I walked casually around my king's castle. I just heard from a scout from the digital world. That the last legend from the past has revealed themselves. That would mean that my king's plans were going as plan. Now we only had to wait for those legends and sovereigns to go biting at one another's throats. The only bad part of that was Baihumon deciding to join the side of the legends.

I knew Azulongmon would never side with the legends. The old dragon foul still believed that the high chandler was going to be making him a king in the new world.

I smirked at the thought of the war, which was bound to come. There was no way it could be avoided. When the war was over, I knew for sure that the digital world would be destroyed by Digimon themselves. The high chandler or I wouldn't have to do anything in the destruction of the digital world.

I walked towards the throne room. I was requested by my king. I needed to be there as soon as possible, I heard from one of the maids who worked for the high chandler.

I smirked as I wonder what my king wanted me to do. For some reason I had a small feeling that he wanted me to visit the legends after all this time. I finally had my own time to have a fight against those old powerful Digimon of the digital world. I can finally test their strength and see how strong they truly were.

I walked in front of the golden doors of the throne room. I open the doors to the throne room and entered. The high chandler sat in his throne of bones. He was looking out the window in oblivion. The high chandler's castle was flouting in the middle of nothingness of his new world. Nothing could be done to this oblivion until both the Earth and the digital world were destroyed.

I was the first creation the high chandler created. He made me his knight, I would end the lives of all of his enemies that crossed him, or got into his path.

I walked in front of my king and got down on one knee in front of him. "I heard you were asking for me my king. Is this true?" I asked looking up at him waiting for his answer.

The high chandler placed his hand under his chin and nodded. "Yes, I was asking for you Shadow dragon. I don't know if you heard but all of the legends have returned." He said bored, he must have thought that his plans were going as plan, and he wouldn't have to worry about them.

I nodded at my king. "Yes my king, I do realize all the legends have returned. Is there anything you have plan for them?" I asked tilting my head in confusion.

The high chandler nodded. 'Yes I plan to send them a greeting. I want you to go to Azulongmon's final general and inform him that the digidestined are on there way to his location. With that done I want you to go after those teenagers yourself. Greet them with open arms and try to kill as much of them as you can possibly can."

I smiled at this plan. I could finally test the legends abilities in fighting. I could finally see who was stronger the legends or me. The only way I could possibly know, is if I fight them all at once.

"When should I leave?" I asked. "Should I leave right now, or some time later?"

The high chandler sighed. "I suggest that you should leave this instant. You will be able to avoid Azulongmon's army forces moving into the rebellion's base. I heard from Azulongmon himself that he instructed his forces to destroy anything that gets in their path.

I nodded. I barred my fangs as I grin ear to ear. "I will leave right away sir." I bowed in front of him and left the throne room. Today was going to be a fantastic day for me. More deaths for my blade to taste. I walked through the hallways. I continue for a while until I reached a room with two white door. The gateway from this castle into the digital world. I open the doors with a strong push and I walked through the doors.

A blinding white light surrounded me until I walk into a wide forest. Trees surrounded me from all sides. Plants of all shapes and colors grew around the forest floors. I could hear the sound of Digimon nearby. I grinned around the forest.

This place will be destroyed soon enough, soon my king will destroy the digital world. And be able to create a new world in his image. I wonder how the species of creatures he would make on his new world would look like. The subjects that would follow his every word. There would be no on to be able to stop our reign of destruction.

I started to walk through the forest, looking around for any sign of any Digimon. I still had to be careful however. I didn't want to run into any wild Digimon, there were indeed some strong Digimon in the digital world, and not many of them but a few would even be able to destroy me if I wasn't careful.

I also had to be careful of Azulongmon's army, I once met them and made them work for hours on end. Not allowing to have any breaks in their training. For three days in a row, I knew how to get people exhausted.

Then a thought crossed my mind as I continue walking through the trees. I mean I knew I was like a dragon humanoid creature. But what was I truly? My king never really told me, how I was created. He told me I was created by himself, but I didn't know what kind of species I was fully. I didn't belong to either Earth or the digital world. Where was I from? How did he even create me in the first place?

I felt a slight tug on my tail. At first I thought that my tail could have gotten caught in between some twigs or something, but when I turned around I was shocked to see what was in front of me.

A four year old boy was playfully tugging on my tail. He was a human I could tell, there was no Digimon that look this human. The boy was African American, he had hazel eyes and he was smiling as he played with my tail. He wore a purple t-shirt with a mouse like creature picture in the middle of his shirt, and black shorts. The boy was barefoot. His hair was short and black.

"Who the hell are you?" I asked angrily which surprised the boy causing him to fall on his butt. He was shocked that I answered him. I didn't see a digivice in his hand, or make one out hanging on his pocket. No Digimon was around to be his partner. So I wonder how this boy even escaped the destruction of his world.

The portals were specially made for the use of digidestinied only. That is why we destroyed the Earth in the manner we did. The weak humans who weren't partner with Digimon were left to die.

The boy blinked as he stared up at me. "Sorry mister." He said sadly looking down at his feet.

I tilted my head. "Where is your Digimon?" I asked.

The boy grinned and pointed up at me. "You are." He chuckled.

I raised my eyebrow. "I am no Digimon kid."

The boy was now the one to be confused. "But if you are not a Digimon. What are you?" he asked.

I barred my fangs at him. "I don't need to answer any of your questions brat. Now answer my question, who are you!" I yelled at him.

The boy got up from where he was sitting and back away a little. "Sorry, I just wanted to see if you wanted to be friends.... I am all alone. I don't know where I am..." He whispered sadly.

I rolled my eyes. I didn't have time to talk this child. I had to get out of this area before Azulongmon's army came into this forest to destroy it. They would probably burn it to the ground. But that made me think, I couldn't leave him here. I had to find where his caretaker was. Who was taking care of him, if it was a Digimon or a human? I need to get this human out of my hair, even though I had none.

"Come on kid." I gestured for him to follow me.

He smiled and raced over to me. "You know mister, you look pretty cool."

I sighed angrily. I didn't know that this day would change to the worst with this kid getting in my way. I didn't know I would have to baby sit.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I never really seen a dragon before. But you are pretty cool, your scales are cool. Your armor is wicked, and that sword is really amazing." He complimented.

I continue walking with the boy for a while. He walk by my side. He was walking close to me. He would look up at me so often with wonder in his eyes. This kid weirded me out, it was strange that he was all alone in the exact location I came into the digital world. Where was this boy's parents? Or his Digimon partner?

"So what is your name?" he asked with a smile with his arms behind his back. I told him earlier to not touch anything at the moment because we were walking in the part of the forest. Where if anything touched the plants on the side we were walking on got touch, they would wrap their vines around the victim and eat them alive. The digital world was pretty interesting.

"If I answer your question? Will you answer my question in who are you?" I asked.

The boy put a hand on his chin and thought about it for a minute. The four year old seem to have been playing a game with me earlier. He was trying to avoid his name but I had no clue why he would want to do so.

The boy shrugged. "I guess so but you first." He instructed with a grin.

I sighed in annoyance in this kid's enthusiasm but I decided to answer his question just to keep him happy. "My name is Shadow dragon, now what is yours?"

The boy look at me with confusion. "Shadow dragon?" He asked. "That doesn't sound like a name at all."

I nodded at him. "Yes my name is Shadow dragon, which is the name that my creator decided to give me when I was made by him. " I then smirked and asked. "What? Do you think my name should be then?" I asked.

The boy shrugged and rubbed his face. He was thinking about this for a while but then he put a finger in the air excitedly. "How about Shade?" he asked with a smile.

I was surprised how quick he came up with the name. It didn't seem that bad at all. I kind of like It actually. "I guess Shade will be a good enough name. Now you answer my question kid. Who are you?" I asked.

The boy sighed seem to be defeated. His little game was finally over. "My name is Micah, I really don't know how I entered this world. All I know is that I got separated from my parents when I got sucked into my computer and I ended up in these woods. A Digimon told me that I was in the digital world, and said that it might be possible that I have a Digimon partner" He informed me. He then pointed a finger at me. "So I thought my partner could be you Shade."

I shake my head. So I wouldn't be able to find any Digimon, or human to look after him. I guess I could just take him to the rebellion headquarters and drop him off nearby. But I didn't want to run in the way of Azulongmon's army, also I didn't want to be caught in the sights of the people there. Not just yet, I have plans what to do after I am done with the legends.

"I told you kid, I am no Digimon."

Micah shrugged and once again tried to grab my tail to play with it, but I raised my tail high enough for him not to be able to reach. I barred my fangs as I stared at him. "Listen brat -"

"It's Micah." He interrupted.

"I seriously do not care! You are coming along with me. Okay whatever I say you will follow, no questions asked. You got that?" I asked.

Micah nodded. "Sure thing Shade. Where are we going to go?" He asked with a friendly smile.

I groaned. This was going to be a long day. This wasn't what I was expecting. All I thought was going to happen was. That I go meet up with the general and fight with the legends. But that doesn't seem like it's going to happen any time soon. This kid was going to hold me back, and there was no way I could get rid of him.

"Just follow me." I instructed me.

Micah nodded and ran towards me so he could walk by my side.

We walked for a while. I would look around us to make sure that there was no Digimon that was going to attack us. I didn't need to waste any of my energy fighting a Digimon. We weren't that far away from meeting the general.

The kid was quiet for most of the walk. If he would try to talk to me I would snarl at him, which would silent him quickly. I didn't want to talk to him. If I was able to find someone to take care of him. I would be able to leave him.

Micah look up at me after a while. "Hey shade..."

I snarled but the kid continued anyways.

"Who are you going to try to meet up with?" he asked.

"A friend." I mumbled.

Micah blinked. "I didn't think you had any friends." He muttered.

I rolled my eyes. "What made you think that?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

He shrugged. "The way you act. You just seem to try your hardiest to push me away. I am just trying to be your friend. And you try you hardiest to say to I am a pain to you."

I look away from him. "Kid you don't want to be my friend."

Micah look down at his feet. "But I do want to be friends with you Shade." He whispered.

I look down at the four year old with a quizzical look. I stopped and look down at him. "Why?" I asked.

He grinned up at me. "Because I am your tamer, and you're my Digimon partner!"

I groaned in annoyance. When will this kid get that I am not a Digimon. I am...well I don't know what I was. But I wasn't a Digimon, if he knew what I was, or what I have done. He wouldn't want me to be his Digimon. He would probably not want to see me again.

"Come on brat, let's keep on going." I continue down the path we are on and kept my head forward as we walk through the woods.

Micah crossed his arms over his chest as he pouted. "My name is Micah..." He mumbled. "You don't seem that smart if you keep on calling me brat or kid..." He whispered.

"What did you say kid!?" I snapped at him.

"Nothing!" He yelled quickly. A little terror was on his face.

I chuckled at his fear and continue walking.

We stop when we reached a small pond in the middle of the clearing. Micah look down at the pond. He clapped his hands. "Are we going fishing?" he asked.

I sighed as I rested a hand over my face. Gosh this kid was very excited over small things. Wasn't he? I shake my head and look down at him. "There is a large city underneath the water's surface. So without any more questions let's go to the city." I instructed.

The boy gave me a curious look. "But we won't be able to breath under water. Would we? Or is this different in this world. Will we be able to breathe under water in this world?" he asked excitedly. The boy look down at the water curiously.

Would this boy just get a grip? How could he be so fascinated at this world? This world should be destroyed along with its filth. I wonder if I told the high chandler if I could keep this boy alive. So I could show him how much better the new world was going to be better than this one and Earth.

"Kid, this pond has breathable air for Digimon and humans alike. So you don't have to worry about drowning." I said as I look down at him. He look up at me with excitement. He must have thought it was extremely cool or something.

His eyes showed amazement. He held up his fists as he started to walk towards the water. "Come on Shade, let's go. I want to see how the underwater city looks like!" he exclaimed. He started to swim into the water and swam around. He look back at me and smiled. "Come on Shade, let's get going."

I rolled my eyes and jumped into the water. I gestured for him to swim over to me. "Kid, there is going to be stairs a few feet below us. Swim right next to me and we will both make it there. Don't go swimming around off course. I don't need you being taken away by a Digimon, and then have to worry about saving you." I instructed him.

Micah smiled and nodded at me. "Don't worry Shade, I understand." He waved me off

"Don't forget, you can breathe underwater. So don't worry about holding your breath."

Micah nodded.

We both went underwater and started to swim in the light blue water. I could start making out fish swimming around us.

Micah stared at the colorful fish around us. 'Cool" He whispered as he poked a green one. The fish swam away quickly. Probably scared that Micah was a predator or something.

I look to the right of us to see a huge city. The city was made of seaweed green buildings. Bright lights reflected off the building making the city seem to glow around the area.

A few sea like Digimon swam around the location. They seem to be preparing for something. A few of them pulled on crates filled with supplies ranging from food to weapons.

Micah stopped swimming when he notice a small Gomamon swim in front of him. The rookie level Digimon waved at the four year old.

"Hey there." The rookie level said in a childish voice.

Micah eyes grew wide when he look at the sea creature. "Hey." He waved at the sea mammal.

"Do you want to play a game?" The Gomamon asked happily

Micah look ready to swim off but I grabbed the boy's arm. "Get out of our way creature." I snarled.

The Gomamon eyes grew wide. "Oh sorry." He whispered as he swam away.

"Hey why couldn't I play with him?" Micah asked.

I barred my fangs and snarled at him. "Do you even remember a word I told you earlier?" I asked. "I told you to follow me. Don't get distracted, I need to meet someone. I can't get caught up with your wants brat."

Micah nodded slowly. "I understand Shade...Let's keep on going."

We swam for what felt like minutes until we reached gray stairs. Micah and I got onto the staircase and look at one another.

The boy grinned. "Well let's keep on going. I can't wait until we get to the city. I wonder what we will find there!" He chuckled.

I rolled my eyes. How was this kid still happy? I yelled at him like every few seconds. And still tried he being my friend.

We continue walking through the stairs. In minutes we reached the city. Digimon off all kinds walked around the city.

A few aquatic Digimon stood behind stores, and holding up merchandise.

"Get your aquatic burgers here!" A penguin Digimon yelled towards us.

"If you are looking for sights, take a tour with Neptunemon and pirate tour. Dinner and a show." A frog like Digimon said. It had a trumpet around its neck.

Micah pointed to the frog and then look at me with a smile. "Can we go Shade!?' he asked as he pulled on my tail.

I barred my fangs. "What did I tell you about my tail?" I asked.

Micah frown. "Sorry I forgot..."

I sighed angrily and continue walking. Micah held his head down as he followed after me. I had no idea where I was supposed to meet up with this general Digimon. He could be anywhere in this city, I knew this general was planning to take over this city. There has been rumors that this city was supporting the legends return.

Micah coughed and I turned to him. "What?" I asked.

"Why do you act like that?" He asked.

I raised my eyebrow. "Act like what?"

"You just seem to be so negative. Can't you try being friendly?" He asked with a smile.

"Kid...can you try being quiet?" I asked.

Micah nodded.

I sighed and look around for the city. I guessed I would recognize this Digimon once I saw him. I had no clue as I thought before. Where I should look first. He could be anywhere in this city, and it was so large.

I noticed a few Digimon looking at me with anger. They probably recognized me, but I could also noticed shock on their faces. Possibly from that kid walking right next to me. He was going to ruin my reputation. I chuckled a little at this thought.

Micah tripped and landed face first into some aquatic pie. When Micah lifted his face from the pie, pink color frosting covered his face.

I burst out laughing at the sight of this.

Micah laughed along with me.

I realized what I was doing and caught myself. "Get yourself up. I don't want to be late." I instructed him.

"Okay."

Micah got up from the ground and followed after me. We both walked around a while until I noticed a small brown shop. The shop was about the size of a barn. It was painted a cherry brown color, on the front door was a symbol of a trident. Something about this place caught my interest.

"Come on kid." I instructed him to follow me.

Micah followed after me. We both walked to the store. I open the door to the store and we both walked in.

We walked into the shop to see shelfs covered in many different weapon merchandise. Coming to hammers, swords, and many other weapons. I should check this place out before I left.

Micah look to the right of the store to see a shark like Digimon. The shark was a tamien level Digimon. I could tell from the energy that radiated off of him. The shark was a humanoid like creature. It skin texture was gray. It wore a purple like robes, and in its hands was a huge net that it must have been working on.

"Hello, are you a customer?" the shark Digimon asked.

I shake my head. 'No, but I was wondering if you are working for Azulongmon?" I asked.

The shark grinned and put the net down on the shelf. "So I guess you must be Shadow dragon?" he asked.

I nodded. "Yes that is me. I was sent by the high chandler to inform you that those tamers who are partnered with the legends are coming to this area." I informed him.

The shark nodded. 'I heard that myself. My troops have already infiltrated this city. It will be only a matter of time that this city will be under control by me. And it will be for Azulongmon. Anyways...why did you bring a four year kid along with you?" he asked in confusion pointing to Micah who stood next to me.

The boy look terrified when he stared at the shark Digimon. He hid behind me, but he stared so he would be able to look over my arm.

"You see this kid was found near the portal." I informed him.

The shark look confused. "Shouldn't we get rid of him?" he asked. "He could be a tamer, if he finds his digimon he would possibly join the side of the legends."

Micah look up at me with worry.

I sighed. "I am not going to kill him. I just came here to tell you the information." I said as I walked away.

Micah followed after me.

We left the store.

Once outside we walked through the city. I was still wondering what I could do with this kid. I needed to find a tamer, or a digimon that could watch over him.

"Hey I think I found a tamer!" A male voice shouted behind me.

I look behind me to see a tan looking dog running in our direction. It was about the size of a full grown dog. It had purple ears and a purple tail. The dog stopped in front of us.

"Hey there. My name is Labramon." He introduce himself as he waved at Micah and I.

"Hey Labramon! Where are you?" A female voice asked.

Labramon turn in the direction of the voice and put his paw over his mouth. "I am over here."

Just then a teenage girl walked out from a corner shop. She look to be about sixteen years old. She had red hair that was put in a ponytail. It was held together by a black hair tie. She had hazel eyes and a small smile across her face. She was wearing a pink t-shirt with a Minnie mouse picture in the middle of the shirt. She also wore tan shorts and red sneakers. On her shoulder was a black purse. On the purse strap was a white digivice.

"Labramon why did you run off?" she asked.

Labramon eyes drop. "Sorry, I just saw this human." He said pointing to Micah. "So I thought this creature could be his digimon partner." He said now pointing at me.

I groaned and held up my hand. "I am not his digimon-"

I was interrupted by the girl. "Hi my name is Skylar Ruby, and this is my partner Labramon who you already met." She said as she introduce herself and her partner. She placed a hand on her hip as she stared at the dog.

"I am really sorry Skylar. I wasn't trying to run away from you." He mumbled.

Skylar smiled at the dog. "I know Labramon. I am not mad at you." She said with a smile.

Labramon smiled back at her. "I am glad that you're not mad."

Micah waved at her. He ran up at her. 'Hi Skylar, my name is Micah." He introduce himself.

Skylar smiled down at him. "Nice to meet you Micah." She smiled as she look over at me. "So are you his digimon partner?' she asked.

She placed a hand on top of Micah's head as she look over at me.

Micah look up at Skylar sadly. He already knew what I answer I was about to give.

"I am not a digimon. And I am certainly not this boy's digimon partner." I snarled.

Labramon snarled at me. "Hey Skylar was just asking a question. You don't have to go snapping at her."

I rolled my eyes and was about to say something but Skylar raised her hand. "Hey don't worry about it. I make mistakes." She look down at Micah. "So where is your digimon?" she asked.

Micah look down sadly. "I don't have one." He whispered.

Skylar look confused she look at Labramon. Who had the same confusion as her. "How did he escape the destruction of Earth? If he isn't a digidestined?' she asked in a whisper to her digimon so Micah couldn't hear her.

Labramon shrugged. "I have no clue, Skylar. Maybe we could help." He suggested.

I nodded. "Yes maybe you can take him out of my hands." I growled as I pushed the kid closer to her.

Skylar raised her eyebrow. "Why are you trying to leave me with him?" she asked.

I barred my fangs. "Because he is not my problem. I was trying to get him out of danger and now that he is. I don't have to worry about him anymore." I growled.

Micah look at me with sadness in his face. "Shade can you please-"

"Just leave me alone brat!" I growled and turn away from him. I sighed angrily and walk away. This had to be the most annoying day of my life. At least I have informed the general, and now I could finally fight the legends, and possibly kill one of them off.

'Hey Labramon give me a second. You watch after Micah." Skylar voice came from behind me.

I continue to walk away. I thought that she must have tried to buy something to comfort the crying baby but then I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I turned around quickly to face Skylar. She was looking at me with an angry look.

"Okay listen here mister. I don't care who the hell you are." She snarled. "But you do realize that kid is your responsibility. I do believe in something called destiny and if you ran into him. There is a reason behind it. Until you can find his parents or someone that knows him. You should take care of him. You shouldn't throw all the reasonability at someone else." She said as she poke my chest plate. "If you need help taking care of him, until you find someone to take proper care of Micah. Labramon and I will be willing to help." She informed me.

I growled. "Fine."

Skylar smiled. "That is good. Also try to lighten up a little. He is four. You don't have to let your grumpiness about a war going on, ruin this little boy's time in the digital world." She exclaimed. "My first time in the digital world was such a great adventure, so try to not ruin it for him. I know you're not his digimon, but can you try being kinder to him?" she asked as she smiled at me once more.

I rolled my eyes. "Sure whatever."

I walked back with Skylar. To see that Micah was laughing at Labramon who was currently acting like he was a pirate. The dog digimon was walking on top of the fountain. The dog wore an eyepatch, a pirate like hat, and blue robes. "Argg!" He shouted.

Skylar giggled a little when she saw her digimon partner dressed up this way. "That is adorable."

Labramonn grinned a little. "Time to walk the plate lassie." He said as he pointed a claw towards Skylar.

Skylar held up her hands. "Oh no! Please don't do that. If you're not careful, my boyfriend will come and save me." She laughed.

Labramon laughed. He stopped with his act. "Joe being your hero? Whoa that's a laugh." He said as he clutched his stomach as he rolled over in laughter.

Skylar narrowed her eyes. "Okay Labramon that's enough."

I sighed angrily. "Can we just get going?" I asked.

Skylar look back at me with a questioning look. "What's the rush?" She asked.

Micah look over at her. "Shade said he has something important to do."

Skylar nodded and look back at me. "So what is this 'important' thing you have to do?" she asked.

I shrugged. "Let's get going." I growled.

Skylar look over at Labramon. The dog digimon shrugged. "Sure let's get going" Skylar said with a smile.

I walk through the city Micah following after me, with Skylar and her digimon partner trailing behind us.

Micah look over to me. "So, where to next Shade?" He asked.

I sighed, I didn't know if I should just ignore him or not. Or did what Skylar suggested. "Kid, were going to be heading somewhere I can get rid of a little problem." I informed him.

"Like a bug infestation?" he asked.

"Pretty much." I said.

"Hey Shade."

"What is it now kid?" I asked.

"You know, I know that you don't want to take care of me. If you want you can just leave me alone here." He informed me.

I didn't know what to say. Should I just leave him here but something inside me held me back. "I don't want that kid." I placed a hand on his shoulder. "I am going to help find you find either your parents or someone who will take care of you."

Micah grinned up at me. "Thanks Shade."

"Don't mention it. Let's keep on going." I suggested.

Micah nodded and quickly walked by my side.

I look out of the corner of my eyes to see that Skylar had seen what I just did. She was smiling at me. She must have thought that I started to care about the kid. I was just trying to do what she said.

We walked back to the staircase once more. Once there the four of us started to walk up the stairs.

"Hey Shade!" Skylar called out. "So where are we going anyways?" She asked.

I look back at the girl. "I was planning to visit some old friends." I lied, I couldn't come out that I was planning to kill digidestined, plus the legend of old. That would spark Skylar and Labramon to fight me. IF Micah saw the fight between the legends and I. He will defiantly see me as a monster...but is that what I wanted?

I was started to have doubts about this. Come on Shade get a grip. You killed millions of humans. What do I even care if another one saw me as a monster? I even killed the angel of digivoultion Calumon. Why do I even care?

We walked to the final step and walked out of the water back on land. We weren't even soak with water.

Skylar shake her head. "The digital world is such a strange place." She mumbled.

Labramon shrugged. "What I can say. Its home." The dog chuckled. He was still wearing his pirate costume.

Micah look up at me with a grin. "Let's get going Shade." He said.

I smiled down at him. And gestured forward.

The boy nodded and raced off. "Micah!" I called out. I didn't know why I yelled out for him, but I did.

Suddenly something swoop down and grabbed Micah's shoulders with its talons.

Skylar eyes grew wide. "Micah!" She shouted.

Labramon raced forward. "Retriever G!" He yelled as he started to bark loudly. The ground underneath started to shake as the dog in front of us started to bark. A beam of yellow soundwaves struck the flying digimon in the back.

The bird like digimon swopped back. Micah was yelling his head off. The kid look like he was praying that the creature wouldn't drop him. "Can someone help me?!" Micah yelled.

Skylar cupped her hands over her mouth. "Don't worry Micah! We will help you!!!" She screamed.

Labramon nodded. "Don't worry we got him."

The bird like digimon swooped to a tree ledge and let go of Micah leaving him about ten feet in the air. "Hey is it bad to let you all know now. That I am scared of heights." He shouted as he pushed his back against the tree trunk, holding on for dear life.

"Don't worry Micah!" Labramon called out.

I watched as the beast landed in front of us. The beast was about four feet tall and walked on four feet. It wasn't fully a bird digimon, but it had wings that's for sure. It's was a fusion digimon, which posed the head, wings, and forelegs of a bird digimon. It had the body of a lion, with a snake-like tail.

"It's Gryphonmon!" Skylar called out. "He is a mega level digimon, we have to be careful." She announced.

I barred my teeth as I pulled my sword out of my holster. "Don't worry about me, worry about yourself." I whispered as I raced forward with my sword held near my body. I pounced into the air and snarled before I stabbed my sword in the beast's chest.

Gryphonmon snarled and slammed his claw into my chest.

I growled as I was pushed backwards.

I held out my right hand quickly as a blast of darkness flew from my hand. The griffon digimon was sent sprawling backwards.

The griffon caught himself when he open his wings and balance himself. "No one will get in my way of me and my meal.' The griffon yelled. "Solo roar!" He started to roar loudly. I yelled out in pain when I felt the strength of the roar of the frequency. When I look at my body I noticed that my body was changing into purple data. I felt pain throughout my body.

"Labramon!" Skylar yelled.

When I look behind me I could see the dog holding his chest. He was dealing with the same problem. His body was disrupting, he was turning into pink data.

The griffon smiled and flew towards me.

"Shade!" Micah yelled.

I tried to move but I was stuck where I was. I couldn't move. Whatever the griffon did, it caused me to stay stuck where I was.

"Legendary blade!" The griffon yelled. He lashed out with his snake tail. The snake's mouth open and it bit down on my shoulder.

I fell backwards as I felt the fangs of the viper sink into my shoulder.

"Shade!" Skylar and Micah yelled in unison.

Skylar took off her digivice on her purse and held it out in front of her. "Labramon you need to help!" She exclaimed.

Labramon nodded and raced forward. "Got it!" He exclaimed.

Skylar's digivice was shown around a black screen. Labramon's name was shown quickly running across the screen in many different languages, until digivoultion scrolled across the digivice, and underneath it was Seasarmon. The digivice let off a bright yellow light and a digital space was shown. Blue tiles started to spin around in midair until Labramon was shown with his paws held up above his head. "Labramon digivovle too..." The blue tiles started to surround him. The blue tiles finished surrounded him and turned into a white orb. It flew straight up into the air and seem to grow larger, yellow lights flashed around it. The orb was broken when a paw broke through and a digital figure appeared. A golden ring of light flew down and seem to dissolve the data away from a lion like digimon. The lion roared loudly as it stood on its four paws. "Seasarmon!" He roared as golden arrows surrounded him.

"Sun's courage!" Seasarmon yelled as he pounce into the air. Millions of golden arrows appeared around him. Then suddenly the arrows were launched forward at the griffon. The griffon tail let go of my shoulder and the griffon cried out in pain as the arrows were pierced into his skin and feathers.

I got up from where I had fallen and grabbed my sword which was knocked out of my hands when the griffon attacked me with his tail.

"Shade are you okay?" Micah asked.

"Don't bother me right now brat. I got this." I shouted. I spread my wings and flew towards the griffon. I slashed the griffon across his mask, and the griffon lashed out its snake tail. I dodge the blow and came back with a quick blow with a blast of darkness.

The griffon skidded backwards. Seasarmon took this time to run forward with his fangs barred. "My turn." He snarled as he raised his claws.

"You got this Seasarmon!" Skylar yelled encouraging her digimon.

The griffon turn around quickly with his claws yelled out in front of him. "Legendary claws!" He roared. The griffon flew towards the lion and started to slash him quickly. The slashes were so quick that the griffon seem to become a blur of energy and light. The griffon finished his attack with a quick slash with his tail and Seasarmon was sent falling backwards into the ground.

"Seasarmon!" Skylar screamed. She ran towards her fallen partner. Skylar fell to her knees and put her hands over the cuts on the lion's stomach. "Oh Seasarmon...you have to digivovle." She whispered as she held up her digivice.

The lion shake his head. "I don't think I can, I don't think I have enough energy to do so..." He whispered.

I ran towards the griffon digimon. The digimon noticed me running. He cackled and flew into the air. He spin around and did a nosedive towards me. I dropped my sword and held my hands out as the griffon slammed his body against mine. I grabbed the griffon's shoulders and pushed back against his strength. I held my ground, but his strength was slowly pushing me backwards, I could start to see my feet moving in the ground.

I snarled and tried to use all of my strength back against him. I barred my fangs. "I won't let you harm them." I growled. Darkness started to build up in my hands.

The griffon smiled down at me. "You failed anyways, you made a big mistake." He laughed.

I raised an eyebrow but my answer was finally given when I realize what he meant. He pushed his claw forward on my chest and slammed me against the ground. He barred his fangs. "Mobius bite" He snarled and bit down on my shoulder blade.

I yelled out in pain. The griffon picked me up and flew into the sky as he held onto my shoulder with his fangs as he flew into the sky.

"Shade!" Micah shouted as he watch helplessly me being lifted into the sky. "Enjoy your fall" The griffon cackled as threw me into the air. When I was thrown in the sky I tried to catch myself with my wings but the pain that coursed through my shoulder made it impossible for me to open them. When I came eye to eye to the griffon he quickly smiled as he slashed out with his snake tail into my chest.

I was sent sprawling backwards, I slammed into the ground. I tried to move but I was stuck in the ground. "Dammit." I growled, I tried once more to move. But it seem impossible.

"Shade!" Micah cried. "Get up, you have to fight!" He shouted. He look down at me from the tree branch. He walked away from the trunk of the tree. The boy reached the fairest point he could on the branch. "Please don't give up Shade! I believe in you." The boy called out.

The griffon flew down in front of me. He slowly started to walk over to me, a sneer was forming on his face. "Your time is up." He laughed. "After you I am going to defeat that lion over there, and have two meals." He laughed.

'Skylar get out of here." Seasarmon growled over to his partner.

Skylar shake her head as she put a hand on the lion's head. "I am not leaving you here."

I smiled up at Micah. "You know kid. Maybe you were right about me." I chuckled lightly.

Micah look down at me with a confused look. "What do you mean?" He asked.

"I am a negative person." I started. "I let my wrath get in front of me, and let it blind me." I informed me. "Thanks for making this day great kid. It's been a while since I did something like this."

I look at the kid one more time when I look back at the griffon who was still slowly approaching me. I closed my eyes and waited for the final blow. I was finished, I was finally going to give in. There was nothing else that could be done for me. I failed in my mission....at least I was able to try change my old ways.

Micah shake his head. "I won't accept that!" Micah shouted at me.

I open my eyes to look up at him. "What do you expect to do brat! The fight is lost. There is nothing Seasarmon and I can do. I am going to die!" I yelled.

Micah bawled his fists. "No matter how tough a situation can seem. I won't give in. You don't have to fight on you own anymore Shade. I will fight along with you!" He shouted down at me. I could see tears fall down the corners of the boy's face.

The griffon cackled at this. "Gosh that's hilarious. What is a four year old going to do to me?" He asked.

I barred my fangs and tried to move again but I didn't have the energy to do anything.

Suddenly I heard Skylar gasp. She wasn't looking at the scene of Gryphonmon closing in on me but above me. I turned my head around back at Micah.

A small sphere of white light started to slowly start to fall down towards him.

"What is this?" Micah whispered as the light slowly started to get closer to him. He seem to be curious by it.

What was that thing? Was it some sort of digimon that was going to help him? If so I wouldn't have to worry about him getting hurt.

Skylar eyes grew wide. She look down at Seasarmon with a look of shock. "You don't think..." she whispered.

"That it's a digivice." He finished her sentence.

Micah reached out towards the light and grabbed it. It flashed dark purple and a similar digivice to Skylar's digivice appeared in Micah's hand.

I smiled, so that kid was a tamer after all. Hopefully the boy's digimon would come here and save him. Then he would possibly help Seasarmon fight back against Gryphonmon.

Micah pointed his digivice at me. "Don't give up Shade!" He shouted. A white beam of light shot out of his digivice. The light surrounded my body and my eyes grew wide when I notice all the wounds and cuts on my body disappeared in the beam of white light.

I look back up at the kid. This didn't make sense. I wasn't a digimon. Could this boy really be my tamer? I felt all of my energy returning to my body. I was shocked to notice that the strength I felt, was stronger than I ever felt. I got up slowly and smiled at the griffon. "Well it looks like I am a digimon after all." I chuckled as I stare at the digimon. Who was staring at me in shock.

"Impossible, this can't be." The griffon digimon shouted.

Skylar grinned and held up a fist. "You got this Shade!" She shouted.

Seasarmon nodded. "Don't give in." He shouted along with his tamer.

Gryphonmon shake his head. "No matter, you were weak when you first fought me. Even if you are a digimon. I will still kill you" He growled.

"Shade." I heard Micah whisper above me.

I look up at him.

"I believe in you, you don't have to fight alone anymore." He exclaimed to me. Micah threw his fist forward. "We will fight together!" He screamed. Suddenly Micah's digivice started to let out a blast of purple light. I never felt this kind of energy in my life. I smirked as the energy surrounded me.

"What is going on?" Skylar asked as she watched what was going on with me.

"I have no idea." Seasarmon whispered.

(Micah's P.O.V.)

I stared down at Shade down below me. Purple light continue to surround him. My eyes grew wide when my digivice once more let out a pulse of purple light.

(Micah's digivice was shown in a black screen) Shade was written across the screen, but then words were slowly written above the dragon's name. Mode change. The digivice let off a dark blast of purple light. Shade was shown in a digital sphere of light. Darkness started to surround his body. His claws started to glow larger, until they were razor sharp they were radiating with purple energy. Then the dragon's wing grew larger until they were spread out, the wing seem to rip apart until black dragon like wings formed on his back. Shade's bronze amour started to change. His chest plate was deleted and replaced with a black one. A golden light surrounded his legs until his claws at the end of his feet were longer and became razor sharp as well. His bronze leggings turned into black ones. He raised his tail high as a golden ring started to surround it, the golden ring started to reconstruct his tail. His tail became longer and spikes appeared on the side, when the ring reached the end of his tail, a golden trident like spear formed on his tail. Shade's face was then changed, his face was more dragon like. His eyes flashed yellow, a scar formed across his left eye. His horns on top of his head became twisted and curled a little. The dragon raised his right hand and a sword made of darkness formed in his outstretch hand. "Shade warrior mode!" He roared as darkness formed behind him.

I stared at the new Shade with amazement. Was I the one to help Shade accomplish that?

Skylar eyes grew wide. "Whoa! That is so cool." She cheered throwing her fists into the air.

Shade outstretch his new wings and flew towards the griffon. "Take this!" He snarled as he slashed the bird across his face with his sword.

The griffon yelled out in pain as the sword cut through his flesh.

Shade snarled. 'You will never threaten to hurt my tamer." He roared. "Pitch darkness" He shouted. He put his sword back into his holster and flew towards the griffon with his radiating purple claws outstretch in front of him. He slashed the griffon across his body.

The griffon flew backwards. He caught himself and flew towards me. "Legendary claws." He called out.

"Be careful Shade!" I shouted.

"Don't worry I got him kid." He shouted up at me. He quickly pulled out his glowing sword from his holster. "Faltering faith!" He snarled as he barred his fangs. He defected each blow with his sword and continue fighting back.

I held onto my digivice in my clenched hands. I was scared that Shade wasn't going to win. But when I look down at the fight underneath me. I knew that Shade was going to be able to beat him.

Shade grinned as he pushed his strength forwards on his sword. Sending the griffon faltering backwards. Shade's tail was slashed out in front of him. "Payback jackass!" He roared. His trident like tail strike the griffon digimon sending the griffon to his feet.

The dragon walked over to the griffon and picked him up by his throat. He brought the bird's head close to him. He barred his fangs. "No one, I mean no one." He snarled. He then pointed a finger towards me. "Threatens him but me." I knew he was only playing around about the last part but he was serious about protecting me.

The dragoon pushed his blade into the griffon's chest. The blade tip appeared out on the other side of the lion like back of the fusion digimon.

"Now die." He whispered to the bird fusion digimon.

He rip his sword out of the mega level digimon back. The griffon eyes were wide open in shock. "I can't lose." He stuttered. His eyes were shaking in shock.

The dragon smirked. "Looks like you underestimating the power of my tamer Micah and me." He exclaimed. He spread his wings and flew into the air. He put his sword into his holster and folded his wings over his body. The dragon held out his hands in front of him. His fangs barred as a ball of darkness started to form in the middle of his palms.

Skylar bawled her fists and look over at Shade. "Finish him off Shade!" She screamed.

Seasarmon slowly got up and nodded to agree with his tamer. "Get rid of him!"

I held out my hands in front of me, mimicking Shade. I could feel the energy of the attack. I felt the energy of the attack build up in my chest. I felt like I was helping Shade. The blast of darkness seem to grow in the palm of his hands. The dragon roared as the blast of darkness seem to radiate a dark purple.

"You will never hurt either of us again! We fight together, now and forever!" Shade and I yelled in unison. "Deletion destroyer!" We roared in perfect unison.

Shade shoved his hands forward along with me. The dark blast of energy fired from his hand and slammed into the fallen griffon digimon.

"This wasn't how it was supposed to end" The griffon cried as he was deleted and became yellow data. The data flew off into the air, leaving the area.

I smiled down at the extremely cool new shade. The dragon smiled back over to me and flew towards me. He grab me and held me close as he flew back to the ground. Once we reached the ground he gently put me back on my feet.

"I have one cool digimon." I exclaimed.

Skylar laughed as she walked over to us. Seasarmon had dedigivovle back into Labramon. He had a wound on his arm, which he covered up with his paw.

Skylar nodded. "You sure do Micah. You sure do." She smiled at the dragon and then crossed her arms over her chest.

Labramon mimic her. Both of them had a playful smile on their face.

(Shade's P.O.V)

I look between the two of them. "What?" I asked in confusion.

Skylar giggled and put a hand on her hip. "So not his digimon huh?" she asked.

I chuckled at this. "I guess, I am his digimon after all." I said.

Micah look over at me with a smile. "Thanks Shade." Then Micah hugged me. I was shocked by this but then I hugged him back.

"So what were you planning to do Shade?" Labramon asked. "That was so important I mean. "

I remembered what the High chandler had asked me to do from earlier. But now that I was Micah digimon...how would my king think of me? Then I realized something, I didn't care what he thought. I no longer worked for him. My new job was to protect this kid.

I broke the hug and smiled at the dog digimon. "It isn't important as I thought." I exclaimed.

Skylar smiled. 'That is good, maybe you can help me find some of my friends." She suggested.

I nodded and then I noticed purple light surrounded me. When the light vanished, I had return to my original form.

Micah smiled and held up his thumb. "Sure thing, Skylar. We will help you." He said excitedly.

I laughed and ruffled the boy's black hair. 'Yeah Micah and I will be happy to help you."

Skylar nodded. 'Well thanks guys. Let's get going." She said as she led the way.

I smiled and Micah walked by my side. "So Shade, how did it felt to change into that form?" He asked me.

'It felt different. I never felt that kind of power before. Thanks for helping me Micah. You help realize what I was fighting for, wasn't what I should have been fighting for." I informed him.

Micah smiled. "I made you a pretty cool super hero."

I chuckled at this. "You sure did kid." I patted him on his shoulder.

Labramon pointed a claw to his chest. 'Hey I could have been the super hero, if I could have digivovle to my mega level form. But I didn't really have enough energy to do so." He mumbled.

Skylar snickered. 'Or you were too lazy to do so." She teased with a friendly smile.

This caused Micah, Skylar and I to burst into laughter.

Labramon pouted and crossed his arms over his chest. 'Some friends." He mumbled.

Before we could move another inch a silver sphere of light formed in front of us. It was a transmission and before the figure appeared, I knew who it was. The high chandler appeared in the beam of gray light.

"Shadow dragon what are you doing?" He spat angrily as he look at me.

I barred my fangs. "I am done working for you." I snarled as I pointed a claw at him.

Skylar look at me with curiosity. "Who is this guy Shade?" she asked.

The high chandler laughed. "You don't know who I am?" he asked.

Micah look at me with a worried look. "Who is that?"

This send the High chandler into another fit of laughter. "You haven't told them what you have done have you?" he asked.

I barred my fangs. "I have changed."

"What is he talking about Shade?" Labramon asked.

"You know how your worlds were destroyed. Or how many digimon were killed?" The high chandler asked between Skylar and Labramon.

The two of them nodded.

I growled lowly. "I have look past my mistakes. I am going to fight for a brighter future. I will protect my friends."

The high chandler smirked. "Is that so?" He asked. "I wonder what they will think of you... if they found out you were the one to destroy all of the Earth's in existence. If they found out that you were the one to kill thousands upon thousands of humans and digimon." He said outload.

Skylar gasp, a look of shock appeared across her face. She covered her mouth with her hands. Tears appeared in her eyes.

Labramon look at me like I was some sort of monster, or bug. He was barring his fangs as he snarled lowly at me. 'You killed Skylar's parents and her brother." He growled.

"Shade...Shade is this true?" Skylar cried as she look at me. She didn't look like she believed it. She was trying her hardiest to look at me. But she was look a little away from me. Tears streamed down her face.

I held my hand out at Skylar. I look at her with a look of regret. "I am so sorry Skylar." I whispered.

Skylar stepped away from me. She covered her face with her hands and fell to her knees. She started to sob loudly as cried in her hands.

I tried to walk over to her to comfort her but Labramon stepped in front of me. "Don't touch her.' He barked.

I stepped back. I didn't want to harm him.

I look back at the high chandler who was smirking at me with his yellow rotten teeth. "You see 'Shade'" He teased me with my new name. "No one will ever want to fight with you, you have killed. You are a monster to their eyes. I bet even your tamer, will not even talk to you ever again."

At the mention of Micah I quickly turn to the four year. The boy was staring at the ground. He had his fists bawled. I couldn't make out his facial expression.

I put a hand on Micah's shoulder. "Micah...I have changed. That was the old me. You have changed me to be someone different-"

Micah cut me off when he held up his left hand. He slowly walk away from me. He started to walk in the direction of Labramon and Skylar.

"Micah..." I whispered. I couldn't believe that he was going to walk away from me. I didn't know what to do now.

The high chandler laughed. "You see Shade, no one will ever care about you. You were made from evil digimon. They were called the dark masters, they tried to take over the digital world and killed many digimon and attempted to kill digidestined." He explained.

Skylar removed her hands. "The dark masters..." She whispered in shock. 'I thought they were destroyed by my friends and I." She whispered and shivered when she look at me.

The high chandler shake his head. "No, I took their data and used it to create this monster you see in front of you." He laughed as he held out his hand towards me.

My eyes grew wide. He made me out of evil digimon. That were planning to destroy the digital world before. I was meant to be a monster. Should...I fight for the high chandler?

"You see children, it was a waste of time trying to get 'Shade' to change sides" He laughed. The evil king look at me. He seem to take great liking of the confusion on my face. "No one would even understand you Shade, you killed innocent life's-"

"I understand Shade!" Micah shouted. He bawled his fists as he shouted at, the high chandler. "Shade may have killed many innocent lives, but I can tell he has changed." He shouted.

Micah stared at the high chandler angrily. The high chandler look at the boy with interest. "Why do you believe this little boy?" He asked. "Are you still sure you want to be his tamer?" he asked.

I look over at Micah with shock. I thought he saw me as a monster. How could he still want to protect me?

"If Shade wanted to hurt Skylar and I. He would have done it sooner. He wouldn't have protected us from Gryphonmon. You can stay here all day long, but there is nothing you can say to me. That will change my mind about how I think about Shade." He exclaimed.

The high chandler look shocked by the boy's reaction. "You may feel that way...but there is other people who will never feel the same-"

Skylar got up from where she had fallen on her knees. She whip away the tears on her face. She had a look of anger on her face but it was directed at me. She was looking straight at the High chandler. "Micah is right. He may have killed my parents and my brother, but he is trying to make up for what he has done." She exclaimed. 'I trust Shade as well."

Labramon nodded. "Sorry Shade." He said as he look over to me. The dog look over at the High chandler and crossed his paws over his chest. "Want to try anything else, maybe say Shade was the reason why Atlantis went under water, because we can pretty much care less."

The high chandler look defeated. "Fine Shade, you can get your wish, but don't think you will make it to the new world."

I grinned and pulled my sword out of my holster. "Don't worry. I don't plan to do so." I snarled as I barred my fangs as I walked over to the transmission. "But let me warn you, if I ever see you, or if you ever try to harm Micah. " I got close to the gray transmission. "I will kill you." I growled. I slashed the transmission with my sword and it broke in half.

I put my sword back into its holster and Skylar gave me a soft smile. "Sorry about what I said Shade."

"Don't mention it."

Skylar nodded. "Well let's keep on going. Don't worry when we meet my friends. I will make sure they understand who you are." She informed me.

"Thank you Skylar."

Skylar started to walk through the woods that we had started to walk through before.

Labramon threw his fists in the air. "Back to the others!" He called out.

I smiled at this.

Micah look over to me. "We are friends, I don't care what ever you done. What I care about is how you try to change yourself to fight for a new better future."

I smiled and put a hand on my tamer's shoulder. "Thank you Micah, you are a good friend."

Micah nodded.

Today was actually better than I expected. I have been given a second chance in life. And I wasn't going to abuse it. With Micah and my new friends Skylar and her digimon partner Labramon. I will help fight back against Azulongmon and the High chandler. I knew for one thing. I look over to the boy walking next to me. The boy was talking to Skylar about one of his favorite super heroes. If it wasn't for Micah, I wouldn't have been given this chance, I would have probably would have died by Gryphonmon.

Now...I had something to fight for. A friend and a new world.

"Whoa! Look at that city." Amanda whispered.

"Watch out!" Crystal shouted.

"Don't worry Gomamon, we will help out." Fanny said smiling down at the aquatic digimon.

"Time to fight back against the final general." Zen whispered.

Author Note: I know this chapter is a lot different from the preview from last chapter, but I had a better idea for this one :)

The war is nearing, it won't be much that longer until the final battle takes place.
