he did. He raised up his sword up high in the air and yelled over the crowd, "We fight as one, we win as one!" The recruits echoed him, along with me and Jason. The chant became only a faint murmur of voices as Sky turned around and walked into the portal. All of us followed, ready for the battle waiting for us on the other side.

Lets hope we all make it out alive.

I paced the cage Jerome and I stood in. This is what I had been doing for the past few hours. Jerome would talk to me every once in a while, but I would just dismiss it like it was a fly bothering me. Truth be told, I never heard his voice because of the thick cloud of thoughts that clouded my mind.

Sky and the rest had to be coming soon. They just had to be.

This cage was driving me insane!

Jerome stood up straight. I saw this and finally stopped pacing. "What is it?" I asked, my voice cracking because of lack of use. He quieted me with his finger, cocking his head to one side. "I hear footsteps," he whispered. Now that he mentioned it, I heard the faint marching of footsteps as well. And there were a lot of them.

It was Sky Army, coming to our aid.

Then, all hell broke lose. We heard the sound of metals colliding as well as a few muffled war cries. Then, Preston came running our way. He had two enemies closing in on him, but they were far away enough for him to unlock the cage for us. He did just that, afterwards handing me my diamond sword and Jerome his diamond axe. When the two enemies saw who they were facing, they immediately turned tail and fled.

"Yeah, you better run!" Jerome called after them. Preston then gave us a set of budder armor and we accepted it. I gave him a hug afterwards, which caught him off guard. Jerome didn't know what to do, so he shrugged and joined in. But, the sound of swords colliding brought us back to the battle.

We all ran head first into the mess of people who were fighting. A few of them were already backing away from the battlefield. What a bunch of wimps.

Finally, after a good while, they backed off completely. But, it was too late for one of our dear friends.

                                                   *Seto's P.O.V*

Black Magic loomed tall and mighty over me. I was down to one heart and I knew there was no hope for me. I just hoped that once I was gone, someone would kill that son of a pig for me. I closed my eyes and let the darkness engulf me. I felt the last blow from his sword hit my heart and the last of the pain from the real world.

    Then, I felt nothing.

When I opened my eyes, I was greeted by a blinding white light. I shut my eyes, but when I opened them again, it was gone. It was replaced by the one I thought I lost long ago.

Crystal, my sister, stood before me, dressed in a beautiful, flowing white dress. Her brown  hair was done up in curls. Her light blue eyes shone with love as I stood up. She put out her hand and I took it without hesitation. She lead me off into the blinding white light and we disappeared, never to be seen on earth again.

And, the one last thing I would like to say is good bye to all of those who loved me and all of those who I loved. I will miss you, but maybe I'll see you up here sometime.

See, now you know why I said to not hurt me in the last chapter!
