The cruise was glittering with people. The business partners of Manish and their relatives were all on board. Keerti and Karthik were busy receiving the guests. Naksh was busy watching filter copy videos on his phone. Just then Mr and Mrs. Agarwal arrived on board. Mr Agarwal's mother passed away. Keerti was consoling them when Naksh burst out laughing. Keerti turned around and enlarged her eyes. Naksh got the signal and slowly slipped away.

While going to his room, he dashed into someone. It was a girl of medium height and dusky complexion. "I am sorry" she said. 

Naksh: It's okay.

Priya: Hello! I am Priya Gowda.

Naksh: I am Naksh Singhania.

Soon a tall and fair man walked by.

"Hey Naksh!"

Naksh smiled and replied "Hey Vikas!"

Vikas: Looks like you have met my wife.

Naksh: Oh! I didn't recognize you. I am sorry.

Priya: It's totally fine. Nice to meet you, Naksh.

Vikas: Catch you later, man.

They left. Naksh walked away. Both of the families were so happy. He went and sat beside Keerti. She was clearly upset.

Naksh: I realize I'm the reason behind this frown of yours.

Keerti: I choose not to comment on this.

Naksh: I'm sorry.

He held his ears cutely and she melted almost immediately.

Keerti: I wish this trip goes flawlessly.

Naksh: If you promise not to tell anyone, I'll let you in on a secret.

Keerti: Okay.

Naksh: Naira is pregnant.

Keerti immediately beamed.

Keerti whispered: How did you know?

Naksh: She told me just a while ago.

Keerti: Does Karthik know?

Naksh: No.

Keerti: I can understand why she didn't tell him yet. 

Naksh: But I don't.

Keerti: Karthik feels that we were the reason our parents remained married. He doesn't want anyone to go through what we went through. 

Naksh: What do you think he will do?

Keerthi: He isn't heartless. He will definitely love the child more than himself. But we need to tell him when the time is right.

Naksh nodded. 

Keerthi: You should go and talk to your friends. I don't want to bore you. Wait! There is something I have to tell you. Tomorrow, we stop at Tiruvananthapuram. And I have a surprise for you.

Naksh: Surprise?

Keerti: Yes. Wait and Watch. 

Naksh smiled.

Keerti walked away.

She went to get some coffee. She went up and asked "One black coffee with no sugar, only...."

"Honey"

Keerti turned around to see Priya.

Keerti: Priya! It's been so long.

They hugged.

Priya: I never realised I would get married to a Rajasthani.

Keerti: I didn't think so too. I miss our trio so much. I wish Abhi was with us now. Okay, so how did you end up with Vikas? What's the back story?

Priya and Keerti sat down.

Priya: After we graduated, you got married. Abhirami went to UK. I wanted to do something with my life. So I applied for a position at the Indian consulate in New York. I got the job and I left. Living in the US was different. People were broad-minded and I was enjoying what I was doing. 3 years into the job, I was promoted to the manager of my team. It was Diwali. Then came Vikas. He had a problem with his OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India). After that, he came every week and found an excuse to make small talk with me. He started coming almost every day pleading me to come for a cup of coffee.

Keerti: Vikas is like that. He pursues every girl possible. But I always thought that he wouldn't go any further than that.

Priya: So did I. I did go out with him. Then I realized that there was more to him than his playboy image. He was a soft-hearted and a kind person. I liked that. But my marriage got fixed with a family friend. I left for Mangalore. On the day of my engagement, Vikas arrived there tear-faced. He declared his love for me before my parents. They were reluctant but said okay. We got married and left for Jaipur. His family was shocked. Thankfully, his mother was supportive. But I find the rest of his family were not so warm with me. Vikas realised that and so we are moving to the US after this cruise. So, how did you end up with Naksh?

Keerti froze for a while and started talking again.

Keerti: Aditya was someone who I could not spend my life with. During the first 2 years of my marriage, we were very happy. His parent pressurised me to start a family. So we went to the doctor to get checked. There we found out that he was sterile. After that he changed. He became a monster. He blamed me for his inability to have a kid and he abused me.He started having an affair with someone. But I could do nothing about it. During Karthik's wedding, I met with Naksh. He found out about my situation. He exposed Aditya in front of our family. Soon, we became great friends. We realised the respect and friendship between us. Both of us went through heartbreak. Our families suggested the alliance and we happily agreed.

Priya: Thank god, you got someone who respects you for who you are. What is Naksh's story?

Keerti: About 7 years ago, Naksh fell in love with a hockey player called Tara. Their families didn't approve in the beginning but soon they accepted. Naksh always told me that he liked her strong behaviour and attitude. A few days before their wedding, she found that she got selected for the Asian games. She ran away from the wedding. Naksh was heartbroken. After that, there were so many incidents that made him stay away from relationships for a long time.  

Priya: Oh! You guys have gone through a lot. Life is very complicated, isn't it? At one point of time, you feel so happy and  some time later you are shattered.

Keerti: I can definitely understand that. That's been my life for the last 29 years. I always wonder if there is happiness in store for me.
