"Merrick, give me info on that rocket."

"Looks like it killed a lot of Gargoyles."

"Any life forms?"

"Lemme see... Only one."

"Who?"

"Hmm... Oh god, Hesh, it's Samantha Cross!"

"What! Keegan, pull up her data."

"Cross had spent months at the Nightfall facility learning about the Cryptid species. During her time there, Archer and the other members of the project denied her questions she wanted answers to. After four months of learning the origins of Cryptids, Archer tasked her with the decoding of the Ark, an obsidian stone carved with Cryptid glyphs found at the Colorado colony. After weeks of insomnia caused by her devotion to decode the obelisk, Archer unveiled his newest creation, the monstrous , causing Samantha to fear the true intentions of Nightfall. Giving into her suspicions, she breached the facility's location to the U.S. government, begging them to put an end to the group's work. Unbeknownst to Cross, her ongoing translations of the Ark began affecting her subconscious, making her suffer from the mimetic virus the stone carried, allowing her to broadcast the telepathic commands sent to the Cryptids from their distant commanding Ancestors. Under their influence, Cross breached Nightfall's hatchery in an outbreak that slaughtered 127 of the Program's employees, her being one of the remaining survivors due to the Cryptids' refusal to harm her."

"Damn," Hesh said, "Why is she on the rocket?"

"I don't know... Hold on, I'm intercepting some radio waves, let me hack into them... There. It looks like CIF Team One." Keegan replied.

"Can you get their conversations?"

"Yeah... It looks like Samantha went on the rocket to save mankind. With a thing called a cortex."

"What's that?"

"I don't know."

"That's it. Suit up. We're going to go talk to CIF Team One. Riley, c'mon boy."

Hesh grabbed his FP6, a Honey Badger, a combat knife, a gas mask, night vision goggles, and a couple of grenades. He opened the hatch, then walked out of the sewers. The sewers was the new base for Ghosts since Rorke already knows any possible location the Ghosts could hide. The rocket launch was 10 klicks (or 6.2 miles) away from the base.

"Follow my lead." Hesh commanded.

Hesh pulled out his FP6. As they were walking, they saw many bodies. Some were human, and some were alien.

"Wow," Merrick said, "These things were ugly."

When they got to the launch site, they saw a bunch of dead aliens and a couple of humans.

"Search them." Merrick said.

After looking at a couple of the humans, Hesh said, "Looks like they were part of Rapid Reaction Force. They're CIF Team One. They must've died from the blast that killed the gargoyles."

"Find their radio, we have to make contact with them."

"Found it," Keegan said, "Here."

Keegan threw it to Merrick. After contacting the Rapid Reaction Force base, They walked back to base. During the walk, Merrick got attacked by a Cryptid, but Hesh shot it off with his FP6.

"Why did we contact them?" Hesh asked.

"We need all the help we can get. Rorke is up to something, he needs us for something. How does he have the whole Federation by his side? We need to find out. It'll be easier if we get some help. The Ghosts took a helicopter they took when they were relocating, and flew to the coordinates the RRF sent them by the radio. When they got to the base, there were lasers pointed at them, but a few seconds after, they all went away. They landed on an open heli pad. When they got out, they were greeted by a familiar voice heard on the radio.

"Well, well, well. Look who it is! Task Force: STALKER."

"Greetings general, thank you for calling us by our official name, but Ghosts will be alright."

What is going on my awesome readers, hope you enjoyed this long overdue chapter. If you liked this chapter, please vote and add this to your "Liberry". (Lol comment if it bothers you when people don't say library properly) Anyways, I have something to tell you. Since Black Ops 3 is coming out this November 6th, I don't know if I will have this story finished. If I do finish this story by November 6th, then there should be no reason to write this. If this story isn't finished, then that's a problem. I don't know what to do. I doubt I will be able to follow the schedule I put up, with school starting in August. Please leave in the comments what I should do if I don't finish the book when BO3 comes out. Do I just ignore it? Or do I try to implement in the storyline of this book somehow? Oh well, it's all up to you guys. CYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
