Dusk opened his eyes and all he saw was darkness. "W-where am i...?" He thought out-loud. "I can't see anything, where are you, Dusk?!" Lightning asked. "Lightning? Where are you?" Dusk asked looking around albeit frantically. "Dusk!" Lightning yelled,walking around as she followed his voice. Dusk heard Lightning's voice as he approached the source, "Lightning is that you?" He asked.

"Yes" she retorted as she walked towards his voice. They eventually run into each other as Dusk happily jump into her arms. "Oh thank Arceus you're ok Lightning" he said.Dusk and Lightning hold each other as they are reunited. Then Lightning pulled back in realization, they didn't know where the others were. "Amethyst, Sparks, Chase, Electra, Phoenix?! Where are you?!" She asked as she charged an electro ball as a light. Silence filled the air, they were no where to be seen. "Where are they?" Lightning asked as she still charged her electro ball as light.

"I don't know" Dusk said, "but let's find them."

"Right, come on let's go" Lightning replied. They walked out of the tree outside in the dark to look for their friends.

Meanwhile, A certain Espeon began to open her eyes groggily. Amethyst opened her eyes groggily as she woke up in a cave. strange, she didn't remember sleeping in a cave, in fact she was sleeping with her friends behind a bush in the forest. Atleast that's what she thought. Amethyst looked around to sense her surroundings. "Uh... where am I...?" She asked. She looks around, her eyes not fully adjusted to the darkness. "Oh what happened...?" She asked herself weakly as she slowly stood up.
"This place feels.....uneasy...."

She looked around for her friends but didn't see them anywhere. "Where are they?" She asked. Amethyst's ear perked as she heard something. She looked up at the sky and saw that it was purplish. She heard a pitchy shriek that sounded like... "Yveltal!?" She came to a realization. She watched as Yveltal fired a barrage of oblivion wings across the landscape, creating a wasteland once more.

"Huh..." she gasped in terror, she hid deeper in the cave in fear of being turned to stone. She curled up into the back of the cave to avoid detection. "where is everyone!?"

Amethyst looks around to hide from Yveltal in fear of being petrified. Yveltal flew past her, unable to see her hiding in the cave from above.  Amethyst sighed in relief, "I'd better find the others before it's too late," she thought. She ran away to find her friends as soon as Yveltal disappeared. What she didn't know was that a certain Fletchling was nearby. Amethyst looked around as best as she could, her mind too clouded with thoughts on where her friends might be. Phoenix spotted her as he flew behind her unbeknownst that one of her friends was right beside her.

Amethyst was still unaware of his presence; strange for a psychic type to be so oblivious. "I hope they are ok..." she thought.

"Amethyst" Phoenix spoke calmly. She knew the voice but it came so quickly that she didn't know he was there the whole time when she jumped in fright and almost screamed but Phoenix used his right wing to cover her mouth.

"Shh... You don't want Yveltal to find us, do you?" He whispered.

Amethyst backed up from him and glared. "You nearly scared me half to death!" she quietly scolded him.

"Well sorry scaredy-cat" he spoke sarcastically.

Amethyst narrowed her eyes at that remark before turning away. "whatever," she responded. "Where are the others?"

"I don't know, all I found was you, but maybe they're looking for Xerneas so maybe we should start heading to where the tree of life is" Phoenix responded.

"hmm...I agree. Let's start our search there." Amethyst replied.

"Perfect" Phoenix chirped with joy.

Phoenix and Amethyst continued to travel through the forest searching for Dusk and Lightning.

Amethyst looked up to Phoenix. "Do you see them Phoenix?" she asked.

He was up in the sky looking for Lightning and Dusk, but saw nothing yet.

"Not yet, duh. If I did I would have told you already" he replied to her.

Amethyst glared at him with his remark and used psybeam and it nearly missed. Phoenix just flew in the sky with fear in his eyes."Don't joke around with me Phoenix, this is no time for playing games" Amethyst told him. She shook her head as she began to focus on their actual task.

"we've been searching for a few hours now, they shouldn't be too far from here right?" Amethyst pondered.

"Yeah, where could they-" Phoenix was cut off as he heard Yveltal's screech of rage behind them.

"Uh oh... We might not have found our friends but Yveltal has clearly found us" he responded, trembling in fear.

Amethyst turned around in fear. "Oh boy! RUN!!!" She screamed as they dashed through the forest.

Phoenix tried to fly away, but Yveltal charged up his oblivion wing.

"Hurry Phoenix!" Amethyst cried as she found a hole to hide in.

Phoenix flew faster but Yveltal shot his oblivion wing and he wasn't fast enough to dodge it that he was blasted by the beam.

"Phoenix no!!!" Amethyst screamed as she hid in the hole before the attack could hit her.

As soon as Yveltal passed by, she speeds out of the hole to catch Phoenix. He landed on her back as he began to turn into stone. Amethyst took him into the hole and set him down.

"No Phoenix, you can't be turning to stone, not now we still have to find our friends" Amethyst said sullenly.

"You'll have...to do it...alone..." he uttered as his outstretched wings began to solidify.

"No, I can't do it alone" Amethyst responded as tears began to shed.

"Get... To the...tree of......li-" phoenix's words were cut off as he was fully turned to stone.

"No... Phoenix..." Amethyst sighed, as her tears fell on Phoenix's cold stone body.

As for Dusk and Lightning, they ran through the forest looking for their friends when Lightning scented danger ahead and stopped in her tracks.

Dusk stopped beside her and sniff the air as well. "What is that...?" He asked.

"I smell... Mewtwo's scent" Lightning replied, trembling in fear.

"Oh no....Mewtwo's here!?!?!" Dusk said worried.

"I don't know, but I hope not" Lightning responded.

"Let's be careful" Dusk replied.

"Right, let's go" Lightning retorted.

Dusk nodded as they carefully advanced, unaware that Yveltal is closing in behind them.

They peeked from behind the bushes and saw Mewtwo.

"Huh... Mewtwo?!" She gasped out loud whispering.

Dusk covers her mouth. "Shh..."

She nodded in understanding.

Dusk looked back at him, silently observing him. Lightning did the same. "I wonder what he is doing..." Dusk thought.

"What's he doing here?" Lightning asked in her thoughts.

Suddenly, they hear a screech from behind them. "Huh... Yveltal" Lightning whispered in horror.

They turn and see Yveltal flying towards them. The screech gets Mewtwo's attention as he turns around.

"What the Arceus is that commotion?!" He asked as he spotted Yveltal and Lightning and Dusk.

"You!" He yells as he spots them. Yveltal also takes note of them.

"Oh no!" Dusk cried.

"We're trapped, what do we do now?!" Lightning asked Dusk worriedly.

"We run!!!!!" Dusk yells as he grabs her paw and sprints past the two legendary Pokémon. Dusk spots a small hole and they both squeeze inside the hole to take cover from Yveltal and Mewtwo.

"Are you ok?" Dusk whispered to Lightning as they were tightly pressed together in the tiny hole they hid in.

"I think so..." she responded.

Dusk smiled a bit but soon dropped it as he peeked outside of the hole to see if Yveltal was still there. The forest was dead silent as he looked outside, it was very unnerving for him.

"Is he gone?" Lightning whispered to Dusk.

"yeah.... he's gone for now..." he replied back to her.

"Phew... that was close" Lightning responded.

"...Yeah....too close...." Dusk replied. "What is Yveltal even doing here? I thought we defeated him... Er... Xerneas?"

"I don't know? This is one mixed up nightmare" Lightning responded with confusion.

"Yeah...." Dusk replied. "We need to get out of here!!"

"Right, let's go" Lightning responded.

They rush out of the hole. "Do you think the others are ok?" Dusk asked Lightning

"I don't know, but I hope so. I don't want any of us turning into stone again" Lightning responded.

"Hm... This is so strange, I thought Xerneas and Arceus defeated him and he went back to sleep in his cocoon?" Dusk thought.

"Say isn't it a moonless night tonight?" Lightning asked Dusk as they trotted through the forest looking for their friends, staying in low from the two legendary Pokémon after them.

"yeah it is. Why do you ask lightning?" He asked till he came to a realization. "wait a minute.... no....no he couldn't be here.... could he?"

"Could... Could Darkrai be playing a trick on us with his nightmare?" Lightning asked.

"....it does make sense that he would..." Dusk replied.

"Exactly, but how will we get out of this nightmare? Do we have to stop Yveltal and Mewtwo to escape?" She asked.

"I don't know Lightning..." Dusk replied sullenly.

"Oh..." Lightning moaned sullenly. "Come on we got to find the others" She replied as they continued to run through the forest for their friends, cautious of their surroundings.

It didn't take long for Yveltal to unleash his havoc upon the forest. Soon enough it was reverted to the same nightmarish wasteland they witnessed months ago.

"Oh no we better hurry. I don't like seeing the forest like this, not even in my nightmares" Lightning responded with fear in her voice.

"I agree..." Dusk said. "What if we find Xerneas?"

"Yeah if we find Xerneas and Mew, they could be our ticket out of here" Lightning replied happily until she came to a realization, " but we still don't know where Mew might be not even in reality" Lightning responded sullenly.

"True but we still know where Xerneas is" Dusk said confidently, "let's hurry!" They start dashing towards the mountain she resided on. They managed to make it but what they saw shocked them. All that stood where the tree of life was placed was a defeated Xerneas....cold as stone... "No.....No!!" Dusk yelled, "how is this possible!?!?"

"I have no idea, I thought she was immune to oblivion wing?!" Lightning responded with shock, "what do we do now?" She asked frightened than ever before.

"I....I...." Dusk was too shocked to respond. They were both too stunned to even speak any more about the fall of Xerneas.

Suddenly, they hear wings flapping from behind them.

"Oh no Yveltal" Lightning whispered very quietly. "Come on we got to go Dusk" She whispered to him getting his attention by patting his shoulder but Dusk didn't respond, still stuck in his stupor. What were they supposed to do? Who's going to save them from Yveltal's wrath? How were they going to escape from this nightmare?

"Oh... we got to find a way out of here" Lightning thought sullenly.

Back in reality, Inferno and his crew were still up as they watched Darkrai from a distance.

"So how should we approach him?" Abrafo asked.

"Don't know but we got to be careful" Inferno responded.

"Sir I'm getting drowsy" Sigmund replied.

"No, don't fall asleep or you'll get stuck in Darkrai's nightmare too" Inferno replied.

"I got this boss" Abrafo replied as he punched Sigmund square in the face.

"Ow, ok I'm up. Thanks for the wakeup call, you banana brain!!" Sigmund yelled.

"What was that!?" Abrafo retorted offended by the title he was given.

He put up his fist at Sigmund, but he flinched and blocked the hit with his hands. "Sorry" he apologized.

"You two, shut up before we get Darkrai's attention" Inferno yelled at them in a whisper, but they continued bickering to each other.

"Will you idiots cut it out!?!?" Inferno yelled quietly, cautiously avoiding to alert Darkrai.

Inferno both pushed them away from each other and looked at Darkrai to see if they got the Pitch-black Pokémon's attention from all the ruckus they pulled with their fighting and arguing. Luckily for them the nightmare Pokémon was still not aware of their presence... or so they thought as Darkrai pretends to be unaware of their presence.

As for Dusk and Lightning, Dusk was still frozen stiff, unable to move as he was still in shock to see that Xerneas was turned to stone.

"Dusk, we got to go!!!" Lightning yelled at him as Yveltal began to charge up his oblivion wing at them.

"H-huh?" Dusk finally utter just as Yveltal fired his beam. He turned around to see the deadly beam fly towards them.

Dusk tried to moved but his body was stiff frozen in shock as the purple beam flew closer and closer to them.

A bush rustled beside them as a familiar Espeon leaped out. "NOO!!!" she yelled, as she ran in front of the beam and was hit instead.

"Amethyst!!" They both cried as they saw her drop before their feet.

"NOOO!!!!" Lightning screamed, running towards her as she began to turn to stone.

"Lightning.....Dusk....." she uttered. "Run.....get out...of he-.....***"

Amethyst tried to speak but her mouth was frozen in stone. Her gem glistened once more before diminishing into lifelessness. Her sparkling purple eyes now reduced to dull grey orbs.

Her voice was frozen in her mouth as she fully turned to stone. "No, Amethyst!!" Lightning cried, as tears brimmed in her eyes.

Yveltal let out another screech as he charged up oblivion wing once more.

"Huh... Dusk, we got to get out of here" Lightning yelled as she ran towards him and pushed him out of the way as Yveltal shot oblivion wing again but the attack missed them by an inch. He finally scrambled to his feet as he helped Lightning up. Yveltal charged up another shot once more, determined to steal their life force and turn them into statues.

"Dusk, run!!!" Lightning yelled. As they both ran away from Yveltal and dodged his oblivion wings.

They ran as fast as they could down the mountain and into the petrified woods. Dusk found a cave and they ran inside it to hide from Yveltal. Yveltal stares at the mouth of the cave searching for any sight of them. They were both trying their best to suppress their heavy breathing from the sprint of their lives. Yveltal didn't hear or see anything and flew away from the cave. As soon as he was gone, Lightning gasped for air.Dusk also let out a breath of relief. They were safe for now, but Amethyst.....she's now nothing but rock now.... sacrificed herself to spare them that same fate..

"A-Amethyst s-she sacrificed herself for us like a true loyal Espeon" Lightning stuttered.

Dusk made his way to her and rested his body against hers. He nuzzled her softly to comfort her. "Poor Amethyst...how will we save her...?" Dusk asked.

"I-I don't know, but I hope we find a way out of here soon" Lightning responded.

"Me too..." Dusk answered. "let's rest up for a while though..."

"O-ok" Lightning sighed sullenly as she laid down next to Dusk.

He curled his body up against hers as he let his tail wrap around hers gently. Dusk looked at her face full of worry. Dusk tried to smile a bit to ease her anxiety.

"Huh..." Lightning sighed as she began to think about the times they had with Amethyst.

"How are you feeling Lightning" Dusk asked her with concern.

"Huh... I'm worried Dusk" Lightning sighed as he looked at Dusk.

"I'm worried too Lightning...but we can't give up now." He assured her.

"You're right, Dusk. We can't give up; we can't give up on the world. We have to find our friends and get out of this nightmare somehow" Lightning responded.

Dusk smiled at her. "That's the spirit Lightning!" He gave her a soft lick on her nose.

She stood up and looked at Dusk bravely. "We have to find our friends before Yveltal gets them too" Lightning replied, as she gave a big yawn. "Or maybe we should do it first thing tomorrow."

Dusk yawned as well. "maybe tomorrow. If we leave exhausted, we'll only be caught by Yveltal."

"Right" she responded as she laid back down.

Back in reality, Inferno and his squad still watched Darkrai as it was still dark.

Abrafo was becoming impatient. "so are we going to get him or what?" he asked.

"Shut up, Abrafo, just wait" Inferno gave him a mean look as Darkrai heard them, and flew towards them in anger.

"huh....I-Inferno..?" a frightened Sigmund uttered.

"What is it now, Sigmund" Inferno whispered loudly.

"D... D-D.....D..." Sigmund tried uttering as Darkrai continued approaching them.

"Speak Sigmund" he whispered louder.

Unable to speak, Sigmund shakily pointed his finger towards Darkrai.

Inferno turned around and saw an angry Darkrai staring right in his face.

Silence followed suit as the 4 Pokémon stood there.

Inferno just stared into Darkrai's angry eyes, while the others just trembled in fear. Darkrai continued to stare at the Infernape, however he was intrigued on how calm the Infernape was to his presence. Inferno just waited patiently for Darkrai's first move.Sigmund was still afraid but wondered why the legendary was still only staring at them. Abrafo just watched Inferno with worry.

As for Dusk and Lightning in reality, they were asleep as they tossed and turned from the nightmare, miles away from the battle. In the nightmare, they woke up and began to start looking for their friends.

"Where do you think they could be?" Dusk asked "should we check by the mountain again?"

"Would they be on the mountains when Yveltal's on the loose?" Lightning asked herself. "Oh no, if they are they are in great danger!!" She yelled when she came to a realization.

"Let's hurry and check!" They rushed back towards the mountain where Amethyst and Xerneas's stone bodies rested.

Lightning looked at Amethyst as she placed a paw on her shoulder. Dusk wondered how she found them so fast. He looked around to see where she could have come out from.

"She made it to us and rescued us at the nick of time, but how did she get here so fast?" Lightning asked Dusk.

"I don't know Lightning..." Dusk said, "wait..." Dusk look towards the bushes to their right. "Lightning over there!"

She rushed towards the bushes. "What is it, Dusk?" She asked from behind him.

"that bush" he told her. "that has to be where she came from."

"Let's go check it out" he said as he turned towards her.

"Yeah" she responded, "but how did she find us that quick?"

"Maybe she must have had the same idea as us of using Xerneas to stop Yveltal. And she happened to be at the right place at the right time for us" Dusk said.

"Hm... Maybe she did" Lightning replied. "Ahhhhh!!" They heard a female scream from behind them."Huh...That sounded like Electra" she gasped.

"She sounded like she was in danger! Let's hurry and find her!!" Dusk cried.

"Right!" Lightning nodded.

They rushed towards the source of Electra's scream in hopes of saving her. They ran towards her, but when they reached her, they saw her already fully turned to stone. "No, it's too late, we didn't make it in time" Lightning said sullenly.

"Electra...." Dusk whispered. This isn't good, 3 of their friends were now stone. though if Electra is here, then Chase and Sparks had to be here as well...right? "If Electra is here, then Sparks and Chase should be close by" Dusk said to her.

"First Amethyst, now Electra. What's next? You, me? Oh, I really hope Sparks and Chase hadn't turned into stone as well. And I wonder where Phoenix is too."Lightning whispered. "We better find them Dusk, but we need to be careful, Yveltal might be close."

Dusk nodded to her as they continued searching. This was becoming worse and worse for them.

"Oh I hope we make it to them before it's too late" Lightning responded anxiously.

"Me too Lightning...." Dusk replied as well as they continued walking. soon enough they heard Yveltal's screech as he fires oblivion wing in the distance ahead of them. "oh no..." Dusk whispered, "Lightning, you don't think that that's...."

"Oh I hope not" she replied.

Dusk rush in towards the source to find out what is going on. Lightning followed Dusk as they watched behind the bushes from a safe distance Yveltal's oblivion wing blasted two familiar Pikachus. "Huh" Lightning gasped as she tried not to scream when they watched them turn to stone.

Chase managed to get a glimpse at them as he tried to mouth off to them to run away. Within a mere few seconds, Sparks and Chase were reduced to lifeless rocks. Tears stained Lightning's face as they watched them turn fully into stone.

"No...." she whispered. Their friends were now nothing but statues now. They were the only ones left. They stared at the petrified Pikachus as they had nowhere to run. Tears continued streaming down Lightning's face as she looked at their frozen expressions of fear on their faces.

Dusk turned to face her as he nuzzled her cheek in attempt to calm her down. They were unaware of Yveltal circling their position in search of more victims to steal life force from.

"Lightning...." Dusk whispered to her.

"Yes Dusk" she asked.

"I-" he started before he was interrupted by Yveltal's screech.

"Huh... Yveltal" Lightning whispered in fear as she saw that Yveltal spotted them.

Yveltal began to charge oblivion wing once more. "Run!!" Dusk yelled as he nudged her to get some movement.

"What!? What are you doing Dusk?" Lightning asked.

"I'm going to lure him away! That should give you enough distance to escape" Dusk told her.

"What!! Dusk I'm not letting you sacrifice yourself" Lightning responded.

"I've made my decision Lightning! I can't bare the thought of you being turned to stone again..." Dusk retorted.

"But Dusk I-I" she couldn't speak anymore as she began to cry.

Dusk stood on his hind legs and placed his paws on her shoulders. "I'll be ok Lightning. I value your life more than I value mine" he said softly.

"Dusk, I-I don't want to lose you either" Lightning began to cry more.

Dusk pressed his lips against hers as he begin to kiss her softly calming her down a bit. Yveltal was almost fully charged ready to strike. Dusk slowly pull away and stare into her amber eyes.

"Dusk I refuse. I don't want you to do that for me, I felt upset when I lost you when Abrafo took me away from you, I don't want to lose you again just like you don't want to leave me" she responded.

"I know Lightning...I felt the same way, but we won't be able to lose Yveltal if I don't do this." he informed her.

Yveltal fired oblivion wing at them.

"Dusk" she began to cry even harder.

He pushed her out of the way as the oblivion wing narrowly missed them hitting in between them. He scrambled to his feet and ran towards Yveltal. "I'll come back to you when I lose him Lightning!! I promise!" He yelled to her.

"Dusk, what if you don't make it?" Lightning yelled to him.

"I will! trust me!" Dusk yelled back as he fired shadow ball at Yveltal getting his attention.

Lightning turned away from him as she tried to run away while tears fell down her cheeks, but she was frozen stiff unable to move.

Yveltal charged up his oblivion wing, and as he released it at Dusk, Lightning turned around and ran towards the beam. "No!!!" She yelled as she pushed Dusk out of the way as she was hit instead.

Dusk stumbled into a petrified tree as he turned to see she had been hit, already turning into stone. "Lightning no!!!!!!!!!!!" He yelled as he ran to her.

"No Dusk, just go! Run away!!" Lightning yelled.

Tears began to stream down his face as he reached her. "Lightning...why...." I didn't want you to end up like this..." He cried.

"Well I didn't want you to end up like this either. Just run, Dusk!! That's an order!!" Lightning yelled as she began to cry harder as the lower half of her body was turned to stone again.

"Lightning...I....I can't! I can't do this without you!!" tears streamed down Dusk's face as he stared into her eyes.

"Dusk, you're stronger than you think you are. Trust me" Lightning responded. "You can go through this, it's just a nightmare, right? As soon as we wake up it'll be a start of a new day."

Dusk continued to cry as he watched her body up to her neck become stone. "Lightning....." Dusk whispered.

"Just go, please" Lightning begged as she fully turned into stone once again.

Dusk continued to weep as he saw that she was now nothing but stone. Lightning was still fully conscious within her stone prison but her mind was drifting into blankness as time seemed to slow down tremendously for her.

"It's only a nightmare and soon we'll be set free" she thought in her mind before her mind turned blank.

Yveltal soon let out another screech as he had sights on Dusk. He wiped some tears away as he gave her a kiss on her stone lips.

"........." Her mind was blank, as she couldn't speak to him anymore. She just stared blankly with her dull gray stoned eyes at him.

Dusk pulled away as he turned to run away from Yveltal.

Lightning's eyes continued staring blankly at Dusk while he ran away from Yveltal. He ran as fast as he could as he ran through the forest with Yveltal hot on his tail. Yveltal soon lost sight of Dusk. He turns around to see if Yveltal is chasing him.

Nothing was behind him, nor above him, as there was complete silence. He soon slow down to catch his breath. Dusk was now completely alone as he took a break to catch his breath. He collapsed on the ground losing hope to continue. Knowing that Lightning was no longer by his side... Dusk felt like what he felt when he walked around the world alone right after he lost his best friend Spike.

In reality, Darkrai and Inferno glared at each other as they began to start a battle together. Inferno started by using Mach punch on Darkrai.

Darkrai dodged the attack and used dark pulse. Inferno jumped high to avoid the attack. He went down to hit Darkrai with poison jab hitting him in the face. Darkrai winced as he glared at the Infernape. He used ominous wind.

The attack hits the trio as they cried in pain. Inferno turned to Sigmund and Abrafo. "Don't just stand there! help out!" he yelled.

"Oh right" they responded, as Sigmund began to use hypnotize on Darkrai and Abrafo and Inferno fought him to get him weak enough to fall into the trance.

Darkrai used ominous wind on the trio once more.

Inferno used poison jab on Darkrai while Primeape used Mach punch.

Darkrai counters with dark pulse.

Inferno used poison jab once again as Primeape tried Mach punch once again while Sigmund continued to use hypnosis. Darkrai tried countering with dark pulse again but it failed. He was hit with Mach punch and poison jab as he became poisoned.

Darkrai tried using dark void on inferno and Abrafo but Dark void failed as Darkrai was hurt by poison.

Inferno grins as he engulfs Darkrai with flamethrower. Darkrai was burned by the attack as Sigmund began to get through Darkrai's mind a bit.

Abrafo unleashed a barrage of fury swipes. Inferno unleashed a barrage of Mach punches as both of them kept punching Darkrai to get him into the trance. Darkrai became weak as he struggled to regain control.

"You will obey us Darkrai" Sigmund ordered in Darkrai's dark mind.

"I shall do no such thing" Darkrai resisted.

"You will obey us soon, Darkrai" Abrafo chimed in as he used rage and Infernape used blazing kick.

Darkrai struggled to retain his free will as Sigmund continued tapping at his mind.

"Rahhhh!!!!" Darkrai yelled as he tried to keep Sigmund from going into his mind. His mind was breaking.

In the nightmare, Yveltal gained sight of Dusk once again. Dusk gasped as he ran away from him again. He kept running until he was stopped by a gaping ravine. there was a manageable jump ahead but he needed a running start.

The gorge was large but Dusk had to find a way to get to the other side before Yveltal catches up to him. He took a step back in order to make the jump, Yveltal finally had sights on him again and charged oblivion wing. Dusk had no choice but choose to jump or suffer turning to stone again. He made a dash across the gap and as he jumped Yveltal fired oblivion wing. He was almost half way across when Dusk was engulfed in the beam. Right when Dusk was hit by the beam, Darkrai was finally controlled by the trance.

"NO!!" Dusk cried inwardly as he felt his body and joints lockup followed by his paws visible to his sight turning grey as stone. His body was too heavy to make it across as he plummeted into the ravine. Soon enough, everything turned black.

In reality, Darkrai stood before Inferno, fully entranced. "Ha-ha, Darkrai is finally under our control" Inferno laughed.
