Electra stopped in her tracks and they stopped as well, "what were you doing her, anyways?" Electra asked them curious.

"There's something off about this place" Dusk said quietly.

"Hm... Who were we fighting in the cave during the trance? Hm... Um..." Lightning looked behind her back to see the cave, then it hit her, she remembered her injury and realized it was "Mewtwo!" she yelled.

"Mewtwo?! Where!?" Dusk looked around startled after being snapped from his thoughts.

"Dusk calm down. Did we actually meet the genetic Pokémon or was it all a dream?" Lightning asked him.

"Wait no one has seen Mewtwo for years though, why is it here?" Electra replied to herself.

"I...I don't know..." Dusk replied. "It felt a little too real to be a dream" Dusk responded as he stared at the mouth of the cave.

"Yeah. We should get out of here, this place is freaking me out" Lightning replied just before Inferno leaped out fighting against the paralysis and grabbed her.

"We still need your power to retrieve Mewtwo" he replied.

"Let me go!" she struggled to get free from his grasp.

"Let go of her!" Dusk yelled as he charged towards him with quick attack.

Inferno used blazing kick and kicked him into a tree hard.

"Ack!" Dusk cried as he fell limp on the tree base. He tried to scramble to his paws.

"Dusk!!" All three of the Pikachus cried.

"Leave them alone" the three Pikachus yelled, using thunderbolt on Inferno, shocking him and released Lightning.

"Uh... You three! I should have taken care of you pests when I had the chance!!!" Inferno yelled getting back up. He ran towards them. Lightning got back up and used quick attack to push Inferno out of the way.

"Argh!!" Inferno staggered back but quickly recovered and used flamethrower on them.

"Watch out!" Dusk exclaimed towards her.

Lightning dodged the attack and used thunderbolt shocking him and he became paralyzed again.

"What are you going to do now, Inferno, you seem slow today, what's wrong Delcatty got your tongue" Lightning taunted.

Inferno growled as he struggled to move. Dusk finally managed to get up on his paws.

Little did they know the skirmish was beginning to disturb Mewtwo.

Inferno glared at Lightning in anger and ran towards her with poison jab.

She used quick attack to dodge it only missing her by an inch.

"Oh so close yet so Farfetch'd" She taunted once more.

He went for another poison jab at her side.

Lightning used quick attack and dodged all his poison jabs and managed to attack using electro ball hitting him. 

He collapsed on the ground unable to move from the paralysis.

Lightning ran to Dusk's side. "Ready for our power move?" She asked.

"Y-yeah" Dusk replied back to her as he prepared to use shadow ball.

Lightning charged up her electro ball charging up their signature move.  

They released their attack creating a huge electro shadow ball attack heading straight for Inferno.

Inferno was hit, he tried to get up but collapsed on the floor again.

"I was just... getting started" he stuttered. "I shall recur and I will have Mewtwo by then!" He yelled back, trying his hardest to get back up and ran into the bushes to the lair to rest up followed by Sigmund and Abrafo.

"We did it!" Lightning yelled, when she heard a voice behind her echo in the cave. "WHAT IS GOING ON OUT HERE!!" Mewtwo's voice boomed in the cave.

"Oh no, Mewtwo!" Lightning yelled, ears drooping.

Dusk turned over to the cave, his body shaking in fear a bit.

"W-was that... M-M-Mewtwo...?" He asked quietly.

"I... I think s-so" Lightning replied just when Mewtwo came out of the cave.

"YOU TWO GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!!" He yelled, still fighting the paralysis. He attempted to charge an aura sphere attack at them.

"Wait...!" Electra yelled.

"It wasn't their fault. They were being controlled by those three Pokémon, who attacked you" she explained to Mewtwo understanding what had happened.

"LIKELY STORY!!!" Mewtwo yelled using psychic, "you are all in his side and you're trying to get me to join you."

"What do you mean join them?" Electra asked, but he never answered.

They're bodies were all locked in place and they were thrown out of his sight they were all split up across the forest.

Dusk went flying through the branches. Each one hitting him worse than the last. It didn't stop he hit an oak tree face first, falling to the ground unconscious from the blow.

Lightning landed right in a meadow filled with flowers.

"Oof..." she yelled hitting the ground hard, head first like she was catapulted.

Electra landed right on a tree branch somewhere in the forest. "Ow..."

Sparks and Chase landed in a valley outside of the forest. "Ow... w-where are we?" Chase replied. "I-I don't know?!" Sparks replied, when he came to a realization. "Where are the girls and Dusk?!"

"I think a better question is where are we" Chase said as he looked around, unfamiliar with the territory

"Electra, Lightning and Dusk must have been launched away from us." Sparks said, causing Chase's expression to disband .  "wonderful deduction," he retorted.

"Where'd everyone go?" Lightning asked looking around but didn't see Dusk, Electra or Sparks and Chase anywhere.

"W-what we were split up" Electra replied jumping down the tree from branch to branch. "Maybe we can find each other at the Pikachu village " she thought and she went on her way to find a way back home

An hour passed as they all made their separate ways through the village

Lightning slowly got back up and sniffed out her friend's scents.

She came across a familiar figure. The figure turned out to be an Espeon.

A-Amethyst is that you?" She asked. "L-Lightning?" Amethyst looked right in her friend's face. She was able to remember her again.

"Lightning, I had a weird dream and it turned out to be a nightmare in reality" Amethyst replied.

"Y-yeah, about that" Lightning stuttered, ears drooping.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Well ...we kind of started that whole ordeal " she stammered.

"What?! What do you mean about that?" She asked questionably.

"Well don't get too hasty, but, we kind of...err... were controlled by Sigmund again...and... and... we had to fight you. Your memory was erased by S-" Lightning was interrupted by Amethyst.

"What?!" She interjected very rapidly, "s-so let me get this straight, you fought me and Sigmund erased my memory of coming across to you guys?" She asked.

"Yes Amethyst" She responded honestly.

"I-I can't believe t-they made me forget about you" Amethyst replied. "Those jerks!" She was infuriated.

"Calm down Amethyst" Lightning spoke calmly, rubbing her back. Her soft paws soothing her anger.

"Amethyst took a deep breath. "Thank you Lightning".

"Your welcome" She replied.

Back at the valley outside of the forest, Sparks and Chase ran across the valley, the soft grass soothing their paws. The breeze drifting beneath their yellow pelts. Their tails swiftly danced in the wind while they ran through the low area between two tall hills, the sun hiding behind them. They stopped to get a fresh drink of water from the calm drifting stream as all they heard was the soft breeze, the cool refreshing water and their paws running through the thick tall grass.

They heard a few flying bird Pokémon in the sky. "Come on Chase. We got to hurry and find a way back home. I have a feeling that they're on their way now" Sparks spoke. "Right" Chase replied and they began to run faster almost like they were using quick attack, but not quite.

Electra ran through the forest looking for a sign that home was close by, but she saw nothing. "Huh... I hope I get there and I see the boys and Lightning" she thought positively.

Lightning was running through the grass with the flowers dancing in the wind. The meadow was a sweet calming place. "I should bring Dusk here one day, but for now I got to find my friends more than acknowledging this beautiful landscape " She thought, motivating herself to keep going. Amethyst was close behind her right at her tail, gasping for air. They stopped at a pond and drank some refreshing water and continued on their way back home to the Pikachu village.

Dusk slowly regained consciousness as his eyes fluttered opened.  He took a moment to take in his surroundings.  "where am I?  What is this place?" Dusk asked out loud.  He stood up on his paws and shook his head.  "I better find the others before it's too late."  Dusk told himself.

"Do you always talk to yourself?"  A voice above his head said.

Dusk was startled.  He never recognized the voice he heard.  "who said that!?"  He asked surprised

"Hey! Up here!" The voice replied above his head.

Dusk looked above his head to find the source and was only greeted to a Fletchling perched on a branch.

"Hey I hadn't seen you in this part of the forest before, who are you?" The Fletchling spoke in a curious voice.

"I'm Dusk...."  Dusk said "What's your name?"

"The names Phoenix" He replied.

"Nice to meet you" Dusk beamed back at him.

"Say why did I see you flying. Can Eevees fly now?" Phoenix joked.

"I was set flying by Mewtwo....he separated me from my friends and I'm a little lost in here..."  Dusk told him.

"Oh so you're not from here are you? Wait a minute, did you just say Mewtwo! You've seen him?!" Phoenix yelled surprised.

"Yeah, he's up in the mountains" Dusk replied

"Oh Arceus, I have to tell everyone that someone saw him and he has returned. They will freak!" Phoenix yelled.

"Wait Phoenix, can you lead me out of here first?  I need to find my friends" Dusk said trying to calm him down.

"Oh...um sure" he replied, "and on the way I can tell everyone about Mewtwo's return."

"Sure, just don't cause a panic please," He told him.

"Oh I'm not particularly sure it won't cause a panic, but I'll try" he replied honestly.

Dusk shook his head before looking back at the bird.  "Fair enough.... let's just go.  Lead the way"

"Ok um...this way" he spoke and flew in the left direction.

Dusk followed him through the forest.

Lightning headed to the entrance of the forest with Amethyst close behind her.

"Oh, I hope we reunite with our friends again soon" Amethyst replied.

"Me too" Lightning replied.

Sparks and Chase ran through the valley when they came across the entrance of the forest.

Electra still was running through the forest looking for a way back home to the Pikachu village.

Hours past as the day soon turned to dusk.  They were still far away from their home.

Lightning ran as fast as she could as she looked side to side looking for any familiarity. "I have to find them soon" She thought.

She ran into a yellow figure. "Ow..." She yowled in pain.

"L-Lightning?!" A female voice replied, "is that you?"

"Electra?" She spoke looking in her amber colored eyes while Electra stared back into hers.

"I've finally found someone" Lightning replied hugging her tightly.

"Come on, we got to find the others" She replied as she finished hugging her Pikachu friend.

They ran through the forest to look for the others.

Lightning and Electra stopped behind the bushes as they watched an Eevee with a blue bandanna and Fletchling looking around for familiarity.

"Dusk?" They spoke.

He turned around to the sound of the familiar voices. "Lightning?  Electra?  Was that you?"

"Yes" they responded in a relieved tone and they ran towards him and Lightning jumped into his arms glad to see her mate again.

Dusk held onto Lightning tightly, he was so happy to see her again.  "Thank Arceus you're ok!" He told her as he pressed his lips against hers.

Lightning noticed the Fletchling. "Who is this?" She asked.

"Oh this is Phoenix.  He helped me find my way back here"

"Oh hello Phoenix" Lightning replied.

"Good evening, Lightning" Phoenix replied.

"Where's Sparks and Chase?" Dusk asked.

"Oh Arceus, we better find them it's getting very late" she replied.

"I agree.  Let's go" Dusk replied.

"Hey Phoenix could you fly up and look for two male Pikachus wandering the forest by themselves?" Lightning asked.

"Sure" he replied.

Phoenix flew up high in the sky searching for Sparks and Chase.

"Hm... two Pikachus" he said to himself, when he spotted two Pikachus laying in exhaustion by a huge rock in a forest.

"Ah hah" he spoke and he flew back to the others.

"Did you find them?" Lightning asked.

"Yes" Phoenix replied.

"Great, show us the way" Lightning spoke in a happy tone.

"On it!  Follow me" he said as he flew back to the two Pikachus with them following suit.

As for Inferno, Abrafo and Sigmund, they were brainstorming ideas for a plan to control Mewtwo and get rid of the meddling children always interfering with his plans.

"How are we going to get rid of those children in order for us to fully takeover the world?!" Inferno asked.

"Maybe we could stop them by doing something truly awful to them" Sigmund began.

"Um, what about... um...hm... maybe we could discharge Lightning somehow" he explained, "that way she can't use her electric type moves against us and it also means that they can't use their electro shadow ball move to defeat Mewtwo."

But if they can't use the attack how would we defeat Mewtwo?" Sigmund asked.

"We won't use them. We'll use an even stronger dark type... like maybe Darkrai perhaps" Inferno replied.

"The master of nightmares?!"  Abrafo chimed in.  "Where would we even find him?"

"Easy, just wait tell it appears at midnight" he replied. "I have a feeling he'll arrive somewhere in the forest" Inferno replied.

"What should we do until then?" Sigmund asked.

"Speaking of which, how are we going to discharge her?" Sigmund replied.

" Glad you asked, Sigmund we just have to use a device or a very strong Pokémon who can do the job" Inferno replied.

Abrafo and Sigmund nod.

As for them they ran as fast as they could to get to their Pikachu friends.

The sun was already gone by the time they ran halfway there.

"Come on we better hurry it's almost dark" Lightning replied.

"Yeah let's go!"  They all started to hustle when they finally reached sight of them as the stars were over their heads.

"Sparks...!!! *pant Chase...!!! *pant" They yelled, now out of breath.

"We've...finally found...you" Lightning panted.

"Electra!  Lightning! Dusk! Amethyst!" They both cried as they came to them.

They all came together in a tight hug.

"We've been looking everywhere for you" they replied.

"We were looking for you guys too" Lightning replied.

"Well now that we're together, we should find a place to sleep for the night."

"Ok" they replied.

"I know a safe place we can stay" Phoenix chimed in.

"Where?" Lightning asked.

"Better not be in a tree" Electra thought.

"Follow me" he said as he flew to the south.

They followed him to his safe place to rest for the night.

They found a hole under a dead tree that was wide enough for all of them and deep enough to shelter them.

"Goodnight Dusk" Lightning replied, huddling closer to him.

"Goodnight Lightning" he replied back snuggling closer to her. Electra did the same to Sparks.

Dusk fell to a needed slumber.

As they slept Darkrai appeared at the struck of midnight and he began to use nightmare on the Pokémon where they were located and the Pikachu village who were asleep.

They began to feel uneasy as he passed his power over them.

In their nightmare, they awoke. "W-where are we? Why is it so dark?" Lightning replied as all she could see was complete nothingness.

"What's going on?  What is this place?" Dusk asked as he looked around.
