[Arya]:
(flashback)
I was in my home with truckloads of work to do. I sat resting for a moment with my eyes closed and dug my face in my hands. I let out a heavy breath. My phone rang for almost twentieth time in the last one hour and I received the call in annoyance without even looking who was calling because I knew who he was. I wanted to burst out on him but couldn't because he was my 'boss'. "I assure you sir, all the work will be done before Diwali", I said in annoyance for the millionth time in that day. For a brief time there was complete silence, he didn't say anything. I looked at the screen to see if the call was still connected or not. The moment I looked towards the screen, I bit my lower lip and closed my eyes tightly. It was Darshan's call. I regretted why I didn't check the caller's name, because I just mistook Darshan as my boss-the only person he didn't like. I remember his words after meeting my boss for the first time - JUST STAY MILES AWAY FROM THAT PERSON. I always used to sarcastically tell him that I stay away from him but 'miles away' was not possible as he was my boss and we work in the same office which was not so big that I could stay miles away from him. Many a times we would indulge into a fight because of this topic and everytime Darshan ended up saying, 'see, we are fighting because of that stupid fellow'. "I'm so sorry Darsh", I said and he remained silent. "Hey, I'm sorry na.. Please say something", I pleaded. "So you were talking to him, AND you were expecting him to call right?", he said finally breaking the silence. "No, he was continuously calling to ask about the work so I thought that he called once again", I added defending myself. "Why was he calling you", he possessively asked. "There is truckloads of work to do before the Diwali holidays and there is a big project too so he is annoying all of us by calling and not letting us do our work by asking how much work is left?", I answered in disgust. "By the way why did you call? ", I added. "Actually I have a surprise, please come to my place", he said, his voice was all of a sudden filled with excitement. "No Darsh, I really can't come right now. Please try to understand", I said. "I know, but please come, for me, please. Shreya's also coming in sometime, I have to show you guys something", he added. I remained silent for a moment and stared the files kept on the table in front of me. "Okay", I said as I calculated that I'll be able to finish the work on time plus I needed a break.
I and Shreya sat on the dinning table in Darshan's house as he had cooked for the first time. He wanted us to taste his dish. "Here you go", he said and came out of the kitchen with a covered tray. He looked very excited and a big ear to ear smile stretched on his face. The moment we tasted the food,  our eyes widened, I shouldn't say it but, Darshan was a horrible cook, we didn't know how to react. We looked at eachother and then at Darshan who stood besides the table. "How's it? ", he asked and raised his eyebrows. I somehow finished chewing and swallowing it up and said, "Try it yourself na". I slid the plate towards him and the moment he took the first bite, his eyes widened and it felt like they would come out of his eye sockets any moment. "How's it? ", Shreya asked making me chuckle. "Amazingly horrible", Darshan exclaimed and all three of us laughed our lungs out.
(flashback ends)
My lips curved into a wide smile but the smile vanished as I recalled that the same Darshan had made the dinner. "Arya", he called out from outside and I mentally prepared myself to digest the food as I slowly walked outside.
I managed to take a small bite and my eyes widened again. This time, the food was not at all horrible, in fact it was amazing. "You made it?", I asked him in surprise. He nodded his head with a smile on his face. "But you didn't know how to cook, right? So how did this happen? ", I asked. "I used to cook daily, secretly", he said and winked at me.

[Darshan]:
I was happy that she was normal now but that was all we talked while having the dinner. We didn't had a single word after that and I don't know why but, I hesitated in even looking towards her. When I finished my dinner, I saw her, she had barely finished half of it and struggled to break a small piece of chapati. Her face clearly reflected that she needed help, she can't do it but she didn't said a word and silently continued her struggle. I gently pushed her hand away and took the piece of chapati, rolled some sabzi in it and placed it near her lips.
