(52) A complaint letter with love
Hai ..
Hello ..
Happy reading
***********************
Arjun entered Pallavi's cabin with a frown, his irritation evident. He wasn't thrilled about Pallavi's decision to stay at her brother's house until the wedding was over. And now, as Pallavi sat confidently in the CEO chair, the roles reversed for this little challenge, his frustration deepened.
"Yes ma'am, aap ne bulaya?" Arjun said grumpily, his tone laced with playful sarcasm.
(Yes ma'am, did you call for me?)
"Haan Mr. Arjun, main ek letter dictate karungi, note kar lena." Pallavi responded, her voice calm but authoritative.
(Yes, Mr. Arjun, I will dictate a letter, take note.)
" Kis ke liye hai yeh letter? "Arjun raised an eyebrow, barely concealing his annoyance. he asked, as if uninterested.
(Who is this letter for?)
"Mere husband ke liye. Ek complaint... aur thoda pyaar bhi." She said, her eyes twinkling mischievously
(For my husband. A complaint... and a little love too.)
.
Arjun bit his cheek, trying to hide the smile threatening to appear. He gestured for her to start, pretending to type on his MacBook.
Pallavi began dictating, her tone switching to that of a loving but slightly irritated wife.
Letter
Dear husband
"Pehli baat toh yeh ki, aapka challenge main jeet gayi hoon. Haan, aapne kaha tha ke main aapki tarah company nahi sambhaal sakti, lekin maine sabit kiya ke main ek independent woman hoon, jo kisi bhi challenge ka samna kar sakti hai."
(First of all, I've won your challenge. Yes, you said I couldn't handle the company like you, but I've proven that I'm an independent woman who can face any challenge.)
" Lekin, yeh sab tabhi possible hua jab aapne mujhe har kadam par support kiya. Aapka saath aur aapka vishwas mere liye bahut jaruri tha. Aur main yeh letter likhte waqt yeh bhi bata du ke aapke bina yeh sab mushkil hota."
(However, this was only possible because you supported me every step of the way. Your support and belief in me were essential, and I must mention that this would have been difficult without you.)
" Ab jab yeh challenge period khatam ho chuka hai, main chahungi ki aap wapas CEO ki position sambhalo. Aapka cabin , aapka position sirf aapka hai Main wapas apni pehle wali position par aana chahti hoon, aur apne bhai ki shaadi ka aram se enjoy karna chahthi hunn chahti hoon."
(Now that the challenge period is over, I would like you to take back the CEO position. Your place is in the office, and I want to return to my previous role and enjoy my brother's wedding in peace.)
" Mujhe pata hai aap thode gusse mein ho, kyunki mujhe kuch din bhai ke ghar rehna padega. Lekin meri ek chhoti si request hai, thoda compromise kariye aur is dauran apna CEO wala swag phir se dikhayiye."
(I know you're a bit upset because I have to stay at my brother's house for a few days. But I have a small request - please compromise a little and show off your CEO swagger again during this time.)
"Main aapka intezaar karungi, tab tak aap yeh gussa chhod dijiye aur smile kariye . Aap ke e muskurane se meri duniya complete hoti hai."
(I'll be waiting for you, but until then, let go of this anger and smile. Your smile completes my world.)
Pyaar ke saath,
Tumhari Pallavi.
(With love,
Your Pallavi.)"
As she finished dictating, Pallavi looked up from her seat, catching Arjun's expression. He was no longer hiding the smile, the corner of his lips curling up little .
"Mere husband ko yeh letter kaise lagega, Mr. Arjun?" Pallavi teased, leaning back in her chair.
(How do you think my husband will like this letter, Mr. Arjun?)
"Mujhe lagta hai ki tumhara husband is letter ka jawab shayad hug se dega." Arjun leaned forward, his face softening.
(I think your husband might reply to this letter with a hug.)
, "Chaliye ab, CEO ki kursi sambhaliye. Main apna kaam sambhalne ja rahi hoon... apne bhai ki shaadi mein." Pallavi chuckled with shy smile.
(Now, take charge of the CEO's chair. I'm off to handle my work... at my brother's wedding.)
" Challenge jeet toh gayi ho, lekin maidan ab bhi mera hai."
Arjun stood up, while lifting his mood , he don't want to leave pallavi for these many days ..
(You've won the challenge, but the field is still mine.)
Pallavi leaned back in her chair, watching Arjun fumble with his phone, still pretending to be her assistant. She smirked and added more to the letter.
"Aur suno Mr. Arjun, thoda aur likho..."
(And listen, Mr. Arjun, write a bit more...)
"Aur kitna likhna hai, ma'am?" Arjun sighed, giving her a playful look..
(How much more do I have to write, ma'am?)
Pallavi ignored his tone, continuing with the dictation.
**Letter (continued)**
" Arjun aapko yaad hai , jab humari shadhi huyi thi ?? Hum ek dusre ki shakal dekhne bhi pasand nahi karte the , par Abrahm bhayya ne ummeed nahi choda , "
(Arjun, do you remember when we got married? We couldn't even stand the sight of each other, but Abrahm bhaiyya never gave up.)
" Hum dono ko ek karne keliye bahut sare plans banaya tha , ab shayad hamari bhari hai , janvi bhabhi aur Abrahm bhaiyya ko ek karne ka .. "
( He made so many plans to bring the two of us together. Now, maybe it's our turn to do the same for Janvi bhabhi and Abrahm bhaiyya.)
" Toh mein chahthi hunn ki aap iss baar bhi mere saath rahe , aur jo bhi mein karne jari hunn , usmein aapki madad chahiye mujhe "
( So, I want you to stand by my side this time too, and I need your help with what I'm about to do.")
" Haan yeh alag baath hai ki bhaiyya aapko tang karta hai toh mujhe bahut maza aati hai "
( Though, it's a different matter that when bhaiyya irritates you, I enjoy it a lot.)
Arjun's eyes narrowed playfully.
"Bahut maza aaya na? Tumhari yeh khushi abhi dekhta hoon main..." he mumbled under his breath, but Pallavi carried on with her dictation.
(You enjoyed it, didn't you? I'll see how long your happiness lasts...)
Isiliye mein chathi hunn ki aap pehle ki tarah iss position ko sambhale aur mein apna responsibility ko puri kar saku .
( That's why I want you to handle this position like before so that I can fulfill my responsibility.)
Toh aap dengey na mere saath ??
( So, will you stand by me?)
Tumhari Pallavi.
(Your Pallavi.)
Pallavi smiled as she finished dictating. Arjun's playful smirk was now evident, but he maintained his act.
"Aur kuch, ma'am?" Arjun asked, leaning closer, his tone softer now.
(Anything else, ma'am?)
"Nahi, bas itna hi. Tum samajhdar ho. Pyaar se mana lena."
(No, that's it. You're smart. Convince him with love.)
Arjun stood up, shaking his head, his lips finally curving into a full smile.
"Tum bhi na Pallavi... Jeet toh gayi ho, challenge ke saath saath mera dil bhi "
(You, Pallavi... You've won, not only challenge but also my heart )
Pallavi laughed, standing up from her CEO chair,
She hugged him tightly, her warmth melting into his, as if trying to hold the world together between their embrace. Resting her head on his chest, she could hear the steady rhythm of his heart, a silent promise of protection and love. He too wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer, feeling the quiet peace that her touch always brought-a peace that seemed to say, in this moment, nothing else mattered.
In that simple embrace, words faded away, replaced by the language of hearts that had long learned to speak in silence.
************"*****
3 days later .
It's been three days since she left for the Khurana mansion to help Jaya aunty with the wedding preparations. Today, she didn't come to the office either, as she'd taken a week off.
Sitting alone in my room, it hit me, after four months and 28 days, I was truly alone here. Honestly, this loneliness was eating me up inside. I tossed on the bed after finishing dinner. No one really spoke much while we were eating tonight. Everyone missed her presence at home, but I think I missed her a little more than the rest.
I turned over again, and for a second, I saw her small, petite figure next to me, her eyes twinkling as she giggled at me.
I jolted upright, sitting straight.
"Tum wapas aa gayi?" I asked in disbelief, excitement taking over.
("You've come back?")
"Ab aap mujhe itna miss karoge toh mujhe aana hi tha," she replied, sitting beside me and entwining her fingers with mine.
("If you miss me so much, how could I not come?")
"Chal jhooti, aaj tum ek baar bhi call nahi ki thi. Pata hai main tumhe kitna miss kar raha tha?"I tried to act angry, but it didn't work because I knew the truth.
("Liar! You didn't even call once today. Do you know how much I missed you?")
She's busy with her brother's wedding preparations. The pandit fixed the date in just a week, and it's going to be a grand event. So, of course, she's been swamped with work.
"Toh aap bhi mujhe call nahi kiya na! Bahut bure ho aap. Thoda behes kya ho gaya, toh aap mujhe call karna hi chhod diye." She pouted in mock anger.
(You didn't call me either! You're so mean. Just because we had a small argument, you stopped calling me.)
That pout was too adorable to resist. I leaned in to kiss her, aiming for her pout, but suddenly, I fell back on the bed, snapping out of my imagination.
"F*ck, yeh ladki mujhe pagal karke hi chhodega." I muttered to myself.
("F*ck, this girl is going to drive me insane.")
I sighed, staring up at the ceiling. It was just a dream, but it felt so real. I missed her more than I could admit.
*******************
It's been three days since I've been away from him, and I can't even put into words how much I miss him. Yesterday, during a video call, he teased me as usual, and we had one of our classic Tom and Jerry fights. It's become our daily routine. But I pretended to be angry because I knew he would call me back to Shree Mansion if he thought I was upset.
That's why I've been holding onto this fake anger. But now, my mind has crossed all limits , I even imagined him trying to kiss me.
I sat up in frustration, realizing it was all just my imagination. I grabbed my phone and dialed his number.
"Hello," he answered almost immediately, within half a ring.
"Aap soye nahi?" I asked in surprise. It was already 2 a.m.
(You haven't slept yet?)
"Tumhari bina mujhe neend kaise aayegi, wifey?" His reply made me blush hard.
("How can I sleep without you, wifey?")
"Jhoot! Aap toh mujhe koi miss viss nahi kar rahe hain. Agar karte, toh ab tak yaha aa gaye hote." I tried to sound grumpy, my voice laced with mock anger.
(Liar! You don't miss me. If you did, you'd have come here by now.)
"Accha, toh tum chahti ho ki main waha aa jaoon, hai na?" His voice carried that mischievous tone I knew so well.
(Oh, so you *want* me to come over, don't you?)
"Yeh humesha mujhe meri hi baaton mein fasa dete hain! Hey Mahadev, kya soch ke mujhe aise pati ko diya hai?" I thought to myself, shaking my head.
(He always traps me in my own words! Oh, Mahadev, what was the plan behind giving me such a husband?)
"Bolo Pallavi, tum chahti ho ki main waha aa jaoon?" He asked again, a bit more teasing this time.
("Tell me, Pallavi, do you want me to come over?")
"Nahi... matlab haan... main chahti hoon ki aap yaha aayein, par aap aayenge nahi, main jaanti hoon." I fumbled, admitting the truth, but deep down I was confident he wouldn't actually come over at this hour.
(No... I mean, yes... I want you to come here, but I know you won't.)
"Don't challenge me, wifey. Agar main aa gaya na..." His tone turned slightly serious.
(Don't challenge me, wifey. If I come over...)
"Haan, aa gaye toh?" I asked playfully, egging him on.
(Yeah, and if you do?)
"Toh mujhe reward chahiye. Aur kya reward hai, yeh main khud hi bata dunga."He replied with a teasing tone, and I could practically hear his grin.
(Then I'll want a reward. And I'll tell you exactly what that reward will be.)
"Haan, theek hai. Pehle aaye toh sahi," I answered confidently, thinking he was bluffing.
("Fine, let's see you show up first.")
"Ok, toh balcony ka door kholo."His next words left me speechless.
("Okay, then open the balcony door.")
"Kya?" My jaw dropped.
(What?)
"Haan, my love, balcony ka door kholo. Warna main andar kaise aaunga?" He repeated, clearly enjoying my shock.
(Yes, my love, open the balcony door. Otherwise, how will I come inside?)
I jumped off the bed and ran to the balcony door. It was pouring outside, and there he was, standing by the railing, leaning back with that irresistible smile.
Without a second thought, I ran to him and hugged him tightly, like my breath depended on it. He kissed my hair and wrapped me in his arms, pulling me closer, sheltering me from everything.
In that moment, the world outside the rain didn't matter,, it was just us.
"Maine socha nahi ki aap yaha aayenge," I whispered, still in disbelief as Arjun effortlessly lifted me in his arms and carried me inside the room.
(I didn't think you'd actually come.)
"Agar meri biwi mujhe itna miss karegi, toh mujhe aana hi tha," he said with that teasing grin of his.
(If my wife misses me this much, I had to come.)
We were slightly drenched from the rain, so we quickly changed into dry clothes. Once settled on the bed, I could feel his gaze on me, playful and mischievous. I knew what was coming next.
"Woh tumne bola tha na reward ke baare mein?" He teased, leaning in closer.
(You remember what you said about the reward?)
I knew I was trapped now. Reluctantly, I sighed and agreed to whatever nonsense he had in mind, though I had a bad feeling about it.
"Reward toh chahiye hi,"he said smugly, clearly enjoying this.
"Tumhe sabke saamne mujhe kiss karna padega. Woh bhi... lips pe."
( I *need* my reward. You have to kiss me in front of everyone. And yes, on the lips.)
" Kya ? " My jaw dropped in pure shock.I exclaimed, my lips parting in disbelief.
( What?!)
"Haan, wifey. Sabke saamne,"he repeated, thoroughly enjoying my reaction.
(Yes, wifey. In front of everyone.)
I stared at him, speechless. There was no way I was doing that. Public displays of affection were one thing, but a kiss?
" Sabke saamne?! " My mind was racing, but all I could do was shake my head and mutter
"Main kabhi nahi karne wali yeh."
(I'm never going to do this.)
Arjun just laughed and pulled me into his arms, his eyes gleaming with amusement. He knew how to push my buttons.
******************"" ""
The Next Day
As expected, the next morning was pure chaos at the Khurana mansion. Arjun had shown up out of the blue, and now everyone knew he had stayed the night. The teasing began as soon as we entered the living room.
"Arre wah, Arjun saheb Kal raat kaise aa gaye itni baarish mein?" Bhaiyya raising an eyebrow mischievously. ..
("Oh wow, Arjun! How did you manage to come in such heavy rain last night?")
"Lagta hai kisi ka bulawa aaya tha " Jaya aunty chimed in, sending everyone into fits of laughter.
("Looks like someone was called in...")
I blushed furiously, my face turning a deep shade of red. Arjun, of course, took it all in stride, smirking confidently.
"Bulawa hi nahi, order tha aunty . Wifey ka order,"he said, making everyone laugh even louder.
(It wasn't just a call, it was an order. Wifey's order.)
I glared at him, but there was no use , he was enjoying this way too much. I kept my eyes on the ground, trying to hide my smile as the teasing continued. Every time someone mentioned us, I felt the heat rising in my cheeks.
"Pallavi bhabhi , aap toh blush kar rahi ho!" Reeva ( Aman's sister ) teased, and I could only look away, biting my lip to keep from laughing.
("Pallavi bhabhi , you're blushing!")
"Ab samajh aaya sabke saamne kiss karne mein kya maza hai?" Arjun leaned in closer and whispered,
(Now do you understand why I wanted that kiss in front of everyone?)
I elbowed him in the side, trying not to laugh.
"Chup karo!" I hissed, though I couldn't help but smile.
(Shut up!)
This man was going to drive me crazy, but I couldn't deny that the craziness was what made life with him so... fun.
*****************
As soon as Abrahm and Janvi's wedding rituals began, we all got swept up in the celebrations. It was beautiful, chaotic, and filled with love. The haldi ceremony felt more like a Holi festival with all the fun we were having. Pallavi, in her playful spirit, poured haldi water all over me, laughing with that uninhibited joy that always pulled me in.
The next day, during the mehendi ceremony, I decided to try my hand at applying mehendi on her palms. Naturally, Pallavi didn't hold back her teasing, saying,
"Aap toh bilkul horrible artist ho!".
(You're such a horrible artist!)
But I had a trade ready , if she wanted her mehendi, she would have to complete her task: kissing me in front of everyone.
The moment came during the sangeet. We were dancing to "Subhanallah" when she slyly removed the lights around us, making it seem like it was just a dance, but there it was , a soft, quick kiss in front of everyone. My heart swelled with pride, and I knew she would conquered her own shyness for me.
Finally, the big day arrived. Abrahm and Janvi's misunderstandings were cleared, and watching them together filled me with happiness. He was finally going to start a new life with the love of his life, and I couldn't help but feel a twinge of emotion. It made me realize how much I wanted the same with Pallavi.
In a quiet moment, I sat down with Abrahm and told him why I had to confess the truth to Pallavi. He understood and gave me his support to proceed. After the wedding, that very night, we arranged a reception party for them.
I left Pallavi at the party along with Neil , vipul and other bodyguards and rushed back to Shree Mansion to prepare for my big confession. Everything had to be perfect. I decorated the room with scented candles, red heart-shaped balloons, and her favourite flowers. I ignored the slight irritation from the allergy they caused , Pallavi loved flowers, and that's all that mattered.
Everything was in place, candles flickering softly, the scent of flowers filling the air, her favourite chocolate on the table, and the ring... where's the ring? I panicked for a moment before I found it safely tucked in my pocket. I took a deep breath.
"Come on, Arjun Srivastav, you've faced much tougher situations than this. She'll accept you, no doubt. So why the nerves?"
I dialed her number, feeling my heart race.
"Hello? Where are you, Pallu darling? Why are you this late today?" Silence occupied from other side
"Hello? Helloooo? Why are you not saying anything?" I tried again .
Still nothing. My heart dropped, and I felt a sudden rush of cold panic. Stress lines formed on my forehead, my knuckles clenched into fists. My voice lowered dangerously as I spoke, teeth gritted.
"Avyansh Khanna..." .
A cold laugh erupted on the other side.
"Hahaha, you guessed it right, Mr. Arjun Srivastav. And guess what? Your wife, and soon-to-be my mistress, is sleeping so comfortably in front of me."
Rage flooded my veins as I slammed my fist on the table.
"Run away if you can, Avyansh, because you won't die easily. I'll give you a punishment so severe, even your soul will beg for death." I warned him but I know this is his end .
But his voice remained smug and chilling.
"Well, that's impossible, because me and my Pallavi are leaving the country in just a few minutes. And it'll be impossible for you to find our whereabouts. I've won this game, Arjun. You... are the loser."
My mind went blank for a second, the weight of his words crashing over me. Pallavi... with him? The room around me spun as the reality of the situation set in. She was in danger. My Pallavi was in danger, and there wasn't a second to lose.
I stormed out of the room, determination fueling my every step.
