The Froakie followed Phoenix through the forest to his friends. After a few minutes, they finally made it back.

"I found some help" Phoenix chirped.

"Hi there! I'm Delta and I'm a fellow Starter Squad member happy to help anyone in need. I've heard from your little Fletchling friend that a Skitty was giving you trouble. Well I think my Frubbles could help protect you from the move Sing and I think I'll help you a little bit as well if you don't mind."

"We don't mind at all. We appreciate you assisting us." Amethyst replied.

The Froakie nodded. "My pleasure."

"Well shall we get going?" Sparks added.

Everyone nodded as Delta gave everyone a set of Frubbles to put in their ears and they set off to find Kate.

They followed Dusk's sent to a small den. "Dusk's scent stops here, so they must be inside. Let's go!" Lightning said.

They slowly entered the cave and looked around the inside to find Dusk.

They heard feminine giggles coming from a small space in the back. They all slowly crawled through to see Dusk and Kate chasing each other around the room.

Lightning's cheeks sparked in anger. "She'll pay for stealing my mate from me by force..." she growled quietly.

Kate stopped running around when she felt their presence. "I know your here, Pikachu! Reveal yourself!"

The group came out and glared down at the Skitty.

Kate noticeably swallowed nervously from seeing the large group. She shook her head and attempted to recompose herself. "You want a fight. Then a fight is what you're going to get!" She told them, going into a battle stance. She started off using the move Sing.

It had no effect on them. She gasped in surprise, "what?!"

"Not so confident now, are you Skitty cat." Lightning giggled.

"Grrrr!!! How is this possible?!" Kate growled.

"It's our little secret that you don't need to know about!" Shade replied with a grin.

Kate used Attract but Shade used Protect.

"It's our turn now!" Lightning used Thunderbolt but it was countered by Dusk's Shadow Ball.

Kate giggled mischievously. "Well atleast I have one companion on my side."

Lightning growled. "That you are enslaving..."

"Which is also why this Skitty needs to be defeated and locked up by the Starter Squad for her crimes of enslaving Pokémon." Delta stated.

"Ha! Good luck with that!" Kate used Copycat and used Thunderbolt against them.

The group quickly got out of the way of the attack.

Dusk used Iron Tail, aiming for Lightning but she countered it with her own.

"I don't want to hurt Dusk but we also need to defeat Kate and it's very difficult to do so when Dusk is preventing us from hitting her..." Lightning thought.

"Amethyst, Shade... you distract Dusk from protecting Kate. Phoenix you help them if they need it. Delta, Electra, Sparks, Chase and I will take care of the Skitty." Lightning explained.

"Got it!" The group replied in unison.

Amethyst used Psychic to keep Dusk from moving as Delta and the Pikachu Quad walked towards Kate.

The Pikachus used Thunderbolt at the same time. Kate managed to dodge all the attacks and used Wake-up slap on Lightning, but she used Iron Tail to swat her back against the wall.

"Hey!! That's not fair! 5 against 1?! That's outnumbered. Let's make this fight more fair, shall we?" Kate used Attract and due to Shade preoccupied with Dusk, they couldn't protect themselves from it so the attack managed to take control of Sparks and Chase.

"No!" Lightning and Electra gasped.

"3 against 3! Now that's even! Let the triple battle commence. If you win I'll let your friends free but if you lose, they are mine!" Kate hissed.

"It's on then!" Lightning growled.

Lightning and Electra didn't want to hurt their friends but they had to win or they would suffer being enslaved by this pink cat Pokémon forever. They definitely didn't want that to happen so they had to do what they had to do to prevent her from winning.

Delta used Water Gun on Kate as she hissed in anger. "Water!! I hate water!! Why does it have to be water!!" She screamed.

"Hey! How dare you attack her!!" Sparks and Chase used Thunderbolt at Delta.

Lightning pushed Delta out of the way just in time as the electricity crashed the floor where he was standing.

"Thanks Lightning!"

"No problem."

Lightning, Electra and Delta glared at the opposing Pokémon in front of them.

Lightning and Electra then looked at each other, knowing what they had to do.

Lightning and Electra both used Thunderbolt on Sparks and Chase as they were both hit by the attacks.

They fell to the ground but slowly managed to get back on their paws and use Electro Ball.

The two female Pikachu used Iron Tail to bat their attacks back at them. Both male Pikachus were sent back, hitting the wall and collapsed to the ground again. This time, unable to get back up.

Kate growled through gritted teeth. "That's not fair!!"

Lightning and Electra grinned. "Two down. One to go. Let's finish this!"

Kate looked back at Dusk to see him still fighting Amethyst and Shade. He looked like he was losing from Amethyst using Psychic and Psybeam while Shade was using Protect and Dark Pulse. However, they all seemed to be getting tired too and beginning to struggle.

Suddenly Amethyst collapsed in exhaustion, barely able to continue further after Dusk managed to hit her with an Iron Tail attack.

Phoenix used Peck at Dusk's side but was quickly swatted away by Iron Tail as well hitting the wall and crashing to the floor.

Shade used Dark Pulse, causing Dusk to lose his footing and collapse as well.

The battle seemed to be evening up but Dusk was even worse for wear.

"Your friends are rather strong." Kate suddenly spoke up. "But that doesn't mean you've won just yet. I'm still hesitant to try to defeat you!"

"Then let's finish this!" Delta replied.

Delta used Hydro Pump. While Lightning and Electra used Electro Ball.

Kate prepared to be hit by the attacks as she closed her eyes tightly, waiting for the attacks to strike.

The attacks hit her and she collapsed to the ground defeated.

"We finally did it!" Lightning cried. "But... Is everyone alright?"

Lightning turned back to the rest of the group. Dusk, Amethyst, Shade, Phoenix, Electra, and Chase were all on the ground knocked out.

"Everyone is exhausted from the battle. Quickly, give them these berries and they should be alright. It might not be much but it'll give them enough energy to get home." Delta stated, giving Lightning a dozen Oran Berries.

Lightning gave her friends the berries as they all started to wake up.

Dusk, Chase and Sparks looked around their surroundings in confusion. "What happened?"

Lightning giggled in joy. "It's a long story..."

She turned to the Froakie starter who was hopping to the knocked out Skitty. "Thanks for your help!" She called out.

"No problem. Now if you excuse me, I have to put these Pokecuffs on this Skitty before she wakes up so she can be locked up in prison. Hopefully I'll be able to see you again in the future, Lightning. You are quite a strong Pikachu. I expect a lot from you. One day, you might be able to join the Starter Squad just like your father."

"Wait Starter Squad? Where did I hear that name before? Wasn't there a Squad that Spike was trying to train for? So he could be strong enough so he could join in?"

Dusk was then stuck in his thoughts as he began to have a flashback of what happened a long time ago with his friend Spike when they were in Kanto.

"Where are we going, Spike?"

"Oh! I guess I never told you everything about me, have I? Well I'm on a journey to go to the Kalos region to join the Starter Squad. In order to join the Squad and be one of the elite members I have to train and become stronger so I can be one of the best Starters in the squad. Which is the main reason why I enjoy helping Pokémon along the way."

Dusk nodded. "I get it now! That sounds like a cool idea! But I wonder if I can join the Squad. Has an Eevee ever tried to join?" He asked.

"I'm not too sure but I have heard that they take Pikachu into the Squad. So they might bring an Eevee in if they ever tried to join."

"I hope I can be strong enough to join in the Squad with you. Maybe we could be a team together."

"Yeah, an unstoppable team!" Spike replied with a smile.

"Yeah... unstoppable..." Dusk smiled back.

"Dusk, are you okay?" Lightning asked knocking him out of his flashback.

He noticed that Lightning was staring at him worried. "Oh yeah! I'm fine!"

"Lightning?"

"Yes, Dusk?"

"Do you think that we could join the Squad together one day?" He asked.

"Oh! Maybe! That would be great!" She answered, happily.

"I promise that I'll help you get there and I won't let anything happen to you." Dusk promised.

"Aww!! Thanks Dusk!" She gave him a big hug and kissed him on the cheek.

Dusk blushed and giggled. "You're welcome."

"Now let's go home so we can finally get some rest" Chase said.

The group nodded in agreement and waved goodbye to Delta as they all went back to the Pikachu Village to rest.

Meanwhile at the Pikachu Village, the group of friends all huddled close to each other under the big Oak tree.

"Now that that's settled we can finally relax."

"Yeah. But I just wished I was able to get Lightning flowers at the meadow. Maybe I can when we get back there. One day... I hope we can go back to that meadow again but hopefully we won't encounter that Skitty again." Dusk said.

"I agree. It was nice there before Kate ruined it but she shouldn't bother us now since Delta took her to prison." Lightning replied.

"We do need to get Inferno and his friends locked up behind bars where they belong too." Dusk stated.

"I know. They've broken a ton of Pokémon laws and they need to be stopped a long with all the criminals around here too." Lightning explained.

"But for now, we should rest. We will search for them another time." Dusk told her, laying down beside her.

"Agreed." Lightning yawned before laying down beside Dusk as well.
