(James' P.O.V.)

With help from Skidemon we set my brother on the couch.

"Jeffrey are you okay?" I asked.

Jeffrey slowly open my eyes.

Jeffrey look over at me in a daze. "James...I just had a strange dream...I walked into our house to see a werewolf and a phoenix-"Jeffrey trailed off when he saw Phemon on my shoulder, and Skidemon standing behind me.

Phemon held out his winged hands. "Don't freak out kid. We're not going to hurt you." He informed him.

Jeffrey sat up a little straighter on the couch. "What are you things?" he asked. He didn't mean it in a rude way. He look somewhat curious.

Skidemon crossed his arms over his chest. "Were digimon."

Jeffrey raised an eyebrow. "And a digimon is?" he look over at me to get some answers.

I sweatdrop. Of course my little brother would look at me for more answers instead of asking the digimon themselves. "Digimon are digital creatures from another world." I explained.

Jeffrey blinked. "Okay...I guess."

Jeffrey continue looking back and forth between Phemon and Skidemon. He seem to be very fascinated about the two digimon.

My mother walked into the room with a cup of coffee in clutched hands. She sat down across from my brother and I. She took a deep breath. "I want you to tell me everything that happen while you were in the digital world." She instructed me.

I nodded and took a deep breathe. "It's kind of a long story but okay." With help from Phemon, we explained our short adventure in the digital world with my friends and their digimon partners.

When I was finished my mother was gripping the end of her skirt. Her fists were clenched; tears were streaming down her face. "I didn't want my children to get involved. I thought if I kept them away from as much technology as possible I wouldn't have to worry. Why does my kid have to be chosen to be digidestined? Why couldn't another kid be chosen?" she asked.

Phemon flew over towards her. "You don't have to worry about anything. I would protect James with my life; the sovereigns will not be able to stop us." He informed her as he bawled his winged fist.

My mother shook her head. "Isn't there another way? Why does it have to be James?"

Skidemon snickered at my mother. "It's surprising that you have changed so much when you were little. You used to be so adventures and you ran towards danger."

My mother barred her teeth. "I can't be that little girl anymore! I am a mother of my two children who I don't want to go through the same thing that their father and I had to go through. I...I just don't want to lose...them too." She cried

I watch my mother cry. I didn't now what to say. I didn't want to see my mother be upset. But what could I do?

Skidemon placed a paw on her shoulder. "Don't worry about it Jennifer. I will be there mentor. I will teach them the ropes about being a digidestined. Your son and his friends are in safe hands."

My mother nodded and wipe away the reminder of her tears.

My brother face brighten. "Wait a second if everyone is partner with a digimon. Can I become a digidestined. I want to meet my partner digimon!" He said excitedly.

My mother grew pale at the thought of this.

Skidemon shook his head. "I'm sorry but I think it would be best, that you will stay with your mother."

My brother sighed sadly. "Okay..."

(Few days later)

The past few days were pretty simple. I just had to get reacquainted with school. I would do my classwork and come home with homework. Life was so much easier with digimon around. Skidemon was pretty much a wise jackass. He would never tell you the answer you wanted.... he was still a pretty awesome digimon.

I'm just glad Phemon is here to help me out. The cool part is that their is no digimon attacks. My friends and I can relax here on Earth. Lucky for me tomorrow was a Saturday and not only that but it was Halloween. My friends and I were planning to go to a Halloween party, and we have already decided to dress up for it . We even decided to bring our digimon along with us. The only rule for our digimon companions was that they had to dress up as well.

At this point, I was in my Photoshop class, I was even adobe certified after taking a huge test, which if I missed one more question I would have failed, opps I thought when I saw the score.

i started to grow mad when i was working on a picture of Phemon on my computer. My teacher would always play the same song on Fridays, and the song is Friday by Rebecca Black, I sadly used to like this song, but after every day on Friday's it got old...I growled when she couldn't make up her mind.

"Just pick a stupid seat" I growled and slump my head in on my desk.

I wasn't even looking forward for Halloween anyways, my mother always told me to stay home to look after his brother while she went to a party with some of her coworkers. Even though I had plan to hang out with my friends. I felt bad for boosting my friends enthusiasm about saying I would be able to go with them. I just felt like a liar.

I finally sighed with relief when the song finally ended, and with that the bell rang, I saved my art and turn off the computer. I went over to my desk and grab my blue backpack and slang it over my shoulder. When I went out in the hall, I was greeted with a smiling face.

Crystal stood in front of me with a huge smile.

"Hey James, can't wait for this Saturday?" She asked with a goofy smile.

I sweat drop. I didn't want to hurt my friends feelings about telling her I wouldn't be able to go but I guess I should tell my friends eventually.

"Hey Crystal I won't be able to go to this party."

Crystal's eyes widen. "Wait what!? We have been planning to go to this party for weeks. Why can't you go?" She asked.

I sighed and rubbed my arm. "You know how my mom is. She just wants to make sure I look after my brother." I informed her.

Crystal sighed. "Your right" she mumbled

Zen then snuck up behind us and tap Crystal on the shoulder causing her to jump high in the air. "Don't do that!" she growled at the boy when she turn around back to see it was just Zen.

"Sorry I was just getting into the spirt of Halloween" he laughed.

Crystal's expression changed and she laughed along with her friend. "Cute, so what are you going to be for Halloween Zen?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Zen shake a finger at her. "Oh no, that's a suprise my dear sister."

Crystal smiled and nodded. "Okay I hope I shall be suprised my dear brother."

The two friends laughed. I smiled at the two of them. They got along so well.

Luckily everyone was already gone out of the hallway. Zen then smiled at Crystal and I.

"So ready for the party?" He asked.

Crystal gave a thumbs up. "I was born ready."

I shake my head. Zen was probably going to ask me why but stop when my friends and I notice Cody and Elizabeth walking into the hallway, Elizabeth was wearing a new outfit today. She wore a purple t-shirt and blue jeans.

Elizabeth smiled when she saw me and the others. She had a piece of paper in her hands, and Cody raised an eyebrow at her.

"What's that?' he asked in a confusing manner.

Elizabeth showed him the slip of paper and his eyes open wide when he saw he saw dentation written on the front of it.

"Why did the goodie goodie get detention? He asked.

Elizabeth frowned. "Well you see my shirt was kind of not appropriate for school, looks like my teachers Mrs. Tai does not like the word Hell, so I got in major trouble." She whispered sadly.

We all nodded knowing she was trying to break out of her shell but she did break out of her shell somewhat. Crystal then smiled and asked Elizabeth a random question.

'So what are you going to do for Halloween?" she asked.

Elizabeth shrugs

"Aren't we all a little old for Halloween?" she asked.

"To old?" Cody said like it was the dumbest thing he heard.

"You're never too old for Halloween, and anyways it just a costume party, we go every year besides James..., we go to an old mansion that is run by a rich family, and Amanda will be there." Zen sighed gravely at the mention of Amanda.

All of my friends and I did and by the mention of the devil, the girl came out of the restroom powdering her nose. When she put her kit up in her purse she look up and notice my friends and I looking at her.

"Eww...' she hissed and shoved her nose up in the air, and pass by us and quickly turn back to me.

"What?" I asked

"So are you coming to my party James?" she asked.

I shake my head. "No I have to watch my brother." I muttered, I never really like her. I didn't understand why Jeffrey hung out with her. But somehow the two of them were friends.

Amanda laughed her little rich girl laugh.

"That isn't why your brother Jeffrey said. He said that your mom was allowing you two to go to my party. As long as you two stay together."

My eyes grew wide. This was the first I was hearing about this. And it was pretty cool...somewhat. Amanda was killing the cool factor of it.

Amanda smiled. "So will you save me a dance?" She asked

I raised my eyebrow. Why did she even like me? We never talk to each other, and I always told her on purpose that I really dislike her. Maybe she was only doing this to mess with me.

" Well..."

"It's a deal." She said happily. Amanda laughed as she skipped away.

"Amanda and James sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First come-" Cody had started to sing the tune.

But I have him the death glare. Cody stop singing.

"Well looks like James has a date." Zen teased me.

I groaned. "But why does it have to be with her...?" I asked aloud.

Crystal patted me on the back. "Look on the bright side. It could be worse."

(Jeffrey's P.O.V.)

I was sitting in my friend's room. Specifically Amanda ' s room.

Amanda ' s room was huge. It was about the size of a hotel suite. Her room had a large king size bed. Tons of stuff animals, and a walk in closet that went on for miles. Amanda ' s family was very wealthy.

"What about this?" Amanda asked as she walked out of her closet for the fifth time. She was trying to see what costume she should wear for the party.

She came out of the closet dressed as a Halu girl. I blushed at the sight of her. Amanda has pink roses wrapped around on top of her head. She worse a yellow tan top, and a fake grass skirt.

"It looks beautiful" I whispered.

Amanda nodded. "But do you think your brother would like it?" She asked.

I felt my heart shatter. "Ah... I guess..."

Amanda checked herself in the mirror and shake her head. "I think I'm going to try something else." She muttered as she stomped back into her closet for a diffrent costume.

I sighed in defeat and look over at her desk to see a blue present box. Which caught my eye about it, was the fact that it was my gift to her.

"Hey Amanda, you still haven't open my birthday gift. Your birthday was a week ago." I said loudly.

"Oh I must have forgotten." She called back.

Amanda walked out of the closet wearing an angel costume. She was grinning from ear to ear. "This is perfect. I look like a real angel." She said happily.

I sighed sadly. How could she not see...that I like her...

(James P.O.V.)

It was now finally Saturday. And I was on my way to the party. I was wearing a werewolf costumes over it was a red jacket and jeans.

Phemon walked next to me, he had on a cowboy hat, an old blue shirt and ripped up jeans, he was also able to put his talons in boots so that was a bonus.

"Do I really have to wear this?" Phemon asked looking over at me with disgust.

I nodded.

"You made a deal" I laughed back.

The bird sighed. It took me forever to remove the bird from the living room couch. He wanted to watch Halloween specials on t.v.

I led the bird in the forest until finally we reach an old beaten up brown mansion, the glass seem to be yellow by the dim light from inside. I was about to shout 'come on' but i stop when I heard a cry from behind us.

"Wait up for me guys' my brother shouted from behind us.

My brother Jeffrey ran through some bushes wearing a soldier outfit and some makeup to make him look like a zombie soldier, Skidemon laughed when he saw my brother's costume. He instantly like the idea. he said Jeffrey reminded him of a digimon he once knew, our mother not so much because of our dead dad.

'thanks for holding us up" Phemon sighed but he really meant it he didn't want to show his friends what he was wearing.

I ushered the two of them to follow me into the house, Halloween music played loud over the speakers. I then allowed Jeffrey to run to the dance floor with Phemon, who had to be drag by his wing. The Phoenix didn't look like dancing. I laugh at the bird's horrified expression.

Then I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turn around to see a girl in a vampire outfit. She had long dark black hair with red highlights in her hair, she must have put eye contact lenses in her eyes because there were blood red, and she wore a white dress which was covered in fake blood, she wore white high heels, and a black cloak was drape on her back, and when she open her mouth a set of fake fangs glimmered.

"Bite me" she giggled.

It took a couple of seconds for me to realize that the vampire was Elizabeth, the dead giveaway was her pink digivice on her arm.

"How did you know it was me?" I asked.

Elizabeth showed her fangs but she was smiling.

"I notice your digivice on your wolf arm."

She giggled holding up my arm to my mask.

"Oh...well looks like I need to pay attention more.' I said

"You should if you want to survive in digital world." A voice said loudly behind me.

Miragemon appeared she was wearing a white dress, which glittered every time she moved, she had angel wings on her back, and a halo attach to a metal stick above her rat head.

I laughed and instanly regreatted my decesion. The rat glowered at me.

"Don't make me regret this" the rat growled.

I nodded. "Yes ma'am" I yelled and I saluted her like she was a soldier

The rat nodded and went off to look for Phemon.

"What's up guys?" A voice said.

Elizabeth and I saw Crystal walking over to us. Crystal was wearing a witch costume. It was pretty cool too because she also wore green makeup and had on a mole for an extra touch.

"Hey guys, nice costumes" Crystal said looking between Elizabeth and I.

Glaciamon followed after her wearing amour.

"You dress your digimon like an amour dragon?" Elizabeth asked.

Crystal frowned. "Yeah it was the only outfit that would work. I wanted to dress her up like a knight. But that wouldn't work out with Glaciamon walking around on all fours." She laughed.

"Im going to find the other digimon" Glaciamon whispered to her tamer.

The dragon walked off. The next one to show up was Zen and he was wearing a rainbow t-shirt and rainbow jeans and his rainbow sneakers.

"This again?" I asked.

Zen nodded. "I don't really have time to shop, so I'm showing my true colors" he said.

Reymon levitating from behind his tamer and My friends and I notice he was wearing a black cloak, and he held a long scythe in his right paw. He look like the grim Reaper. Which was a little funny due to Reymon being incredibly shy.

"Hi" he said shyly.

We all wave to the ghost digimon and he levitated away to look for his friends. The last one to show up was Cody he was wearing a Megaman costume, next to him was Panthemon.

The tiger was wearing purple jeans and standing on his hind paws, he wore black boots and a weird tiger design cape drape his shoulders, he had his paws on his hips when he walked over to us. The tiger digimon laughed at us weirdly.

"I am tiger mask, the best Japanese boxer In Japan" he laughed once more and ran off.

Crystal eyes were wide with embarrassment for knowing the little tiger digimon. We all turn to Cody.

"He is watching an anime called tiger mask, and that's what he wanted to be for Halloween, I couldn't get him to change his mind, he been acting like this for hours" Cody sighed putting a hand to his head.

Zen put a hand on his friend shoulder.

"He will grow out of it, hopefully" Zen laughed.

Cody moved away from Zen not wanting people around him thinking anything was between them.

The light in the house went out as quick as a flash from thunder and a light went up to the stage, my friends and I digivices started to beep crazily.

Zen look panic as he exchanged looks between all of us. "You guys don't think?!"

A women stepped on stage and people around the stage started to scream a women in a black dress walk on stage, her face was like glass it had creaks here and there, she was bald, her teeth was orange and red from blood. Elizabeth's digivice went off. "Marymon is a champion level digimon in human history there was a human once named Mary a daughter of King Henry viii. She uses her powers to make people to live their worst nightmares or turn them into creatures of the night, on the night of the holiday that humans call Halloween." Elizabeth digivice turned off with a beep and the women smiled at the crowd of people.

"Hello kiddies, listen up when I say this spell the ones who aren't acting like total creeps. I will know who the kids I'm looking for." She cackled like a witch.

My friends and I started to run through the crowd of people holding up our wrist.

"Digivice' we cried. A loud beep echo throughout the house louder then the music in the background.

The women saw my friends and I. she held her arms above her head.

"Demons wish" she laughed.

"I wish all of these embossers become who they are making fun off" she laughed and light hit every kid their changing them to whatever their costume was.

(Jeffrey's P.O.V)

The digimon and I were on the dance floor. We were having a blast dancing. This was my first time at a Halloween party and I must say. I was having a blast.

I wonder when Amanda would show up. I really hope I could ask her for a dance.

Phemon and his friends were watching me break out on the dance floor when it happen people around us started to change to actual monsters.

"What the hell is happening?" Phemon asked looking around the room seeing real werewolves, vampires and ghost.

Miragemon turn to see me perfectly normal, I as well notice the changes in everyone appearance. " What is happening?" I asked the digimon. Hopefully they knew the answer.

The digimon just shock their head not knowing what was going on.

Then we heard a girl scream, we saw Amanda running towards us, she was wearing the angel outfit from ealier, her pink dress seem to ripple in the light.

"Help me" she cried. She wrapped her arms around me.

"Jeffrey you're ok?" she asked.

I nodded. Marymon walked from her monsters and saw Amanda and I.

"So you are the kids I am looking for" she laughed.

"What do you want with us?" I asked.

Marymon showed us a wicked smile. "Oh you two will find out soon enough." She laughed.

Amanda hid her face in my chest. She was really terrified of the digimon.

The digimon around us knew this lady was a digimon in an instant they made a wall around Amanda and I. "Stay away from them" Panthemon growled barring his fangs.

The women laughed and snap her fingers and a werewolf, vampire, a Witch, a zombie with rainbow clothing, and a Megaman, with a closer glance the digimon knew these were their digidestineds.

"Crystal?" Glaciamon asked the witch. The witch fired a blast of fire at the dragon who sidestep just in time.

Marymon laughed at the digimon in front of her.

"Finally the great legends will fall for once and for all, you will be consume by the dark manna in your hearts' she laughed and the digimon before her looking confused.

Hell I was a little lost too. James or Skidemon never spoke about digimon called the legends.

"What are you...talking about were not...the legends of old" Reymkn stuttered hiding behind Amanda and I instead of protecting us.

'Yes if you didn't know you better believe it, why would Azulongmon even care about you at all? Thats why he kept you all prisoners so you wouldn't be able to digivolve with elements.' She chuckled.

The digimon looked surprised.

"How are we going to beat her if she is champion level" Miragemon growled.

Phemon thought about it for a second and then the bird seem to get an idea. His eyes seem to light up. Phemon then stood his ground and yelled.

"Fire charge override digivoulation" he shouted.

The werewolf winced when fire rage out of his digivice and hit the bird digimon.

"Phemon fire charge digivovle to... Blazemon" he chirped.

The other digimon looked at the bird next to him and turn to their tamers and nodded.

"Ice charge override digivoulation" Glaciamon yelled.

"Darkness charge override digivoulation" Reymon growled.

"Wind charge override digivoulation" Panthemon snarled.

"Light charge override digivoulation" Miragemon said.

The monsters winced or cowered when elements burst out of their digivices and hit their digimon.

"Glaciamon ice charge digivovle to...Frostamon!" she sighed dreamily.

"Reymon Darkness charge digivovle to... Kitsunemon" he snarled fangs barred.

"Panthemon wind charge digivovle to.... Tigremon" he cheered and held his boxing glove out.

"Miragemon light charge digivovle to...Urielmon" she giggled flying in the air.

Marymon growled thinking those digimon wound't be able to reach champion level without their tamers helping them but looks like they thought of everything now of days.

"I am not the one you will be fighting" she giggled.

She snap her fingers and the monster tamers ran toward their digimon jumping on them or tackling them, the digimon didn't want to hurt their tamers in this state, they didn't know what could happen to them. Blazemon tried to throw the werewolf off him but it was worthless trying, the werewolf was keeping a hold of the bird, the same with the other digimon with their own monster problems.

Marymon took this to her advantage and walked over to Amanda and I. I put an protective arm over Amanda so the witch would have to go through me first. Amanda screamed, and tried to run away but an invisible forth kept her from running away. I just couldn't believe my eyes that my brother and his friends were actual monsters, and they were attacking their digimon.

Marymon laughed when she reach the two of us. She held up her hand and a green portal open up. She threw Amanda and I inside and we were sent spiraling threw.

(James P.O.V)

Marymon cackled and followed through but before she did this she clap her hands and all of the monsters in the room change back into humans. I found myself on Blazemon trying to choke him. "Gosh, what I'm i doing?" I asked. Blazemon pushed me off him and in blast of elements all of our digimon turn back to their rookie forms.

"What happen?" Crystal asked looking around at the confused faces of all the kids in the house.

"Guys where Jeffrey and Amanda at?' Cody asked looking around.

Miragemon held a paw to her head.

"Guys Marymon was able to take them through a portal, the sovereigns were after them, we don't know why but they were, they have them both" she sighed.

My friends and I grew silent. I felt responsible for this. I...I was supposed to be looking after my brother....and I allowed him to be kidnap....

"What's going to happen to them?" Zen whispered the question Outloud.
