Shiv saw Anika on the stairs and a sense of being alive came into him. Anika stood there a bit stunned looking at Shiv's Pale face.

Anika: "Shiv kia huwa?"

Ram, Priya, Mr Bajaj and Prerna looked at them. Even Om was not understanding anything.

Shiv ran and hugged Anika shocking everyone. Bhavya was least bothered into the drama going on.

Anika was taken aback by Shiv's reaction. Shiv hugged her more tightly.

Shiv: "Thank God Anika ap theek hain. Thank God you are in front of me. Kaha thi ap?"

Anika saw her parents looking at them, she moved a bit back.

Anika: "Aapko kia hogya hai? Ap itnay pareshan ku horahay hn? Mai upar hi toh gayi thi i told you joota badalnay."

Shiv held Anika's hand: "Yeah, I know."

Ram: "Shiv why are you so tensed, kya huwa?"

Priya: "Mr Kapoor let me ask, Shiv baby kya howa?"

Mr Bajaj and Prerna exchanged looks.

Om came towards Shiv and put his hand on Shiv's shoulder: "Bhai sab theek toh hai?"

Thats when Shiv reacted: "Woh... " - he paused – "Someone called me and said ke they kidnapped Anika... I mean..." - He looked at Anika again.

Prerna walked towards Anika surrounding her from her shoulders making sure she was fine.

Prerna: "Tu theek hai?"

Anika: "Haan mummy mein theek hoon."

Mr Bajaj: "Yeh sab kya hai Shiv? Kaun thay woh log?"

Shiv looked around: "I don't know uncle woh unho ny call kia and they said Anika upar hai and they kidnapped her."

Mr Bajaj: "WHAT THE HELL."

Shiv: "Anika is fine thank God. Magar i dont know woh itnay sure thay jaisay they have her really. Unko yeh bhi pata tha ky woh upar jootay change karnay gai hai."

Prerna: "unko yeh sb kaisay pata?" - She looked around her heart was racing – "Mr Bajaj, Gauri kaha hai?"

Everybody looked around; Om got his heart racing; Anika's eyes became bigger.

Anika: "haan meri Gauri kaha hai?"

Om was getting scared: "woh uski dress par kuch gir gaya tha woh washroom use..." - he stopped – "MEIN LAIKY ATA HOON."

On the road just in front of the menu, few goons were dragging a girl whose face was covered with a cloth, she had scratches on her arm. Suddenly the cloth came off and the goons saw her face.

Goon: "Yeh toh dosri larki hai! YEH SHIV KAPOOR KI HONAY WALI BIWI TOH NI HAI!"

Goon 2: "Yeh toh uski choti behan hai. GAURI BAJAJ."

Gauri was looking traumatised by all the pulling and dragging her sleeves were torn, she was petrified.

Gauri: "Kaun ho tum log? Mujhy kyu pakra hai? Janay doo mujy!"

She was about to run when the goon grabbed her from her hair.

Goon: "Chalo Acha kia isko lyky agaye, maine pehly hi socha tha isko uthaein gy. Ismy iski behn ki jaan hai, isko kuch howa toh woh waisy hi ni bachay gi, uski takleef sy Shiv kapoor aur bajaj and kapoor entriprises waisay bhi hil jaye ga."

Gauri cried in pain: "Leave me.. choro mujhy" - She shouted – "DIIIII BACHAOOO, mummy papaaaaaa..diiiiiii"

Goon shouted: "CHUPPPP KARRR WARNA YAHI GOLI MARDO GA!"

Gauri's eyes got bigger and tear fell off her eyes.

Goon 1: "Laga uss Shiv ko phone!"

They dialled Shiv.

INSIDE THE VENUE

Om was about to go up when Shiv's number rang. Om stopped

Shiv: "usi number se call hai"

Ram: "Put it on speaker"

Shiv: "hello"

Goon: "Woh kia hai na Mr Kapoor thori si mistake hogayi thi. Apki biwi ko humnay apky liye chor diya aur pyari si saali ko utha lia hai. We have Gauri Bajaj."

As the phone was on speakers Gauri was heard shouting.

Gauri: "mummyyyyyy papaaaaaa deeeee help me bachaoooo mujhy.." - She cried loudly.

Shiv: "Aeee you, what are you doing to her?!"

Everyone was shocked. Priya covered her face.

Om came towards Shiv and snatched the phone: "Gauriiii!"

Anika with Prerna and Bajaj came ahead, and Mr Bajaj took the phone: "Meri beti ko kyu pakra hai. Gauri?? Baby theek ho na? Baby papa is here."

Prerna: "Mr Bajaj kuch keejay!"

Anika: "Gauri tu theek hai na? Teri jeeji tujhy kuch ni honay daein gi... Kuch ni..."

Gauri: "Di mujhy apky paas ana hai pata ni yeh log kaun hai. Dee mujy bht dard horaha hai.. Dee bht darr lag raha hai dee plzzzzz bachalooo..."

Anika cried hard: "Please meri behn ko chordeejay plzzzz usko kuch mat keejay..."

Gauri tried to get free: "CHOROOO MUJHYYY"

One of the goons slapped her hard and she fainted saying "dee"

Om took the phone: "AEEEE HATH KAISAY LAGAYA USAY? Dont touch her... I will kill you.. Hath mat lagana usay... Gauri i will save you.. I will... I LOVE YOU GAURI..."

Gauri was seen on floor while Om was saying I love you.

Everyone looked at Om stunned.

Goons: "Tum kapoors aur bajajs ny agar koi hoshyari ki toh Mr Bajaj apni beti ki chotay chotay tukray paooo gy... Agli call ka intezar karna."

Prerna faltered and was about to fall when Mr Bajaj supported her.

Anika dropped on her knees not believing what has happened.

Om fell on the floor as well. Shiv was helpless and didn't knew what to say, whom to support, what to do...

Om cried: "I love her bhai.. I love her meri gauri ko bacha leejay... Bhai woh ku laigayee usay abhiii kuch dair pehly toh woh meray samnay thi..." - He cried and Priya went to him sitting beside him hugging him calming him down.

Om: "Maa, I love her maa.. Usko dard dee rahy hain. Please bring her.."

Saathiyaaaaaa

Prerna cried in Mr Bajaj's arms: "yeh sb kaun hain? Mr Bajaj humari beti ko kyu le gaye.. Kaun hain yeh sab log. Mujhy meri beti chaiye mujjy kuch ni pata. I need my daughter back.. I need her.."

She was frantic.

Mr Bajaj: "Prerna kuch ni hoga relax."

Anika: "Mein leke aoo gi apni behan ko.. HAAN mai leke aoo gi."

She got up running towards the front door and Shiv ran stopping her, he pulled her.

Anika: "choriyeee mujhy... Maine kaha choriyeee mujyy."

Shiv: "No Anika LISTEN TO ME GAURI KO KUCH NI HOGA."

Anika: "Choriye mujhy Shivaay woh meri chutki ko lygaye hn ap jantay hn na kitnay saalo baad mujyy meri behan mili hai? Meri jaan basti hai usmy meri zindagi hai woh. Mera khoon meri chutki meri gauri.. Mai jao gi!" – She didn't even realize what she was saying.

Shiv shook her hard: "Anika, I promise kuch ni hoga! We will bring Gauri back, I swear on you!!"

Anika cried loudly hugging Shiv hiding herself in his arms.

Anika: "Shivaay kya hogya yeh KYA HOGYA"

Shiv: "shhh just relax.."

Ram: "I AM GONNA CALL THE POLICE..."

Shiv left Anika and ran to Ram: "no dad, commissioner ko call keejay kisi ko kaano kan khabar ni honi chaiye else they can harm gauri."

Om stood up and hugged Shiv: "Bhai usko kuch ni hoga na?"

Shiv: "Nehi hoga kuch O, mein teray pyar ko kuch ni honay du ga.. Stop crying."

LATER

POLICE INTERROGATION

Now only bajajs, kapoors, Rudra and Bhavini were available with commissioner and his team.

Om and Anika were sitting on two different corners in distorted state crying. Priya was supporting and calming Prerna whereas Mr Bajaj were making calls. Anuraj stood with Rudra, even Bhavini was quite.

Comissioner: "Mr Bajaj yeh zaroor kisi aisay ka kaam hai jo apko chot phonchana chahta tha. Thats they kidnapped gauri. Apko kisi par shaq?"

Mr Bajaj: "no comissioner sahab i dont think koi aisa dushman tha."

Prerna looked up and saw Mr Bajaj: "agar kisi ko dushmani thi toh kuch aur karta meri bachi ko kyu le gaye.." - She came to Mr Bajaj - "Mr Bajaj, I am telling you agar meri Gauri ko kuch hogya na toh mai marjao gi!"

Mr Bajaj hugged Prerna: "Stop saying it Prerna humari Gauri ko kuch ni hoga. Aur comissioner sahab shehar ki pori forces laga deejay magar mujhy meri beti chaiye. Uska baal bhi baka howa toh mai iss shehar ko Agg laga du ga."

Anika cried and ran to Bajaj and Prerna hugging them: "Papa abhi Gauri ka kuch pata ni chala na, kyu? Woh aj tk kahi meray begair ni rahi hai na gayi hai. Woh kaisay reh rahi hogi wahan. Kaisay? Mummy gauri kab ayee gi? "

Prerna hugged Anika: "Anika baby kuch ni hoga teri behan ko usko ana hi hoga."

Comissioner: "sir hum saray notice de daein gy magar we still have to find out apko koi threat call aai ho ya kisi ny kabhi apko nuqsan phonchanay ki koshish ki ho."

Prerna saw Bhavini in front of her.

Prerna: "iss larki ny meri betiyo pe hamla kia tha."

Bhavini was shocked so was everyone.

Prerna: "Mr Bajaj yaad hai apko gauri ny kaja tha ky yeh Anika ki egagement py usko nuqsan phonchana chahti thi..."

Bhavini: "Mrs bBajaj woh alag baat thi magar maine Gauri ko kidnap ni kia hai."

Prerna to commissioner: "mujhy kuch ni pata magar ap iss larki ko lyky jayee isay pochiye interrogate kee jiye."

Commissioner ordered female constables: "Le jaye isko."

Bhavini ran to Rudra: "Rudra do something boliye inko humny kuch ni kia. Maine gauri ko kidnap ni kia hai. I swear... Haan mein Gauri aur Anika sy badla laina chahti thi magar aisay ni."

Anika was crying and looking at Bhavini. Bhavini ran to Anika and held her hands. Anika had flashes of same thing.

Bhavini: "Anika please inko bolo aisa ni ha. Tell your mom. Inko roko.. Anika please sunooo na"

Anika was numb as female constables tried dragging Bhavini away.

Bhavini: "Bhaabhii pleaseeeeee bachaiyee humay"

Anika got stunned as a flash of someone dragging bhavini came into her head.

Anika held her hand: "rukiyeee bhavya ko kahi mat leke jayee"

Female constables left her.

Bhavini was stunned.

Prerna: "Anika tu yeh kia keh rahi hai. Teri khudki behan ki jaan khatray mai hai aur iss larki ny tum dono ko nuqsan phonchaya tha."

Anika: "haan mummy par Bhavya lakh galt sahi magar mera dil kehta hai isny meri Gauri ko kuch ni kia."

Bhavini cried realising her mistake.

Rudra: "Mein Bhavini ko jaanta hoon, woh aisa kabhi ni kr sakti."

Prerna: "Toh phir kisny kia hai?

Priya: "Prerna ji sab theek hojaye ga"

Shiv remembered the call.

Shiv: "kal mujjy kuch logo ny call kia tha commissioner uncle."

Ram: "WHAT CALL SHIV??"

Om came towards Shiv.

Anika remembered the people they met at shopping.

Shiv: "woh kal bhi mujy threat karnay aye thy mehta and sons ky contract ko lyky jo bajaj uncle aur dad ny sign kia hai. I thought its nothing serious"

Anika came towards Shiv: "Jab maine apse pocha toh apny mujhy kaha aisa kuch nahi hai. Aur ab..."

Shiv: "Anika try to understand"

Before he could say anything else, Ram came and slapped Shiv shocking everyone. Anika covered her mouth.

Priya was shocked and ran to Shiv: "Mr Kapoor kia kar rahy hain ap?!"

Ram: "yeh hota hai jab bachay maa baap ko kuch batana zarori ni samjhty. Yeh kal btata toh aj hum security barha sakty thy event postpone karskty thy magar ni. NOW SEE gauri's life is at stake."

Shiv: "sorry dad."

Ram: "tumharay sorry keh dainy sy bachi wapis ni ajaye gi."

Prerna: "Mr Bajaj agar mujhy pata hota ky ameeri meri beti ki jaan ki dushman banjaye gi toh mai gareeb hona prefer karti. Aisa contract ky peechay humny yeh kia kardia."

Mr Bajaj: "sab theek hoga. Mai kardu ga sb theek"

LATER IN NIGHT

All were waiting anxiously for the call. Anika could not stop crying.

Om is sitting in the corner with Gauri's picture and talking to it.

Om: "btanay ka mauka toh daiti partner. You can't leave me like this. You have to come back. Tum ni ho toh mujhy aisa lag raha hai ky mujhmai kuch ni hai chota packet. Come back Gauri.."

A tear dropped on Gauri's picture.

In a godown, Gauri was seen tied up with her mouth covered with cloth. She opened her semi conscious eyes and her mind said a name

"Omkara ji"

She could hardly see anything but could figure out few men standing near her talking.

She heard

Pratap: "jaisay hi mehta and sons ky contract ky paper hath mai ajaein waisay hi yahan iss chirya ko khatam kardaina wahan uss kapoor ky betay ko."

Gauri shook her head.

Pratap: "Shiv kapoor ko andaza ni hai ky yahan sauda zindagiyo ka howa hai thakur ji se. Woh soch raha hoga hum kuch mangay gy aur woh deke woh apni pyari saali ko bacha ly ga..."

Gauri in her mind "aisa nahi hosakta mai aisa ni honay du gi"

She closed her eyes again

Here Om was feeling so uneasy; he hugged Gauri's picture.

Mujhko tu chaiye
Tera pyar chaiye

Aek baar nahi sau baar chaiyee

Om remembered his and Gauri's time. There moments of friendship and banter. Her running away and him running after her.

Om: "Gauri come back!!"

He had a flash of Gauri on road and he was hugging her crying. He got startled and went upstairs, got his canvas, and started making the image he had in his mind.

He was manically trying to make it.

Bin kahay bhi magar
Mai toh reh na sako

Om: "kia hai yeh tasveer.. Jo baar baar zehan mai ati hai."

He teared up the sketch and started making another one.

When suddenly from below he saw his figure appeared. Om was stunned he looked at himself, he was wearing a white kurta. Om saw his image forwarding his hand sideways and a hand came on it and om saw gauri appearing in a white sari with sindoor and mangalsutra adorned in her neck. WHAT WAS HAPPENING

She looked different. The images of him and gauri was coming towards him and he couldn't move. Both were looking at each other smiling

Iss bekhudi mai akhir
Kaha chain pao ga?
Mar ky bhi mai tujse juda ho na pao ga

They went past him, and Om faltered backwards he was sweating a lot. He turned to look but there was no one.

Om: "yeh kya ho raha hai... Yeh sab"

He was confused.

DOWNSTAIRS

Anika was crying and Shiv sat beside her he wiped her tears. Anika removed his hand from her face.

Anika: "Mujhe koi dilasa ni chaiye. Mujhe meri behan chaiye. De sakty hain ap?"

Shiv: "Anika ap"

Anika: "you said abse sab share karein ge... You knew meri behan meri jaan hai. Mera saans laina mushkil howa va hai.koi kuch ni kar raha. Apny kaisay uski life khatray mai daal dee Shiv kaisay?"

Shiv: "Anika trust me, I thought it is nothing serious"

Anika: "Jab maine pocha apko btana chaiye tha na ap chupatay na hi yeh sab hota"

Shiv made Anika look in his eyes: "Anika kuch ni hoga trust me. Mai bacha lu ga gauri ko i promise mai leky aoo ga"

Anika removed his hand again and stood up: "usay kuch ho bhi ni sakta warna kisi keliye bhi acha ni hoga."

She went from there crying.

Shiv looked at his phone and there was a message.

"Gauri agar sahi salamat chaiye toh mehta and sons ki project file humaray hawalay kardo. Kal subah kaali maa mandir ky paas wali pahari par akelay ana warna apni saali ky tukray apni biwi ko gift kardaina"

Shiv was sweating.

Shiv to himself: "Anika I promise I will bring our Gauri back. I WILL..."

Shiv went to the living room where Anika was sitting with her head in her hands with her parents while Priya was and Ram were supporting a devastated Om.

Shiv knelt in front of Anika and held her hand. She looked up.

Shiv: "I know it's all my mistake Anika, but I promise mein Gauri ko kuch ni hone doonga, trust me. Kuch bhi karke I will bring her back."

Anika looked sideways weeping.

Shiv looked at Prerna and Mr Bajaj. He joined his hands in front of them. Prerna slightly shook her face and held his hands while Mr Bajaj placed a hand on Shiv's head as a blessing.

Shiv went to sit next to Om and placed a hand on his shoulder. Om looked at him.

Shiv cupped his face: "Tumara bhai hai na yahan? Gauri ko sahi salamat vapis le kr aane ki zimmedari meri hai, ek anch tak ni aane doonga teri Gauri ko." – He wiped Om's face. Om hugged him.

While still hugging Om, Shiv looked emotionally at Priya who was sitting beside Om. Priya placed a hand on his cheek wiping the tear that had dropped from his eye.

ON THE OTHER HAND

Bhavini was sitting in car next to Rudra as the latter was going to drop her home.

Rudra: "You know Bhavini..." – She eyed him when he called her like that so he corrected himself – "Bhavya... aaj mujhe Om and Shiv ko us state mai dekh ke bohat bura laga. Mujhe pata ni kyu par mujhe aisa feel huwa jaise unko toot te huwe dekh kr, mera dil bhi toota. I have met them in few parties or for business deals only but I don't know why unke saath kuch connection feel hota hai.."

Bhavini: "Even I felt bad aur mujhe Gauri ki bohat tension ho rahi hai but... Prerna aunty ne seedha mujhe hi kyu blame kya! I mean.. I swear Rudra, believe me, mein aisa kuch kabhi nehi kr sakti even if I don't like Anika and Gauri."

Rudra: "I trust you" – he smiled at Bhavini whose corner of lip lifted a little too hearing that – "But tumhe nehi lagta ki you went a little overboard with your dislike towards Gauri and Anika, that's why Prerna aunty ne aise react kiya."

Bhavini looked down feeling guilty: "I know but..." – she fidgeted her fingers.

Rudra glanced at her and removed a hand from the steering placing it on Bhavini's one: "Bhavya..."

Before Rudra could say anything, Bhavini widened her eyes seeing a truck coming from the side road ame shouted: "Rudraaaaa!!"

Rudra immediately looked ahead and quickly counter steered. Both shut their eyes as the car was about to hit a tree but thankfully Rudra applied sudden brakes on time. They avoided the clash with the tree but suddenly had some unclear flashes of a similar accident happening with them earlier. They both opened their eyes, they were sweating and breathing heavily more because of those unclear images that flashed in their minds than for the accident they survived. They were confused and stunned.

Rudra calmed himself down and looked at Bhavini: "Tum theek ho?"

Bhavini gulped down and nodded in a yes: "Mujhe pata ni aisa kyu laga jaise yeh sab pehle bhi..." – She didn't know how to explain.

But Rudra had understood: "Mujhe bhi..."

LATER

Shiv walked out the house sitting inside his car. He looked at the papers of the deal with Mehta and sons and recalled Anika's words, Ram slapping him and his brother breaking down for Gauri.

Shiv took a deep breath and started the car after placing the papers on the empty seat next to him. He was unaware that another car was following his one and Anika and Om were sitting inside. They had got doubts seeing Shiv's behaviour.

Om: "Bhai ka behaviour kuch theek ni lag raha tha. Kaha jaa rahe hai?"

Anika: "Kya Shiv ko Gauri ke baare mai kuch pata chala hoga? Mera dil bohat ghabra raha hai..."

Noor-e-khuda, noor-e-khuda
Tu kahan chupa hai hume yeh bataa

After a while, Shiv reached the location where the kidnappers called him. It was a hill. Few minutes later, few goons came dragging Gauri whose mouth and hands were tied and all stood near the edge of the hill.

Shiv's eyes widened seeing her: "Gauri!" – He gasped and was about to step towards her but was stopped by Pratap who came in between.

Shiv: "Gauri ne tumara kuch ni bigada hai, usko kyu takleef de rahe ho? Choro usko!"

Pratap: "Pehle files do, phir hum ladki ko chod denge."

Shiv: "Pehle Gauri ke haath kholo."

Pratap glared at him. Gauri shook her head and was mummering something, struggling to tell Shiv that they are not willing to let them go after getting the papers.

In the meantime, Anika and Om had reached the top of the hill walking.

Anika saw Gauri and lipped her name: "Gauri..."

She was about to rush towards her but Om pulled her behind Shiv's car which was parked a little far from goons.

Om: "Hume abhi nehi jaana chahiye."

Anika: "Par Gauri..."

Om: "Nehi Bhabhi, Mujhe Bhai par pura bharosa hai, woh sambhal lenge."

Anika looked at Gauri and cried.

A goon removed the rope from Gauri's hands and at the same time Shiv handed over the papers to Pratap, but he couldn't make any other move as few goons immediately held him from behind and some others grabbed Gauri again too.

Shiv: "What the... tumne bola tha ki papers miley ge to Gauri ko chod doge! Leave her!"

Gauri struggled to free herself and kept mummering something but in vain as her mouth was tied.

Pratap: "I am so sorry Shiv Kapoor" – he said sarcastically – "par hume upar se order aaye hai ki hume tum dono ko maarna hai so... tum dono mai se kaun pehle upar jaana chahiye ga?" – He laughed evilly and looked at Gauri – "Iska mu kholo. Akhir akhri khwahish ka haq to sabko milna chahiye."

Shiv: "Gauri tum pehla mauka dekh kr yahan se bhaago, let me handle this."

Gauri cried shaking her head: "Nehi Jiju, aap yahan meri wajah se aaye, chaley jaye aap. Mein handle kar loongi."

Shiv: "Pagal ho kya?! Tum jaao yahan se, mene bola na mein sambhal loonga!"

Gauri: "Jiju I..."

She couldn't complete her sentence as she slipped losing her balance and falling towards the valley. She screamed.

Shiv: "GAURIIII!!!!"

He pushed away the goons holding him and rushed towards Gauri holding her hand on time.

Om and Anika were stunned: "Gauriiii!" – they both shouted and rushed towards them.

Shiv was trying to pull Gauri up but, as soon as Anika and Om came out and were seen by Pratap, the latter took out his gun and shot towards Gauri and Shiv.

The bullet touched Gauri's shoulder removing her one hand from Shiv's grip. As soon as that happened, Shiv became numb. His mind got jammed and he could only visualize one clear picture: Gauri coming between Shivaay and Tej and getting shot. He could not see anything else except that moment again and again.

Om and Anika ran towards Gauri and Shiv.

Gauri looked at Shiv with teary eyes: "Jiju... di ka... di ka khayal..."

She could not say anything else as Shiv unintentionally left her hand which slipped from his grip. Shiv was just too stunned to react. A far gunshot was continuously echoing in his mind and he could only remember Gauri getting shot.

Anika stopped dead on her tracks. She placed a hand on her heart as she felt her breath getting stuck and her eyes widened.

Om ran towards Gauri as fast as he could and tried grabbing her hand but, in the vain tentative, his foot slipped from the edge of the hill too and he fell from there rolling down in the valley.

That's when Shiv finally got conscious again, but it was too late.

A tear skipped on Anika's cheek after which she closed her eyes and her knees gave up as she fell on the ground fainting.

Shiv: "OMMM!! GAURIIII!!" – He screamed his lungs out looking at the valley – "Yeh mene kya kar diya... yeh kaise... Gauri ka haath mene..." – He could not believe what just happened.

Shiv looked behind and saw the goons running away while Anika was lying unconscious. He held his hands on the nape extremely tensed and then rushed towards Anika kneeling down near her and holding her hand trying to wake her up: "Anikaa! Anika utho, aankhein kholo!"

A tear skipped on his cheek as she was unresponsive.
