chapter ten

Crystal ran for hours before he was soon becoming tired. The masked cat took this chance to pounce on his victim. He lowered himself and shot into the air before landing on top of Crystal. Crystal's breathing quickened as the cats face lowered close to his. The cats paws sharpened sticking his claws into Crystals pelt, in which he reacted by screaming in pain. Yet before the cat could invoke more pain upon Crystal another cat ran up and pushed the masked cat off of him. Crystal stood, but was in to much shock to run.
"Hehe," the masked cat chuckled, "aren't you supposed to be dead?" The cat who saved his life remained a powerful looking stance and an intense glare.    "I guess most everyone calls me Rouge..." he responded finally.
"Rouge, that sounds like a rather cool name," Crystal responded. Rouge shuffled his feet, then shot his head up and looked at the cave.
"You want to know where your friends are right?" Rouge spoke, "they are probably in here," he finished. He padded inside the cave and inside was a large portal. Crystal stared in surprise. So this is where all these strange creatures are coming from. Rouge seemed less than impressed.
"There are more portals, but they are locked. The leader is trying to find and unlock them all so he can reek havoc on all dimensions. Which is bad. Your friends have probably went through here," Rouge spoke, "I will keep watch here," he concluded. Crystal nodded and gulped before stepping into the strange purple portal.
