Lightning looked around the meadow. "Where did Dusk run off too? He's been gone for a very long time now?" She thought to herself.

She sniffed around for his scent only to sniff up pollen from the flowers that caused her to sneeze. She stopped in her tracks when she suddenly heard giggling nearby.

"I wonder where that's coming from..." she thought. Lightning walked towards the source. Only to see something she never thought she would see that shattered her heart.

Dusk was playing with a female Skitty. "W-what...?" She gasped in surprise. "H-how could he do this? I thought we had an unbreakable Bond... This can't be right... it just can't be... How could he?"

Lightning's eyes began to fill up with tears and they fell to the ground.

Kate heard Lightning's cries. Unbeknownst to Lightning, she slowly approached her. Keeping low in the flowers so the female Pikachu wouldn't notice her. She slowly and cautiously crawled forward on her belly towards Lightning—who still didn't notice her. She was about to pounce on the oblivious female Pikachu.

Kate waited a few seconds, stalking her prey before she pounced. Lightning gasped in surprise and barely avoided the pink cat's attack.

Lightning went into a battle stance as her electric sacs sparked. She growled through gritted teeth.

Kate smirked at the Pikachu in front of her. "How about we play a game of cat and mouse?!"

Before Lightning had a chance to respond, the cat Pokémon pounced. Lightning used Quick Attack to avoid her sharp claws. Kate quickly ran after her.

When Lightning was a far enough distance away, Kate slowed down and stopped chasing her. "Good riddance little pest... Dusk is my mate now..." she giggled mischievously. She turned back to Dusk.

"Shall we continue our little game, Dusky Wusky?" She asked.

"As you wish..." Dusk responded, still under the love spell he was in. There seemed to be no hope of him overcoming it on his own.

Lightning continued running, thinking that Kate was still hot on her tail but when she turned around she saw no one in sight. She stopped to catch her breath. She was still surprised to see that Dusk forgot about her and instead decided to play with the playful Skitty as if Lightning didn't exist. Did he forget about the relationship he was in with Lightning? For some reason Lightning thought that something was not right. How could Dusk change his feelings he had with her that quickly? How could he just suddenly fall in love with a Skitty when he was already in a relationship? Dusk didn't seem like the type of Pokémon who would cheat on a girl if he ever sees another.

"That Skitty must be up to something... Why would she just chase me away from Dusk? Unless..." she gasped at the thought. "She put him under a spell to make him fall in love with her!! She must have chased me away from Dusk so I wouldn't figure it out and free him from the spell!"

Lightning growled in anger. "That Skitty is going to pay!! No one forces Dusk to do anything against his will!!" She used Quick Attack in order to run as fast as she could back to where Kate and Dusk were.

When she made it back she quickly tackled the Skitty to the ground unbeknownst to her. Both of the female Pokémon rolled down the hill of flowers.

"What are you doing?! Get off of me, pest!!" Kate hissed.

"Who do you think you are?! How dare you force my mate to fall in love with you!!" Lightning shouted, her cheeks sparking in anger.

Kate turned to see Dusk standing there completely stunned. "Dusk! Help!" She yelled back at him.

"Get off of my mate!!" Dusk growled running towards Lightning with Quick Attack, tackling her down. He stood on top of her as he charged Shadow Ball.

"Dusk! Stop! It's me!! Don't listen to her!! I'm your mate!! She's tricking you!!" Lightning told him, but he didn't listen. He only continued charging Shadow Ball.

Lightning couldn't just let him attack her. She had to do something to defend herself. She tightly closed her eyes afraid to do what she was about to do. "I'm sorry Dusk..." Her cheeks sparked and she unleashed Thunderbolt on him. He was shocked from the electric attacks and he screamed in agony as the electricity struck his body. Lightning quickly got to her feet.

Kate ran towards her and used Double Slap, slapping  both of Lightning's cheeks.

Lightning rubbed her aching cheeks in pain. She glared at the Skitty. Her tail turned to iron as she leaped at Kate with Iron Tail, but Dusk ran in front of her and clashed Lightning's iron tail attack with his own. Dusk was about to swing another Iron Tail at Lightning but she used Quick Attack to dodge and collided into Kate, knocking her to the ground.

Dusk turned to see Kate on the ground and yelled, "leave her alone!!" He ran towards Lightning with Quick Attack and slammed her on the head with Iron Tail. She shook it off and she used Electro Ball. Dusk countered it with Shadow Ball.

Kate used Copycat and fired an electro ball right back at Lightning—who didn't notice the attack until it was too late. She was hit in the side by the ball of electricity and collapsed to the ground.

"Ow..." she groaned, trying to get back up to her paws only to fall over again.

"Finished yet Mouse! You're obviously outnumbered." Kate meowed.

"Th-that's because you're using my mate against me!" Lightning muttered.

"So? He chose me over you."

"You never gave him a choice, you forced him into falling in love with you!"

"Oh! Shut up!! You don't have to make such a big deal about it!! He's mine now and he'll be so much happier with me than he'll ever be with you!!" Kate replied. "Let's end this, shall we?"

Dusk nodded in agreement.

Kate smirked evilly at Lightning and used Sing. When Lightning heard Kate's singing voice she began to feel drowsy and instantly fell asleep.

"Goodnight Pikachu!!" Kate giggled.

"What should we do with her, sweetie?" Dusk asked.

"Let's tie her up against the tree for now before she wakes up. Then we'll think of what to do with her."

Sparks, Chase, Electra, Shade, Amethyst and Phoenix were relaxing beside each other under the large Oak tree in the Pikachu Village.

"Where is Lightning and Dusk? They've been gone for a pretty long time." Electra questioned.

"They should be back by now... it's getting late..." Amethyst replied. "They've been gone all afternoon... it'll be dark soon and that's usually when the most dangerous Pokémon come out."

"We better go look for them then... Phoenix, can you fly up and look around the forest for them?" Shade asked.

"I'm on it!" He answered, flying up into the air.

Phoenix flew around the forest to look for Lightning and Dusk. When he reached the meadow, he saw Lightning tied up in vines against a tree still unconscious but no sign of Dusk.

"Uh oh... That's not good..." Phoenix said to himself before flying back to the village to tweet the news to his friends.

Once he returned to the Pikachu Village, he perched himself on a tree branch of the oak tree.

"Did you find them?" Sparks asked.

"Well... I found Lightning tied to a tree but there's no sign of Dusk." Phoenix answered.

Chase gasped. "Oh no... That's not a good sign.. I wonder what happened and whose behind this... It could have been Inferno and his gang..."

"I don't beckon that it is them but we should find out who exactly is behind this and what they want from Lightning and Dusk." Amethyst stated.

"Agreed. We better help Lightning and figure out what happened," Chase replied.

"Lead the way Phoenix!" Amethyst said.

"Alright, this way everyone!" He replied flying back into the forest as the group of friends followed him. "Let's hurry..."

The group of friends made it to the meadow where Lightning resided. Amethyst and Shade helped untie her while the Pikachu trio tried to wake her up.

"Lightning, wake up!" Electra, Chase and Sparks cried.

Lightning groggily opened her eyes and looked around. "Wh-what happened?" She questioned.

"We don't know... we found you here like this." Phoenix answered. "You were tied up to this tree and Dusk wasn't with you."

"We were hoping you could tell us what happened and where Dusk went" Amethyst said.

"Dusk...?!" Lightning gasped, suddenly remembering what happened. "He's in trouble!!"

"What?!" The group gasped in unison.

"What do you mean? What happened to him?" Electra asked.

"This Skitty... She set a love spell on him to make him fall in love with her. They Skitty managed to easily defeat me by using Sing and must have tied me up to the tree when I was out. I don't know where they ran off to after that..."

"Attract... That Skitty must have used the move Attract on him to make him fall in love with her" Amethyst stated. "We need to find them and help Dusk snap out of it."

"Right..." the group nodded.

"Well let's get to searching for them" Chase replied.

"But if we all confront the Skitty without being prepared; we'll easily succumb to her Sing and Attract attacks and Dusk's attacks as well." Amethyst reminded the group.

"So... how do you suppose we do that? Do we have to find something to use as ear plugs?" Sparks asked.

"That will prevent us from falling asleep to her singing attack." Shade answered. "And my protect barrier may help us with her attract move and any of the other attacks that are used on us."

"Perfect! So all we have to look for is something to use as ear plugs."

"I may be able to look for something to use to cover our ears somewhere in the forest." Phoenix said.

"Good idea Phoenix..." Amethyst replied.

"I'll be back when I find something." Phoenix flew up into the sky and out of sight.

Phoenix flew around the forest in hopes of finding something to help them. After a few minutes, he gained sight of a Froakie. "Hmm... maybe a Froakie's frubbles could be used as ear plugs." Phoenix said to himself. "Well I guess it's worth a shot." He flew down in front of the Froakie.

"Hey Froakie. Can I ask for you assistance?" He asked.

"Sure. What can I help you with?"

"Could my friends and I borrow some of your frubbles? One of our friends is in trouble and we need something to use as ear plugs because our opponent has the move Sing and it would be struggling to fight her if we don't have any protection."

"Oh sure. As a member of the Starter Squad, it is my duty to help any innocent Pokémon who needs help." The Froakie replied.

"That's perfect. Follow me! I'll take you to our friend group."
