The fifteen year old Takato looks at Shinjuku and begins to only become more aggravated. He had bad memories here. He stood in his old room from above his parents' bakery and sighed. He was back in Shinjuku against all his protests. He knew that he'd cause quite a ruckus tomorrow. He then hears his phone ring. "Hello?"

"Takato I heard your back in Shinjuku."

"Yes you heard right, Itsuki, how's your situation over there? In Nagasaki?" Takato asked a boy with similar age on the other end of the line.

"Same and it's becoming a problem. I'm getting more and more Devidramon reports. The others have found multiple in Nara,Sendai and Chiba along with where you were stationed last,Kyoto . There's some Devimon and Madleomon along with Sealsdramon appearing everywhere. Davis fought a Skilled army of Skullmeramon led by DexDorugoramon.

Takato knew they were stretched thinly. There were three in the digital world and two in Tokyo then 1 per outer city surrounding Tokyo. The goal was to protect the Four Computer shrine gates. It was connected to the Internet along the dimensional divide. He didn't want them so spread out but the connection was that sovereigns weren't able to leave the digital world that easily and effectively they were injured from their own encounter with the great evil known as the Dark Masters. They were created by the Seven Demon Lords. Their evil was so great that they launched their Nightmare army.

Thousands upon hundred of thousands of Devimon and Devidramon flew through the digital world at war with innocent Digimon that were Rookie of in training. Some were champions that tried to defend but they were outnumbered. The Holy Angelic army of Angemon and etc repelled then along with Knightmon with different armor colors to distinguish them. King Drasil knew that worlds were in trouble so he made the Royal Knights.

Thirteen humans were chosen. King Drasil gave them a way out and they were experienced tamers as well.

They were all given thirteen knight blades and Golden Colored D-Arcs. King Drasil often also noted to them that they had the freedom to choose to become Knights and leave if they wish. However they would go back to their normal lives with a path to protect the royal knights from the shadows. Their partners would stay with them with a way to change their digital code so they would become different mega digimon.

The thirteen members of the royal knights were himself, Omnimon, Magnamon,
Alphamon,Crusadermon, Dynasmon, Kentaurosmon, Craniamon, Examon, UlForceVeedramon, Gankoomon, Jesmon Leopardmon and their human partners.

These thirteen children were the protection of the network and protectors of Digimon and humans alike. Thousands of digimon often passed through classified as a wild one but often was a dark Digimon from the dark Area. There was also the Dark ocean where the sea based Digimon were. These two places were the places that sealed these Nightmare class Digimon away.

Takato sighed. "Knowing my old team, they would try to fight the Devidramon. It will be a sight no doubt."

He didn't know why he returned here. He could think it was probably Rika who he loved, his parents wanting to return. There was also that two years away from the tamers wasn't even enough. He harbored hatred for them.

Gigimon was on the bed eating bread. Tomorrow was a school day.~Friday, the Royal knights were hiding in plain sight of the world and also their digital Humanoid servants of King Drasil that serve them make sure to assist them in all capacities.

Takato could still remember the reason why he left.....

>**Flashback**< -3 Years ago- After the digital world visit.

The tamers came back from the digital world turning them into Data, but their fear had spread among them along with their anger towards Takato as if something was spreading among them.

They had recently encountered a Digimon that wasn't supposed to appear again in legend but it defeated the tamers to their breaking point till Takato had to use a power that wasn't supposed to be used again. In the result that Rika was injured, Takato had transformed the boy into Megidramon in his hatred and anger. Once again worse than when Leomon was destroyed. The Tamers had enough and came to a decision.

"Stay away from us! You destroyed Guilmon's innocence! You used him to destroy that city! Jeri yelled as she backed from Takato. Takato as the Bio-merged Megidramon to try and fight Beezlemon. In his anger he nearly destroyed the whole area along with the other Digimon while they were in the digital world, while hadn't the royal knight seen evacuating them. His name was Yogi Natsuo aka Dynasmon.

"But Jeri...I didn't..." Takato pleaded. He was feeling a weight on his chest that was trying to succumb himself into darkness.

Jeri screamed. "Don't touch me! You turned Guilmon into a monster!"

Takato stood while dark energy pure black surrounded himself and looked down at his bare hands. His eyes blackened as an invisible force that was gray and black.

Jeri's right.... I'm a monster. I turned Guilmon from a sweet, Innocent into a bloody thirsty monster."

Rain started pouring in front of Guilmon's shed. The tamers all looked cold, not including Henry and Rika who were still just standing there. They didn't agree with this but they were scared of Megidramon. Their fear has overcome them. Seeing that Takato wouldn't be able to control his emotions deemed him unworthy.

Ryo shook his head in disgust. "Megidramon was supposed to be a mistake the first time and I understood but you can't control your emotions and you can't control yourself.

Kazu and Kenta were still shocked about the whole thing.

"I can't believe you did that again Chumley..." Kazuto spoke with a look. "You've done with Tai but worse. You turned Guilmon into a monster like Tai did to Agumon but I can't trust you if you did it the second time and Tai didn't do that."

Takato began to cry silently, tears streaming down his face while the darkness started to consume him more and more covering his form. Rising from the darkness of the shed as if waiting for Takato. But only two tamers noticed. Their Digimon stayed silent, not even Terriermon could make a comment that could change the intensity of the moment. It was swallowing Takato that he tried to make himself a case. Guilmon,however, had passed out from using all his energy.

Takato turned to look at his best friend, Henry Wong, but could not see his expression. Henry's face was looking down at the Gray,wet cement.

Then Takato looked to his love, Rika Nonaka. She was the only girl he loved since he met her but feelings he had for Jeri were no more. He loved Rika but couldn't say it. But he also couldn't see her expression either because of her injuries from the bandages and Rika wasn't any better. Her back was turned to him. Unknownst to him she felt ashamed that she might've caused his transformation in which her own feelings grew stronger for him. She wouldn't admit it though.

Rika couldn't believe what had happened. Takato instead of turning Guilmon into Megidramon, he merged with Guilmon to make a gigantic mistake with a more powerful form since he merged with Takato and his inner energy that only grew.

Takato turned to walk away carrying a fainted Gigimon who had de-digivolved.

He said three words before leaving. "I'm sorry,Jeri."

"Sorry, it doesn't cut it,Takato! I can't believe I'm saying this,but I think I can speak for all of us. You can't be our leader if you accidentally again made Guilmon into that monster and murderer!" Kenta snapped with Kazu nodding.

Takato's eyes stared in shock at those words. He touched his new goggles and his eyes then burned with anger and hatred as the darkness seemed to block out the Sun behind him and no one saw it besides the older boy in a black large jacket with a sword on his back. With a Digimon watching as well growling. "Do you all think this?!" He asked angrily with venom in his voice. The darkness consuming his eyes.

Jeri,Ryo,Kenta,and Kazu nodded slowly but surely. Then Takato turned to Henry and Rika. "What about you? Henry? Rika-Chan?"

Their faces remained still with Rika about to speak but Takato's emotions blocked his sense of wanting to hear it.

Fine! Why don't you all just go to hell! I'll leave and never come back again! How could I even call you guys friends if you got mad at me for ANOTHER mistake! I may have made a mistake but this time it was to protect you all!" He turned to Rika. 'More for you though'

"Friends forgive friends for their mistakes and I did it for you all this is the thanks I get! EVERYONE makes Mistakes! I HATE YOU PEOPLE!! YOU BETTER HOPE YOU NEVER RUN INTO ME AGAIN!" Takato screamed all his rage with tears still streaming down his face.

The Tamers and their partners stared in shock at Takato's outburst and the growing darkness that surrounded him that seemed to come like a wave and spirit.

Takato then turned again and threw the goggles at the floor, breaking the lenses before running away, carrying a resting Gigimon and before he turned a corner to his home a darkness took him along with a boy and his Digimon.

Present time 2 years later

After all these years Takato had changed into a Black knight worthy of King Drasil. He had become corrupted by the darkness of the Dark area. He was saved by the Royal knights who were dispatched and disappointed in the famous Tamers who helped the digital world against a black wargreymon who terrorized it making them worthy. They also defeated a piedmon in another region before they returned to the real world.

Unlike the rest of the Tamers over these two years,Henry, who had been a true and loyal friend, kept in touch with him and always came to visit when he could. He and Henry still joked around with each other and hung out.

Rika still did keep in touch with Takato after she choked the answer on Takato's location out of Henry. She'd mail a letter once in a while and visit him in person to hang out with him while promising her that it will be kept between them, which Takato was pleased with mainly because he still loved her.

Takato still remembered the former best day of his life, when he was officially named leader of the Tamers.

**<Flashback>**
Takato was walking out of a Digimon card store after buying some new cards for his deck.

Then he bumped into all the Tamers. Their Digimon were nearby,obviously hiding themselves from the public.

He smiled to see his friends. "Hey guys Is there a wild Digimon somewhere?"

Jeri giggled. "No,Takato."

"Is there a meeting I'm late for?" He asked.

Kazu chuckled, shaking his head."No Chumley."

"Well why are we outside of a store all looking at me?" Takato grinned sheepishly at them clueless.

Kenta laughed. "Because we have a surprise for you!"

"A surprise?" Takato asked again.

"Yes,Gogglehead. Hey brainiac! Give me the bag! On the double!"

Henry sighed and complained as he handed her a red paper bag. "Will you ever stop calling me that?"

"Nope." Rika continued ignoring the glare from Henry from her demeanor. "I speak for all of us that including Mr. Perfect/Stubborn over there, that we officially *coughs* give you the title of leader of the tamers with this gift. Open puppet girl." She was still not liking Jeri at times from how much Takato pays attention to her.

Jeri took the bag smiling the whole time as she took out a pair of goggles.

Takato gasped. It was a pair of goggles like the ones Davis wore in the show. But they were light blue tinted and silver rimming glimmering in the sunlight.

Takato took the goggles and placed them on his head. "Thanks guys!"

"Alright let's celebrate!" Takato said though his eyes wandered off the number of smiles all around his team but also on Rika who had been the one who made his heart race on these fantastic days.

*end flashback*

He walked into the school about to change the lives of the Tamers forever.

Henry was walking his friends Kazu,Kenta and Jeri, it was their third year of junior high school. Rika joined them in their second year because her mother wanted her to make more friends. They have been closer and knew Rika fit in well with her friends, the Tamers.

He had been helping Jeri over Leomon's Death. He knew that Jeri had finally forgiven because she knew that Takato bio-merged to protect his fellow Tamers out of his anger because he had de-digivolved back into his human self. But who knows what would happen if Takato showed up.

Rika was standing in front of the school,tapping her right shoe impatiently.

"About time you three got here! Let's go already! We're going to be late and then Ms.Asagi is going to have another lecture planned for us on how to be early!" Rika said angrily.

All five Tamers to their fortunate luck of a draw had first period together-English with Ms.Asagi.

"You are all on time, that's surprising!" Students chuckled in reply while the teacher calmed them down. "Ok class enough we have a new student coming from Kyoto." She looked at the sheet. "It can't be!"

A boy with a kendo bag and an evil grin on his face.

'Seems Takato is back...'

'This will be interesting seeing the gogglehead back...to me I mean here ...' Rika only shook her head, blushing a bit. 'Let's see how the reaction from my dear tamers to seeing gogglehead return?'

She turned to look at the rest of the Tamers for their reactions since fortunately Ryo was in another school which she was so glad for.

Kenta thought. 'Holy Crap! It's Takato!'

"Hi!" Kazu chirped without a clue who he was not recognizing him.

Ms. Asagi introduced the new student with an exasperated sigh. "Welcome back, Takato Matsuki."

The class who remembered the name and all the Tamers except Henry and Rika gasp loudly.

Jeri was the most shocked. 'It can't be him! He changed so much!'

Takato wore a black leather jacket, a dark red shirt with the hazard symbol in the center of his stomach,dark jeans with a black belt, and red and black sneakers. He had his old goggles hanging around his neck. His Digimon deck was hanging on his belt and a golden D-Arc with a black trim with hazard symbol on the strap. He had a crest with the hazard symbol in the middle. His light brown hair now had dark brown highlights and was still Wild and untamed.

"Takato,please take a seat near the window." Takato nodded, then picked up his kendo bag and backpack with a black katana blade inside the kendo bag that was a digital replica capable of attacking Digimon. He walked over to the seat next to Henry,behind Rika, and in front of Jeri.

"Takato..." Jeri said softly. She wanted to talk about the incident and after all, it had been two years since she had seen him. However, from the looks on Henry and Rika's faces, she had a suspicion that they knew something she didn't.

"Can it, Katou!" Takato said coldly that negative energy from his hazard energy started to spread from the boy that made all the kids even Ms.Asagi get a chill of fear from him.

The other tamers stared at Takato oddly and with even fear from the small energy shockwave of dark energy.

Kenta thought. 'He's changed so much...'

Then the snack bell rang and Ms. Asagi dismissed the class. Takato, like a bat out of hell, ran out of the classroom. It leaves everyone surprised by the speed alone.

Takato was sitting against a Cherry Blossom tree with his hands behind his head and his eyes closed. 'Great. I have five more periods including lunch with them. Maybe I can eat with Henry alone...'

Just then, the Tamers walked up to Takato.

"Hey Gogglehead!" And "Hey Takato!" Were two greetings he paid attention too from none other than The Digimon Queen and his best friend.

Takato ignored the other tamers but his crush and his best friend. He was sending out negative dark energy connected to him. His killer intent surrounded and sent at the other tamers besides his crush and his best friend. The tamers felt an even more intense feeling.

"Takato..." Kenta began.

"Look who's here! It's my ex-friends that abandoned me! Well it must be important if you had to walk to speak to the leader you abandoned to rot! Leave me alone!" Takato said coldly.

"Takato, we're sorry! Please talk to us! To ME! We are-...!" Jeri started stuttering feeling uncomfortable and pleaded hoping that he still liked her. She felt so much guilt from the negative emotions Takato gave off. She saw the change and felt it was her fault.

Takato shook his head in disgust making his killer intent and anger of his power flare up. "DO you actually think I still like you, Jeri!" Rika smiled at that trying to hide it but Henry did, causing his own smirk. "Did you ever think that maybe I've moved on? STAY AWAY from me,Tamers except Henry and Rika. None of you ever cared to ask where I went or lived these past two years..."

Takato stood up and brushed the dust off. Then he walked away leaving the Tamers standing there.

Jeri,Kazu and Kenta turned to look at Rika and Henry with a look that said,"What does he mean?!"

Henry answered their look and loud enough tone with his eyes narrowed. "I, unlike the rest of you, wanted to know where Takato went so I called his parents and asked. And ever since then, I've kept in touch with him and sometimes visit whenever I have time and permission from my dad."

Then Rika stepped up. "I was suspicious of Brainiac here so I pounded out the whereabouts of Gogglehead out of him. And I've mailed him a letter every now and then."

This information shocked the three tamers even more.
