Brooklyn

"I don't want to go back yet!" I screeched as the wall exploded.

"I know you don't, but think of how much trouble we will be in if we stay." Harper sighed exasperated and pointed towards the hole in the wall where you could see the fight that was breaking out.

I sighed and looked down.

I sighed again and looked up from under my lashes, giving her my best puppy eyes. I even threw in a little lip quiver.

"That never works." She grunted, but she looked away as if she couldn't take it, and I knew she was lying.

"Fine," Harper grunted again.

"Yay!" I squealed, "Come on!"

I grabbed her wrist and yanked her out of the way as another barrel came shooting into the room. We ducked under a small hole in the wall into a bigger room.

A garage of a sort. The walls were completely metal and it had a huge metal garage door.

Inside were cars, motorcycles, helicopters, and more. All of which must have been stolen...

I pulled Harper up the stairs onto a big platform where the helicopters rested. I let go of her wrist and ran to a helicopter. I looked at it and ran a hand over its glossy covering, only a few bumps where there appeared to be bullet marks.

I went to the driver's side and put a foot on the step. I hopped in with some force, the helicopter rested well above the ground, maybe reaching my waist.

Harper tried to jump into the other side but failed miserably. I grabbed her hand and helped pull her in.

A loud bang sounded and the garage door shook, dust and cement exploded from the sidewall that we had entered.

"Duck!" I yelped as I pulled Harper down out of window view.

We stayed in a hunkering position until we heard joker laugh and a car speed away.

"Stay," Harper commanded.

She peeked out of the helicopter window and hopped down from the passenger side.

She walked off and I waited. And waited. And waited.

Right when I was about to jump out myself her head popped up on the passenger side and almost gave me a heart attack.

"Ok all clear!" She said.

I jumped down and walked around to her side.

We walked down the stairs and back through the small hole.

"There ya are!" Harley stood beaming down at us.

I smiled and looked at Harper as she rolled her eyes.

So what? I can fangirl too.

"Are they gone?" Harper asked.

"Uh huh! All thanks to Mista J!" Harley said as Joker walked in beside her.

He smiled, well, he was always smiling... but he seemed to smile wider and if possibly scarier.

"Um, so the Bat & Arrow family just left us here?" Harper asked frantically.

"Yeah! More time with us right puddin?" Harley looked at the joker.

Joker eyed us but nodded.

"I like your helicopters," I said to break the tension in the room.

"Want a ride?" Harley asked us.

"Do I?!" I yelped happily.

They looked at me confused and I remarked, "Yes."
