"If you have guts, come and play chess with me"

Khushi challenged him openly. Arnav raised his eyebrows high folding his hands. She was so much sure of his losing. Doesn't she know he intentionally loses? Still, she threw an open challenge, expecting him to accept the challenge. But Arnav answered her coolly.

Arnav: Well, think whatever... I have no GUTS.

Khushi: Haannnnn....???? Won't you play with me?

Arnav: How many times will you make me lose? Show some mercy on me.

He said controlling his smile. Khushi amazed seeing his acting. Arnav casually laid on the bed, closing his eyes.

Arnav: I have a video conference in AR tomorrow morning. Good night.

Khushi also laid on the bed sighing.

Khushi: What conference?

Arnav: Foreign client conference.

Khushi: When will you go?

Arnav: Early in the morning.

Khushi: Wake me up when you go.

Arnav: Why....? you no need to wake up earlier. Ok?

Sighing, Khushi placed her head on his chest. Arnav wrapped her not wanting to disappoint her. She slept fast in the warmth of her husband.

Arnav's mobile beeped with a message tone. He checked it. The message was from Aman.

"Everything is done"

Arnav sent a reply.

"Good"

He slept peacefully after that.

Next Morning

Khushi didn't see Arnav as he left RM before she wakes up. Khushi got ready for the college. She planned to go to Anu's Birthday party, directly from the college. Selecting a Good dress from her collection, she went to the washroom.

Getting fully ready, she came down. After admiring her for a while, Ratna took kohl from the corner of her eyes. She kept it behind Khushi's ear.

Ratna: To keep all the BAD eyes away from you.

Khushi: Am I looking good?

Ratna: Gorgeous. Chotte is not lucky enough to see you.

Khushi nodded yes pressing her lips.

Ratna: Let's have your breakfast.

Khushi: Did you have, Amma?

Ratna: Not yet.

Khushi: Then have with me. I won't be coming for dinner tonight.

Ratna: It's fine. Enjoy the party in fullest.

Khushi: Hmm...

Ratna: What are you going to gift to Anu?

Khushi: Handbag...

Ratna: Did you buy?

Khushi: No Amma, going to...

Ratna: Ok, call Chotte when you start from the party. He will pick you.

Khushi: Ok Amma.

They shared a formal hug. On the way to the college, she bought a handbag for Anu. Khushi was left in the college by Mohan. Anu didn't come to the college that day. She had been informed it to her friends the previous day itself.

Evening

Khushi reached the hotel purple orchid with other friends. Anu welcomed them with a warm hug. She got stuck seeing Rohit rushing towards her.

Rohit: Hi Khushi...

Khushi: Hi...

She said with disinterested.

Rohit: I took leave today for you. How many days... we have been met...

He said excitedly.

Rohit: Did ASR told you about my CALL?

Khushi: Call? When did you call him?

Rohit: Yesterday... I thought he would have told you.

Khushi: Why did you call him?

Rohit: Why did you block me?

Khushi: I blocked you... so you called Arnavji?

Rohit: What else would I do?

Khushi(gritting her teeth): If I block you that means, I don't want to talk to you. Couldn't even understand that?

Rohit: But why? Why do you punishing me Khushi? You didn't even accept my LOVE... can't I be your friend at least? What's wrong if talk to you?

Khushi: I don't think you are eligible to be a friend. You are unfit to be a friend of mine. You disappointed me Rohit. I can't believe I had been in friendship with you for years. Just get away from me.

Khushi went to the other side of the hall where her class friends are.

Rohit(to Anu): Did you see, how she ignored me?

Anu: Why are you behind her if she doesn't want to talk to you? and why did you call her husband? what if it makes a difference between them?

Rohit: They are already with difference and they will never fix it because Khushi married to him only for her family sake.

Anu: Let it be anything. It's their family problem. Being a good friend we should help her to sort it out or should stay out of it.

Rohit: I can't be like that Anu. She deserves a better life.

Anu: It's Khushi who has to decide what she wants. I don't want you to poke into her life, Rohit.

Rohit: If you want the same, I won't interfere in her life anymore.

Anu smiled at him nodding yes.

Anu: Let enjoy the party.

Rohit: Yeah...

Yeah... Rohit said he won't interfere into Khushi's life... doesn't mean he is not lying. He doesn't want to lose Anu's support. It seems Khushi brainwashed Anu. It won't be wise to argue with Anu now.

As he said, he didn't go to Khushi nor did he try to talk to her.

A big size BLACK FOREST cake got cut by Anu. She fed it to all her friends. Drinks have been served to the guests... to Khushi too.

Anu: Mojito for you...

Khushi(shockingly): Mojito? Don't you know I'm a teetotaler?

Anu: Don't I know? It's just a soft drink Mojito... with soda, strawberry syrup, and mint leaves. Taste it...

Khushi(doubtfully): Are you sure?

Taking a glass from the tray, Anu drank it.

Anu: I hope you will believe me.

Khushi: Yeah...

Khushi took a final glass from the tray and had it.

Khushi(relishing): Mmmm.... Not bad.

She drank it in one go.

Anu: One more?

Khushi: Yup...

Anu: Wait...

She beckoned a bearer who was with Mojito glasses. He came towards her and Anu took two glasses from the tray.

Khushi: Are you planning to fill my stomach with only drinks? Won't you feed me food?

Anu: We will have it later.

Khushi: Later? When?

Anu: Wait... are you planning to leave the party soon?

Khushi: Not so soon at the same time not so late.

Anu: No way Khushi... you have to be with me until the end of the party.

Khushi: I'm sorry if you have planned to extend the party.

Anu: Why Khushi? Can't you give your time for me for one day?

Khushi: How will I go home then?

Anu: I will drop you.

Khushi: It doesn't matter...

Suddenly, she felt uneasy. Her one hand pressed Anu's shoulder whereas the other one pressed her own forehead.

Anu: Khushi, stop acting like your head is aching.

Khushi: No... I feel dizzy.

Anu: Khushi... are you alright?

Khushi: No... I mean...

Anu: Khushi.... what happened?

Khushi laughed like a mad. Anu looked here and there for help. She saw Rohit serving drinks to the gussets. She nodded her head like "come here". Rohit ran towards her.

Anu(whispering): Rohit... look at Khushi.

Rohit: What happened to her?

Anu: Don't know, suddenly she is acting wired.

Rohit: Don't be worried. I will drop her home.

Anu: But what will her in-laws think?

Rohit: What can we do? Khushi is s good girl. If they take her wrong, we can do nothing.

Anu: We can call her husband.

Rohit: Ok fine. I will call him. Before that, we should take her from here before she does any comedy.

Anu: Ok ... let's go.

Rohit: No, if we take her out, it may drag people attention. You just take care of your guests. I will drop her.

Anu: Don't' forget to call me once you drop her.

Rohit: Sure.

Khushi: Rohit.....

Rohit( smirking): Don't worry Khushi... I will drop you. (in mind) you should not have blocked me.

He started walking out of the party taking Khushi with him.

This is what he is waiting for. Khushi will be his. No one could take her from him, not even Khushi. What will happen if she stays with him for the whole night? Arnav is not that generous to accept her again as his wife. Even if he thinks of accepting for society sake, his parents won't let it happen. Khushi's in-laws will think that Khushi is not so good as what they think. Then they will kick her out of their house. Cool...
