The digital world is Born
(1943, Britain)
A man with short comb brown hair, bright hazel eyes and a confident grin stood in front of a huge crowd. They crowd sat in a huge room. Filled with chairs. They room sat about one thousand people. People were quietly amongst themselves. Whispers of "Did you hear? Germany is planning to invade Paris." A man said worriedly.
"Imagine!" Thomas Flowers announced in front of his fellow peers in front of a crowd of spokes people from the British military. And a few lady journalists. "A way for us to intercept Germany's war plans." One woman raised her hand. Thomas Flowers nodded in her direction. "Yes?"
"How do you plan to do this?" She asked while holding out her notepad with one hand, and a pen in the other.
"I'm, glad you asked. We shall use an invention of my own design. The collosus. It's the world's first of its design." He announced holding his hand out to a large machine behind him.
The machine had large wires sticking out from here and there.
A man who appeared to be forty from the military raised his hand. "What do these machines exactly do?" He asked puzzled.
Thomas grinned bodily as he gestured to his machine. "Well the intent of Collosus is to read encrypted Germany messages. We will finally be able to see their attack plans." He exclaimed to the people in the room.
Another man stood up. "Has this machine ever been tested."
"Yes, it has, and it works"
The man flips a switch. And the machine begins to make a ticking noise. A few people in the room flinched at the sound of the machine beginning to turn on.
"Don't be alarm folks. The Collosus is just turning on." He informed the puzzled crowd.
The machine starts to whirl, and taping could be heard. Once the taping ceased, a small card from the right side.Thomas Flowers grabbed the card and held out a sheet of paper in his other hand.
"You see the dots it, typed out is the Collosus intercepting a signal. With this sheet of paper. It will help you decode the message. This message reads that Germany plans to attack Paris within two months"
The people in the room gasped. But the look of dread quickly changed into excitement began to clap.
"This is a step towards a better military future." He grinned triumphantly.
A zoom in was shown of the machine. Suddenly the screen lurches forward and follows a small piece of data in the machine. The piece of data went through a large tube and went into blank nothingness.
All there was, was pitch black. Nothing was seen. Until the small spark of light went into the middle of the nothingness and flashed out.
Suddenly a small lotus flower started to blossom in thin air. From there vines started to grow from the flower. Until the vines wrapped around one another. Entertaining to make arms and legs. Finally, a woman made entirely out of plants stood in the middle of nothingness.
Her body was covered with small lotus flowers. Her hair was draped across her back. Water ran down her hair and through the vines that made up her body. Her eyes were a dark blue. She was roughly about twenty feet tall. She blinked and looked around at her surroundings. She saw nothing but the darkness that surrounded her.
"Where...where am I?" She asked aloud.
She slowly put her hand to the ground and gasped when her hand caused grass to appear underneath her hands. The grass zoomed away from her fingertips and grew in different directions.
The woman withdrew her hand away from the ground and stared at it in wonder. She could see that the grass had stop growing. But the grass that had grown was a nice cool green.
Seeing the cool green caused the woman to smile. She saw the grass as beautiful. And she wanted to create more beauty all around her, to cause the darkness to disappear away from this world.
She slowly put her hand back to the ground and the grass continue to grow in every which direction. Flowers begin to blossom of all kinds. The colors bloomed in a variety of distinct colors. A fierce red, a chilly blue, a sweet yellow, and a calm pink. Trees of different sizes and structures started to raise up from the earth.
The woman stared in complete wonder as her work spread out across the darkness. Causing it to flee away from the bright colors she was designing out of nothingness.
As this new world was being created in front of her very own eyes. Her hand slipped causing it to slap against the grassy ground. Suddenly a few feet away from her the ground began to raise up high into the air creating a large mountain in the process.
Surprised by the mountain she stared at it and saw how the mountain seem to fit into the picture of her world. At first, she thought she had a mistake. But she only saw it to add beauty into this world.
Everything in this land was a puzzle piece and fit to one another perfectly.
Hours passed by and the darkness that had once surrounded the woman only became a small speck of nothingness.
The woman stared around the vast world she had created. She had felt like something was off. Her creation was indeed beautiful but she felt as if her creation was done yet.
She stared up into the sky only to see gray. The woman frowned. She wished she had the capability to touch the sky and to add color into it. To add beauty everywhere in this land.
She began to jump, but as much as she tried, it was all in vain. She then tried to stand on her tippy toes to reach the sky. Her hand reached desperately to touch the gray dull sky. Only wanted to change the color. Only wanting to add to her creation.
But she could do nothing to touch that pale gray colored sky. She tried for hours. She even tried to climb to the mountains peek. But even there her finger tips could not reach the sky.
When all seem was lost. A single tear fell the corner of her right eye. That tear drop fell from over the mountain side and hit a single speck of data.
Once the tear drop contacted the data. It stared to change. It began to grow into a figure. The figure grew until he was twenty-two feet tall. His body was covered in Draconic blue scales. His eyes were a murky yellow. A long tail touched the ground underneath him.
The male figure stared around the beautiful world around him. He looked upon the grass and saw that it was beautiful, the tress, the flowers, the fruits, the mountain. All were beautifully made.
His eyes finally landed on a woman at top of the mountain. He could see that she was crying. Plant like hands covered her face as she was sobbing. Her shoulders were bobbing up and down as she sobbed uncontrollably.
The Draconic figure climbed the tall mountain, and quietly walked up to the woman. And placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
The woman jumped in surprise from his touch. She was surprised that she was no longer the only being in this world anymore.
"Who...who are you?" She asked in shock.
The Draconic figure frowned as he was asked that question. "I have...no idea." He answered her truthfully. "I have only just awoken."
The woman nodded and turned her head away from him. She wipes a few tears away from her eyes. "At least...I'm not alone anymore." She exclaimed somewhat joyfully. But a small bit of sadness could still be heard in her voice.
The dragon tilted his head. "Why, why are you crying?" He asked puzzled. "Have you created this world?" He asked.
The woman nodded. "I have. It took me hours to create this world...but the sky. I want to spread my beauty into the sky. To add color, to get rid of the darkness that still dwells in these lands."
The dragon looked up into the gray sky and frowned. He looked down at his scaly hands and didn't know what to say to her.
He picked up a stone and felt a slippery texture on the side of the stone. He used his scales to absorb the water on the side of the stone. Once that task was done he set the stone aside and placed his hand over the side of the mountain top.
Soon water drops started to go over the side of the mountain. In minutes a gusher formed, and then the gusher of water became a waterfall.
From that waterfall, rivers, lakes, and oceans started to form all over this new world.
The dragon made sure that he didn't ruin any beauty that this woman before him created. He was just simply adding his own input in this world.
The dragon frowned as he stared at the water. Until he could see that water droplets were flying into the air. More Minutes gone by and clouds starred to form overhead.
This caught the women's attention. She stared into the cloudy sky in complete wonder, as so did the Draconic figure.
Rain started to fall upon them, and onto their creation. The rain was light. But it also added nourishment to the plants that already existed in this world. It added on to the oceans and lakes and rivers.
The rain was good to the woman and the dragon. When the clouds disappeared. The woman gasped, that over her head was now a bright blue sky. With white puffy clouds, here and there in the sky.
Her wish had finally come true. Color was finally added to that gray sky. And she saw it as beautiful.
As the woman stared off into the vast land. Her eyes landed on the small speck of darkness, the darkness that once covered all this land. She frowned. She surly thought with the sky being beautiful as the earth below. That surly would have gotten rid of that speck of darkness.
The woman and the dragon walked over to the tiny speck of darkness. She reached her hand out to touch the darkness, but the dragon held her hand back.
"Don't touch it." He whispered to her.
The dragon couldn't understand why. But he felt like he could since evil from the darkness that was in front of them.
A small piece of data flew towards the small speck of darkness. The darkness started to change in shape. Becoming a figure. It was about ten feet tall. The creature was also a dragon. But his scales were made with a different texture to the water dragon. His scales were an oily black, like the color of oil. The dragon had tattoos covering his body. On his chest was a symbol of a seven-point star. On his hands was tattoos of a skull and cross bones. Horns rested on top of his head making him have devil horns. His eyes were a piercing yellow, and his fangs were sharp and long.
The woman stepped back in surprise. The darkness had become its own being.
The dragon of darkness bowed towards the woman, and the water dragon.
"It is a pleasure to meet you both." He said in a grim voice.
The woman stared at him. "You were born from the darkness."
The darkness dragon nodded. "Indeed, I was. I wanted to tell you that darkness isn't all that bad."
The woman raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" She asked.
"Let me show you."
The dragon raised his left hand, and the blue sky started to turn black. Black as his scales. The light that once covered the plants was now gone.
"This is called night, a time of rest." He informed the two. "Living creatures usually sleep during this time of day."
"How do you know this?" The water dragon asked with disbelief in his voice.
"Do you not sense it? We were created from another source. From another world. We may not be able to get there, or see it. But we were created from some source from that other world." He explained.
They two were surprised to hear of this knowledge.
The woman stared down at the ground, and looked back at the dragon made of darkness. "Is some darkness evil?"
The dragon smirked. "Why yes, there is some evil out there. If you have me wish. I could banish the rest of the darkness that is still in this world."
The woman nodded.
And the dragon made of darkness snapped his fingers.
"Where did you sent it to?" The water dragon asked.
"A place where I would like to call..." He paused as he thought of an answer. "The dark ocean."
The woman nodded. A smile appeared on her lips. She was now pleased that the rest of the darkness was now gone from this world. All there was now was beauty and the darkness wouldn't be able to touch it.
"I did mention living organisms." He added.
The water dragon and woman stared at him in confusion.
"They would be lesser beings of course. We in the eyes of those beings would be gods. Hmm...the Gods of creation." The dragon looks like he liked the sound of the name.
The woman nodded and thought about it for a moment. She wonders what it would be like if creatures ran around her beautiful world. And it only made her smile. She looked at her shoulder and notice a small pink flower, the flower had lines of yellow in it with a small stem sticking out of it. She plucked the flower from her shoulder.
And placed the flower on the ground. The flower only seconds after touching the ground started to grow a body. The body was made of vines and roots. The flower rested on the creature’s head and it had dark green eyes. This was the digital world's first Palmon.
The creature looked up at the three beings in front of her in surprise.
"Don't be alarm little one." The woman whispered.
The plant creature nodded.
The water dragon stared around himself, and looked at the river. Staring at the river next to him. He could see his own Draconic reflection.
He peeled off a scale from his body and started to shape it into a smaller being. In doing so his blue scale became a dark yellow color.
With his work done a small reptile like creature now stood next to the plant creature. This was the digital world's first Agumon.
The darkness dragon grinned. Knowing that it was his turn next. He stared around himself. Until he looked up in the dark night sky. In his head, he could hear some other creature in another world. The sounds were low pitch but constant. An image appeared in his head of the creature.
He put his palms of his hands close together as he conjured darkness between the two of them. When the darkness disappeared, a small purple bat sat in the middle of the palm of his hand.
This was the digital world's first Tsukaimon.
The three God's of creation stood in front of the three newly born digimon.
"Who are you?" Palmon asked.
The woman looked puzzled for a second. Realizing that none of them had made a name for themselves. "I am Paumamon. And I desire stability in this land." She informed them.
The water dragon raised his head high. "I am Mizumon, I desire order amongst all living creatures in this land."
The dragon made of darkness rested a hand on his chest, as a twisted grin appeared on his lips. "And I am Azamon, the one who desires..." He paused as he thought of what he wanted. "Creation."
Agumon frowned. "Then did you guys create us?"
Mizumon nodded. "Indeed, we have."
Tsukaimon stared around this land. "What is this place called?" He asked.
Azamon grinned. "This place is made up of data. Data from another world. So, if this place is digital. Let's name it the digital world. And that we are monsters, and made up of data. We are digital monsters."
"Or how about digimon for short?" Palmon added in.
Azamon was about to cut in but Paumamon only smiled. She gave each of the new digimon a smile that only a caring mother could give. She saw the three digimon as her children. And she only wanted the best for them.
"This world belongs to all of you. There is no such thing as evil, or darkness. There is no fear of death. Because even if you do die. You will be reborn. I have made it so." She whispered softly to them.
"This land will be your home. So, explore. You three can go together, or go your separate ways. But in due times. You three will no longer be alone. The three of us." Paumamon gestured to Mizumon, and Azamon. "Will be creating more digimon in the future. So, you three will not be lonely. This world, will be a world of peace."
Agumon smiles happily. "We don't have to worry."
Paumamon nodded.
"What are we waiting for guys?" Tsukaimon asked Palmon and Agumon. "There is an entire world for us to explore."
Palmon and Agumon nodded to agree with him. The three of them were off. Leaving behind the three God's of creation to watch after them.
Azamon snarled as he looked at Paumamon. He couldn't believe what he just heard. She was allowing those lesser beings to live forever. They didn't have to worry about death...or sickness. Because if she was alive. She would always revive them.
Well this was going to change. Azamon slowly started to grin. He was going to create some of his own digimon. And add some darkness into this world Paumamon so dearly wants to protect.
Mizumon stared back at Azamon. "Everything alright?" He asked.
Azamon nodded. "Only happy, to see those three digimon go exploring in our happy lands." He lied.
Paumamon nodded. "Well, I feel like we shouldn't stay here too long either. I feel like the three of us should make sure these lands are stable."
Mizumon nodded to agree with her. "Even now, I can sense there is a problem in one of the oceans. I need to fix the situation."
Azamon stared around them. "This should be our meeting spot. Every year we shall meet here and discuss the events of the past year. If we made any new creations, and problems that we had to face. And at the end of the meeting. We add new life to this world." He suggested.
Paumamon nodded at the idea. She held up her hand as a large building made up of vines and flowers appeared to the right of them.
"We shall meet here."
The three of them nodded and went their separate ways. Planning to meet one another once a year.
(Earth, 1969)
United States, Los Angeles
A man was sitting in a chair in a Laboratory.
A group of people stood behind the man anxiously.
The man sitting in the chair was named Leonard Kleinrock, and a large machine sat in front of him. Green words were on the screen. "Enter code" was written on top of the screen
Leonard stared back at the people behind him. "This is it. If this message is able to get through to the university of California. This is going to change everything."
Leonard started to type on a keyboard. "L....O..." before he could type anymore. The machine crashed.
"Damn" He growled.
A man named Issac sighed. "Maybe if we give it an hour to cool down...we will be able to try it again." He suggested.
Leonard nodded. "That's our only hope." He whispered.
A phone was heard. Another man named Walter. Raced to the phone on the wall. He answered the call with edge in his voice. "Hello?"
His eyes grew wide at the person on the other line. "Guys...the people over at the universe got the message." He informed them.
Leonard grinned. "Even if that wasn't the full message. This boy is the machine that is going to change everything."
The screen starts to zoom in on the computer. Until 0 and 1's could be seen.
(Digital world)
Paumamon walked silently through a large grassy field. A smile plastered on her face.
A thousand years had passed in the digital world and everything was going smoothly.
She was surprised at first. But the digimon that her and the other gods of creation could undergo a process called evolution. And change into higher levels of power.
The first three digimon were no longer the only digimon on this world anymore.
There were now thousands of digimon. Of many distinct species and varieties. Each of them living in peace and harmony...at least until recently.
About twenty years ago...something went wrong. A few digimon got infected by darkness that could leak from the dark ocean back into the digital world.
It caused those few digimon to become evil. And it changed them.
She knew of seven digimon who know called themselves the demon lords of the digital world.
But they had caused massive damage to this beautiful world. A few digimon stood up to the demon lords and locked them away in separate areas in the digital world.
That Palmon, she had created back in the beginning. Had now become a mega level digimon. She had named herself Miracle. She had become an angel like digimon...who would one day rule the digital world, as the queen.
Tsukaimon and Agumon had also became mega level digimon.
Tsukaimon became a bat like humanoid creature. He named himself Blade. And he would become the king of the digital world. And he would rule alongside Miracle.
Agumon had evolved into a beautiful knight digimon. She was fierce on the battle field, and has vanquished a lot of fowl beast from these lands. Her name was Kalama.
The three of them no longer saw themselves as digimon. But started calling themselves the ancients. Far more powerful than any other digimon in the digital world.
Paumamon was a little concern by this. But she saw no harm in it. The three of them protected the weaker digimon in this world from darkness.
And one day when Mizumon, Azamon, and her decided to rest. She would be pleased to know that they would protect this world in their absence.
She had also learned of other digimon who joined the ranks of the ancient digimon. All powerful mega level digimon. Digimon who had tales of fighting powerful dark beast.
One she knew in the process of fighting a creature of darkness created the sun that was high up in the sky.
While another ancient digimon created the moon and the stars. That only appeared at night.
Paumamon finally arrived at the meeting place of the gods of creation. Waiting inside was Azamon and Mizumon.
"You have finally arrived." Azamon sighed. "We were beginning to think you wouldn't have showed up."
Paumamon shook her head. "Sorry I was caught up."
Mizumon nodded. "Well, let's get onto business."
Azamon sighed once more. "Well I can see that more darkness has started to come from the dark ocean."
Mizumon turn to look at Azamon angrily. "Isn't it your job to keep that darkness back?" He snapped.
"Why yes, it is. But even I can mistake. We aren't perfect."
Mizumon stood up and bawled his fists.
But Paumamon raised a hand. "Please, no violence. There is enough of that with the darkness that is spreading."
Mizumon nodded and sat back down.
Mizumon was sitting in a throne of pure bronze, Azamon sat in a throne made of darkness, while Paumamon made her way to a throne made up of vines and flowers.
Azamon rested his chin on the palm of his hand. "Paumamon any news for us." He asked.
Paumamon hummed to herself. "I have created a few more digimon in the digital world."
Azamon raised an eyebrow. "Is that all?" He asked.
"I have been mostly watching after them. They all interest me. They all go exploring in these vast lands. They want to know more, and they have begun to make cities and towns. And primary village isn't doing that bad either."
Azamon barred his fangs. He slammed his fist on the side of throne. "Why do you sound so happy? We are supposed to be Gods! They are supposed to be graveling at our feet"
Mizumon shook his head. "They are supposed to be equals to us. We decided along ago that we should treat them with respect."
Azamon snarled. "Respect!? If it doesn't mistake me. A digimon named Herculesmon tied you to his boat Mizumon and forced you to make the seas do your bidding. As he sailed to the forbidden islands that we made. The islands that holds one of the ten sacred weapons. Weapons that I remind you can cause order in this world. If it falls in the wrong hands it could cause chaos."
Paumamon frowned. "Herculesmon has already apologized to Mizumon. His attentions were to use the weapon to slay a savage beast. He then returned the weapon and promised to never try to sail back to the island." She informed him.
Azamon turned his head to Paumamon. "Paumamon, surly you could be made at those digimon. They have torn your beautiful land. To make cities and towns. And they have even made deserts, and frosty terrains." He added.
Paumamon smiled softly. "Their creation is just as beautiful as mine. I'm pleased with what those digimon are doing. And in time, I will leave it in their hands to watch over this world. As the three of us go and rest-"
"No." Azamon snarled coldly.
"What do you mean no?" Mizumon asked.
"I will not slumber, when I could rule this world." He bawled his fists. "Can't you see!? They will do any command we tell them. We can make them fear our powers."
Paumamon gasped. "Stop this nuisance! I will no longer have this conversation go any longer."
The room grew quiet.
"Fine" Azamon growled.
Mizumon stepped forward and grabbed Azamon by his right shoulder. He stared into the darkness dragon straight in his eyes. "I swear if you plan to force our creations to serve you." He barred his fangs as he held his crafted sword in his right hand. "You will see me on the battle field." He threatens.
Azamon began to smirk.
"And me" Paumamon added.
Azamon and Mizumon were surprised to hear this from Paumamon. She was a type of person who avoided any violence.
"I will not let you harm any of my children" She growled.
Paumamon viewed every digimon in the digital world as her child. Even though some started to be born without the help of the Gods of creation.
Azamon stood up from his throne. "I understand." He bowed and left the room.
(Night)
Mizumon was in a deep sleep. The sea dragon was under the ocean floor, resting on a bed of coral.
Unseen to any of the aquatic digimon. Azamon swam towards the sea dragon.
The dragon made of darkness placed his hand softly on Mizumon shoulder. Making sure to not wake the fool.
A Gomamon swam by and stopped when he noticed what was going on. He gasped and started to swim towards Mizumon to warn him.
"Oh Mizumon, your foolish fool. The digimon will worship me. And I will be the ruler of this world. No one will stand in my way!"
With this Mizumon started to wake up. But it was too late for him. Chains made of pure darkness wrapped around the water dragon.
"Stop this nuisance Azamon! Let me go!" He roared. "Do you plan to kill me. We can't die." He reminded him.
Azamon laughed evilly. "Kill you?" He snickered. "Oh, dear Mizumon, what I plan to do, to you is far worse." He snapped his fingers as a portal appeared. The dark ocean appeared on the other side.
"I'm banishing you to the dark ocean. There you will be stuck and forever alone. Unable to return to our world."
"This is foolish Azamon!"
Azamon grinned. "I don't believe so." He pushed Mizumon into the portal and closed it with a snap of his fingers.
Gomamon swam away quickly. Wanting to warn Paumamon what he just witnessed.
(Following day)
Paumamon was filled with pain as she learned that Mizumon was banished to the dark ocean. She had no power to bring him back and that just filled her with sadness. She saw Mizumon as a friend, and only wanted him to come back. But she knew that would never happen.
Blade had come to visit her. And suggested that he should end Azamon.
She agreed with his terms. And that bat digimon banished Azamon. Deep beneath the digital world. A place where Paumamon is now calling Tartarus.
With Blade's return. She honored him as the king of the digital world. Blade was honored to hear this and thank Paumamon.
Knowing that she had left the digital world in good hands. Paumamon walked over to a large empty field and rested on the grassy floor. She closed her eyes and started to become one with the digital world. She was finally able to go into the sleep she wanted.
Knowing that peace will finally be able to return to the digital world.
But unknown to her...Blade would be just as villainous as Azamon was. He would be a ruthless king. Destroying any digimon that got in his way.
She would not know the digital world would never return to the state of peace again. Until a group of creatures from another world come to save it...
Those creatures are called humans...more importantly. The first group of digidestined
