"Why did you leave me?" she cried,
Her heart was shattered, she felt inside.

"I didn't mean to hurt you," he said,
But the love they shared was now dead.

"I thought we had something special," she wept,
But he had already taken the final step.

"I'm sorry," he whispered, with a heavy heart,
But they were now worlds apart.

"I'll always love you," she said with a sigh,
As he walked away, she began to cry.

"I'll never forget you," he replied,
But they both knew their love had died.

Their love was lost, and they couldn't go back,
They both knew it was time to pick up the slack.

So they went their separate ways, with heavy hearts,
Their lost love was now torn apart.
