After Miwa ran through the portal, she ended up in a different version of New York. But she easily recognized it. It was New York from the TMNT show that Jamie watched. Miwa would always watch it with Jamie, so she knew where to go.

She ran to the sewers and scratched at the manhole cover while whimpering.

Meanwhile, the turtles were doing their own thing until they heard the whimpering.

"What is that?" Donnie asked.

"I don't know, but I'm starting to get annoyed by it," Raph said.

"Mikey, go check it out," Leo said.

"Aww man. But I'm watching 'Crognard'," Mikey complained.

"And how many times have you watched it?" Leo asked.

Mikey thought about it for a minute, but couldn't keep track of how many times he did.

"That's what I thought. Now go," Leo commanded.

Mikey groaned and got up. He grabbed his nunchucks and left the lair.

He followed the whimpering until he made it to the manhole cover where the whimpering came from. He went up the ladder and opened it to see the golden retriever. When she saw him, she happily licked his face, making him giggle.

"Hey, girl! Where's your owner at?" Mikey asked, noticing her collar.

He checked her tag and smiled when he saw her name.

"Miwa. Cool. Come on down and when we find your owner, we'll get you to them," Mikey assured, holding out his arms.

Miwa jumped in his arms and he climbed down. Once down, Miwa jumped out of his arms and they ran back to the lair.

When they got there, the others immediately noticed.

"Mikey, what's this dog doing here?" Raph asked.

"She was up on the surface, scratching at the manhole cover. I don't know why," Mikey answered.

Miwa looked around the room until her eyes landed on the dummy. She saw Shredder's picture over the dummy's face. She growled, charged at it, and started ripping at the face and the picture. The turtles just looked at her, beyond confused.

"Well, that's unusual," Raph commented.

"Come here, Miwa. Come here," Mikey commanded gently.

Miwa obeyed and went to Mikey. She sat beside him and panted happily. Leo, Raph, and Donnie looked at Mikey with wide eyes.

"What did you call her, Mikey?" Leo asked.

"Miwa. I didn't just call her that. That's the name on her tag," Mikey answered.

Leo approached Miwa and knelt down to her level to look at the tag. When he saw the name, his eyes went wide.

"Guys, Mikey's right. This dog's name is Miwa," Leo informed.

"So? What does it matter if this dog has the same name as Karai before she was taken by Shredder?" Raph asked.

"Because how else would they know that name if they didn't know anything about Shredder, Splinter, or us?" Leo pointed out.

Meanwhile, Donnie went over to the dummy and noticed something odd.

"Guys, did you notice that she only attacked the picture of Shredder and not the dummy itself?" Donnie wondered.

"What could that mean?" Mikey wondered.

"It means that the owner of this dog doesn't just know about us, Splinter, Karai, and Shredder, but they also hate Shredder's guts," Raph said.

"Then let's let Miwa lead us to her owner to know more," Leo said.

They all nodded, got their weapons, and left the lair.
