The Next Morning

Ruki's P.O.V 

I looked at Lucy as she slept next to me. As much as she debated before, it seemed as if she was fine with it now. I got closer to her and made sure the blanket covered her more before attempting to go back to sleep. The sound of vibrating, over and over it came but I ignored it. It annoyed me but the feeling of warmth made me ignore it. Natsu and Gray could wait later. 

An Hour Later

Lucy's P.O.V

I woke up as I heard the constant vibrations and sighed. I slightly sat up and looked at my phone to see constant calls and messages from Cleo. What did he want now? I grabbed my phone and looked at the messages.

Cleo: Lucy where are you? 

I felt my anger return. We had an argument an hour ago. He said some things and it angered me but instead of responding, I didn't. 

Cleo: Listen I'm sorry that I said what I said, it's just that I haven't been around you in a while so I got jealous

Saying what he said didn't truly excuse anything.

Cleo: Lucy, please

Cleo: I talked to some of your guildmates and found out that you were all on a job recently 

Cleo: Don't worry I didn't tell them about us, I just said that I wanted to hire you for a job

The same as always. He wanted everything to be a secret. 

Cleo: I am downtown in the city you are working in 

Cleo: Next to the bar

My eyes widened as I read the last text. I quickly got out of bed before grabbing my keys. I slid on a pair of slippers and walked out, locking the door behind me.

Once I arrived outside the bar I looked around. Abruptly in my view was a young and tall medium built man with long silky black hair, large grey eyes, dressed in a suit. He smiled at me. "Lucy" I arched a brow. 

"Why are you here?"

"I wanted to see you is all." 

"You came all the way here just to see me?" He nodded. "Your job usually doesn't have days off does it?"

"No, but after telling them about my new wife they seemed quite happy." My eyes widened. 

"Cleo"

"Do you want a drink?" I nodded. We walked inside and sat at the bar. The bartender gave us a look of surprise before he looked away. He remembered me being with Ruki but now I was with someone else, I guess he was thinking about what happened between us. 

"How has working here been?" I looked at the counter. 

"It's been fine. How is work?"

"It has been normal. Lucy, do you think I can talk to your boss-"

"I already agreed to stay until February. I don't understand why it's such a big deal."

"February is far away. We can leave now and not have an issue with it." The bartender placed two shot glasses in front of us and poured in what looked like vodka in them. 

"The usual?" 

"Wait sir-" He walked away. Did he do this because he knew this conversation was gonna need it? 

"Is that a yes?"

"No, I can't just quit my job. "

"You love me don't you?"

"For you to assume she would still love you after everything you put her through is a surprise." I wasn't surprised that he found me. I was used to it. Cleo stared at the man in surprise while I looked at him with nothing.

"Who are you?"

"You are telling my servant to leave her job when you couldn't even leave your wife." Ruki sat down a stack of papers in front of him.

"Huh?" I looked at them to see that they were unsigned divorce papers. His wife signed them but he didn't. I looked at Cleo. "You lied to me."

"L...Lucy, I love you both so why can't we-" I got off of the stool and looked at the bartender. 

"Bartender, he will be paying for the drinks."
