chapter five
"Where am I?" Crystal said waking in a forest not like his own. It was more of a dungeon. It was cold and damp, and the small walls made him feel claustrophobic. There was one window, small and showing only the light of the dim moon. He looked down at his yellow paws. There were cuts and bruises, and blood that bad already dried and where beginning to clump up and harden on his fur, cold heavy clamps locked together and had chains leading to the nearest wall. The chains were welded to the wall, and there was obviously no way to get out without being severely hurt. A large cat grinning wildly suddenly appeared in front of him with a dark glow.
"Oh hello darling, you awake already," it said, being sarcastically cute. He flapped his small bat like wings and Crystal growled angrily. He sat up, trying to look taller, but it was no use for the cat like creature was twice his size. Crystal unsheathed his claws and charged at the red, stitched cat. But it was no use. The chains welded to the cold wall were to short to even get rid of a whisker of the cats muzzle. Crystal hissed and spat at the creature supposedly keeping him captive.
"Why," he tried to speak, but his throat hurt badly when he spoke, and only came out as a desperate unreasonable whisper. The cat laughed, in a deep, insane tone, laughing at crystals pain. Crystal ran to the wall, and clawed at it in an almost desperate attempt to escape. There was more laughter from the crazed creature.
"Your funny," the cat started, lifting his paws to his face, examining his sharp claws, "you can't escape me, you now know I'm real, not just a figment of your imagination," he finished. Crystal stared at him terrified. The cat slowly walked over to crystal, smiling. "This could really happen in a VERY distant future," he unsheathed his claws and jumped at Crystal, with crazed laughter. Crystal screamed, then everything was extremely silent, except for a ringing in his ears.
