Bani's POV

"What do you mean bas itna hi..? "

I asked being shocked.

"Tumhari muskurahat se zyada mehnga nahi hein.."

He said with a smile and starting driving.

Waah! Bade log aur unki badi badi batein. 

Accha bol toh aese rahi hein jaise you didn't find it hot. My heart teased.

Kuch bhi matlab.

I mumbled slowly.

"Kuch kaha tumne.. ? "

He asked.

"Nahi toh.. Bilkul nahi.. "

I said fastly.

"Cool.. "

He said and we soon reached home.

It was almost lunch time by the time we reached.

"Arey tum log aa gaye.. "

Bela bhabhi said.

"Hum tumhara hi wait kar rahe the... Let's have lunch.. "

Mahir bhai said.

"Maa and Dad won't join...? "

Veer asked with hopeful eyes.

"Woh room main hi khayenge.."

Bhabhi said and Veer nodded melancholy.

"Waise Mr Singhania aaj aapki banayi Rabdi toh maine taste ki hi nahi... "

I said trying to change the mood.

" Tumhari banayi Kheer bhi nahi chaki maine.. "

He said.

" Mere kheer ke samne tumhari Rabdi fiki par jayegi.."

I said with a teasing smile.

" Accha baba abb kha na khao pehele dono phir apna competition karna.. "

Bhabhi said.

Soon the food was served and we had the lunch.

I know Veer was trying to act like he was unbothered by everything but I knew very well that he was very affected at the moment.

"Mahirji waise kal aap office se files la dijiyega."

Bhabhi said.

"Sure Sona.. "

Mahir bhai said.

"Bhabhi aap kya kaam karti hein..? "

I asked. I really didn't know about this.

"Main financial advisor hoon Singhania Corp. Ki.. Mihu ka dekhbal karna rehta hein toh isiliye work from home kar leti hoon... "

Bhabhi said.

"Maine toh kaha bhi tha ki hum turns le lete hein par meri sunta kon hein.. "

Mahir bhai said cutely complaining about Bhabhi.

"Mahirji aap Mihu ka dhayan rakh sakte hein mujhe pata hein par uski bhuk toh main hi mita sakti hoon.. Abhi bohot chota hein woh.. Thoda bada ho jayega aur phir hum turns le lenge.. "

Bhabhi said.

"Okay my Sona.. "

He said kissing on her cheek and she blushed.

Awww. So cute indeed.

"They are so cute.. "

I said trying to gain Veer's attention.

" They are.. "

He said with a smile.

"You know I always idolized their relationship.. "

He continued saying.

"They are indeed very admirable.. "

I said.

"Ek baat puchu..? "

I asked.

"Puchiye."

He said looking at me.

" Tumhe kaisi ladki chahiye thi..? "

I asked.

He took a second to register my question.

" Apne aaine se puch lena.. "

He said and got up to put the plate and I just kept looking at his disappearing figure.

I could feel my face heating up.
Did he just said what I heard?
He really has his way with words.

Calm down Bani. Calm down Bani.

I said to my insanely beating heart.

He came back with a bowl of kheer and Rabdi in his hands.

I went to put the plate in the basin.
As I returned , I took the rabdi in my hand and he took the kheer.

We were about to take a bite when Bhabhi said.

"Wait! Wait! Wait! "

"What happened Bhabhi? "

I asked.

"Bani ka toh samjh aata hein Veer par tum bhi.. "

Bhabhi said.

"I didn't understand.. "

He said.

"Arey buddhu.. Iss rasam main tum dono ko ek dusre ko apne hathon se khilana hei.. "

Mahir bhai said.

Me and Veeranshu looked at each other for a moment.

I realised that he was hesitant. He didn't want to make me feel uncomfortable.
So I extended the spoon near his mouth. He slowly moved forward and tasted the kheer. For a second I felt him being lost in the taste. I couldn't read his expressions thought.

Pasand aaya ya nahi?

I thought.

"Bhabhi... You wanted files right... I will go and get them.. "

He said and got up.

I was quite confused. He didn't even respond to how the food tasted. This was so sudden.Was it this bad? I felt little sad but didn't show an ounce of it on my face.

"Par Veer.. "

Bela bhabhi got up to stop Veer when Mahir Bhai held her hand.

"Rehene do Sona.. "

He said and Veer left.

I didn't say anything and left from the dining table.

I felt a little heart broken. Why did he react in that way? Was it so bad? Or did he finally realise that he committed a mistake by marrying.

I felt heavy with my thoughts when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to look at the source.

" Bela bhabhi.. "

I said.

"Bani.. I know you are upset.. "

She said sitting beside me.

" Naraz hone ka haq nahi hein mujhe Bhabhi.. "

I said trying to not meet her eyes. Eye's reflect our emotions and I didn't want her to see the hurt in my eyes. I myself couldn't understand why I was feeling so bad about such a trivial thing.

" Pura haq hein tumhe.. Devar ji ki Ardhangini ho..unki patni ho.. "

She said and I looked at her.

" He didn't mean to hurt you.It's just that by tasting it he remembered someone.. Someone very dear to him... "

She said and I scrunched my brows in confusion.

"Who..? "

I asked.

"It's not my story to tell Bani. I am sure Veer will tell it to you soon. Please give him some time. "

She said and I nodded.

"Despite the circumstances.. Veer has always being nice to me Bhabhi. His response did hurt me a little but I know he can never hurt anyone intentionally.. "

I said and She kissed me on my forehead.

"Cheeze galat tarike se zarur huyi lekin shayad uska khubsurat anjam rab ne pehele hi tay kar diya tha.. "

She said and got up with a smile.

"Mihu uth gaya ho.. Main chalti hoon.. "

She said further and I nodded.

As Bhabhi left again thoughts consumed me. Everything was happening so soon that it was confusing me. First Teer's betrayal, then my father's betrayal , Chandrakala maa's weird behavior and now Veer 's reaction.

So many things were going on in my head.

That's when I decided that I had to calm myself down. And my source of regaining composer was dancing.
I decided to practice for my performance tomorrow. I was the narrator for the dance drama tomorrow.

I played the music and slowly started loosening my body and swaying with the music.

My feets were moving with the rhythm as my hand was moving with the music.

Few hours later

Two hours passed and I was still practicing. I didn't get time to practice much for the program due to my wedding functions and hence I wanted to utilise my time to it's fullest.

I twirled around when my body collided with a solid figure.

As I looked up my eyes met against his beautiful orbs. Those orbs that were looking at me with so much concern and warmth.

His hands were behind and my one hand was on his shoulder. We kept looking at each other, both of us not breaking the eye contact. When he said..

"I am sorry Bani.."

He said softly.

" You don't have to apologize Veer.. "

I said

" No Bani.. I have to apologize.. I disrespected my queen.. "

He said and mouth parted little with the effect of his words.

" No matter what it was. I shouldn't have gone like that.. "

He said looking down.

"Hey.. "

I said and held his face. Making him look at me.

" We all are humans Veer. We make mistakes. But what important is whether we correct then or not .Whether that mistake was intentional or not. And I know you can never hurt anyone intentionally. "

I said and he smiled a little.

"Toh phir puri karle..? "

He said and sat on the bed. His hands still behind holding something.

" Kya..? "

I asked.

"Humari adhuri rasam.. "

He said with a smile and I got confused.
Which ritual is he talking about while sitting on the bed.

Wait! Is it what I think it is!!

He wants to... Do that... With me..

" Veer don't you think we should wait for sometime.. "

I said nervously.

I felt like my heart will come out of my chest any moment.

" I can't wait any longer. I want to prove I am the best.. "

He said and chuckled.

Wait whattttttt?

" Veer let's have dinner first then we will.. "

I said and got interrupted.

"Sometimes it's better to taste desert first. I tasted yours will you not taste mine..? "

He said casually.

"Whaaaaatttttt...? "

I said.

"Gharwali Rabdi ki baat kar raha tha.. "

"We can't have sex for now.. "

We both said together and kept looking at each other blankly. Registering each other 's words.

"WHATTTTTTT...! "

We said together.

"Bani I was talking about the rabdi which I made. I tasted the kheer you made but you didn't taste the rabdi I made for
you.. "

He said fastly trying to justify himself. He looked so cute being flabbergasted.

While me? Well " dharti fat jaye aur main usmein sama jau" moment was going on.

" I... I... "

I said .

"I didn't know you have such a dirty mind Gharwali... "

He said smirking.

" I didn't mean that.. "

I said fumbling.

"You sure didn't.. "

He chuckled.

"Now have this.. "

He said extending the spoon. He had brought the rabdi, that's what he was hiding.

I didn't say anything further and tasted it. And damn it was really good. The flavour was beautiful.

"Mhmmmm"

I moaned as the sweet flavours bursted in my mouth.

Accha khana banane wala Pati - CHECK.

"Don't make such sounds Gharwali.. "

He said and I looked at him

"Wh... Why? "

I asked .

"Because then I would want to taste another desert.. "

He said and left from the room.

Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Whatttttttttttttttttt ?

Veer ko lagta hein Ganji chudail uthakar legayi. Ye mera Veer nahi ho sakta hein.

"Yours? "

My heart teased me for the second time today.

"Atleast get creative in teasing me."

I told my heart.

"Okay then Your sweetness taster... "

My heart said and I chocked.

"Ashleel dil kahinka.. "

I said slowly.

"Bani khana lag gaya! "

I heard Bela Bhabhi'a voice and got down.

Everybody was seated for the dinner. Even Maa was there.

I know my last talk with her didn't go that well but I had to give her a reality check.

Putra moh main sach ko dekhna chod dena galat hein.

"Come beta.. "

Papa said and I smiled a little.

"Tumhe kuch dena tha.. "

He said and took out a box.

He handed it over to me as I opened and found kangan in it.

"Beta ye kangan humne humari bahu ke liye laya hein.. "

He said with a smile and bend to touch his feet when he stopped me midway.

" Betiyan per nahi chuti.. "

He said .

"Waise laya toh Teer ki patni ke liye tha par afsos woh uska ho nahi paya.. "

Maa said bitterly.

"Chandrakala! Ye humne Bani ke liye laya tha aur ye Bani ka hein.. "

He said and she scoffed. Veer held his spoon tightly in his hand. I know he didn't like her taunting me.

" Bani.. Ye humari taraf se.. Peheli rasoi ka shagun.. "

Mahir bhai said and gave me a beautifully set.

"Thank you Papa. Thank you Bhai and Bhabhi par iski kya zarurat thi.. "

I said.

"Bado ka aashirvaad hein beta.. "

Papa said. I smiled a little.

" Aur tumne kya apne sasural ke liye ? "

Chandrakala maa asked. It almost felt like she was mocking me.

"Mere liye Bani khud rab ka bohot bada tohfa hein, aur kuch nahi chahiye mujhe.. "

Veer said while looking at his plate to avoid eye contact with Maa.

A warm feeling filled me from within. The Veer who never spoke back to his mother even when she was wrong was taking stand for me.

His reply brought a smile on everybody's face and Maa didn't utter any word later.

We soon had dinner and came back to our room.

A smile was on my face and I didn't even know why.

" Abhi se itna muskura rahi ho.. Mera tohfa toh pehele dekhlo.. "

He said suddenly whispering in my ear from behind.

I turned to look at him as our noses brushed a little. A red hue formed on face seeing his intense gaze.

"Accha aesa kya tohfa laya hein..? "

I asked

"Dekhna hein toh chalo mere sath.. "

He said extending his hand.

"But where..? "

I asked

"Bharosa hein mujhpar..? "

He asked.

" Jise mere rab ne mere liye chuna ho.. Uspar kaise bharosa nahi kar sakti.."

I said and he smiled and held my hand.
