One week has passed since the Indramon incident. Some parts of the town was still being repaired, but thankfully no one was killed. Only a few people were in the hospital taking minor damage from the attack. After the attack Blaine had returned to doing school work. Surprisingly him and Takato took first place in their best friend speeches. And Blaine was happy to say, that Takato have become better friends because of it.

Tiffany had taken her one week punishment, and Blaine and her started to look for Impmon together. But sadly the two of them had no luck finding the little trouble maker. Sadly this only made Tiffany more upset. Even though she didn't show it to everyone. Blaine could always feel, this nagging feeling in this stomach when he stands next to her. That she blames herself for Impmon disappearance.

Blaine currently found himself in his living room. He was currently reading through his notes from school. A frown on his face. He was wondering how was going to retain all of this information for the test on Friday

"Gosh their is so much to remember for Biology." He whispered out loud. Gatomon stared up at him. The feline digimon was busily sleeping. But when Blaine spoke out loud. She awoke with a small frown.

"Whatcha worrying about?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. Blaine held a hand on top of his forehead. "I haven't really been studying for my biology test. And I feel like I might flat out fail." He grumbled.

Gatomon patted him on the head. "Oh silly Blaine." She said with a soft smile. "You are over working yourself if you think your biology test is this week." Blaine blinked at this news. "Wait...what day is it?" He asked out loud.

"It's October 25th" She announced. Blaine let out a huge sigh of relief. The green haired boy rubbed his face and shook his head. "I can't believe I was starting to think. That the test was this week." He murmured to himself.

"Well you and your friends have been all work and no play. You should take time to relax." She suggested. Gatomon sat next to him. She snapped her fingers. "Why don't we try to set up a time, wherever can meet at the park?" She raised an eyebrow. "Then we can all have a picnic."

Blaine grinned at his feline partner. "I think you deserve some more catnip." He chuckled as he patted Gatomon on top of her head. "Let me see if Julia is up for it." He said as he picked her up. And headed over to Julia's room. As he walked over, he frowned because he heard no noise coming from her room. Which was kind of odd for her. She would tend to have the television on, or she would be talking rather loudly with friends that she brought over.

"Julia?" he asked out loud. No answer was given. Blaine stuck his head in his sister room. But Julia and Pansamon were nowhere to be seen. "Hmm..." Blaine hummed to himself. He didn't remember Julia telling him, that she was going out somewhere. Blaine walked over to her nightstand to see a piece of paper, that was folded over nicely. Blaine was written out in purple cursive on the top of the fold.

Blaine picked up the note and frowned. "Why did she write me a note, instead of telling me?" He asked out loud. Dear Blaine, Tiffany and I decided to go out. And hang out. Don't worry, I will contact you if something comes up. Sorry, that I didn't let you know personally. But I was really excited to hang out with Tiffany again. You have been hogging her, so it's my turn. From your favorite sister in the world. Julia. P.S. your one and only sister. And don't you forget that. '

Blaine laughed at the note. Which caught Gatomon off guard. The feline digimon was getting ready for Blaine to get upset by this. "Your not mad?" She asked. Blaine shook his head, as he raised his eyebrow. "Why should I?" He shrugged his shoulders as he placed the note back on her nightstand. "I will always hang out with Tiffany another day. I should try to see if I can find someone else to hang out with. Who knows maybe Takato and I can hang out." He pointed out.

(Elsewhere)

Jeri was smiling brightly as she walked along the sidewalk to the Matsuki bakery. She was thinking of some good pastries she could buy for herself and her friends. I wonder what everyone would like. Well... I don't think it would really matter. But I should make sure, I don't get anything that contains peanuts. Just in case anyone has peanuts allergies.

Jeri walked into the bakery, with pushing the door open. A soft bell chimed, from the door opening. And Mr. Matsuki walked out from the back, with a smile when he noticed her. "Well, hello there Jeri!" He said with a wave.

Jeri grabbed a tray from the counter, with a metal tong  and started to pick out some pastry's from the display up front. "Morning Mr. Matsuki. Cream puffs sure look good today. Then again, they always look good." She said as she was humming to herself.

Once she picked out everything she wanted. She headed straight towards to the counter to hand them to Mr. Mastuki. He smiled as he look over the food that she picked out. "All set? " He asked as he was tapping away codes in his register.

Jeri looks around the store, a small frown was forming on her face. She blushed softly as she looks up at Mr. Mastuki. "Is...Takato here?" She asked softly as she placed a bawled hand over her heart.

Mr. Matsuki shook his head, as he kept his smile on his face. "No, he's out right now."

Jeri face fell for a second, before she shook her head and regained her smile. "Well that's alright. I guess I will see him later. How much do I owe you?" She said as she reached into her bag. She pays for her stuff and Mr. Matsuki puts her food into a plastic baggy. With that Jeri walks out of the bakery, and sighs softly. From inside the store, she could hear Mr. Matsuki yell after her. "Thanks, I'll tell Takato you dropped by!"

"Hey Jeri! Were you looking for Takato?~ " A voice called out from her left. Jeri quickly looks over to the sound of the voice. To see Kazu and Kenta running over to her.

Jeri nodded at Kazu. "Uh-huh."

"What a coincidence, so are we." Kenta pointed out.

" Come on, join our posse and we'll track him down!" Kenta and Kazu ran over towards her and grab her by either arm. They started to drag her the opposite way she was going to go.
"Kazu! Wait a minute, where are we going? You're squishing my cream puffs!"

(Hypnos Building)

"Every day, people in the city go about their business, blissfully unaware of the danger that is to come. We are their silent guardians, their only protection against the digital menace. But the key to controlling the digimon lies in the code you're working on, Mr. Wong. And every second you and your team waste brings us an hour closer to chaos." Yamaki growls as he walks over to him with hands in his pockets. A scowl on his face.

Around them, Mr. Wong assistants were quickly writing out code. They were all working out, but kept running into error codes. Protection that would not allow them to move forward into their termination file.

Janyu narrowed his eyes at Yamaki. He just couldn't understand, why he couldn't understand simple logic. It wasn't like him and his old colleges. Could just throw a simple switch, and the digimon would go away. Looking through the old files, Janyu was amazed on how far the digimon evolved on their own. To become intelligent life. "It's not as simple as copying something from the side of a cereal box. Shibumi's code - it's encrypted and highly complex."

Yamaki removes his sunglasses, to show his eyes were narrowed. "Tell that to your children when their world is destroyed, because that's what these monsters will do if we don't stop them soon. This isn't a game, like it was in your college days, Mr. Wong. If you care for your children, you'll get me that code at once."

Yamaki walks away with his hands in his pockets. Janyu turns back to his computer with a heavy sigh. He had to do this. If not for himself, for his children.

(Elsewhere)

Blaine was walking down the sidewalk staring around at passing cars. "I would've thought that Tiffany and Julia would be at the mall." He grumbled. He pulled out his phone to check his messages as he said this. "Don't go stereotyping Blaine. Not every girl in the world goes nuts, at the word of the all mighty mall." Gatomon chuckled.

Blaine could only laugh along with his friend. "I guess your right. I shouldn't be worried about them at all to be honest." He turned off his phone when he noticed no messages were displayed. He shrugs. "If they run into a problem, I know for a hundred percent. That at least one of them would try to reach me." He pointed out.

Gatomon playfully sniffed. "Oh Blaine, your making me all teary eyed." She cried as she rubbed her eyes with the back of her paw. Blaine blinked. "How come?" He asked as he tilted his head, clear puzzlement on his face. "I thought I would never see the day, that you grew up. You are really starting to mature."

Blaine narrowed his eyes. "Oh come Gatomon, I was mature before. You have to admit that." He cried back. But honestly, he knew Gatomon was slightly right. He always felt like everything needed to be his problem. He stuck his nose into everything. And he truly got mad when things didn't go his way.

Gatomon hummed to herself as tapped a claw on her cheek. "Well I have to admit, you were slightly mature back then. But you are showing more signs now. But maybe you should try brushing your teeth some more. Maybe that's why Tiffany doesn't want to go out with you garlic breath."

Blaine eyes grew wide at this news. He blew into his hands and sniffed. Gatomon only started to laugh hysterically as he did this. "Gotcha!" She teased. Blaine only smiled at this, as he playfully put his hands on his hips. "You know I got a tuna can for you dinner. And if you don't stop bullying me. I might as well give it to Guilmon."

Gatomon gasped. "You wouldn't dare!" She gasped. "Would I?" He laughed.

(Park)

Jeri continued to frown as she was being dragged against her will to the park. She didn't understand why Kazu and Kenta had to drag her into a situation. But hopefully, they might help her find Takato. She blushed at this thought. Would he be happy to see me?

Jeri had enough of the pulling. So she looked down at the ground, before she started to grumble aloud. "Would you guys quit pulling me? I'm not a stuffed toy, I can walk on my own, you know!"

Kazu along with the help with Kenta pulled Jeri into a bush near Guilmon's house in the park. "Yeah, but you're 'pokey. Come on, we wanna get there before Christmas!"

Jeri sighed in relief as she was finally let go. She held the bag of bread from earlier close to her chest, as she spoke aloud. "Why are we in the bushes?"

Kazu placed his index finger over his lips. Before he shushed her. "Shh!"

Kenta tried to look around Kazu. But the boy only frowned. As Kazu kept on getting into his line of sight. "I can't see - is he there?" He asked a little too loudly. Kenta whirled around to shush him too.

Once doing that, he turns his head back around to the direction of Guilmon's little hideout. He nodded and whispered. "Oh yeah."

Kenta raised an eyebrow at this news. "Really?"

"Ohh!" Jeri blinked as she tried to look around for Takato and his friends. She wondered if Tiffany was there too. Suddenly Jeri frowned at this thought. What made Tiffany more special than her anyways?  Why did she always get to hang out with him? Why do I always have to be pushed away- Jeri shook her head. She couldn't think like that. It just wasn't right to be jealous over a friend. Plus Tiffany promised her, that she wouldn't try anything.

Kenta frowned. "Are they all there? What are they doing? Do they have a secret handshake?" He asked quickly. Wanting to know every little detail. Down to the colored socks they were all wearing.

Kazu rolled his eyes, as Kenta only kept on asking more and more questions. "Stuff a sock in it, would ya? Amateurs..."

(Inside Guilmon's house)

Inside the small little building. Takato and his friends were all talking quietly amonst themselves. Takato stood next to Guilmon staring between Rika and Henry. While Tiffany and Julia were both standing over to the side listening into the conversation. Tapirmon had his head tilted to the side as he was sitting on Tiffany's left shoulder, and Julia was smiling as she held Pansamon close to her chest. Finally Haru was sitting down on the ground, carefully sketching something in her book as Epipamon watched her with a soft smile.

"So that's my theory. What do you think?" Henry asked as he look around at everyone in the room.

Rika frowned as she placed a hand on her chin. "Hmm..."

Henry: nodded. "Mmm-hmm."

Tiffany frowned a little before she nodded as well. "I think I might understand what's going on. But what I still don't understand is why."

Julia nodded to agree with her.

Takato scratch the side of his head. "Mmm... I still don't get it."

Rika shook her head as she crossed her arms over her face. How could this kid, not understand something so simple. Even blondie understood it. "It's elementary, goggle-head - the Sovereign digimon's behind all this."

Henry nodded as he narrowed his eyes. "I think he's responsible for the Devas appearing."

Julia brushed her hand through Pansamon fur on top of his head. "But how do we convince the soverign to stop sending the Devas. What's the point, I know they don't like humans...but what's the reason behind them coming to Earth. It's not like were invading the digital world." She exclaimed.

Pansamon stared up at her. "You make a good point. But the soverign might not like us digimon partnering with humans." He suggested.

Takato blinked. Still not understand everything yet. "So the Sovereign's a digimon? " He asked puzzled.

Henry slowly looks over at him to answer him. "Yeah, but not a regular one."

Guilmon looks over at Takato, before he placed a claw on his cheek. "Am I regular one?"

Terriermon chuckled to himself before he look up with a grin." You're a regualr goofball! "

Renamon looks around at everyone in the room. "Well then who is he?"

Haru looks up from her sketch book. She was wondering the same thing. But her thoughts were mostly on her friend Jin. He had ran away from home supposedly. It wasn't the first time though. So his father was slightly used to it. But Haru always had a nagging feeling...that it was slightly her fault. She should've seen the signs, and helped him feel better. She continued to draw as everyone else thought over the question. She could hear both Rika and Henry hum to themselves,

Tapirmon frowned as he look around the room. "But we best be prepared for the next deva attack. I am pretty sure they will keep sending them our way. And I would imagine they will be stronger than Indramon."

Tiffany frowned at this statement. "You don't have to remind me about horse face. And I don't want to think about stronger Devas." She whined.

Everyone grew silent once again. As everyone went into their own thoughts. Not knowing what to say. But each thinking of the danger that was up ahead. Terriermon broke the silence as he twirled his tiny little fingers around each other. "Maybe a sandwich will help us think." He suggested.

Kazu frowned as he stared between Takato and his friends. He was a little ticked off nothing exciting was going on. Come on, less talk, more action!

Kenta narrowed his eyes as he listened into the conversation as well. Fight, fight, fight!

Jeri blinked as she moved closer. It's nice they're getting along...

Kazu looks over his shoulder as he look at Kenta and Jeri. He held up his thumb to motion over to the tamers. "Man, check it out, they look totally intense!"

Kenta nodded to agree with him. "That's so cool!" He agreed.

Jeri frowned as she stared between the two of them. "What is?"

Kenta could only frown as he spoke. Jeri could tell, that he look like he was being left out. "Being one of them, talking about real digimon, kicking Deva butt."

Kazu nodded as he slowly look down at the ground. "I'd do anything to be a tamer." He said aloud. A frown playing on his lips.

Kenta stares over at Jeri. He was raising an eyebrow. "Wouldn't you, Jeri?"

Jeri blinked as she quickly shook her head. "Not really...things like that don't usually happen to me." She whispered sadly. Usually things never go my way...I am always left...behind.

Kazu grinned as he placed a hand on his chest. As he proudly said. "Well, I could totally be a tamer, and I'd have the most awesome partner. Just like Omnimon!" He snapped his fingers as he thought about it.

Kenta nodded to agree with him. "Yeah, well my partner would be Imperialdramon!" He boasted. He then look over at Jeri. Wondering if she had the choice. What digimon would she want. "What about you, Jeri?" He asked with a huge grin.

Jeri looks down at the ground. "Me? I-I told you, I'm not into digimon, I don't even collect the cards..." As she said this. Karma seem to get to her, as digimon cards came falling out of her purse by the hundreds.

Kenta and Kazu's eyes grew wide as they stared at the pile of cards next to her. Having a Deja vu moment. Because something similar happen to Takato. When he was talking to Tiffany about digimon.  Jeri could only blush as she stared down at all of her cards. She couldn't believe she was caught in a lie.

Kenta raised an eyebrow before he spoked slowly. "So, is there something you wanna tell us, Jeri?" He asked with an amused smirk.

Jeri frowned as she slowly started to pick up her cards. Not answering his question. She whimpered slightly. She didn't like lying. But she also didn't like the idea of people knowing what she was hiding.

Kazu closed his eyes before he shook his head. "You are one strange banana, you know that? Ah!" When Kazu open his eyes, he noticed that Takato and his friends were all gone. He gasped at this realization and quickly looked around for them.

Kenta looks over at Guilmon's little hideout. "Hm?" His eyes grew wide when noticed the same thing as Kazu. "Ah!"

Kazu quickly got up to his feet. "Oh, terrific!" He grumbled as she kicked some grass up.

Kenta frowned as he look around the park. "Wait, where'd they go? How'd they disappear? Some kind of digital warp trick?" He suggested.

Kazu shook his head as he stared to run over to the hideout. "Get a grip, dude! They probably left when we were yakkin' in the bushes!" Kenta and Jeri quickly followed after him.

Kazu stared around inside the hideout. Looking for any clues, before he suggested. "Must be on a mission."

Kenta nodded as he bawled his fist. A look of excitement on his face. "I bet another bad digimon showed up, with fangs and horns and stuff, and they're tracking it down."

Kazu nodded. "Maybe it's a Deva!"

"We gotta be there! Come on!" Kazu and Kenta run off leaving Jeri by herself. The brown-haired girl frowned as she watched after them.

"Oh man, I hope they don't start without us!" Kazu shouted.

Jeri stares down at the ground. "I guess I'll just go home..." She whispered. She walked down the stairs away from the hideout. A frown plastered on her lips. She stopped walking when she heard some rustling from the bushes. And Calumon hop out into the clearing.

"Calumon?" Jeri whispered as she stared down at the in-traning level digimon. The small digimon smiled up at her. As she sniffed the air. "Mmm, something smells yummy good!"

Jeri giggled to herself as she pulled a crème puff out of the bag. "Want one?" She asked as she handed it over to Calumon. Calumon stared to jump up and down excitedly. She had a huge grin plastered on her face as she sang to her self. "Bun, bun, bun in tum, yummy yummy bun bun!"

"Huh" Jeri blinked as she heard a male voice behind her. She turned on her the heels of her shoes. To see a familiar green haired boy. She remembered his name being Blaine. And that he was Julia's oldest brother. But they've never really talked to one another before.

Blaine look over at her. "Oh you must be Jeri." He waved at her. And walked on over. Calumon during this time. Took her crème puff and started to eat it with a happy grin. "Quick question. Have you seen my sister and Tiffany around here?" he asked. Jeri nodded. "Yeah they were here earlier. But they left recently. I don't know what's going on. Kazu and Kenta thought a digimon might be attacking." She exclaimed.

Blaine blinked and pulled out his D-power. The device wasn't beeping to signal a digimon was attacking. So he realized they must have gone somewhere to hang out. This eased his nerves a little. They must be searching for Impmon again or something.

Jeri slowly looks away from Blaine. Not knowing what to say. She was wondering when he was going to walk away. "Ah...So I see you and Calumon are about to enjoy some snacks." He holds up a basket. "I was trying to find Julia. But I wouldn't mind sharing my picnic with you and Calumon." He suggested. Gatomon nodded, the feline digimon who was currently sitting on his shoulder, put a paw on her chest. "And me of course."

Jeri was surprised by this offer. A small blushed appeared on her checks. "Ah...sure. I don't see why not. Do you want to have a picnic Calumon?" She asked the small in training digimon. Calumon nodded quickly. "More snacks please."

Blaine and Jeri set up a large blue blanket in a field of grass. And sat down next to the digimon. The two of them started to pass out some food on the blanket. Calumon was once again happily eating another crème puff. While Gatomon was enjoying a can of tuna.

"So...Jeri." Blaine started to say. Jeri looks over at the green-haired boy. "What are you doing by all yourself." Jeri shrugs. A blush tinted on her cheeks. "Oh...everyone seemed to be busy today. I began to think when Kazu and Kenta brought me to the park. That I would be able to hang out with Takato today. But that all burst when I accidently dropped all my cards from the digimon card game."

Jeri blinked when she told him this information. Why did I tell him that?  What is he going to think of me? Blaine stared at her for a moment. He felt like something was off with her. But he couldn't put a finger on it. But he knew...she was depressed about something.

"Jeri...is there something wrong?" He asked. Jeri stared at him for a moment and shook her head. "No...nothing is wrong." She lied. She didn't want people to think that she couldn't move past the little things. Her father told her once before. That she had to grow up...and leave the past behind.

"Jeri...you can tell me." He placed a hand on her shoulder. Which caught her off guard. She blinked at this gesture. "It's just you and me. Whatever you are feeling. You should tell someone about it. You shouldn't keep things bottled inside." He informed her.

Gatomon nodded. "It will just make you crazy." She began to smile. "Just like Blaine." Blaine grimaced at this. "Don't make me take that can of tuna from you." He warned. Gatomon held her can of tuna away from him. "You will have to go through my dead body."

Jeri stared between the two of them with a sad smile. Tears slowly started to form in the corner of her eyes. Blaine caught this, and frowned. "Jeri..." Jeri whipped the tears away from her eyes and nodded. "Yeah?"

"Do you feel left out?" He asked. Jeri eyes grew wide at this. Her heart skipped a beat. As he said something she always feared. To be alone...to be not wanted. "I have a feeling that you want to have a digimon partner like Takato and everyone else. Am I right?" He asked. Jeri didn't answer him. But she slowly nodded to confirm his thoughts.

Blaine only smiled at this. "Well...you don't have to be alone." He informed her. Jeri stared over at him. "What do you mean?" She asked with a puzzled look. "Well just think about Tiffany. She started off like you. She didn't think she would get a digimon partner. But look at her now." He exclaimed. He kept his grip on her shoulder, but it was soft and reassuring. "I am sure Jeri. That you will be a tamer one day too. I just have a feeling."

Jeri blushed at this. She began to smile. "Thank you, Blaine."

"Don't mention it. If you ever feel like something is bothering you. You can bring it up to me. You always need someone you can talk too. And I am a good listener." He began to smile. "

Jeri smiled as well. As she looks away from him. And towards the digimon. She could see that Calumon was happily enjoying the crème puff. "I guess I'll have one too." She smiled as she pulled a crème puff out of her bag.

Away in some bushes. The strange kid who has been following the tamers around. Stared between them. A scowl was plastered on his face.

Jeri was about to bring her crème puff to her mouth. But she stopped herself as she look over at Blaine. A faint blush return to her cheeks. It was kind of rude to her. That she didn't offer any food to him. "Um...Blaine. Would you like a crème puff?" She asked.

Blaine blinked at this. "Um...sure. I think I would like one." He held out his hand. And Jeri handed it to him. "Thank you." Jeri nodded and smiled at him. Blaine started to eat the pastry. While Jeri pulled out another crème puff from the bag.

"More yummy goodie snacky stuff?" Calumon asked as she held up her tiny little paws to Jeri. The brown haired girl smiled at the tiny little digimon. "You want more?" Calumon nodded. "Yes please, thank you!"

Jeri handed her the bag, And Calumon started to sing for joy as she hopped from foot to foot. "Another treat for me!" She laughs. Jeri looks over at Blaine and giggled. She holds up a napkin. "You got some crème on your cheek." She announced. Without telling Blaine where, or giving time to wipe it off himself. Jeri started to whip the crème off his face for him.

Blaine quickly felt his face burn as she did this. Once that was done. Jeri smiled brightly. "All better." Blaine nodded. "Uh...thanks Jeri." She shook her head as she waved his comment away. "Don't mention it."

Blaine held up a plate of egg salad sandwiches. And handed Jeri one. She took it with a smile. And Blaine got himself one. "This is very nice." Jeri whispered as she took a bite of her sandwich.

Blaine nodded, he still felt his cheeks burning. Did that mean he had feelings for Jeri? Maybe he could ask her out sometime. I have to admit...I do like hanging out with her.

Jeri takes another bite out of her sandwich. And stared between Gatomon and Blaine. They both have a great relationship. I whished I had a digimon partner. Jeri looks down at Calumon who was happily eating away from the contents of the bag she had earlier. A smile slowly formed on Jeri's face as an idea appeared in her head. "Hmm...I wonder... Could I ever be a tamer? Could Calumon be my partner?"

Blaine was talking to Gatomon as she was whispering this aloud. He wasn't paying attention to what she was doing.

Could...I have a friend who would look after me. Like Takato and the others?

"Calumon?"

Calumon smiles as she ate another pastry. "Good food!" She exclaimed.

"You like me?"

"I like your food!"

"I like you too! Then it's settled!" Jeri took a step forward as she bawled her fist. Blaine and Gatomon look up when Jeri says this bravely. With a confident look on her face. "Calumon, you and I are going to be partners!"

Blaine and Gatomon eyes both grew wide at the same time. The two of them were shocked to hear Jeri say this.

Calumon titled her head to the side. Not completely understanding what is going on. "A-wha?"

Jeri nods as she brings her fists close to her chest. Still with a confident smile on her face. "Say hello to your new digimon tamer!" She announces for practically the whole world to hear. Calumon falls over backwards at this news.

Calumon wasn't the only one shocked by this news. Blaine was so speechless that he couldn't move or speak. He could only continue staring forward in front of him. While Gatomon paw open so ever so slightly that her can of tuna spilled over and landed on the ground. Spilling the fish all over the grass. But she did not move, or cry over the spill contents.

Jeri blinked as she put her hands on her hips. "Well, is that the way you behave to your new tamer? You don't think I'm cool enough like Takato."

Calumon quickly shook her head. "It's not that!" She quickly said. Jeri raised an eyebrow. "Then what is it, you said you liked me, didn't you?" Calumon frowned when she said this. She started to twirl her fingers around. Not knowing what to say. "Oh gee, oh, um...no!"

Jeri shook her head. There is a lot I need to teach her. If we are going to be as good as Takato and the others. "Now I know I may not look like one, but I could be agreat tamer and help you with a lot!" She pointed out.

Blaine at this moment, took a step forward and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Jeri" The brown-haired girl look over at Blaine. A comforting smile was on his face. "That isn't how it works. You see, when you are destined to be with a digimon. Two things that I know happen. Either you receive a blue card, or a digivices appears in front of you. I don't think Calumon is meant to be your partner."

Jeri frowns at this news. "But..." Blaine patted her on the shoulder. "Don't you worry." He grinned confidently. "I know I see potential in you Jeri. You will be a great tamer one day. I am sure that you will meet your digimon partner any day. I feel it. As long as you trust me."

Jeri looks down at the ground for a few seconds. Do I trust him?  Jeri slowly looks up at his face. And takes a deep breath. "I do trust you."

Suddenly the group gasps, as a weird noise fills the air. The four of them looks around the clearing to try to find the source of the noise. "What was that?' Blaine asked. Gatomon narrowed her eyes, as she held up her claws. "We have uninvited guest." She hissed.

From a manhole cover steam started to pour from the covers of the plate. Blaine stepped out in front of Jeri and held out an arm as if to protect her. "Get behind me." He instructed. Jeri did as she was told, and held her fist up. As if she was getting ready to fight whatever was about to come out of the sewer herself.

The manhole cover flew off releasing tons of steam into the air. Calumon started to wave her arms up and down. As she started to panic. "Oh no, oh bad, bad, oh no, oh bad..."

Jeri started to shiver as she whispered to herself. "Don't panic...a tamer never panics.."

Blaine bit his lip. "Don't worry Jeri. Everything will be alright." he reassured her. Jeri nodded as she bawled her fist. Trying her best to fight her fears. She stood her ground, and remained where she was. A shadow like object jumped from out of the sewers with red glowing eyes. The shadow is then to be revealed to be a rat in golden armor.

Jeri and Calumon gasped. While Blaine kept his ground, he bawled his fists. As he narrowed his eyes at the creature in front of him. He quickly pulled out his D-power. Getting ready to analyze whatever it was.

"Now is that any way to greet...your worst nightmare?" A male voice asked with an amused voice.

Blaine blinked as he heard Jeri start to hyperventilate behind him. Out of the corner of his eye. He could see Calumon jump up and jump into Jeri's open arms. The two of them appeared to be terrified.

"Nyaah!"

Jeri frowned as she stared at the strange digimon. "Are you my partner, Mr. Whatever-you-are?" She asked a little afraid to know the answer. Blaine groaned mentally. Hopefully this won't be, are you my mother syndrome. Where every digimon she sees come from the digital world. Will some how be her digimon partner. That is the most illogical thing to think of.

"No Jeri, whatever that thing is. It means to do harm to us all." He holds up his D-power. But no information comes up. The digivices is making a whirling noise as it was trying to locate information. "Gosh...come on."

"Your foolish device is meaningless human! I am a mighty Deva who serves the all-powerful Sovereign digimon, why would I join forces with a pathetic human?" He asked angrily.

Jeri held a hand over her heart. She sighed loudly in relief. "Thank goodness! No offense, but you're way too bizarre! I can't tell if you're a mouse, a spider or a nutcracker! Wait a minute... if you're not my partner, then you must've come here to fight us!" She cried as she hid behind Blaine.

"Go Gatomon!" Blaine shouted.

The feline digimon nodded as she raced forward. "On it!" Gatomon pounced forward towards the mouse digimon. Kumbhiramon smirks as Gatomon closes in on him. "So you want to play cat and mouse huh?"  He narrows his eyes as Gatomon draws closer. "Your going to use your electric paw attack. Are you?"

Gatomon gasped at this. Electricity already had started to form around her paws. She pounced forward anyways. I need to make my landing perfect. Gatomon gritted her teeth. "Treasure pestle!" Kumbhiramon leaps forward with his weapon sticking towards Gatomon.

The champion digimon gasped. Due to her not having enough time to dodge the attack. She landed roughly on the ground. With a small cry. The rat digimon laughed as he raced forward towards her. "Deva clones!" As he ran. Six other Kumhiramon appeared side by side to him. Two of them launched forward and landed with a thud on Gatomon's chest. The feline let out a pain howl.

"Gatomon!" Blaine yelled. He was about to race forward. When he quickly glanced back at Jeri. "Get out of here! It's not safe!" He shouted at her. Jeri's eyes shook. But I want to help. I need to help you both...I thought you said I could be a tamer. "But-" Blaine bit his lip. He stopped running and stared at Jeri straight in the eyes. "You have to go. You need to have faith in me Jeri. I need to protect you. And I can't do it with you here. You have to go!"

Jeri slowly nodded. "I trust you" She watched as Blaine raced over to his fallen partner. "Get away from her!" He yelled. The four other clones stared at him and only laughed. "Ha!" They all laughed. As they pounced and knocked him to the ground.

"Are you a piñata!?" One of the clones asked as it jumped up and down on his stomach.

"Looks like you can save your feline, or your girl." Two of the clones laughed together as they kicked his head.

Jeri watched in terror as she held onto Calumon. She knew that Blaine told her to go. But she couldn't move. She wanted to help. She gasped as she noticed that one of the clones was now standing in front of her. She cried and held Calumon in front of her like a shield. "Get'm, Calumon!"

The ultimate digimon barred his fangs at Calumon. Which only terrified the in-training level digimon. Her eyes grew wide as she sweat dropped. Calumon flew out of Jeri's open hands and flew behind her.

Jeri started to flap her arms up and down as she quickly realized Calumon wasn't fighting back. "What are you doing?" She cried. As she began to quickly run away. Calumon blinked before she quickly flew after her. The two of them screamed as they both ran away from the ultimate level digimon.

"Ha ha, let the games begin!" The ultimate level digimon laughed as he raced after the two of them. Blaine cried out as he witness this. "No! Leave them alone!" But just as he said this. The clones around him and Gatomon had vanished. Gatomon lined in a heap on the ground. She was trying to keep her eyes open. "Blaine" She whimpered.

Blaine quickly picked Gatomon up carefully. "Gosh...that must mean the real one went after Jeri and Calumon. We have to go after them!" He shouted. Gatomon nodded. And Blaine held her close as he ran in the direction he saw them go off to.

The strange kid watches after Blaine and Gatomon from the woods. "Hmm..."

Jeri and Calumon was running through an open field. Jeri had no idea what Calumon was doing. Wasn't a digimon supposed to fight?  "I don't get it, why don't you use a special attack on him or something, what kind of digimon are you?" Jeri asked Calumon as they ran.

Calumon closed her eyes shut as she continued to run.  "A cuddly cute kind who doesn't like to fight and gets cramped when she eats too much!" She whined. Kumbhiramon laughs loudly as he chased after the two of them.

Jeri comes to a halt when she stops in front of the fountain in the main center of the park. She was trying to catch her breathe. As she placed her hands on her knees. Oh...gosh. I left Blaine behind. What if...what if he got badly hurt. What if... Tears started to form in the corner of her  eyes.

Jeri shook her head. Trying to get out of her thoughts. Hopefully whatever was chasing them was a clone. And Blaine was finding a way to handle the real one. "Maybe we lost him..." She said aloud to Calumon.

Kumbhiramon raced into the opening on top of the fountain. A huge grin plastered on his mouse-like face. "Maybe you didn't" He laughed as he lunged forward into the water in front of Jeri and Calumon.

Jeri took a step back. "It's been nice knowing you, Calumon..." Jeri shook with fear as she stared at the ultimate digimon in front of them. "I can't move... " She whispered.

Calumon held a tiny paw in front of her face. Me neither...

The rat digimon laughed to himself as he took a step forward. But suddenly gasped in surprise. As a gush of water launched him into the air.

Jeri gasped as she watched as geyser of water formed from the middle of the fountain. "It's a miracle! I wonder what this means?"

"Maybe the fountain didn't like the way he tasted?" Calumon suggested with a soft smile. From the water, a rainbow appeared brightly.  Jeri stared closely at the rainbow as a figure slowly started to appear on top of the bright light. A lion humanoid figure appeared. This warrior-like digimon had his arms crossed, as his eyes were closed shut.

Jeri gasped in joy as she thought she recognized him. She quickly looked into her bag and pulled out her deck of cards. She shuffled them around until she found the lion-like digimon.
"I knew it! It's Leomon! Oh, he's so big! This must be a sign!" She started to blush as she held a hand over her heart. "He's meant to be...my partner!"

Blaine and Gatomon ran into the area and gasped as they both saw the champion level digimon on top of the rainbow. Blaine blinked as he stared at the lion digimon. I swear to god. If that thing ends up being Jeri's partner. He would start believing in all of Julia's weird fantasies.

The strange kid from before. Was now watching the battle from behind a tree. "Hmm..."

Jeri could only stare up at Leomon, with a happy smile. But her thoughts were broken as Kumbhiramon raced forward and shouted. "You should get out of my way!"

Leomon narrowed his eyes as he look down at the rodent digimon. "You should pick on someone your own size. A true warrior battles those who are strong - only a coward fights defenseless little girls."

Jeri held her hands together as her smile grew. "Ahh!"

Kumbhiramon snarled before he pounced into the air. "You will pay for your impertinance, warrior!"

Leomon quickly placed a paw on the hilt of his blade. Kumbhiramon drawled nearer to the lion digimon. Slowly getting ready to slash at the champion digimon. Jeri and Calumon watched from the side lines in slight fear. Leomon narrowed his eyes and drew his sword. He pounced off the rainbow and struck the rodent digimon in the back of his armor, sending the ultimate digimon flying away into the park.

Jeri held her hands together. She could only smile. Continuing to think. Leomon is my partner. "He's amazing!" She whispered to herself. Blaine looks down at Gatomon. "Well I am glad that was handled." He whispered aloud. Gatomon nodded to agree with him. "Me as well. I wouldn't want to go round two with him."

Leomon landed on the ground. Jeri smiled brightly as she raced towards Leomon. "My hero!" She stopped running as she got a few paces away from him. Leomon was busily putting his sword back into his scabbard. "Mr. Leomon?"

"What is it, kid?" Leomon asked as he look over at her. Jeri held her hands together. A look was plastered on her face. That almost look like she was about to fan girl. " You're my partner!" She said excitedly.

"I'm your what?"

Away from this conversation Blaine was busily checking his D-power. Trying to find the location of where Kumbhiramon. Gatomon slowly started to tap Blaine on his shoulder. "Earth to Blaine. We have a major problem. Jeri is about to go all crazy your my digimon partner again with Leomon."

Blaine's eyes grew wide as he looked up from his D-power. "Oh my god, she wouldn't"

Blaine started to run in there direction. "Jeri! Stop what your doing now!" He tried to call out to her.

Jeri didn't really seem to hear him. Or she was too far into lala land to noticed. Leomon on the other hand, was too puzzled to hear anything. But the crazy talk Jeri was bringing up to him. "I'm honored to be your tamer!"

"Tamer?"

Jeri continued to smile brightly as she clasped her hands together. "You have no idea how long I've dreamed about this!"

Leomon slowly looks down at Calumon. "You wanna clue me in here, pal?" He asked slightly puzzled. Calumon's ear flaps fell. "I think her brain's gone all funny...must have been the crème puffs she ate." She suggested.

"Calumon, stay out of this!" Jeri slightly snapped at her.

"Well it has..." Calumon whispered as she stared at the ground sadly.

"Now where were we...?" Jeri asked as she looks back at Leomon with a 'love' like look.

"You're a strange little human. You sure you're ok?" He asked.

"I am just fine..."

Leomon blinked at this. Oh-kay...  Leomon turned away from her. And glanced behind his shoulder. "Uh, see ya 'round, kid..."  Leomon raced off. Jeri let out a pain cry as she noticed this. "Wait, we're supposed to be together!" She whaled.

Blaine quickly raced after to her. "Wait!"

Jeri shook her head. "I can't! I need to go after him. He's my digimon partner. I finally found him Blaine."

Blaine shook his head. "But how are you for sure? You didn't get a blue card, or a digivices." He pointed out.

Jeri shrugged her shoulders. "It's destiny Blaine. I can feel it."

Blaine blinked. "Destiny?"

Jeri nodded.

"So, if destiny were to tell you to jump off a bridge, would you do it?" He asked puzzled.

Jeri shrugged her shoulders. "Well I don't know. I don't speak destiny. But I need to go after him! We are supposed to be together!" She raced away from Blaine before he could say anything else. "Come back here Leomon!"

Blaine face palm. "You know...I can't handle this anymore." He pulled out his cell phone. While Gatomon look up at him with a playful smile. "Who you texting." Blaine only frowned. "I am texting Takato. Hopefully he can help."

(Texting)

Blaine: Takato come to the park

Blaine: It's urgent

Takato: WHAT"S GOING ON?! IS A DIGIMON ATTACKING?

Blaine: Worse...just please come. I don't know how to handle this anymore...

Takato: Don't worry. I am on my way.

(Later)

Blaine was sitting on the side of the side walk. As he watched Leomon running as fast as his legs could carry him. A determined look was on his face, as he was trying everything possible to get away from Jeri. Blaine had to admit. Jeri has been keeping this up for thirty minutes. God...where is Takato?!

Gatomon turned her head away from Leomon to see Jeri on hot pursuit. The brown haired girl with propelling herself forward to catch up with him. "And there she goes..." Calumon was running alongside Jeri. The small in-training digimon had a worried look on her face.

Leomon finally found a spot behind a tree. Thinking he was finally safe. He took a deep breath of relief. Watching as Jeri continue to run forward away from him. What a crazy kid....

Calumon jumps back when she hears him breathing. She pointed in the direction of where he was hiding. And she announced. "Found him!" Leomon's eyes grew wide when he heard this. Leomon glanced back in the direction where Jeri went. And was taken back. As Jeri was sprinting back in their direction.

"Huh? Aw, nuts! " He jumps away from the bushes and started to run away from her. As Leomon passed Blaine once again. The green-haired boy facepalmed. "How long will this go on."

Calumon laughs as she races alongside Jeri. "This game is fun, yeah!"

Leomon jumps throughs some bushes and finds Guilmon's secret hide out. "Hmm..." He glances over the building. And quickly runs inside without giving it a second thought. When he heard. "Where are you Mr. Leomon?!"

Jeri quickly races fast a few moments later. While Calumon stops running and wanders over to Guilmon's hide out. She peers inside and smiles brightly. She quickly turns around and holds her paws over her lips. "He's here-"

Leomon quickly pounced out of the hideout and grabbed Calumon. Covering her mouth with his paw. He then jumped back into the hideout. "Be quiet!" He whispered in a soft voice. Not trying to sound hostile in anyway.

Takato and Guilmon run in the direction of the hide out. "Come on Guilmon...Blaine told us Jeri was doing something crazy over here." Takato stopped running when he noticed Leomon standing in the hideout. With Calumon in his paw. "Calumon!" Takato cried.

Calumon smiled brightly as she jumped out of Leomon's paw. And flew towards Guilmon. "Oh, Guilmon!" She laughed happily.

Takato looks over the champion level digimon in surprise. "Leomon..."

Guilmon titled his head with a puzzled look. "Huh?"

Takato held up his D-power as information about Leomon popped up. "Champion level. His bravery is matched by his Fist of the Beast King attack. Hey, picking on Calumon isn't very brave!"

The lion digimon glances over to him and held up a paw. As he shook his head. "You just don't understand, kid."

"Well I think I do!  You have been messing around with my friends. And badly injured Gatomon! Prepare to fight!"

Leomon groaned as he put a paw over his face. "You've gotta be kidding."

Takato held up his D-power. "We can take you, right Guilmon?"

Guilmon blinked at this. And look over the lion digimon. Not knowing if he would be able too or not. "Uh...huh?"

Takato  bawled his fists as he look over at his partner. "C'mon boy, go get'm!"

Guilmon took a catious step forward. "Ok..."

"I don't want to fight you." He puts his paw on the hilt of his sword. "But it seems you've left me no choice."

"There you are!" Jeri's voice came from behind him.

"Oh come on!" Blaine cried out from the background.

Takato and Guilmon turn around to see Jeri running towards them. She was practically skipping. While Blaine was slowly walking after her. With his head down casted to the ground.

"Jeri?" Takato asked.

Jeri smiled brightly as she took a few steps fast them. And held out her left hand to Leomon. "I want you both to meet my partner, Mr. Leomon!" She announced. At this statement, Blaine walked over to the nearest tree and started to lightly bang his head against it.

Takato blinked a few times before he spoke again. "Um, wow, really?" He asked.

"Looks like I'm a tamer just like you, pretty neat huh?"

Takato shrugged. Not completely understanding what was going on. Or why Blaine was started to bang his head against a tree repeatedly. "Well I guess congratulations are in order?"

Leomon stepped out and shook his head. "Now hold on, kid."

"Sir yes sir." Takato said quickly. Not knowing what to do or say in this situation.

"All I've been hearing about is partners and tamers. I don't know what those are, but let's just get one thing straight - I'm a lone warrior, that's the way it's always been, and that's the way it's going to stay. Do I make myself clear?"

Takato nodded as he saluted the lion digimon. "Yes sir, crystal. But, um..." Leomon blinked. "But what?" Takato looks over at Jeri, who still seem to be staring at Leomon happily. Not even to appear to look like she heard a word he just said. "Does that mean Jeri's not your partner, Mr. Leomon?"

"Call me Leomon, and for the last time, I don't know what that means!"

Jeri twirls on the heels of her shoes as she looks up at him. "I'll tell you what it means!"

"Huh?"

"Leomon..." She spoke softly.

Leomon quickly backed away from her. "Aargh, please stop doing that!"

Jeri took a few steps towards him. "Partners are inseperable! Like you and I will be! "

Leomon shook his head as he started to run away. Once again. "I don't think so!"

Jeri held up a hand after him. "But wait, that's just the beginning!" She called after him. As she began the chase.

Takato, Guilmon and Calumon all blink before they all said. "Oh-kay..."

Takato glances over at Blaine. "I don't know how to handle this..."

Blaine groaned as he hit his hand against the tree again. "Please kill me..." He whined.

Gatomon patted him on the back. "It will get better soon."

"I could always call Henry. Maybe he would have an idea." Takato suggested, as he started to run in the direction of a pay phone. "I forgot my phone at the house..." He grumbles.

Blaine sighed as he followed him. "Maybe he will have an idea." He said hopefully.

Guilmon glanced in the direction where Jeri ran off too. "Jeri sure can run fast." Calumon nodded to agree with him. "Mmm hmm."

Once Takato reached a pay phone. He dialed Henry's number. While Blaine and the digimon sat down to watch Jeri continue her chase after Leomon.

(On the phone)

"Jeri's a tamer? Are you sure? She's chasing him? Making eyes? Tamers don't do that!" Henry's voice sounded a little offended.

Takato nodded as he listened to what Henry said. "Wait, I'll ask." Takato looks over at Jeri. "Hey, Jeri!"

Jeri stopped running to look at him. "Yeah?"

"Are you sure he's your partner?"

"Yes!"

Takato tilted his head. "How come?"

Blaine only groaned when he asked this. But he mouthed the words Jeri was about to say. When she spoke them. "Cause it's destiny!"

"Ok, thanks!"

Jeri looks back in the direction Leomon ran off too. "You can't escape destiny, Mr. Leomon!" She raced off again. Takato sighs as he return the receiver to his ear.  "She says it's destiny."

Henry shook his head as he spoke on the other line. "That doesn't sound good at all! Hm... Ok, I'll be right there."

Takato sighed in relief as he put the phone back on it's cradle. "Henry's on his way." Blaine smiled at this news. "Finally, maybe someone can snap her out of this. " Takato look back at the phone. " I guess I should tell Rika too. And maybe Tiffany, she might know how Jeri is feeling is right now."

Blaine raised an eyebrow at this. "What do you mean?" Takato shrugged his shoulders. "Well...Tiffany acted slightly strange when I first met her. So I feel like these two situations might go hand in hand." He exclaimed.

"Jeri? That just isn't possible. Blondie I can handle...but Jeri no way." Rika grumbled from the other line.

Takato continued to listened to what she had to say. Until he nodded and said. "Wait, I'll ask." He glances over at Jeri. "Hey, Jeri!"

Jeri stops once again. "Yeah?"

"Do you have a digivice?"

Jeri shook her head. "No, I don't!"

Takato put the phone back to his ear. "That's a negative."

"Anything else?" Jeri called back over to him.

Takato shook his head. "No, that's all!"

"Mr. Leomon, wait up!" Jeri whined.

Rika sighed. "No digivice? She's obviously not a tamer - she's delusional! Oh whatever, I'm coming right down."

"Rika's coming too." He informed everyone else. He look back at the phone and started to dial the next number.

"What do you mean I would understand what Jeri is doing right now?" Tiffany asked angrily on the other line.

Takato took a step back. "Well...I thought." He listened to Tiffany for a few seconds. "Okay I am sorry." He look over at Jeri and shouted. "Hey Jeri!"

She stopped running again. "Yes?"

"Did you get the blue card?"

Jeri shook her head. "What's that?"

"That's a nope!" He said into the phone.

Tiffany sighed and shook her head. "Julia and I are on our way. But don't think your off the hook Takato." She warned.

Takato gulped as he hung up the phone. "Tiffany and Julia are also coming as well." He announced.

They all watched as Jeri started to chase Leomon up a staircase. Then Jeri's loud scream was heard from the woods. Blaine quickly shot up to his feet. "Jeri!" He shouted. Already being the first to run in her direction. Gatomon quickly on his heels.

Takato and the other digimon ran after Blaine. But noticed Jeri already running down the stairs. "Jeri! Are you ok?" Takato asked her. But before she could answer. Leomon was knocked back from the woods. Blocking a blow from Kumbhiramon.

Takato blinked in surprise at the rat digimon. "Who or what is that?"

Blaine face palmed. "You know...with all this craziness going on. I completely forgot to mention that a Deva is here."

"A Deva? You're kidding!" Takato held up his D-power. "Looks like whoever put him together lost the manual... " Just as he finished his statement. His information appeared above his digivice. "Kumbhiramon, Deva digimon, Ultimate level. His Deva Clone attack makes him six times the trouble! Deva Clone?"

Gatomon nods to this bit of information. "Yes, be careful of that little weasel. That attack is no joke." She warned.

Henry with Terriermon sitting on top of his head. Ran over to Takato's side. Terriermon stared over at the fight that was going on in front of them. "Woah!"

Takato glances over at the two of them. "About time!"

Henry shook his head. "This just doesn't make any sense! What's Leomon doing here if he's not Jeri's partner?" he asked aloud.  They watched as Leomon and Kumbhiramon squred off with one another.

Terriermon shook his head. "I don't know, but I'm not asking him!"

Calumon bawled her tiny little paws. "Leomon's a hero! Leomon's a hero! The Devas don't fight nothing, cos rat-face is a zero! Yay!" She cheered loudly.

Kumbhiramon narrowed his eyes. "You're about to be outnumbered, ya oversized alley cat! Deva Clone!"

Gatomon eyes grew wide. "Watch out!"

"Huh?"

Leomon was taken back, as six other Kumbhiramon were now surrounding him. Each of them pounced towards at him. One by one. He would defect their attack with a quick block with his sword.

"Leomon!" Jeri cried. As she was about to race forward.

"Stay back!" Takato exclaimed as he held her back.

"Takato...don't you trust me?" She asked sadly.

"Uh...Jeri...you" Jeri bit her lip not knowing what

"There's too many of them!" Leomon exclaimed as he tried his best to block each blow that came his way.

"Stay here. It's safe." Takato tried to reassure her.

"Give it to me!" Jeri instructed him.

"Huh?"

Jeri held out her hand. "Your digivice! "

Takato looked unsure. "Uh..."

Jeri didn't waste anytime. She quickly whirled around towards Blaine. "Please Blaine. You said I needed to trust you. But can you please trust me." Blaine stared at her for a few seconds before he nodded. He handed her, his digivices. And she nodded as she took it, with a determined look.

A card twirled around on the screen, before Jeri caught it. Jeri look up from the ground with a determined look. "Digi-Modify! " Jeri swiped her card through Blaine's D-power.

Nothing seem to happen to Leomon. He continued to fight on with no added effects.

Jeri frowned at this. She took a deep breathe. "Let me try again." She held up another card. "Digi-Modify!" She swiped a card through the D-power once again. But nothing happens yet again. Jeri's eyes started to water as realization hit her. "Guess I'm not Leomon's tamer after all..." Jeri fell to her knees.

"Jeri..." Takato whispered placing a hand on her shoulder. Blaine was actually about to go over to her. To comfort her. But stopped when he noticed Takato was already by her side. Gatomon seem to notice this, and she hummed to herself.

Henry raced forward holding his D-power out. "Terriermon!" He called out. His digimon partner jumped off his head. "Digi-Modify!" Henry shouted as he swiped a card through his D-power. "Digivolution activate!"

Calumon closed her eyes, as the marking on her forehead started to glow. "Here we go!"

The strange kid gasped as he watched from nearby.

https://youtu.be/tPsJ52wMSa4

"Haha!" The strange kid laughs loudly. Catching everyone's attention.

"It's you!" Takato shouted.

"That strange creep from last week." Blaine whispered. The strange kid continued to laugh as he turned on the heels of his shoes. And started to run away. Renamon pounced out of the woods. With Rika, Tiffany, and Julia following after her.

" I'm going after him!" Renamon announced as she dashed off.

"Not without me, you're not! " Rika shouted as she raced after her.

Tiffany and Julia glanced over at the battle. But stopped when they noticed Jeri was crying. "Jeri" They said in unison. They both fell to their knees and held on either side of her shoulder. "What's wrong?" They asked.

Leomon fell to the ground in pain from the attack he took straight to his chest. Kumbhiramon was about to strike the lion digimon in his back. Where he had fallen. But Gargomon quickly came from the side and shouted. "Bunny Pummel!"

Leomon slowly got up to his feet, and glanced over his shoulder. To see Jeri crying. And some of her friends trying to comfort her. "She's crying..." Leomon picked up his sword, which had fallen to the ground. "This is for you, kid!"  He growled as he held his sword towards the multiple copies of Kumbhiramon.

"Glad to have you with us." He said with a smile before he raised his Vulcan arms. "Gargo Laser!" The laser attack was able to dissipate all of the clones of the rat digimon.

Leomon reared his right fist back. Before he roared loudly. "Fist of the Beast King!" This attack launched the ultimate level digimon in the air. Leomon pounced in the air, and slashed the rat through his chest. Causing Kumbhiramon to burst into data. Leomon landed on the ground safely, and placed his sword back into his scabbard. "My work here is done." He announced.

Leomon stares back at the group of kids and their digimon partners. His eyes specially though landed on Jeri. The brown-haired girl was still crying. "I should go before her tears make me stay. Goodbye, Jeri."  Leomon started to walk away into the park.

Jeri started to sob loudly. Takato went to give Jeri a hug. "Jeri..." But stopped when Jeri shook her head. "Don't... please, just leave me alone! " She sobbed.

"I'm sorry, Jeri. Come on, Terriermon." Henry said as he began to walk away.

"Moumantai, Jeri, moumantai!"

Guilmon shook his head. "It's so sad, I can't watch!" The reptile digimon raced off. Not wanting to see Jeri cry anymore. Takato held out his hand. Before he began to race after him. "Oh Guilmon, wait!"

Jeri continued to cry. As Julia and Tiffany softly patted her on the back. Trying their best to comfort her.  I made a fool out of myself... how could I think I was special enough to have a partner of my own? Why didn't I just listen to Blaine...

Blaine stared at Jeri with a frown on his face. "Poor Jeri..."

(HYPNOS LAB)

"Hey Tao, would you stop working so hard? You're making the rest of us look bad! Come here, take a look at this." Mr. Wong's associates named Dolphin called out. "Huh?" Janyu got up from his chair and walked over to his friend's desk.

"Hello, over here!" Dolphin said gesturing for him to walk faster. Janyu stares down at the screen to see pictures of two children holding up devices. "Hey, they're just like the portables we used to have! It's just like old times, huh?" He asked his friends.

An earthquake started to shake the city. Causing everyone to try to keep their footing.

End of episode 25
