After Teju and TD's conversation, Teju headed to the kitchen to prepare dinner. Her mind was preoccupied with TD's words... Although she had accepted his apology, she found it challenging to erase his comments from her thoughts. As she busied herself preparing dinner for everyone, Meenu entered the kitchen and noticed Teju lost in her thoughts...

Meenu Di : Teja?

Teju didn't hear her call; she was lost in thoughts, mixing the flour with water to prepare dough for roti. Meenu saw her adding extra water for the dough..

Meenu di : Arey..Itna paani mat add kar, Teja..

Meenu shook Teju gently and took the water jug from her hand. Teju snapped back to reality..

Teju : Ayoo..Sorry di..I was lost in some thoughts..

Meenu di : koi na..

Teju adjusted the dough by adding more flour, while Meenu sighed, observing her..

Meenu di in her mind : Ye toh bilkul Sunny ki tarah hai..Mann mein bohot kuch hai, par share nahi karrahi hai.. Atleast Sunny humse share toh karta hai after constant pestering.. let me try to talk..

Meenu di : Kya baat hai? You seem so disturbed..

Teju hesitated for a moment but decided to share her feelings.. She hugged Meenu, catching her off guard... Meenu Di hugged her back, gently caressing her hair...

Teju : Di, Appa's words are still bothering me. I mean, I forgave him, but it's hard to forget what he said.

Meenu di : It's okay to feel like this, Teja.. These things take time to heal..But, ye humesha yaad rakhna, he doesn't mean those words.. he spoke out of protectiveness.. I know how it feels to hear that from your close ones, but what matters is their intention.. If his intention is not to hurt you, then you should move on from it.. Teju nodded and broke the hug..

Teju : Thank you di..for understanding me..

Meenu di : We are here for you.. I know you are strong enough to handle everything.. But sharing your feelings and uneasiness won't make you weak.. It always helps you to overcome the hurt and come out stronger.

Teju smiled, feeling grateful for Meenu Di's comforting words. They continued preparing dinner together,  and Meenu Di subtly steered the conversation towards lighter topics, lifting Teju's spirits.

Days passed..Td and Teju became normal. They started talking with each other, the impact of TD's earlier words still lingered in Teju's mind. Nevertheless, the days were peaceful, and Karan's sisters enjoyed quality time with Teju's family. They all spent more time together, especially Teju with Bharat and Arjun.. They all missed Veer very much.. Sreetu, too, came back from her shoot.. they all relished their time together..

A month passed since Karan's sisters returned to their respective places, and even KM had joined them in the States. Today is a big day for Teju, as she was about to attend the audition for her first Marathi film. She has acted in many roles in Tamil movies, but auditioning for a main lead in a Marathi movie is a big thing for her. Both Karan and their families were excited..

TD : Teju.. Sekiram va (jaldi aao) aaj bhi late mat kar..

Teju : Appa, aara hun.. Itna excite kyun hore ho?..

TD : meri beti Marathi movie me act karne vali hai.. Excitement toh hoge na..

Teju : just audition hai appa.. Abhi heroine nhi bani hun..

KD : Tu already heroine hai bacha..

KD came with a plate full of food.. He made her sit on the couch and started feeding her. After two morsels, Teju stopped him.

Teju : bass.. Bass.. I'm full.

KD : kya full. Chup chap kha.

TM : aap dono isko itna pamper kyun karte ho?

KD : kyun nhi kar sakte hein.. Kitni achi bachi hai..

TM : tum dono isko bigaad rahe ho..

Td : you keep quite.. Meri bachi ko shaanti se khaane de...

Karan came out after getting ready.. He came and hugged TM..

Karan : Amma, aaj kya hai khaane mein?

TM : butter chicken aur dosa.. Mai leke aaun..

Karan : haan.. Mai butter chicken ko kabhi naa nahi bolunga.. Papa, maa se baat huyi.. Voh kaisi hai?

KM : voh thik hai.. Mast enjoy karri hai.. Muje bhi jana hai..

Teju : toh aap bhi jao na.. Vaise aap yahaan bethke unko yaad karte rehte ho.. Isse toh acha hai ki aap vahaan jao..

KD : teri baat toh sahi hai.. Par muje tum sabko chod ke nhi jana hai..

TD : Satpal, hum kya bache hai?.. We'll handle ourselves.. Tu jaa..

TM : haan bhaisahab.. Aap States jao..

Karan : toh papa, ticket book kardun?

KD : kardo..

Teju hugged KD tightly..

Teju : I'll miss you papa..

KD : main bhi..

Karan : chalo.. Agar baap beti ka pyaar hogaya toh Teju chale?

Teju : haan.. Bye amma, appa.. Bye papa.. Mai aapko packing me help kardungi.. Aap rest karo.. Appa, tablets lelo varna ..

TD : haan meri maa.. Kha lunga.. Tu aaram se jaana.

Teju said bye to everyone and left with Karan. They each got into their respective cars and set out for their destinations..

As she reached the bustling sets, Teju took a deep breath, gathering her nerves for the upcoming audition.. It was beautiful at the same time, it looked like a college set.. She entered the set. All eyes turned toward her, scrutinizing her like an alien.

Appu reached the set and joined Teju..

Appu : Teju.. Idhar kyun kadi hai?.. Andhar toh jaa..

Teju : mai jaane hi vali thi.. Appu, sab muje aise kyun dekhre hein jaise mai koi bhootni hun..

Appu : Tu dyaan mat de.. Tu bachi jaise dikhti haina, isliye.. Come.. Audition keliye time hora hai..

Teju and Appu proceeded inside, Teju feeling the weight of curious gazes. She was directed to the audition area, where she received her script and she delved into understanding the scene.

Appu : Teju.. You can crack it.. Kuch mat soch.. Thik hai.. All the best, baby.

Teju : thanks Appu.. Tu mere saath aane keliye..

Appu : Karan ka order hai.. Maanna toh padega..

Teju : sunny bhi na.. But Appu, isme Marathi dialogues hai.. How can I deliver them perfectly?

Appu : mere pass idea hai.. I have a Marathi friend.. Mai usko call karti hun.. She'll help you understand the dialogues and speek freely..

Appu's friend helped Teju to understand the dialogues..Soon, the director called her name, and Teju walked to the designated spot for her audition..

Director : Action..

Teju took a deep breath and immersed herself in the scene, portraying it with unparalleled passion. She not only followed the script but also added her touch, improvising the scene with modifications to the dialogues. As she completed her performance, she was asked to step out..

There was a person in black shirt and white pants, talking with the directors.. He really liked Teju's performance..Some casting members discussed her performance..

Casting Member : I think she's not right for this role, sir.. We can try someone else..

Someone : She is perfect for this role.. Just finalise her..

Member : but, sir, we have many Marathi actresses for this role.. This girl doesn't even know Marathi.. How can she be perfect?

Someone : Did you see her performance? She lived that character.. And talking about language, I don't think it would be a barrier for her.. Even though Marathi is not her mother tongue, she aced the dialogues given to her..

Member : ok sir.. Agar aap bolrahe ho toh thik hi hoga.. Call Tejasswi to the cabin.

A crew member summoned Tejasswi to the cabin. She entered, and her eyes widened in shock as she saw the person present..

Tejasswi in her mind : siva.. Yahaan toh Rohit Shetty Sir hai.. Pakka muje kaam nahi milega.. Itna bada director hai, acha production house bhi hai.. Muje kyun role milega..

Member : Please sit down, Tejasswi..

Teju sat on the chair.. Rohit sir looked at her, but her gaze was fixed on the casting members.

Member : Tejasswi, we really liked your performance in the audition and you are selected..

Member : This movie will be produced by Rohit Shetty sir.. Vihan Suryavanshi will be directing the movie.. Karan Parab is your co actor and hero in this film.. Teju : When will we start shooting, sir?

Member : we'll start by the end of this month..

Teju : oh.. Ok

Member : any other questions?

Member : then fine.. The Meeting is over.. Let's take a break.. Thank you Tejasswi for coming for audition.. Welcome to the board.

Teju : It's my pleasure sir.. Nice to be a part of this project..

As Tejasswi left the cabin, a whirlwind of emotions engulfed her. She couldn't believe her luck – landing a role in a film produced by Rohit Shetty himself.. As she stepped out, Appu awaited with eager anticipation.

Appu :  Kaisa hua audition?

Teju, grinning ear to ear, could barely contain her excitement.

Teju : I got selected!

Appu : Bang on.. Congrats Teju

Teju : Thank you so much for everything, Appu

Appu: Arrey, tune hi toh perform kiya tha.

Teju: Par teri friend ki help ke vajase hi, I could deliver my dialogues perfectly. 

Appu: voh chod.. Ab toh treat banti hai!

Teju : Zarur dungi.. 

Appu : Acha ruk..muje ek call karni hai..mai karke aati hun..

Appu went to have a call whereas Teju moved to talk to one of the casting members about the shoot schedules.. After talking to them, She went out to share the good news with Karan.. She dialed Karan's number..

Karan : laddoo, mai baad me baath karun?

Teju : Are you busy now?

Karan : haan.. Thoda busy hun.. I'll call you when I'm free.. Bye

Said this and ended the call.. Though Teju's face fell, she masked her face.. But here on Karan's side, he knew his laddoo got the role as Appu told him... He was busy decorating the house that's when Teju called him.. He wanted to keep it a surprise for her..

Karan in his mind : I know laddoo, tum udaas ho.. But I promise you, you'll be happy with this surprise.. My laddoo in marathi movie.. Hye..

Teju was waiting for Ajmal bhai to pick her up from the set. As she waited, Rohit Sir approached her..

Rohit Sir : Are you waiting for a cab?

Teju : No sir.. I'm waiting for Ajmal bhai..

Rohit Sir: You have a brother?

Teju : No no sir.. He is my driver.. Mai pyaar se Ajmal bhai bolti hun..

Rohit Sir : Nice.. You performed well..

Teju in her mind : Did he praise me?.. Oh my god.. The Rohit Shetty praised me.. Oh my god.. Oh my god... I'm going to die..

While talking to Rohit sir, Teja saw a kulfi seller on the set..

Teju : Neenga kulfi sapduveengala? (Aap kulfi khayenge?)

Rohit Sir : Kya?.. I can't understand..

Teju : mai bhi na.. SORRY.. Maine pucha, aap kulfi khayenge?

Rohit Sir : haan kabhi kabhi khati hun..

Teju : please wait here.. I'll be back in a minute..

Teju ran to the kulfi shop and bought two kulfis.. One for Rohit Sir and one for herself..

Teju : ye lijiye.. It's badam pista flavour.. Acha hai..

Rohit Sir : I'm fine..

Teju pouted and looked down.. Seeing her disappointed face, he took the kulfi from her and started having it. She smiled widely and started eating her kulfi..

Teju : hmm.. Delicious.. Wah.

Teju made comments and started her bak bak with Rohit Sir.. She spoke about various food items she had in Mumbai, her favorite restaurants, and more.. Rohit Sir patiently listened to her bak bak... Even he shared a few moments, sharing his experiences..

Teju : Mai abhi thoda thik hun.. Aapne mera previous projects dekha toh aap faint ho jaoge... Usme bohot patli thi, abhi thoda fat hogayi..

Rohit Sir : acha.. Teri mother tongue Hindi nahi hai na..

Teju : I'm from Chennai.. Toh mera MT Tamil hai..

Rohit Sir : nice.. Maine Tamil language me ek film ki thi..

Teju : Chennai Express hai na.. Muje pata hai.. Maine bohot baar dekha.. I love that thangamani scene..

While talking, Ajmal bhai called Teju..

Teju : Sir, Ajmal bhai is at the main gate.. Mai jaun?

Rohit Sir : ya.. Carry on.. Bye Tejasswi.. It was nice talking to you..

Teju : Bye Sir.. Thank you so much Sir.. Meet you soon..

She said bye and ran to the main gate.. Rohit Sir smiled at her running..

Rohit Sir in his mind : Innocent hai.. Need to protect her..

Teju reached home... As she walked into the house, she headed to the kitchen for a drink of water before going to her room.. The entire hall was silent.. Teju thought that everyone went for evening walk... However, when she entered her room, she was taken aback by the beautiful decorations adorning the space.. The room sparkled with celebration..Lost in admiration, Teju was surprised by a warm hug from behind. It was Karan.

Karan : congratulations laddoo..

Teju smiled at her little and turned to his side.. Without uttering a word, she kissed him.. Both took their enough time to devour each other.. They forgot that their parents were in their room.. Their parents were waiting to get noticed by them.. They turned back, not looking at their romance session..

After a lingering kiss, Karan remembered that their parents were in the same room.. He broke their kiss and joined their foreheads..

Karan : laddoo, I forgot to tell you that our parents are in the same room..

Teju : kya?

She left him and turned back.. Her parents back could be visible.. She snapped her forehead and shot glares at Karan for not informing her.. She went and hugged Kd..

Teju : sorry papa.. Maine dyaan nhi diya..

KD : hota hai .. Hota hai.. Koi na..

TM : Teju, congrats baby..

Teju : thank you amma.. Appa, papa aapko pata hai.. Aaj Rohit Shetty Sir ne kudh aake mujse baat kiye the.. I was shocked to see him.. Main Ainvaye jaake audition diya, but Sir ko dekhe strike hua tha ki aur better karni chahiye.. But joh audition Maine diya uske liye unhone appreciate kiya.. I'm so happy appa, papa.

Td : achi baat hai Teju.. Appreciation keliye hi toh tune iss kaam choose kiya.. Varna paisa toh sab kaam me milta hai.. Joh profession aapko karne mai acha lage aur uske liye aapko recognition mile, toh voh karne me life me maza ayega..

Kd : sahi baat bola tune.. Sach me Teju, I'm so proud of you..

Tm : Meri bachi.. Aise hi acha karte jaa..

Teju hugged Karan..

Teju : Thanks to you sunny..

Karan : aisa kyun?

Teju : teri vajase I got Appu.. Appu ke vajase aaj mai audition ache se de payi. Pura dialogue Marathi me tha.. Muje ek bhi nhi samaj aya.. Phir Appu ne uski friend ko call kiya.. Unhone muje samjhaya aur maine vahi perform kiya..

Karan : really.. I'm proud of you laddoo..

Tm : Sunil, aapne abhi tak walk pe nahi gaye..

Teju : appa?

Td : tereko surprise dena tha na.. Isliye ruka tha.. Abh jaara hun baba..

Teju : appa, papa and amma aapko abhi ke abhi walk pe jaana hai.. Chalo.. Chalo..

She pushed them towards the door and locked it behind them.. Returning to her room, she found Karan lying on the bed and scrolling through his phone. Teju joined him, laying her head on his chest.. She closed her eyes and taking in the scent of his cologne. Karan's arms naturally wrapped around her waist, providing a sense of protection..

 After spending a few minutes on his phone, Karan turned his attention towards his sleeping beauty.. He kissed her temple and closed his eyes.. He smiled at the peace he got from her being in his arms..
