Dusk collapsed to the ground as he winced in pain. Inferno didn't seem to want to give up yet, but he had to get passed him to save Lightning.

Inferno glared at the Eevee struggling to stand up. "You really don't know when to give up, do you?"

"N-No! Spike never gave up." Dusk replied.

"Then maybe that's why he's dead...and soon you will be too." Inferno responded. He used Flamethrower.

Dusk rolled to the side in order to dodge. He stood up and used Shadow Ball.

Inferno avoided it as he ran towards Dusk with Poison Jab.

Dusk used Quick Attack to dodge as he ran towards the wall. He jumped off the wall and slammed onto Inferno with Iron Tail.

Inferno shook it off and ran towards Dusk. When he was a foot away from him, Dusk used Shadow Ball, making Inferno stop in his tracks and flinched from it hitting him.

Dusk ran towards Inferno with Iron Tail again stabbing him in the left eye.

"RAHHHHHHH!!!!!" Inferno roared in pain as he put a paw to his eye.

Dusk took it as an opportunity to run into Abrafo's room to find Lightning.

When he entered the room, he saw Lightning being held against her will by a certain Primeape sleeping on a hay bed. When she spotted Dusk, she tried to squirm out of Abrafo's grasp. The movement only irritated him to the point that he awoke. He sat up and turned to see Dusk. He looked at him in surprise as he quickly stood up from the hay bed—still holding on to Lightning.

"YOU!!!" He growled.

"You let go of Lightning now!!!" Dusk ordered.

"Never!! She is mine!!" Abrafo shouted. "We'll settle this with a battle!! The strongest will take the Pikagirl as their trophy and she will be mine!!"

Dusk went into a battle stance. "We'll see about that!!" He ran towards Abrafo with Quick Attack and slammed into him.

Abrafo used Mach Punch to try to hit Dusk but he quickly dodged the attack as he used Iron Tail, slapping him in the face.

Lightning watched the battle take place  by the hay bed as she watched the two male Pokémon fight for her.

"Lightning, you have to remember! I'm your mate. We both fought along side each other trying to save the region." Dusk told her as he used Shadow Ball on Abrafo. "Remember when we met Ho-Oh and became friends."

Lightning thought about what Dusk said but she couldn't seem to remember it as she just frowned in Confusion.

Abrafo knew what Dusk was trying to do and he wasn't having it as he ran towards Dusk in rage with Fury Swipe, hitting him multiple times in the face with a barrage of scratches.

Dusk tried shaking it off as he had many scratch marks on his face from the attack. He gritted his teeth in both pain and anger.

"Lightning.... Please... You have to remember all those times we spent together as these past few months went by..." Dusk begged.

Abrafo ran towards Dusk with Mach Punch. Dusk countered it with Iron Tail.

"She doesn't trust you. She knows where she belongs and that's here with me. Don't interfere with our happiness with your sad lonely life!!" Abrafo replied. "She doesn't want to hear it from you!!"

"How do you know how she feels?! You just assume her feelings and think she likes you but she never will!!" Dusk yelled in anger. This only made Abrafo more angry as he roared in anger and ran towards Dusk threatening to punch him multiple times with his fists but Dusk dodged every dangerous fist that came toward him and struck Abrafo in the face with Iron Tail.

Abrafo didn't seem to calm down from his tantrum as he continued running towards Dusk swiping and throwing punches at him. Dusk used Shadow Ball and knocked him backwards.

"Remember when we fought against Abrafo and Inferno together!!" Dusk told Lightning.

She thought about it again... But nothing seemed to snap back into her mind as she just stood by the hay bed—her mind still lost.

Dusk sighed. "There's no use... There's no way she'll remember anything with this bad case of amnesia..." he thought to himself. He was knocked out of his thoughts by force when Abrafo punched Dusk directly in the face with Mach Punch. He shook his head and he faced Abrafo. He ran towards him with Bite as he bit Abrafo in the face. He struggled to get him off as he tried punching Dusk in the side to get him off.

Abrafo managed to get one of his fists under Dusk as he punched him in the stomach.

Dusk let go as he hit the ground hard. He gasped for air.

Dusk slowly got back up to his paws when he suddenly heard groaning from behind him. It was coming from outside of Abrafo's room. He gasped in alarm, knowing who it was, "Inferno..."

He turned back to Abrafo, who was coming towards him.

Dusk knew he couldn't fight them both on his own in his condition as he closed his eyes painfully knowing what he had to do. "I'm sorry Lightning... But I have no time for this..." he thought to himself as he used Quick Attack to avoid Abrafo and ran towards Lightning, as their heads collided.

Abrafo stopped in surprise as he turned to see Lightning and Dusk on the floor beside each other. Lightning was knocked out again. "Look what you've done!!!" Abrafo growled at Dusk.

Dusk ignored his remark and he shook his head as he slowly got back to his paws. He nudged Lightning softly. "Lightning!! Wake up!!" Dusk pleaded. "Are you alright?"

He got no answer as he looked at her in worry. "I just hope I didn't make it worse..." he whispered to himself.

To Dusk's relief, Lightning's eyes slowly fluttered open as she looked up at Dusk.

"D-Dusk... Ow... my head..." she muttered as she put a paw to her forehead.

Dusk smiled in relief when she said his name. He assumed the second blow to the head must have reversed the amnesia. He grabbed her paw to help her up.

"Are you alright?" He asked again.

"I-I think so..." she answered.

"That's good to hear" Dusk sighed.

Lightning and Dusk turned to see Abrafo glaring at them in anger. "No.. That wasn't supposed to happen. She was supposed to be mine!!" He growled. He ran towards them, however he didn't get too close as Lightning used Thunderbolt, stopping him in his tracks as he collapsed to the ground, now paralyzed from the shock.

"Nice shot, Lightning!" Dusk complimented.

"Thanks!" She replied with a smile. It soon faded when she saw Inferno stumble into the room, still covering his left eye.

He collapsed to the ground in front of them. He uncovered his eye in order to use both paws to push himself back up to his feet. When he looked at Lightning and Dusk, they gasped in terror.

Red liquid oozed from his eye and dripped to the cave floor where he stood.

They backed up and trembled from seeing the fresh wound on his face.

Inferno glared at Dusk. "YOU!!! YOU DID THIS!!! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU FOR THIS DUSK!!!" He shouted.

"I-it was an accident..." Dusk stuttered.

"And that's your excuse for destroying my left eye!?!?!" Inferno shouted.

"That was the same excuse you made when you crippled my brother. He'll never walk again because of you." Abrafo explained. He was struggling to break through the paralysis in order to stand up.

Dusk faced Abrafo and growled, "I just wanted him to stop teasing me! I didn't know there was a trap where I pushed him!"

"Well you should have thought about that before you crushed his dreams and spirit!" Abrafo argued.

Dusk gritted his teeth, taking a step forward. "At least he's still alive!!! My best friend is dead because of you!!"

"How am I supposed to know that now, I haven't seen him in years!! Because I've been searching for you in order to gain vengeance!!" Abrafo replied.

"That's not my fault. You chose to follow me!" Dusk growled.

"Enough talk!! It's time to finish this!!" Abrafo retorted as he broke through the paralysis and got to his feet.

Abrafo and Inferno both closed in on them as Lightning and Dusk went back to back glaring at the two ape-like Pokémon.

Lightning used Thunderbolt on Abrafo and he was instantly shocked again.

Abrafo faced Lightning. "Get out of my way sweet-chu, before you get hurt!" He told her.

"Don't call me sweet-chu" she growled. She ran towards him with Electro Ball. She unleashed the attack directly at his face.

He shook his head, electricity sparking on his face. He glared at the Female Pikachu and she glared back at him. A few seconds later, Abrafo collapsed and passed out.

Lightning turned away from the defeated Primeape and she ran to Dusk's side.

Inferno shot a Flamethrower at them. They avoided the attack as the flames went between them. Lightning and Dusk looked at each other and nodded, knowing what they were thinking of doing next. They faced Inferno and went into a battle stance.

"Let's do this..." Lightning said to herself as she charged up Electro Ball.

Dusk charged Shadow Ball. Once the attacks were three times the size, they released them as they formed into an even larger Electro Shadow Ball. It closed in on Inferno and hit him right on the mark.

Inferno wasn't fazed by it as much as they thought as he still stood in the same place he stood. He only smirked. He darted towards the two pre-evolutions as he grabbed a hold of them and threw them out of Abrafo's room and back to the entrance where the legendary battles took place.

They landed a few inches away from the battle against Mew and Mewtwo. Inferno stood in front of them. He was trying to push them right in the middle of the battle!

They continued trying to hit Inferno with Electro Shadow Balls to keep him back. They struggled to keep a distance away from the battle behind them.

Lightning and Dusk shot an Electro Shadow Ball Attack at Inferno's face. When it hit him he roared in pain.

The roar echoed through the cave walls as the Pikachu Villagers heard it as their ears perked in alarm.

"Master, is in trouble!!" One of the female Pikachu— known as Indira—gasped.

"We must get out of here to assist him" a male Pikachu sitting beside her— called Scur—replied.

The Pikachus attempted to escape the ropes by trying to snap at it with their teeth but they were unable to reach. They even tried squirming but nothing seemed to work. They were tightly tied up as they were unable to escape.

Thunder and Chase were still keeping watch of them in case any of them would manage to escape, but none did yet.

Inferno's cries even reached Amethyst from Sigmund's room as her ears perked in alarm. Shade did the same.

"Master is in trouble. Forget about these weaklings for now. They're just a waste of my time." Amethyst muttered to herself as Shade watched her turn to the exit of Sigmund's room. However, she didn't go far when Shade ran in front of her and blocked the door with Protect.

"I'm sorry Amethyst but I won't let you leave!" He told her.

She gritted her teeth in anger and growled at him in anger. "Get out of my way, worthless dark type!!"

Shade felt hurt when she called him a worthless dark Type but he still held his ground.

Electra and Sparks continued fighting Sigmund as they didn't seem to have noticed Inferno's cries as they were more focused on defeated the Drowzee hypnotist. They kept shocking him and slamming Iron Tails down on his head in hopes of getting him to lose control of everyone he hypnotized to boss around and do what he wanted.

Sigmund was starting to lose his hold on them as the hypnosis was starting to weaken.

Sparks and Electra used Thunderbolt on Sigmund again as he was shocked upon impact. Sigmund was paralyzed and couldn't move. Sparks used Iron Tail and slammed his tail on his head. Sigmund became dizzy as Sparks and Electra knew he was almost defeated.

"One more time!!" Electra announced.

Amethyst turned away from the male Umbreon blocking her way as she faced the Pikachus.

"No, you don't!!" She fired a Psybeam at the Pikachu.

The didn't notice the beam heading straight for them as they were hit by the attack.

"No..." Electra and Sparks muttered. They just needed to strike Sigmund one more time to finish it all but Amethyst refused to let it happen as she held the Pikachus in place with Psychic.

"No!!" Shade gasped. He took down his protection barrier and ran towards Amethyst. He knocked her over and pinned her down to the ground, forcing her to release the Pikachus.

"Let me go, Glowstick!!" She growled at him as she tried snapping at his paws that held her down.

"Finish him, guys!!" Shade called.

Electra and Sparks slowly got up and nodded in understanding. Electra used Electro Ball and fired it at Sparks—who hit it at Sigmund with Iron Tail. The ball of electricity hurled towards Sigmund at a fast pace and hit him hard as a Critical Hit.

Sigmund collapsed to the ground... Finally knocked out. At long last, he was defeated.

"We did it!!" Electra and Sparks shouted as they high fived each other.

Shade got off of Amethyst when he saw that her eyes went back to normal. She got back up to her feet and looked around in utter confusion. "Huh...? What happened?" She questioned.

Shade sighed in relief. "Thank Arceus, you're back to normal Amethyst. You started acting strange when that crazy Drowzee took control of you."

Amethyst bowed her head and sighed sullenly. "I'm sorry for what came over me. This always happens.. I can't believe I let that happen again."

Shade put his head under her chin and nudged it up. "Hey, it's okay. It wasn't your fault. It was me who caused it to happen... My clumsiness caused you to get poisoned... I should be the one apologizing."

"I suppose accidents do happen occasionally" Amethyst told him as she gave him a small smile.

He smiled back at her before turning away; his face turning red in embarrassment.

Sparks and Electra walked towards Amethyst and Shade. "Come on you two.. Let's get out of here."

They followed them outside of Sigmund's room and back to Thunder and Chase.

Thunder and Chase noticed that the Pikachus eyes became normal again and they looked around in confusion. "W-What happened?" They asked. "Why are we tied up?"

"Thunder, Chase is that you?" They asked when they noticed them standing next to them.

"You're back to your normal selves again!!" Chase replied happily.

The villagers looked at each other in confusion.

"It's a long story..." Thunder retorted as they both worked on releasing the villagers.

Lightning and Dusk were nearly tail lengths away from being in the middle of the legendary battle when Mewtwo and Darkrai stopped fighting and looked around in confusion. They were finally back to being themselves again.

"W-What am I doing here?" Both Darkrai and Mewtwo questioned in unison.

Inferno noticed this sudden change in the legendaries behavior as he backed up in alarm. "What?! How?!" He glared at Lightning and Dusk who just grinned at him.

"YOU!! YOU TWO RUINED MY PLAN AGAIN!! YOU'll REGRET THIS!!"

"We weren't the only ones actually. We had a little help." Dusk replied as his gaze turned to Thunder, Chase, Sparks, Electra, Amethyst and Shade with the Pikachu Villagers treading along behind them.

Inferno noticed the large group behind him as he gritted his teeth in frustration. "Ugh... How can this be?! I was supposed to win!! The world was supposed to be mine!! How can a bunch of meddling children be so competent to succeed at every scheme I try to pull?! I took control of the most dangerous legendaries and they still managed to pull through!!" He growled.

Suddenly, he heard grunting from behind him. He slowly turned to see Mewtwo and Darkrai glaring at him. "Is that so?!"

"Ugh..." Inferno was lost for words.

Mewtwo growled as they both approached Inferno. He backed up into Abrafo's room as they were both cornered by the two legendaries.

Mewtwo used Aura Sphere as Darkrai as Shadow Ball. Inferno and Abrafo were then put to sleep by Darkrai before being picked up with Psychic and dragged out of the lair by Mewtwo—who then threw them into the air and out of sight.

Mew chuckled in amusement from what happened. "Looks like they've been blasted off again!!"

Amethyst sighed in relief. "Thank Arceus that's over..."

"I agree..." everyone said in unison.

"We should head back home. It's been a long day" Dusk said.

The group nodded as they all said farewell to the legendaries they befriended and headed back home to the Pikachu Village where Phoenix and Sparkle were waiting for them.

"Took you long enough..." Phoenix chirped when he saw them.

"Yeah, yeah..." Amethyst said, rolling her eyes at him.

Lightning and Dusk yawned. "We should rest a while so we can get our energy back up. We should celebrate our victory from stopping Inferno in the morning." Dusk exclaimed.

"Right..." Everyone agreed as the group of friends rested under the large Oak tree. The villagers all rested on the ground of the village scattered in all directions.

The next morning... The villagers all celebrated for their return.

The group of friends sitting under the Oak tree were talking and laughing amongst each other. Lightning watched as the small male Pichu—Piwi run towards Sparkle with a bouquet of white flowers. She had a pretty good idea that Piwi had a crush on Sparkle. The sight made her giggle in amusement. Seeing the flowers reminded her of the meadow she was thrown into when Mewtwo separated the group from each other as she turned to Dusk.

"After the celebration, there is a place I want to take you Dusk." She told him.

"Oh... That sounds nice Lightning. I'm looking forward to seeing it." He replied with a smile full of excitement.

At that moment, Thunder walked towards him with a concerned look on his face. He sighed. "Lightning, can I talk to you for a moment."

"Sure..." she replied as she followed him to the large rock. "Is something wrong..."

"Huh... There has been something that was concerning me... I am a little afraid of what may happen in the future of this village. Ever sense that insane Infernape captured all of us... I'm just not sure if the village is safe anymore. Who knows what he might do next and I don't want to lose my daughter like I lost your mother. We should have captured those three and gave them to the Squad so they can be held where they belong but we let them escape." Thunder explained. He was unaware that Dusk was eavesdropping on their conversation as his ears perked up in interest.

"Daughter? Lightning is the daughter of the Pikachu Village leader? The daughter of Thunder? Well I suppose it should have been obvious. That could mean she is very important to the village.. and what is this so called Squad? What Squad is he referring to?" He thought to himself.

"I know... But I can handle this. You said to me a long time ago that I need to become stronger so I can lead this village one day and join the Squad just like you. I'm not a Pichu anymore... I can take care of myself.." Lightning told him.

"I know Lightning... And I trust that you can... But we still need to be careful." Thunder replied.

"I understand..." she sighed.

"Now go on... go join your friends... And whenever that Infernape returns, we need to find a way to stop him for good. Promise me that when he returns, you take care of him and that Primeape and Drowzee as soon as possible. We can't let them be lurking around the forest forever." Thunder said.

"I promise" Lightning responded.

"Good."

Lightning ran back to her friends as they continued chatting with each other for a few hours longer.

Shade sat by Amethyst. He was thinking to himself. He had to admit that he liked Amethyst and had to confess to her but he wasn't sure how. "Will she love me? Are we meant to be? I-I'm not sure if she would like a dark type like me... M-maybe I'm not her type... Maybe I shouldn't rush into it... Should I wait a little bit before asking her out?" He had so many questions in his mind and he had no idea how to answer them yet as he just stared into space.

Amethyst notice his sudden nervousness as she nudged his side. "Hey, are you okay?"

He trembled when he heard her voice knock him back into reality. "O-oh... Yeah..I'm fine... I-I'll be right back."

Shade walked to Lightning and Dusk as he whispered rather shamely, "c-can I talk to you guys in private?"

"Sure..." they replied as they both walked behind a bush. "What seems to be troubling you..."

"I-I... I..." he took a deep breath and whispered rapidly. "I have a crush on Amethyst..."

"That's great!" Lightning said.

"Yeah... I guess but I don't know how I can tell her... I'm nervous that she might reject me..." Shade sighed sullenly.

"I was afraid of that when I asked Lightning out but I told her when I was ready. You should do it whenever you think it is right" Dusk informed him.

"I-I suppose you're right. I'll try to get to know her more and let her get to know me before I ask her out. I just hope she'll accept me. I'll do whatever I can to show her that we are meant to be." Shade said to himself.

"That's the spirit Shade." Dusk replied with a smile as he nuzzled Lightning's cheek.

After the talk with Shade, Lightning and Dusk decided to go on their evening stroll as Lightning excitedly led the way to the meadow with Dusk walking beside her.

When they arrived, Dusk gasped at the sight. "Wow!! It's so beautiful!!" He said with a smile, gazing at the beautiful scenery around him in complete wonder.

"I know... It's quite the sight." Lightning replied.

"Hmm..." Dusk looked around at the beautiful flowers that surrounded them. Flowers that were pink, blue, red, white, purple and yellow were slowly swaying back and forth in the breeze under their feet.

For a split second, Dusk could have sworn he saw a big pink tail moving around in the flowers before it disappeared.

Lightning turned to Dusk. "Is everything alright?"

Dusk shook his head and turned his focus to Lightning. "Oh... Yeah... I'm fine. I just thought I saw something—that's all."

"Saw something? Like what?" Lightning asked.

"I'm not sure, but it was probably nothing." Dusk answered. He looked back at the flowers and thought of an idea. "I'll be right back."

Dusk walked around the flowers to look for the perfect ones he could pick for Lightning. He picked a few pink and white ones before he heard rustling behind him.

"Whose there?!" He called out.

He heard a playful feminine giggles around him as he looked around for the owner.

"Show yourself!!" He ordered.

"Hehe you're quite a handsome little Eevee..." the voice spoke.

"Well thanks... But..." Dusk felt a paw flick him in the ear as he turned around to see a Skitty rubbing her back against his side.

"My name is Kate... hehe... What's your name Vee?" She asked.

"I'm Dusk..." he introduced. "It's nice to meet you... I guess...?"

Kate looked at Dusk with a devious smile. "Hey! Let's play Chase. I'm the cat and your the mouse."

"I'm not sure if I would like to play a game at the moment. I'm kind of busy..."

Kate's smile faded and her ears went flat. "Oh... Okay... It's fine... I just haven't played with anyone in so long... And it gets kind of lonely here..." she sighed sullenly as she pawed on the ground.

"Oh no... I had no idea... I guess I could play for a little."

The hyper Skitty jumped up in surprise and jumped around happily. "Oh! Thank Arceus!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She replied joyfully. "You better run before I get you!"

Dusk ran ahead as Kate chased him through the flowers. To Dusk's surprise, he cornered himself by a tree as Kate pounced on him and knocked him down. "Hehehe gotcha!!" Kate purred in delight.

"Well sense I've played with you, I should really be getting back to my mate." Dusk said.

"Wait? You have a mate...?" Kate questioned disappointingly.

"Yes... Her name is Lightning."

"Lightning... Huh?!" Kate replied. She tried to hide any hint of jealousy when she said her name as she quietly growled to herself.

"Yup" Dusk answered. He picked up the flowers he picked and started walking away.

Kate ran forward and blocked his path. "No... Wait... P-Please don't leave me... Stay with me Dusk... Please... We'll have lots of fun together..."

"I'm sorry... But I can't stay..." Dusk told her. "Now if you would excuse me ma'am..."

Kate growled in anger. "NO!! You're staying with me!! You're my mate now!! And we will be together forever!!" Kate winked at Dusk and released several pink hearts at him as they surround him. The hearts then circle around and shrink his body. He stared at Kate.

"Hehehe who do you love now Dusky Wusky..." she giggled.

"You and only you Kate..." He replied.

"That's right!! And you will be my mate for all eternity!!"

"Of course my lovely Kate... For all eternity..."

Kate walked towards Dusk and rubbed her nose against his. "Together forever... We were made for each other... We are soul mates!!"
