Narrator: Renamon was teaching Guilmon and Impmon how to make new friends, when Henry and Terriermon showed up to stop the introduction. Seems like Henry, Y/n, and Rika have some pretty different ideas on how Digimon should be treated. When Takato and Y/n took Guilmon out into the real world, Rika taunted them into fighting again, and when Terriermon joined the fun, he Digivolved into Gargomon, but he was totally out of control. Thank goodness Impmon and Guilmon were there to stop him or Rika would have been rabbit food. Aw, man, to Digivolve or not to Digivolve- That is the question.

The boys were in an opened area.

Takato: Who knew Terriermon had it in him? Oh, sorry, Henry. Hey, don't worry about it. After all, Gargomon didn't really hurt anyone. That girl's fine.

Guilmon: Look, Takatomon, I can walk on my hands.

Guilmon walked over to them on his hands, but fell over. Gargomon wasn't far behind standing on his gun hands.

Gargomon: Can I stop now? This is a real pain in the neck.

Henry: Not yet.

Takato: You think this will turn him back to Terriermon?

Henry: It has to. I sure can't take him home as Gargomon, now, can I? He's too big.

Takato: You got a point.

Henry: Can you imagine what my parents would say? They'd freak.

Takato: I know how you feel. Hey, maybe since he Digivolved on his own, he can figure out a way to De-Digivolve. I mean, this must happen to Digimon all the time, especially the Rookies.

Impmon: It hasn't happened to me.

Takato: Maybe that girl would know. Should we ask her?

Impmon: Nah. She still hasn't figured out how to make Renamon Digivolve.

Takato looked at Y/n who was just stroking Impmon's head.

Takato: Hey, Y/n, you've been awfully quiet ever since we got here.

Y/n: I'm worried about her.

Takato: You mean the girl?

Y/n: She looked so... scared.

Takato: I'm sure she'll be fine.

Impmon: You know something I'm not sure of? How you can care so much about someone who's been nothing but horrible to you, Y/n.

Y/n: That's just how I am. There isn't a person I've met who I haven't thought was worthy of being a friend.

Guilmon was back on his hands.

Guilmon: Now I got it.

Guilmon fell back over.

Takato: Nice try. Come on, it's time to go home.

Y/n: We better get going too, Impmon.

Y/n and Impmon gave their signature salute.

Later at night.

Y/n and Impmon were sitting in Y/n's room, enjoying some juice.

Y/n: So Impmon, You've never Digivolved.

Impmon: Well, no. We Digimon ourselves don't even know what exactly activates Digivolution.

Y/n: Well, Digivolve or no Digivolve, you're still a pretty cool Digimon in my book.

Impmon: Thanks, pal. Say, you got any snacks?

Y/n: I'm sure I've got something.

The next morning.

That small Digimon was watching a bunch of kids going to school.

Small Digimon: Humans must be very tameable. Look at them- the bell rings and they come running.

With Takato and his friends.

Kazu: Look, new Modify cards. Here, you can have this lame one. I don't need it.

Kazu gave Takato a card that read "Training Grips."

Takato: What are training grips?

Kazu: Sheesh! Don't you know anything? They make your Rookie big and strong so you can stop out the enemy. It's like resistance training. You probably won't use it, but maybe you can get some sucker to trade for it.

Takato: Yeah, sure. Just what I need- another useless card.

Y/n: No card is useless if you use it right, Takato.

Later.

Takato, Y/n and Impmon met up and walked with Henry and Terriermon.

Takato: Sometimes I think Kazu gives me these cards so he can use them against me later.

Henry: You give him way too much credit.

Takato: Yeah, I got to work on that.

Y/n: So, I've got a bit of allowance in my pocket. Want to go hit the candy store?

Impmon: I definitely do. I want to try a jawbreaker.

Henry: Sure. Sounds fun.

Terriermon's ears perked up and Impmon jumped up on Y/n shoulder.

Henry: What's up?

Terriermon: My ears, for one thing.

Henry: Your ears?

Impmon: I don't know what it is, but I feel something coming over here.

Takato: (points up) What's that?

Henry: I hope it's not what I think it is.

Takato: Me, too. What do you think it is?

They were pointing to a cloud coming right at them.

Takato: Whatever it is, it's coming right at us.

Henry: You know something? You just might be right.

Y/n: Let's get out of here.

They all made a run for it.

Terriermon: Oh, this is some week we're having.

Impmon: Can you just be quiet for a bit?

Takato: Must run faster!

Henry: I could if Terriermon wasn't choking me.

Y/n: That things gaining on us.

Henry: It's a Digital Field!

Y/n: A what?

Henry: It's where wild Digimon come from.

Takato: This just keeps getting better and better. It's still gaining on us! We'll never outrun it!

Henry: Oh, man. This thing is fast.

Y/n: If we can't outrun it, we'll have to find somewhere private confront this Digimon. Takato, while we do that, you take the bridge and get Guilmon.

Takato: Right.

Takato took the bridge while Henry, Y/n, and their respective Digimon continued running from the Digital Field.

Henry: So, you want to confront this thing?

Y/n: We can't run forever. We need to go somewhere secluded to do this.

Terriermon: How about down there?

He pointed to a building under construction which they went into.

Henry: I thought I was the Tamer.

Terriermon: It was just a suggestion.

Impmon: Oh, my- You two have some serious problems!

The Digital Field surrounded the entire building inside and out, then out of the field came a big gorilla Digimon with white fur and a blaster for a right arm.

Henry: (Thinking: Oh, no. It can't be. I never thought I'd see him again.)

Gorilla Digimon: Terriermon...

Takato and Guilmon showed up to see the big Digimon.

Takato: Whoa. He's a big one. Who invited him to the party?

Takato got out his Digivice and pointed it at the gorilla, activating the database.

Takato: Let's see- Gorillamon. He's a Beast Digimon, Champion-level.

Terriermon: Hi, Gorillamon. It's been a long time.

Y/n: Terriermon, you know this guy?

Impmon: Tell him we're friends.

Gorillamon threw a gurder at Terriermon who got out of the way.

Henry: Gorillamon, stop it! Don't you remember me?

Takato: Henry, what are you doing?

Y/n: I think he's trying to reason with it.

Henry: We played the game together.

Gorillamon screamed and started beating on its chest.

Henry: Listen to me. I won't let Terriermon fight you, so just leave him alone. This isn't the game.

Terriermon: (Thinking: He remembers, all right.)

Gorillamon continued to scream.

Y/n: Henry, how exactly do you know this Digimon?

Henry: Now's not the best time for introductions. Go back to the other side, Gorillamon.

Terriermon: I don't think he's listening.

Gorillamon beat on his chest.

Gorillamon: Fight!

Guilmon ran at Gorillamon, but he jumped and hit Guilmon down.

Gorillamon: Not you- (points towards Terriermon) Him.

Guilmon ramped Gorillamon, but was thrown at the wall and landed on his hands.

Guilmon: Hey, look- I did it.

But Guilmon quickly fell over.

Guilmon: Oh, nuts.

The others were running from Gorillamon.

Terriermon: Hey, no fair.

Henry: Terriermon, don't.

Terriermon: Oh, come on. Why does Guilmon get to have all the fun?

Henry: I told you before, I don't want you to fight.

Terriermon: Tell that to Gorillamon.

Takato: Um, he does have a point, you know.

Guilmon was holding on to a pole while Gorillamon was pulling his tail.

Guilmon: I think I've had enough fun now.

Y/n: Okay, Guilmon, tag out. Me and Impmon got this.

Impmon jumped at Gorillamon and ignited a flame on his finger.

Impmon: Bada Boom!

He threw the flame at Gorillamon's face making him drop Guilmon to grab his face in pain.

Terriermon: Don't forget about me, monkey boy.

Gorillamon saw Terriermon coming at him and fired a laser at Terriermon, but it missed and Terriermon slapped Gorillamon.

Henry: Look out!

The blast almost hit the boys, but they ducked down.

Henry: That was close.

Takato: That's one way to put it.

Y/n: Watch where you blast, you dingus!

Terriermon: Pellet Blast!

Terriermon shot a bunch of green beams at Gorillamon's leg and face.

Impmon: Yeah, I don't think any makeup in the world can fix everything we're doing to this guy's face. Though, I say Nature has already done enough damage before we did anything.

Henry: Terriermon, stop it!

Terriermon: Well, what do you expect me to do, sit back and let him peel Guilmon like a banana?

Gorillamon looked at three Rookies with absolute rage in his eyes.

Guilmon: Oh, he's mad.

Impmon: You think?!

Gorillamon tried to punch them, but they dodged they made him hit the wall instead.

Takato: They need our help. We got to do something.

Henry: I can't.

Y/n: Why not.

Henry: Fine. I'll tell you.

Flashback.

It was last Christmas and Henry was holding a video game.

Henry: Wow, it's the new Digimon game!

Henry's dad: Yep, hot off the press. I had to wait in line for hours to get it.

Henry: Thank you, Dad. You're the best.

Later that night.

Henry had just got his game set up.

Henry: Wow, the installation took forever. No wonder. Look at all these new options. All right. Now, who will I play first? One that's got a lot of power like Gorillamon? Nah, that's boring. Anyone can win with a big Digimon.

His screen showed a Digi-egg that hatched into Terriermon.

Henry: Now, Terriermon- That's a challenge. He's small and smart, like me.

Terriermon did a little dance.

Henry: He dances like me, too.

Henry laughed at that.

Back to present.

Terriermon: Hey!

Terriermon dodged Gorillamon trying to hit him with another girder.

Guilmon: Whatever he said, he didn't mean it.

Gorillamon tried to hit Guilmon, but Guilmon easily knocked the girder out of his hands.

Impmon: My turn. Bada Boom!

Impmon hit Gorillamon with a slightly bigger flame this time.

Takato: Way to go, Guilmon!

Y/n: You take it to 'em, Impmon!

Terriermon/Guilmon: Run away!

Gorillamon chased after Guilmon.

Y/n: Now, back to your story.

Back to flashback.

Henry: Shut down. Shut down!

He tried to turn off the game, but it was still going.

Henry: I closed the game. Why is it still running? Is the program frozen? Wait. Maybe... Digimon have a reality outside the game. But that just isn't possible... Is it? This is really weird.

Back to present.

Henry: He must've crossed over from the other side.

The fight against Gorillamon continued and it looked like the three Rookies were being pushed against the wall.

Henry: I brought him here. It's all my fault!

Back to flashback.

Henry's game showed Gorillamon destroying a couple Digimon and downloading their data.

Henry: He's absorbing their data. Gorillamon, stop it!

Gorillamon aimed a blast at Terriermon who was running.

Henry: Terriermon, look out!

The blast sent Terriermon flying as Gorillamon kept blasting at random.

Henry: It's totally out of control. How's Terriermon supposed to beat him? He's too small.

Back to present.

Guilmon and Terriermon were basically just getting thrown around at this point.

Y/n: All right, Impmon. I'm gonna try something. Hopefully, it'll give us a shot.

Y/n drew a card and scanned it with his Digivice.

Y/n: Digimodify! Doppelganger, activate!

Four more Impmon's appeared and ran around Gorillamon with the original.

Back to flashback.

Henry: What should I do? Modify cards.

Henry got out a card.

Henry: Terriermon, it's time to make you faster. Speed, activate!

He scanned the card with his game player.

Henry: Digimodify! And I better give you some more strength. You're going to need it. Power, activate! Digimodify!

The game showed Terriermon's speed and power states go up. Terriermon rushed Gorillamon and landed a headbutt to his face, sending Gorillamon back.

Henry: Way to use your head, Terriermon! He's down for the count.

Henry got out another card.

Henry: All right. Now it's time to sharpen up that aim of yours. Targeting, activate! Digimodify!

Terriermon: Pellet Blast!

Terriermon aimed his blast straight at Gorillamon's chest.

Henry: We're almost there. All you need is a little more energy to finish him off. Stamina, activate! Digimodify!

The last one allowed Terriermon to Digivolve.

Henry: He Digivolved! Did I do that?

Gargomon began to rabidly shoot Gorillamon, causing the latter to ran away.

Henry: That's it! Yeah!

Gargomon chased after Gorillamon.

Henry: Gargomon, what are you doing? You've already beaten him. Just let him go! You're just like all the rest of them. I have no idea who you even are anymore! What have I done? It's all my fault.

Back to present.

Gorillamon dealt with all the Impmon copies and threw the real one in the air.

Y/n: Impmon!

Guilmon caught Impmon before he hit the ground.

Guilmon: You okay?

Gorillamon pointed his blaster at them.

Gorillamon: Playtime's over.

Takato ran down with a pipe.

Takato: I'll distract him for you. Hey!

Gorillamon shot the pipe and destroyed it, which gave Guilmon an opening to tackle Gorillamon.

Takato: All right, that's enough. This has gone too far. Time to do what I should have done in the beginning. Power, activate! Digimodify!

Takato scanned a Digi card with his Digivice.

Guilmon: Pyro-

Gorillamon threw a bag of sand in Guilmon's mouth before he could finish his attack.

Takato: Oh, no, it didn't work. He's too strong. And Terriermon's just too small to do any real damage, but if he Digivolved, then-

Henry: I won't let him!

Takato: Henry, why not?

Back to flashback.

Henry was at his computer looking at a very hurt Terriermon.

Henry: Digimon don't exist. It's only a game. And it doesn't matter if they get hurt because they're not real. But look at him. It does matter.

Henry began to cry.

Henry: Terriermon, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it.

Henry dropped the cards he was holding and one became the same blue card that Takato and Y/n had.

Henry: Hey, what's this blue card? Terriermon, hang on. Digimodify!

Henry scanned the card with his game player, turning it into a green Digivice that Henry picked up.

Henry: A Digivice? But how?

A small portal opened in front of Henry and Terriermon came out it and landed in Henry's arms still hurt.

Henry: You're real. But look what I've done to you. And those other Digimon in the game- I hurt them, too.

Tears landed on Terriermon's head.

Terriermon: Excuse me. Do you mind? That stuff's kind of cold.

Henry: Terriermon, I'm so sorry.

Terriermon: What for?

Henry: I'll never make you fight again.

Terriermon: Hey, don't cry. I'm fine, see? Momentie.

Back to present.

Henry: (Thinking: I won't break my promise. What if I lose him?)

Takato: Henry, wake up.

Henry came back to his senses and saw their Digimon getting beaten again by Gorillamon.

Takato: We can't waste any more time. Terriermon has got to Digivolve to Gargomon!

Henry: There's got to be another way.

Y/n: If we could just restrain him. I'd use my chains, but I left it in my side deck by accident.

Takato: These are the only modify cards I have left, and they're totally lame!

Y/n: Remember what I told you, Takato. All we have to do is find out how to use the cards we have.

Henry: Y/n, you're a genius!

Henry took Takato's Training Grips card.

Takato: But it's just a training card. What will that do?

Henry: Just watch and learn! Terriermon, time for a little resistance!

Henry got out his Digivice and began to scan the card.

Henry: Digimodify! Training Grips, activate!

Metal binds form around Terriermon's ears.

Takato: Okay, that's interesting. Now what?

Terriermon threw the binds at Gorillamon.

Takato: Will someone please tell me what's going on?

The binds wrapped around Gorillamon, restraining him.

Gorillamon: No!

Takato: Now I get it. With the training grips on his arms, he's too tangled up to fight.

Guilmon hit Gorillamon in the head, knocking him over.

Impmon: Let's work together for this one, Terriermon.

Terriermon: Right. Terrier Tornado!

Terriermon spun fast and it created a mini tornado that headed for Gorillamon.

Impmon: Bada Boom!

Impmon threw a flame at the tornado, making it engulfe in huge flames that hit Gorillamon, killing him instantly.

Henry: Terriermon, I don't want you to absorb his data.

Y/n: Same for you, Impmon.

Terriermon: Can I at least do a little victory dance?

Impmon: How about a victory high five instead?

The two small Digimon high-fived.

Takato: So, what happened to Gorillamon's data? It just disappeared?

Henry: I'm not sure, but, hopefully, he went back to the other side.

Later.

They were all on the bridge watching the sunset.

Takato: That was amazing. You and Terriermon really make a great combination, you know that? Along with Y/n and Impmon.

Henry: Yeah. Thanks, Takato.

Terriermon: Why are you thanking him? He didn't do anything.

Y/n: So, you guys still up for candy.

Takato: Definitely.

Terriermon: Hey, Henry. Momentie!

Guilmon: Takatomon, what's this candy Y/nmon keeps talking about?

Takato: Guilmon, for the last time. We're not mons.

Y/n: Just let him be, Takato.
