Five Years Later: Shree Mansion

The morning sun filtered through the soft curtains of Arjun and Pallavi's bedroom, painting the room in golden hues. The large bed, adorned with a floral duvet, seemed to be a battleground for chaos. Nestled under the cozy cover were two adorable bundles of energy—their five-year-old twins, Aarav and Arvi.

The calm of the morning shattered when a muffled cry pierced the air. Aarav, the ever-sensitive little boy, sat up with tears streaming down his cherubic face.

"Mumma! Arvi mujhe neendh mein kick kar rahi hai!" Aarav's voice quivered as he rubbed his little backside, glaring at his sleeping sister.

But Pallavi, the center of Aarav’s universe, was nowhere to be seen. Oblivious to her son’s complaints, she remained absent, leaving the duvet to swallow the mischievous Arvi deeper into its warmth.

"Mumma, kaha ho aap?" Aarav’s plea grew louder, his voice trembling with urgency. Being a quintessential mumma’s boy, his mornings always began with her comforting hug.

Before the situation could escalate, the bathroom door flew open, and a disheveled Arjun appeared, still toweling his damp hair. Catching sight of Aarav’s teary face, he sprinted to his side.

"Kya hua babu, mera babu ro kyu raha hai?" Arjun scooped him up, gently patting his back as Aarav clung to him like a koala.

Through sniffles, Aarav asked, "Papa, mumma kaha hai?"

Arjun ruffled his son’s hair and chuckled. "Bhul gaye ? Mumma Portugal gayi hai world dance competition ke liye. Aaj afternoon flight se wapas aayegi."

A muffled voice emerged from beneath the duvet. "Haan, Aarav. Bhool gaya kya duffer ? Mumma shaam tak aa jayegi!"

This was Arvi—sharp-witted and wise beyond her years. Despite being just five, her antics often resembled those of a fifteen-year-old. Spoiled thoroughly by her doting uncle Adit, she had earned the nickname "Saitaan ki Nani." Unlike Aarav, who wore his emotions on his sleeve, Arvi was the family’s little firecracker—a fearless and stubborn soul.

However, her mischievous streak had landed her in trouble recently. Two days ago, at school, Arvi had broken a classmate's nose during a heated argument. Arjun had managed to pacify the school authorities, but now, Arvi dreaded her mother’s wrath.

While Aarav wept for his mother’s return, Arvi, buried under the duvet, was strategizing ways to avoid punishment.

Amidst this chaos, Arjun’s attention shifted to the escalating war on the bed. Aarav had taken matters into his own hands, tugging at Arvi’s hair. Not one to back down, Arvi retaliated, yanking his locks with equal vigor.

"Arre! Yeh kya jungle banaya hai tum dono ne?" Arjun quickly separated them, lifting one twin in each arm. The sheer energy these two radiated could exhaust an army.

He dragged them to the bathroom, managing to bathe and dress them amidst their endless banter. Once Arvi was cleaned up, she admired herself in the mirror and announced, "Papa, mujhe butterfly clips chahiye!"

Arjun sighed, rummaging through the drawer to find the bright pink clips Pallavi had bought. Gently pinning them into Arvi’s neatly braided pigtails, he stood back to admire his handiwork.

This was the same Arjun who once commanded respect and fear in equal measure, now reduced to following his daughter’s whims. Yet, he wouldn’t trade it for the world.

"Chalo, Adit chachu tum dono ko school chhodenge," he announced, planting a kiss on both their cheeks. The twins reciprocated, leaving sticky kisses on his face before grabbing their bags and running out the door.

As silence settled over the room, Arjun collapsed onto the bed, the exhaustion of five sleepless days catching up with him. Within moments, he drifted into a deep sleep.

---

He awoke to the soothing sensation of fingers running through his hair. The faint scent of Pallavi’s perfume enveloped him. As soft lips brushed against his forehead, his eyes fluttered open. There she was—his Pallavi—her radiant smile lighting up the room.

"Tum sach mein agayi ho, ya phir yeh meri imagination hai?" Arjun propped himself up on one elbow, his voice laced with playful disbelief.

Pallavi chuckled. "Accha, toh shadi ke 8 saal baad bhi mujhe imagine karte ho?"

Without hesitation, Arjun rested his head in her lap, sighing contentedly. "I missed you, Pallu darling."

Pallavi leaned down, planting a soft kiss on his cheek. "And I missed you more, my naughty husband."

As they sat there, wrapped in each other’s presence, Arjun confessed, "Main tumhe airport lene aana chahta tha, but pata nahi kab mujhe neend aa gayi."

Pallavi smirked. "Agar din-raat kaam karoge toh yeh toh hoga, Mr. Srivastav."

Despite the chaos, exhaustion, and fleeting moments of frustration, one thing remained constant—their unshakable love for each other.

Abrahm's Hotel Inauguration

The grand opening of AA Group of Hotels, Abrahm's dream project, was a highly anticipated event. Guests, family, and media swarmed the luxurious entrance of the hotel, eager for the inauguration. However, the ceremony couldn’t proceed without Pallavi, as Abrahm held a sentimental belief—every new hotel should be inaugurated by her hands. It was her presence that symbolized luck and success for the family.

The name AA Group was deeply emotional for Abrahm, representing Aashnaa and Arvi. He loved them equally, seeing Pallavi’s childhood in Arvi's spirited personality.

Meanwhile, near the children’s play area, a small group of kids was eagerly awaiting Pallavi and her family. Among them was 4-year-old Krish, the adorable son of Aman and Shalini, holding a stash of chocolates in his tiny hands.

Shiv, Neil and Basanti's son, questioned innocently, "Krish, ithne saare chocolates kiskeliye hai?"
Krish replied with a toothy grin, "Hum sab keliye hai, Shiv!"

But before Shiv could claim a chocolate, Rayan, the energetic son of Aniruddh and Meher, chimed in, "Toh dedo sab ko!"

Krish immediately shook his head and whispered, "Nahi, nahi! Agar Arvi ko pata chala, toh sab ko khutt degi! Sab ko aane do, phir ek-ek chocolate dunga."

Suddenly, the sound of a roaring black Lamborghini pierced through the air, and all eyes turned toward it. Arjun and Pallavi had arrived with their children in tow. As the family stepped out, a wave of cheer erupted. Pallavi was congratulated by everyone for her team’s first-place win in the World Dance Festival, adding another feather to her cap.

Inside the Hotel

The inauguration ceremony was a success, marked by the ribbon-cutting by Pallavi, followed by applause from the gathered dignitaries. While the VIPs retreated to the lounge for discussions, and the media busied themselves capturing every angle of the stunning hotel interiors, the children made their way to the game section.

In the vibrant game zone, the kids began playing arcade games. Aashnaa, Arvi, Aarav, Krish, Rayan, and Shiv were immersed in their playful banter when Arvi muttered, "Accha hua woh duffer yaha nahi aaya hai. Varna Mumma ki saari attention le leta hai!"

Aarav, the ever-loyal little brother, retorted, "Mera bestie ko tum aise nahi bol sakti, Arvi!"

Scoffing, Arvi said, "Woh tumhara friend kaise ho sakta hai? Tumse 7 saal bada hai, fir tumhara best friend kaise ho sakta hai?" Her voice carried traces of jealousy, clearly annoyed by anyone who stole Pallavi's attention.

Aarav stood his ground, "Woh mera bestie hai, aur friendship ka koi age limit nahi hoti!"

Their argument escalated:

Arvi crossed her arms, "Tumhe pata bhi hai ki woh kitna irritating hai?"

Aarav shot back, "Aur tumhe pata hai ki woh kitna helpful hai? Har baar mujhe school projects mein madad karta hai!"

"Madad karta hai ya tumhare marks le leta hai?" Arvi countered.

Before Aarav could respond, a familiar voice echoed across the hall.

The Entrance

"Hi, beautiful aunty!"

Everyone turned to see a 12-year-old boy, Ansh, standing confidently with gifts in his hands. Beside him was a sweet 5-year-old girl, Neha, holding an ice cream cone.

Pallavi’s face lit up instantly. "Ansh, Neha!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with joy.

Meanwhile, Arvi muttered under her breath, "Agaya Bhai ka bestie..."

And Arjun, watching the scene, thought with a tinge of annoyance, "Agaya yeh chota saitaan, jo ab bada ho gaya hai. Bada toh ho gaya hai, lekin aaj bhi ek pukaar se meri biwi ka sara attention le leta hai."

***********

Ansh began distributing gifts. He handed a toy car to Aarav, chocolates to Krish, a robot figure to Rayan, and a cute bracelet to Aashnaa. When it was Arvi’s turn, he smirked and walked past her, deliberately ignoring her.

"Ansh!" Arvi called out, her voice laced with irritation. "Mere liye kuch nahi?"

Ansh pretended to think, tapping his chin, "Hmm… nahi. Tum toh already sab kuch le leti ho. Aur waise bhi, tumhe gift se zyada arguments pasand hai, right?"

Arvi’s mouth fell open in mock outrage. "How dare you! Mujhe nahi pata , ab mujhe bhi gift chahiye! "

Ansh chuckled, enjoying her irritation. "Tum toh meri list mein bhi nahi ho, Miss. Attention Seeker."

Arvi’s cheeks puffed up, and she turned her face away, crossing her arms tighter. "Mujhse baat mat karo! Tum duniya ke sabse bura insaan ho, aur mein bagwaan ji wish karungi ki jab tum exam likhne jaoge tumhara pen mein ink khatham hojayega , yehi shraap hai "

Ansh raised an eyebrow at her dramatic reaction, then quietly pulled out a small, fluffy pink teddy bear from behind his back. He placed it right in front of her on the table, his expression softening.

"Yeh raha tumhara gift, Princess Drama Queen," Ansh said pretending annoyed .

Arvi glanced at the teddy out of the corner of her eye but refused to turn toward him. "Mujhe nahi chahiye tumhara stupid teddy," she muttered, though her resolve was clearly faltering.

"Achha? Toh main isse wapas le jaata hoon." He pretended to pick it up, and that was it.

In one swift motion, Arvi grabbed the teddy bear, clutching it tightly to her chest. Her eyes sparkled with joy as she jumped up and down. "Yay! Mera teddy "

Ansh laughed , watching  excitement. "Ab mujhe jaldi se thank you bolo "

Arvi stopped jumping and narrowed her eyes at him. " Nahi mein tumhe thank you nahi bolungi , kyu ki tum itni der tak mujhe pareshaan kar rahe .And  Tum abhi bhi duffer ho!"

"Main duffer? Tum toh Drama Queen ho!" Ansh shot back, still pretending annoyed .

"At least main boring toh nahi hoon," Arvi retorted, sticking out her tongue.

Everyone laughed at their adorable banter, except for Arjun, who was visibly jealous. Pallavi noticed and nudged him. "Kya hua? Kyun muh bana rahe ho?"

"Kuch nahi," Arjun replied tersely, looking away.

Pallavi leaned closer, whispering, "Jealous ho rahe ho?"

"Main kyun jealous hunga?" he defended, but his tone betrayed him.

"Toh phir itna serious kyun ho?" Pallavi teased, her smile widening.

Arjun rolled his eyes, mumbling, "Tum toh bas mazaak udao.

As the event concluded, families began heading home.

The grand day ended with laughter, shared meals, and memories created among loved ones, setting the stage for more adventures ahead.

That Night in the Kids' Room

Pallavi sat on the bed, gently pressing her aching feet with her hands. Exhaustion was evident on her face after a long day. Suddenly, she felt two strong hands replacing hers, tenderly pressing her feet.

“Is it hurting a lot?” Arjun asked softly, his voice filled with concern as he began massaging her legs.

“A little,” Pallavi admitted with a faint smile. “First the dance competition with the kids and then the never-ending errands—my feet didn’t get a break.”

Arjun’s hands moved expertly, soothing the soreness in her muscles.

“By the way,” Pallavi teased with a glimmer in her eyes, “I miss those days when you were obsessed with my feet. Such sweet little moments.”

Arjun chuckled, his lips curling into a mischievous smile. “Who said I was obsessed? I still adore them—just like the old times.”

Without another word, he leaned down and kissed her feet gently before picking up the anklets she had removed earlier. With utmost care, he placed them back on her ankles, his actions brimming with love.

Just then, the door creaked open, and two tiny figures toddled in—Aarav and ArVi, their twin bundles of joy.

“Papa, what are you doing to Mumma’s feet?” Aarav asked curiously as he climbed into Pallavi’s lap.

Arjun grinned. “I’m showing your mom how much I love her.”

ArVi’s eyes lit up. “Then I’ll press Mumma’s feet too because I love her so much!” she declared, moving closer to Pallavi.

Arjun gently stopped her, shaking his head. “No, beta. This is my right. I won’t share it with anyone—not even you.”

The twins laughed, and soon all four of them were snuggled up on the bed. Pallavi rested on one side, Arjun on the other, and Aarav and ArVi between them. The warmth of family surrounded them, and for a moment, the world outside ceased to exist.

As the kids slowly drifted off to sleep, Arjun picked up his phone and texted Pallavi:

You know exactly what I want, dear wifey. It’s been a month since you’ve stayed away from me. I need my comfort hug.”

Pallavi’s cheeks flushed the crimson as she read the message.

“Mumma, why is your face turning red?” ArVi asked, noticing her reaction.

“Papa, why are you laughing?” Aarav added, looking at Arjun’s smirking face.

Arjun simply shook his head, trying to hide his amusement.

Pallavi quickly typed back, “Let them sleep first, Mr. Husband.”

They carefully placed pillows on either side of the twins, ensuring they wouldn’t roll over in their sleep. Once they were certain the kids were comfortable, they tiptoed out of the room.

The moment they stepped out, Pallavi found herself swept off her feet—literally. Arjun lifted her into his arms, his gaze locking with hers. Pallavi instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, her heart racing.

“Arjun!” she whispered, laughing softly, “What are you doing?”

“Claiming my comfort hug,” he murmured, carrying her to their room.

Though their story seemed to pause here, it wasn’t the end—far from it. Life had many surprises in store for them, challenges and joys yet to unfold.

Koi bhi kahani kabhi khatam nahi hoti. It’s just a comma in the story.”
