I only own Jeremy and Skylar
The sun started to rise high in the morning sky. The sound of rushing traffic was heard outside from an apartment complex room. A spiky brown hair boy tossed and turn in his bed. A loud beeping noise had begun to cause him to stir.
A white digivice was shown on the table next to the figure's bed. Next to the device was a beeping alarm clock that appeared to look like a hatched egg. On the far side of the table was a picture of the figure and some other kids. Standing side by side with what appeared to be monsters.
The kid remained motionless in his bed, as his alarm clock continued to beep loudly. Trying to ignore his alarm clock. He kept his eyes closed tight, as he tried to continue to sleep. Finally after a minute of allowing the clock to beep. The kid finally had enough. He reached out with his right hand and tried to turn the clock off. The first attempt was a miss, but finally with his second try. He pushed the egg down, causing the annoying beeping to subside.
The boy let out a sigh of relief and fell back to sleep.
Tai rolled over in his bed and fell back to sleep.
On the outside of the apartment. A bridge was glowing brightly as the sunlight reflected off the cool silver metal. A soft breeze flew through the city. It was a nice sunny day in Japan. Cars zoom down the road, and there was hardly any traffic what so ever.
People were walking down the sidewalk, people were on their way to work. Or even heading on their way to school.
One boy, in particular, stood out from the others. The boy wore a white and blue striped t-shirt, and blue gym shorts. On his back was a gym bag. The boy was grinning from ear to ear as he was riding down the sidewalk on a silver bike. The boy had short spiky brown hair and bright hazel eyes. On top of the boy's forehead was a pair of goggles. And sticking out of the boy's pocket was a blue device.
From a nearby television set. Playing in the middle of a store. A woman spoke into a mic. She had a small frown on her face as she began to speak to her audience. "Investigation as to the cause of the mass blackouts in Kawasaki area are underway. However, the cause is still unknown. "
Back inside of the apartment complex. A young fourteen-year-old girl was seen walking over to the boy's room. She had short brown hair and had a white hairclip in her hair. The girl wore a uniform with a green long-sleeve sailor dress. She knocked on the door and smiled. "Tai! Wake up you sleepy head."
The boy named Tai shifted in his bed. Trying to ignore his sister. He grabbed the blankets on his bed and pulled it over his face. As if his blankets would be some time of shield to prevent her from waking him up.
"Tai!" Kari called out as she walked into his room.
At an airport in Paris, people were busily walking around the building. People were pulling suitcases and or holding their bags. One girl was frowning as she stared down at her phone. The girl had lavender hair that was put in a ponytail, the ponytail is held together with a red ribbon. The girl had brown eyes. The girl was currently wearing a pink t-shirt and a white skirt. The girl frowned as a message pop up on her phone.
"Gosh...I didn't know my plane would be this late." She whined. "I knew I should have asked my uncle for a lift...but he did have to visit grandma." She mumbled. The lavender girl quickly started to text someone. "Hey Cody" She began to read aloud. "I might not be able to make it to school today. I am trying to make it back from Paris! It was an amazing semester, I got to meet all kinds of an amazing people. Being a foreign exchange student was a really cool idea. You should try it some time." She clicked send after looking at her message.
Attached to her suitcase was a red device. The girl fixed her glasses and sighed. "But my flight from Japan is going to take an hour to get here." She cried. "I was really looking forward to seeing everyone again."
Back in Tai's room, the boy continued to hold his blankets over his face. Kari walks over to her brother's bedside and softly smiled. "Tai, you need to get up." She began to try to remove the cover from her brother's grip. But he was holding on to his slumber.
"Come on Tai." She said shaking her head. She gave the blanket one last tug, and the blanket was ripped out of Tai's grasp.
"You will be late for soccer practice if you don't leave now." She informed her brother. Knowing her brother Tai. That would give him some adrenaline to get out the door faster.
Tai jolted up in bed and look over at his alarm clock. "What time is it?" He asked quickly staring at his bed. He blinks dumbfounded and jumps off his bed. He raced to his closet and started to take out his school and soccer uniform. He turns back to look at his sister. "Can you give me some privacy."
Kari nodded. "Sure thing, just remember. Change quickly. Mom made us some breakfast." She walked out of the room closing the door behind her.
At Odiaba middle school. A twelve-year-old boy was sitting at the footsteps of the school. He was in the sixth grade and he was staring down at his cell phone. The boy was wearing a white buttoned shirt with long sleeves under an open green blazer jacket, gray pants, white socks, and yellow sneakers. The boy had short hazel hair that is cut in a bowl cut. His eyes were a sharp green and scanned a text message he had just received. "Same old Yolei. I wonder how long it will take for her to get here. I guess I could text TK and see when he and Kari will get here." He started to type away on his phone.
Sitting beside him was a martial arts bag. Attached to the strap of the bag was a yellow device that gleamed in the sunlight.
Tai had quickly changed into his high school uniform. Which was a black buttoned jacket under an opened white dress shirt with blue tie, navy vest, black pants, and sneakers. When he was done changing, he grabbed his digivice and attached it to his back pocket.
A dark blue hair boy was shown walking down the streets of the city. The boy wore a green uniform. In his right hand was a book. The fourteen-year-old was humming to himself as he was reading. The boy look up when a boy rode past him on a bike. "What's up Ken?!" The boy named Ken waved after the kid on the bike. "Hey, Davis." Davis stopped riding his bike and smiled at the blue-haired boy. "Looks like I am going to be beating you to school today." He grinned stupidly.
Ken rolled his eyes. "I was just going over the book report assignment. I wanted to make sure, I got all the facts I needed before I give my speech today." With this news, Davis sweatdrop. The boy almost fell to the ground from almost losing his balance. "That project is due today?" he asked anxiously.
Ken shook his head. "Honestly Davis, I don't know how you made it this far."
Davis grinned. "I have my ways." He pointed to himself with his thumb.
Ken stared closely at the bike that Davis was riding. "Isn't that Skylar's bike?" he asked curiously pointing down at the bike.
Davis grinned. "Yeah, I've decided that I wanted to go on a bike ride this morning."
Ken shook his head. "You know, she is going to kill you."
Davis grinned from ear to ear. "Yeah...but she will have to catch me first." He laughed.
Ken continued to walk side by side with Davis. A black device was shown clipped to his pocket.
Another apartment complex was shown. Inside of a room, one teenage girl was still trying to keep asleep. The girl had long red hair that seems to drape over her face. The girl wore a blue pajama top and blue pajama bottoms. She sighed as she spread her arms out over her face. "Gosh..." She whispered as she slowly sat up in bed. She brushed her long red hair out of her eyes.
The sixteen-year-old girl took a deep breath and smiled as she heard birds singing outside her window. She stretched and smiled. "I better hurry up and get ready for school." She exclaimed as she got out of bed. The redhead walked over to her bathroom, on her way. She grabbed her uniform and a white hairband.
On the girl's nightstand was a picture of a younger image of her. The girl appeared to look like she was in middle school. In her arms was a dog looking creature. It had creamed color fur, purple floppy ears, and a tail. The girl was grinning ear to ear.
Standing next to the girl was a blue-haired boy. The boy was holding a seal looking creature which had a spiky orange mane. The boy was smiling softly as he stood next to the redhead.
(At the high school)
A brown hair boy was sprinting down the track. The boy wore a blue muscle shirt, black gym shorts. And he was breathing heavily as he tried to stay ahead of the track. People were trying to keep up with him, but he had already passed the finish line.
A group of kids cheered for the short brown hair boy. The boy was handed a towel and he wiped the sweat off his face.
One strawberry blonde hair girl with silver eyes stepped forward. "Good job Jeremy." The girl batted her eyelashes. "You have been doing very well this year on track."
Jeremy smiled softly at the girl. "Thanks, Ashley." He walked over to a bench and reached into a gym bag. He pulled out a water bottle and took a sip from it.
Ashley followed after the boy. "So..." The girl started off as she started to twirl a finger through her hair. "I was wondering if you were doing anything tonight?" She started off. She pulled out two tickets from her pocket. "I was going to see a concert, the Knife of day. And I wanted to see if you like to tag along."
Jeremy frowned as he stared at the ticket. He rubbed the back of his neck. "Ah...I don't know..."He had started to trail off. But he stopped when a boy wrapped an arm around his neck.
"Sure he would." The guy said with a grin. The boy had black hair that was cut short, and hazel eyes. The boy was fourteen years old. And he was wearing a white buttoned shirt with long sleeves under an open green blazer jacket, gray pants, white socks, and white and blue sneakers.
Jeremy blinked. "Simon, what are you doing here?" he asked puzzled.
The Hispanic boy shrugged. "I wanted to see how my bro was doing. And a good thing too. Because you were about to turn down this beautiful girl."
Ashely giggled at the two. "That's great. I am glad you will be able to come." She handed Jeremy the ticket. The girl winked and walked off.
Jeremy sighed and picked up his gym bag. An orange device was shown attached to his bag. "Dude why did you do that?" He asked shaking his head.
Simon shook his head. "You got to let Mimi go. She moved to America, not only that she hates your guts ever since the two of you broke up." He pointed out. "Not only that, Ashely has been crushing on you since your freshman year of high school. You shouldn't let her go by." He exclaimed.
Jeremy finally nodded. "Maybe your right..."
Simon grinned. "I know I am. I'll see you after school today. Dude." The two friends fist bump and walked away from one another. In Simon's pocket was a brown device.
(Back to Skylar's apartment)
Skylar walked out of her bathroom. The sixteen-year-old girl was wearing her school uniform. In one hand she held a brush and in the other, she was holding her cell phone. "So I still have enough time to make it to school." She whispered to herself. She finished brushing her hair and placed her hairband on her forehead. The girl stared at herself in the mirror and smiled brightly.
"Hmm..." The redhead girl turns her head to the picture at her bedside. The picture of her and her friend Joe. The girl frowned at the picture and sat at the edge of her bed. She had to admit, she had a crush on Joe. But that all changed...ever since her friend Jeremy kissed her on the lips in front of Joe. Joe had thought they were a couple, and he hasn't talked to the red since. That was three years ago...
Skylar looks over at her bedside at a white device. "Oh, Labramon..." She picked up the device and pocketed it. "What I would do to hear your voice again."
Skylar heard a knock at her door. The redhead looks up from her thoughts. "It's open!" She announced.
Skylar's, six-year-old brother Todd walked into the room. Todd's red hair was cut short, and his brown eyes seem to be filled with excitement. The boy was wearing a blue t-shirt and black shorts. "Good morning Sky!" He said cheerfully.
Skylar smiled at her dorky little brother. "Good morning Todd."
"Mom made some french toast." He informed her.
Skylar hops up from her bed and grinned. "Awesome! You better have saved some for me." She laughed as she grabbed her brother and started to give him a noogie.
"I did" He laughed as he waved her hands away from him. "Come on dork."
Skylar and her brother walk into the living room. Where the redhead sat down, to be given a plate of french toast.
"Thanks, mom"
Skylar's mother nodded and returned to washing the dishes.
After Skylar finished eating her food. She looks up to hear a knock at the door. "I got it!" She called to her mother. She opened the door to see her friend Sora waiting on the other side.
The orange hair girl was wearing her school uniform. "Good to see you awake. I thought you would still be asleep." She teased.
Skylar laughed wholeheartedly at her friend. "Very funny."
Sora stuck her tongue out. "I thought so."
Skylar smiled at her friend. The redhead girl turns to her left and grabs her white purse, which was full of her school supplies.
"Bye, mom! Have a good day at school Todd!" she called over her shoulder.
Her mother waved at the two of them. "You two stay safe!"
"We will" Skylar and Sora said in unison.
"Bye!" Todd waved after them.
The redhead girl closed the door to her apartment and locked it. "Time for school." Skylar cheered.
"We are going to take our bikes?" Sora asked as they walked over to the staircase.
Skylar nodded. "Of course! It looks like a beautiful day today."
As they walked over to the bike rack that was outside of their apartment complex. Skylar frowned. "My bike isn't there..." She murmured to herself. The redhead girl raced towards the bikes that were locked up and noticed a letter, where she had left her bike the night before.
Took your bike for a spin.
-Davis
Skylar narrowed her eyes as she crumbled the note. "Davis" She growled.
Sora chuckled at her friend. "I guess we're walking now."
Skylar sighed and nodded. "I guess so. Let's go" The two friends began to walk side by side down the sidewalk.
Sora looks over at Skylar. "Oh, I forgot to ask you. What did you put on your career sheet form?"
Skylar looks down at the ground. Her face started to burn from the thought of the career path Ishe had chosen.
Sora blinked at her friend' reaction. " Sky? Did you turn it in?" She asked her in a puzzled tone.
Skylar nodded and shook her hands. "Of course I did. (She rubbed her right arm sheepishly) It's just that...my job involves me to do something I'm scared to do..."
Sora blinks at this news. "Then why are you pursuing that career?"
The redhead shrugged. A smile playing on her lips. "I wanted to do it ever since I was a little girl."
Sora nodded with a smile. The two of them walked down the sidewalk. They lived almost a mile away from the school so it wasn't that much of a walk for the two of them.
From the silence. Sora looks over at Skylar with a playful smile and asked. "So?"
Skylar raised an eyebrow. "So what?"
"How are you and Joe doing?" Sora asked.
Skylar crossed her arms over her chest.
Skylar shook her head. "He still isn't talking to me..." She whispered as she looks down at the ground.
Sora frowned at this news. She placed a comforting hand on the redhead girl's shoulder. "Maybe he has his reasons. I know he wouldn't want to hurt you." She reassured her friend.
Skylar rolled her eyes. She had tried to get Joe out of her head. But her friends always had to remind her of him. That jerk had avoided her for three years...but like she should care...
"Hello, Ruby." A female voice said aloud behind the red hair girl. Causing Skylar to jump high in the air, from the sudden voice.
Skylar quickly turned to see a girl from her high school. She was a year older than her.
The girl wore a white dress shirt that was neatly tucked in with a blue button-up jacket over it. She also wore a black skirt, a red bow was tied around her neck, blue and white converses. The girl had pale skin, blue chilling eyes, black hair that reached past her shoulders and a white hairband on top of her head.
"Luna" Skylar said in shock. She was expecting to see her on her walk.
Luna spoke coldly to her. "You better hurry up to school Ms. Ruby. You don't want to be late again. Last time it was just a warning." She wagged her finger as she walked past her and Sora.
Skylar gritted her teeth. Luna was the hall monitor of the school. To be honest Skylar was late for school yesterday and Luna had caught her. The only reason why Skylar got away scot-free was that Skylar constantly begged Luna, and she finally had enough of her crying.
Score one for me! Skylar thought in her head with a grin.
Supposably Luna moved down here alone before her family did. She was currently living by herself in an apartment building. Her parents and her siblings are supposed to be moving here soon. Rumor has it that she has twin sisters. But no one knows their names.
Sora leans over to her friend and mumbled. "Isn't she always a ray of sunshine?"
Skylar nodded to agree with her. Then she turns to look back at her friend with a smile. "Let's not try to worry about it. We have a whole school day ahead of us. Summer vacation is just around the corner!" She said as she raced foward.
Sora sweatdrop. "Hey Sky! Wait for me!" She shouted as she raced after her friend.
The two of them continued their path towards school.
(Tai's P.O.V.)
Tai had open the door to his apartment. And look back at his mother and sister. "See you later!" He shouted over his shoulder as he waved after them.
Kari waved after her brother and called out. "Have a good day!"
Tai started to ride his bike to school. The sun brightly shone throughout the sky. Not a single cloud filled the sky,
He rode underneath the bridge. And smiled at the blue sky above him.
Tai quickly rode past people with a smile on his face. He suddenly stopped to smile at the pier.
(Later, at the school)
A loud whistle was heard and a soccer ball was kicked into the air.
Tai was able to bounce the ball on his knee as it fell down. He then started to kick the ball to the opponent's goal. Someone tried to block him, but Tai was able to run past him. Tai kicked the ball. Tai walked towards the sidelines to take a quick break. He starts drinking from a water bottle.
Tai grinned as he looks up at his teammates. "Great. Let's do this one more game."
One of the teammates shook his head. "You're unbelievable. Can't we rest?" He asked hopefully.
His teammates were all on the ground. All of them looked tired.
Tai sighed, and wiped his face with a towel. He then laid down on the ground with his hands behind his neck.
Suddenly the sunlight was blocked out when someone stood in front of him. He opens his eyes to see Kari standing in front of him. She had a smile on her face.
Tai: raised an eyebrow when he saw his younger sister. "Kari?" He asked
Kari held out a small brown paper bag. "You forgot your lunch again." She informed him.
Tai sweat drop as he grabs the bag from her. "Sorry. Thank you."
Kari smiles as she nodded. "You owe me one ice cream cone. (Dreamily) A strawberry choco bomber crash seasonal tropical espresso." She exclaimed.
Tai sweatdrops at his sister request. But he nods. "Fine, gosh Kari. Your becoming Skylar."
Kari giggles at this. "Skylar sure does love ice cream though. Even the mention of the word. She would want some."
"Hey Tai! Get back to practice you lazy bone." Tai turns back to his teammates to see all of them stretching. His eyes grew wide to see them all moving about.
"I thought you guys were tired." He exclaimed.
A blonde hair boy shook his head. "Huh? Where did you hear that?"
"We must move forward, Right Kari?" One of Tai's teammates asked.
Kari looks up and stares at the boy.
"Huh? Ah sure...(she smiles uneasily) Well have fun with your training" She said to her brother as she walked off.
Kari felt her phone buzz and noticed it was a text from Davis.
Davis: Kari where are you? I have saved you a seat for class today.
Kari sweatdrop at this message.
Kari: Thanks, I will be there soon.
Kari sent the message and pocketed her cell phone.
(Inside the school, later that day)
Sora was looking down at a ticket in her hand.
"This Sunday?' Sora asked.
Matt nodded. "Yeah."
Tai and Skylar were walking down the hallway.
"Yeah, Tai, I think I will be able to make it to your soccer game. You are so lucky that training for baseball season is over. (She smiled at her friend) But don't worry I am always here for you guys." The redhead winked. "What would you be without me." She teased her friend.
Tai nods thankfully. "Well, I am glad that you will be able to attend. Do you think Jeremy, will be able to come?" He asked.
Skylar placed a hand on her chin. "If I remember correctly. Jeremy has a practice that day." She said sadly.
Tai shrugged. "It's okay. No worries. I will see if anyone else will be able to come."
Sora looks past Matt to see Tai.
Sora smiles at him. "Good morning Tai." She waved cheerfully.
Tai turns around away from Matt.
Matt looks up from his cell phone he was staring down at a few seconds earlier. "Good morning Tai, Skylar." He exclaimed.
"Hey" Tai said nonchalantly.
"What's up Matt?" Skylar asked.
Matt shrugged. "Nothing much."
Tai sees Sora holding the ticket in her hand. And frowns when he notices this.
Someone patted Tai on the back of his head.
It was their teacher Daigo Nishijima.
"Good morning, Yagami."
"G...good morning sir." Tai said hesitantly.
Skylar waved at their teacher.
"Hello, Nishijima. What did you think of my written report about the cherry blossom tree?" She asked with a cheerful voice.
Daigo sweatdrops at this question. "I don't think there are fairies living in those trees."
Skylar shook her head. "That's what they want you to think. Plus (she held up a hand) you said it was an expository paper." She reminded him.
Daigo scratch the side of his head.
"Looks like you found a loophole." He said with a smile.
Skylar grinned confidently. "What I do best."
Tai slowly tried to walk away, but Daigo grabbed him by the back of his collar.
"I don't think you're going anywhere Yagami. Do you still don't have it?" He asked.
Tai scratches his cheek. "Um...well I might have glanced over it...sorry..." He murmured.
Daigo shook his head. "You're the only one left. You are unbelievable. Come to my office before lunch." He instructed as he walks away from them.
Matt, Sora, and Skylar turn to face him.
Matt stares at Tai confused. "Well?" He asked.
"What's going on?" Sora added.
Skylar placed a hand on her hip. " What did you forget to do?" She said with a stern voice.
"My career planning form..." He whispered.
Sora eyes grew wide. "Huh? You still didn't turn it in?"
"No..."
"Wasn't that due like a million months ago?" Skylar asked shocked.
Tai sweatdrops. "No, about two weeks ago." He reminded her.
Skylar sighed and slapped him in the back of the head.
"Ouch!" Tai cried as he placed a hand on the back of his neck.
"You deserve that..." Skylar exclaimed.
Tai rubbed the back of his neck.
The bell started to chime in the halls.
Matt starts to walk away from the three.
" Well, you don't have that much time left." Matt reminded him.
Tai sighs. "Yeah."
Tai, Sora, and Skylar walk into the nearest classroom.
Static runs across a building side.
(Lunch)
Tai sat at a table by himself. He was eating from a bowl.
He started to dig into his food quickly.
Matt walked over to him and held out a ticket.
"My band has a performance. Do you wanna go?"
Tai grabbed the ticket and stared down at it. "Teen-age wolves?" He asked in a quiet voice.
Matt shook his head. "No, we broke up and changed the name."
Tai blinked. "To what?"
"Knife of day."
Tai started to choke.
"What happen?" He asked.
Matt shrugged. "You could say musical differences."
Tai chuckles. "Right, 'musical'"
Matt punches Tai in his gut under the table.
Tai grimaces. "Please don't make me throw up. I want to enjoy my lunch in peace." He whines.
Tai looks down at the ticket again.
"I can't do Sunday, sorry I have a game that day." He handed the ticket back to Matt.
The blonde hair boy shrugged. "That's okay." As he pocketed the ticket.
Matt holds out his hand. "Pass it down."
Tai grabs a pepper shaker and started to pour it in Matt's Ramen.
Matt narrowed his eyes and started to speak in an annoyed tone.
"Stop."
Tai continues to pour the pepper, a grin forming on his face.
"But it's supposed to be special."
"Cut it out!"
Matt whacks Tai's hand away.
Tai chuckles at his friend's reaction.
"Stop being stupid. I like a small amount of pepper. Now you messed with my Ramen..." He mumbles as he picked up a fork.
Tai grins. "Just like you. (Teasing) Knife of Ramen."
Matt goes to punch him but Tai avoids the hit with a grin.
(Another side of the cafeteria)
Sora and Skylar sat at a different table near the window. The two of them were staring out the window to look out at the soccer fields.
Sora looked over at the redhead girl "So when is baseball season starting again?"
Skylar smiled at her friend.
She held up her index finger. "Next year. But tryouts start a week before school. I love playing baseball!" She said excitedly.
Sora smiles back at me. "Well, you are a good player."
Skylar nods and continues to eat her soup. That she had packed herself for lunch.
Sora stares at the soup bowl. 'So what kind of soup are you eating?"
Skylar smiles sadly down at the bowl.
"Chicken and noddle."
Sora smiled sadly.
"Because it reminds you of Labramon?"
Skylar nodded slowly. "I just miss him..."
Sora placed a hand on Skylar's shoulder. "Don't worry. We will see them again. (She smiles once more) They always come back for us. (She stands up) I need to finish up a report for Daigo's class. The one that's due this Friday. I'll talk to you later."
Sora walks away.
"Okay!" The redhead girl called after her.
She turn her head when a figure sat across from her. It was her friend Jeremy Heinz. Skylar smiled at the boy.
"Hey, Jeremy. How are you doing today?"
The boy shrugged. "I could be better. Simon got me a date with that girl. You know Ashley."
Skylar blinked as she frowned. "I thought you wanted to makes things right with Mimi. In fact-" Skylar stopped herself as she kicked her friend under the table. "You told me you were going to face time her last night to apologize."
Jeremy grimaced at the kick under the table. "I was going to, but she wasn't answering my calls." He grumbled.
Skylar scratch the back of her neck. "Maybe she is trying to avoid you." She whispered out loud.
Jeremy sweatdrop. "Wow, I wouldn't have noticed that on my own." Jeremy shook his head as he placed his lunchbox on the table. He opens the box and pulled out a container of pizza. He smiled and took a bite out of the pepperoni pizza.
Skylar grimaced at her friend. "You eat your pizza stale?" she asked.
Jeremy shrugged. "I don't see any problem with it, and it isn't like there is a microwave around for me to use." He pointed out to his friend.
Skylar nodded to agree with her friend. She was about to say something else but stopped when she felt a hand on her shoulder. The redhead girl jumped and turn her head over her shoulder to see Luna. And it was terrifying for Skylar to see Luna smiling down at her.
"Hello, Skylar. You're a good friend."
Skylar raised an eyebrow. "We never talk to one another"
Luna shook her head. Still keeping her smile. "But you are so funny and nice."
Skylar still didn't buy her kind words. They sounded somewhat fake and forced. "Why don't you stop the act and tell me what you want."
Luna's smile faded and she looked all business now.
Luna crossed her arms over her chest. "As you may know. I have two sisters. My family is moving here soon. My two sisters are somewhat loners, and you being so known to everyone at this school. I was wondering if you could be friends with them."
Skylar blinked in surprise at this. "Are they mean as, you?" She asked in slight fear. Her thoughts showed two other Luna's screaming at her.
Luna's eyes narrow, and her voice grew cold. "Watch it, Ruby... do you want me to look over that detection override?" She asked with a beginning of a smirk.
Skylar grimaced and shook her head.
Luna raised an eyebrow. "So will you?"
The redhead shrugged. "I guess. (She smiled brightly) I always like making new friends."
Luna gets up from the table. "Good." She walks away without another word.
"What did I get myself into?" Skylar groaned as she slammed her head against the table in front of her.
Jeremy grinned at his friend. "Well, looks like you have to keep your word now."
"Shut up" Skylar cried.
(Daigo's office)
Daigo is cleaning off a board. The teacher was waiting for Tai to speak. But the bearer of courage kept to himself. "Well, what's your plan Yagami? Any ideas?" Daigo asked as he grabbed a marker sitting on his desk.
"Um...my future..." Tai reaches down and picks up a cinnamon bun that was sitting on a plate, on Daigo's desk. "Nothing fancy...I guess..." He shrugs as he takes a bite out of the bun.
Daigo yelled out in surprise when Tai did this.
Tai blinks. "Oh sorry sir, were you going to eat this?" He asked this.
Daigo sighed and shook his head. "You already bit into it...Go ahead."
Tai laughs as he continues to eat the tasty snack. "Thank you, sir." Tai takes another bite from the bun.
"Is there nothing you're interested in? There has to be something." Daigo exclaimed as he grabbed a couple of sheets of paper and placed it on a clipboard.
Tai shook his head. "Not really sir."
"Just put anything down" Daigo instructed.
Tai looks down at the floor. "I like being with my friends."
Daigo starts to write with a paintbrush on a sheet of paper.
"But they live so far away for me to see them. I used to go all the time." Tai looks down at his digivice which was clipped to his pocket.
Daigo held up a paper with the Japanese word "Overseas" on it.
Tai sweat drop at this. Somewhat like that.
"Then maybe you should study languages. There are many schools. Then find the field you want, when your there." Daigo suggested as he grabbed another sheet of paper.
Tai looks off uncertain. As Daigo began to draw again using his paintbrush. Daigo holds up the sheet paper with the Japanese symbol for "dream" on it. "Dream big boy!" Daigo shouted with a grin.
(Pier)
Data surrounded a small corner near a blue crate. From that data, Kuwagamon took shape and flew off. A small creature wearing a green cape ran through the stack of crates. And a shadow like a figure watched after the small creature.
(After school)
Tai is holding a net with a soccer ball in it. As he walked he kicked the ball. Tai stops walking and turns towards a tree. Izzy was sitting underneath the shade of the tree. Izzy was looking down at his cell phone with a soft smile.
"Hey, Izzy!" Tai called out to his friend.
Izzy looks up from, his phone and sees Tai. The boy grinned and waved at him.
Tai walks over.
A while passed by. The two friends were talking about school and Tai's upcoming soccer game.
Izzy shakes his head sadly. "Sorry, I really like to go but my parent's wedding anniversary is that day."
Tai frowns at this news. "So you can't come?"
Izzy shakes his head and gets up from where he sat. "How about Matt?" He asked.
"He has a concert that day. And I can't really ask Joe since he's studying for his exams. Skylar said she could come. When I told Davis about it, he said he would go, but I think he is only going to see Skylar. Yolei is out of the country still, she won't fly until tomorrow. And she wanted to spend some time with her friends. Cody is going to do some kendo practice with his grandfather. Simon said he had to train for his next competition. Ken is busy with some projects for his classes. I'm going to ask Kari and T.K. but who knows."
Izzy shakes his head. "It's hard to get everyone together these days."
Tai frowned and shrugged it off. "That's okay, I just thought you would be free. So I asked."
Izzy snapped his fingers. "I know. I'll ask Mimi." He starts texting her.
Tai shook his head. "But she's over in America. No way she could come. Never."
Izzy smiled. "But it's Mimi. She could get here with unexpected ease." He reminded him.
Tai hummed to himself. "I wonder how she's doing over there."
Izzy's eyes grew wide in shock. "She replied. That was fast."
Tai quickly looks over his shoulder. "I'll say."
(Mimi's text)
Hello,
Thanks for the invite. I'll come, so cover my airfare, okay?
Mimi
Tai looks shocked to see the message. He blinked and asked. "She's coming?"
"Tai! Izzy!" A female shouted
The two friends looked up to see Skylar was practically sprinting over to them. When she stopped in front of them, she caught her breathe and waved at them. "Hey, guys!"
Izzy smiled at the redhead girl. "Hey, Sky."
"Is it true!?" She asked excitedly.
Tai blinked. "Is what true?"
Skylar held out her cell phone. "Mimi just sent me a text."
(Mimi's text)
Hey Sky!
I just got an invite to go to Tai's soccer game on Sunday. Please help him pay for my airfare please.
See you later BFF
Mimi
She quickly put back her phone in her pocket. "Is she?" She asked again.
The two of them nodded.
"Yeah! Mimi is coming. It's going to be like old times." Skylar threw a fist into the air.
Izzy and Tai smiled at the redhead girl. The redhead boy started to type away on his laptop. "Round-trip weekend airfares from New York to Tokyo aren't cheap. Full fare is 1.08 million yen." He informed Tai and Skylar, who both started to grimace.
"Plus, all major airlines slap on extra fees. Things like fuel surcharges. They're added to the base price. Here's a comparative fare chart of all the airlines. (Izzy shows them a chart on his laptop, and Skylar nearly passed out because the ticket price increased.) But one thing. It's Mimi, so we better check business class fees." Izzy exclaimed as he began to check the prices.
Tai scratches the back of his head.Skylar frowned sadly realizing that Mimi won't be able to come now. Tai shook his head. "Forget it..."
(T.K., Davis, Cody, Simon, and Kari are on their way home from school. Kari is pushing her bike as she walked by T.k.'s side. Davis and the others trailed behind them.)
"Sorry, I'm busy on Sunday." T.K. shook his head.
"So you guys can't come either?" Kari asked looking at the others.
Davis smiled and held up his thumb. "Actually I heard that Skylar was tagging along. I am not going to miss this chance of asking her out." He cheered as he was currently pushing Skylar's white bike.
Kari rolled her eyes at his plan. Because she knew that Sky didn't like him that way.
Cody frowned. " I would like to go, but my grandfather and I already had planned to practice some Kendo. "
Simon grinned. "I already have swimming practice. And I have an idea of pranking Yolei" He grinned evilly.
Cody raised an eyebrow. "Why are you going to prank her? I thought she really wanted to hang out with you. Weren't you guys going to see a movie together?" he asked.
Simon blushed as he shrugged. "I know that...but it would be better if I go and prank her."
T.K. smirked at the Hispanic boy's reaction. T.K. placed his hands on top of his own head. "I'm taking a friend to my brother's concert."
Kari raised an eyebrow. "You're taking a girl?" She asked with a smile.
Davis looks up at this.
T.K. nods his head. "Yeah"
Kari stops pushing her bike.
Davis grinned happily at this news. Kari is free! That means I could ask her out!
T.K. stops walking to look at her.
Kari looks up with a teasing smile. "You're a real babe-magnet, aren't you T.K.?"
Simon grinned along with her. "So do we know this girl?" he asked joining in with the teasing.
T.K. got defensive, he held up his hands and shook his head. "It's not that. She's just a friend."
Kari and Simon nodded. Both didn't look like they believed T.K. "Right." They said in unison. Simon then added. "A friend" The two of them started to laugh.
T.K. turned towards them. "What was that?"
The five of the kids walked down a crosswalk to get to the other side of the street.
Kari waved her hand at the blonde hair boy. "Nothing special."
T.K. grinned mischievously. "Come on. Are you jealous Kari?" He asked with a grin.
Davis balled his fists. He isn't going to make a move in on my girl, right after he said he has a girlfriend. Davis was about to say something, but Kari beat him to the punch.
Kari giggles and shakes her head. "As if. (Changes subject) If no one shows up, Tai will be disappointed." She frowned.
Davis put his hands behind his neck. "Don't worry, I will show up to your brother soccer game" He reassured her.
Kari softly smiled at him. "I will take your word, Davis."
T.K. frowned. My brother is hoping that everyone could attend his concert."
Kari blinked. "Really?" She asked.
T.K. nods. "He'd never admit to it though. We sure have our hands full with them." He chuckled.
T.K. waves at his friends Simon, Kari, and Davis.
"See you guys later."
Cody waves at them too as he began to walk side with T.K. "See you all Monday" He shouted.
Kari waved at the two of them. "Sure, Bye"
Simon took a deep breath. "Well, I better hurry on up home. I need to start working on my prank."
Davis nodded. "And I need to return Skylar's bike before she kills me." He added.
Kari smiled at her friends. "Well, I'll see you both tomorrow."
Davis stops her. "Hey, Kari." Davis was blushing as he grabbed her shoulder. "Maybe some time we can go catch a movie with one another."
Kari sweatdrop. "Sorry Davis, I'm kind of busy this month."
Davis nods sadly. "I see, maybe some other time."
Kari frowns. "Yeah, maybe we can all hang out." She suggested. With that Davis nodded and walks away. Kari starts walking away down the sidewalk. In the direction of her apartment. She suddenly felt a strong breeze go by. She held onto her bike tightly and closed her eyes. Kuwagamon flew by overhead and disappeared in a portal. Kari looks up to see the blue sky, she frowns a little.
(Prep school)
A teacher stood in front of the classroom, staring down at a white piece of paper, as he spoke to his students. "Seating will be based on your results from the recent test." He informed his students.
Joe was currently sitting in the front row. He stood up along with the other students to check out their grades on the board.
"Top marks start from the front."
When Joe found his score, he moved to another seat. He now sat in the fourth row. He frowned as he recalled what his score was.
"The students who sit in the fourth row are at a D average. Those at the back need to work harder." He clarrfied to the students in the room.
Joe looks down at his scores sadly. They weren't good at all.
Joe was thinking to himself. I'm in the fourth row...
Joe stood out in the hall after class. He was looking down at his phone. Joe was sending a message to Tai. "Sorry can't go. Have to study for entrance exams."Joe sighed and got out of the message app. His home screen picture showed up. It was a picture of him and Skylar. Skylar was smiling brightly as she gave Joe bunny ears. Skylar looked like she was in her beginning year of middle school, while Joe was in his eighth-grade year. Joe smiled slightly before he shook his head and put his phone back in his pocket. He then walked away.
(A woman sat in a dark office)
The woman was staring at a laptop directly on the desk in front of her. A small frown played on her lips. "Yes, witnesses are starting to appear. I understand." Names of DigiDestined all over the world showed up on the computer screen in front of her. Almost all of them had missing under the name.
The woman shook her head, as it is shown that she is holding a phone to her ear. "No attacks so far, but not for long. Be careful."
The person on the other line started to talk but then started to break up as he tried to speak.
The woman checked her phone and saw the call had been disconnected. "Darn it..."
She closes her flip phone and looks out the window.
(Next day)
Tai and Kari were sitting in the living room eating breakfast as the news played on the T.V. The News lady had a frown on her face, as she was giving the news. "Reports of recent widespread blackouts in the Kanto region..."
Kari frowned a she looks up at her older brother. "Sorry I can't make it."
Tai waved her off. "Don't worry about it. Someone's birthday, right?"
Kari looks down at the table. "Yes." She answered truthfully.
"it's also been suggested that there could be a connection between the close emergence times and locations of the frequent electrical interferences." The newslady continued.
Kari looks back at Tai "Tai..."
Tai shook his head. "don't worry. I know you're all too busy to come see me play."
Kari raised an eyebrow. "So, you don't mind?"
Tai shook his head again. "No way!"
Kari frowned. "you do. There's no mistake. Or are you more disappointed?"
"Not over something silly like this. (Tai gets up from the table.)Thanks."
Kari holds up her hand. "Wait! Look..." She pointed to the television.
She looks at the T.V. as it shows a water bottle commercial. "Beaming freshness! You must try today!"
"What?" Tai asked.
Kari shook her head. "Just forget it. (She smiles) Good luck with the game."
Tai goes outside and gets his bike from the bike rack area. He then reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone. He starts sending a message to Sora.
Subject: Today
Message: Are you going to Matt's concert?
Tai sent the message. He then puts his phone back in his pocket. Then it buzzed. It was a message from Sora.
"Why do you ask?"
Sora
Tai begins to write a message.
"I have a soccer game. Kickoff is at 2pm at the Daibacho ground. Come if you have time..."
Tai deletes the last sentence and clicked send.
Tai walked out of the building's bike rack area, and notice a moving van on the sidewalk
A mover crew member looks over at Tai and said. "Sorry, we'll soon be out of your way."
Two girls stood next to each other as they watched the moving crew move the boxes in.
The first girl was somewhat shorter than the other one. She had long black hair that passed her shoulders. She had light tan skin. She wore a gray t-shirt with a pink jacket over it. She also wore black shorts and dress shoes.
The second girl looked like she could be her twin sister. She had the same hairstyle and similar skin tone. The two of them wore black rimmed glasses. But the other girl wore a white sleeved shirt and a black skirt.
Tai stared at the two girls as he walked past them.
The two girls nodded at him shyly and looked away.
(Sora's apartment)
"Tai should have asked me sooner. Then I would have extra time to prepare." Sora cried as she rummaged through her closet. Looking for something to wear. "Soccer is from 2pm, so even if I rush...It'll take thirty minutes to get to the concert venue."
Sora checks her laptop.
"Oh no!" She shouted as she noticed the time the concert starts. "What do I do? Leave right after the game and...When does Matt's band play their set? if they're first I'll never make it in time. What if I go see them first? What's wrong with me? Get it together!" She slaps her cheeks.
She falls to her knees. "Why do they do this to me? Enough. I won't go to either of them. Nope." She said in an annoyed tone. Sora looks at her alarm clock. "I'm running late!" She shouted in worry. Suddenly a sound of static caused Sora to jump. "What?" Her alarm clock time changed.
"What's going on?" She asked in shock. She smiled when she sees the result of her clock. "This might be a good sign. (She shakes her head) No, it's not!" She runs out of her room. But then runs back in. "Where's my cell phone?" She asked herself out loud.
Izzy and his parents are at a fancy restaurant. The three of them were wearing fancy clothes.
Izzy's cell phone rings.
"Excuse me." He whispered to his parents, as he grabbed his phone out of his pocket and answered it.
"It's me, Sora." The orange hair girl said on the other line.
"Sora?" Izzy asked in surprise.
"Sorry. Is this a good time to talk?" She asked.
"Forget that. Is this an emergency?"
Sora nods even though, she knows the boy couldn't see her. " Yes, it really is."
"Yes, okay. I've got that."
A waiter stood next to him. He was waiting patiently.
Izzy looks at him.
"<onion soup, please>"
The man nods
Sora blinks as she thought she misheard Izzy. "My phone is acting weird. That sounded like English."
"Maybe crossed lines. The same thing happen before. It starts with communications in the digital realm." Izzy suggested. Izzy points to his mother. "<Duck breast in orange sauce and oolong tea for her.> <Please>"
Sora shook her head. "It's no good. I don't get it. I'll call you back later." She informed him as she hung up.
"Hey, Sora? Hello?" Izzy looks up and laughs uneasily.
Lights flashed on as Matt's band begins to practice.
Matt holds a guitar in his hands.
T.K. walks up to his brother.
"Tickets are selling well. Fans all look excited about seeing your new band. What do you call yourselves? Not Teen-Age Wolves...?"
Matt smiles confidently. "Knife of day."
The two laugh.
The sound of static filled the room.
Matt and T.K. looked confused at the noise.
"That was strange..."
(Library)
Joe is writing away in his journal. And at the same time typing away on his laptop.
"What's going on?" He asked as an error message pop up on his screen.
Kuwagamon flew in the skies
(At Tai's game)
Skylar stood in the stands with a huge grin on her face. She wore a light blue sleeveless t-shirt, tan shorts, and black sneakers. She also wore a silver necklace around her neck. Underneath her eyes was black eye stickers with Tai's team number in the center of them. The girl had her hair tied up in a bun. And she was holding a bright green sign above her head which read. "Go Tai! Kick the other teams butt!"
"You got this Tai!" Skylar screamed at the top of her lungs. Davis blinked at how excited Skylar was. "Wow, I never knew you were this into sports." He laughed uneasily. Skylar waved him off. "My dad used to take me to football games all the time."
Tai smiled over at Skylar and Davis. As he and his teammates continue to stretch. He was happy that they were able to make it to his game.
A Teammate walked over to Tai, with a disappointed look. "I told you to bring your sister, no matter what."
Tai blinks. "What was I supposed to do? She had plans." He informed him.
His teammate shrugs "It doesn't matter. (He grins) Skylar is pretty cute and I heard she's single."
Skylar cupped her hands over her mouth. "Not in a million years!" She yelled.
Teammate frowned at this news. "Oh come on..." He cried.
Tai sweatdrops.
Another teammate points up in the sky. "Look!"
Tai looks in the direction his teammate pointed. "What's that?" he asked puzzled.
Kuwagamon flew overhead the soccer players.
Skylar gasped and dropped the sign she held. The redhead girl, and Davis stood up to their feet.
Skylar and Davis quickly ran over to Tai. He had fallen when the beetle Digimon flew over them.
"Did you see that!?" Skylar shouted in surprise.
"I think it wouldn't have been too hard for Tai to see. It swooped right over him." Davis helped Tai to his feet. The three of them turned and ran after the beetle.
The teammate watches as they all run off. "Tai!" He called after him.
Around the city, tons of different kinds of technology started to mess up.
Tai, Skylar, and Davis who was riding his own bike. Were all trying to keep up with Kuwagamon. The three of them stopped when they all saw the beetle Digimon go right through a portal.
"Why is Kuwagamon here!?" Tai asked aloud.
Skylar shook her head. "I have no idea...but I hope nothing wrong is going on in the digital world..." She pulled out her cell phone. On her home screen was a picture of a Labrador retriever, the dog was curled up in a ball as three yellow stars hung above it. She quickly turned off her phone and put it back in her pocket. She didn't have a signal anyways."
"We need to find that thing fast before it causes any damage," Davis suggested.
The three of them started to ride their bikes again. Trying to find any sign of the champion Digimon.
(Concert venue)
Matt and T.k. sat in the back room.
A News reporter was shown on a television that hung on the wall of the room "It will be open until the end of the month. We've just received breaking news."
Matt and T.k. looked at the T.v. with puzzled stares.
"An unidentified creature was spotted flying over the Odaiba, Toyko. (Kuwagamon was shown on the screen) That area also reports major electrical interferences. Issues with traffic lights and trains are causing delays and confusion."
Matt shook his head as he stared at the image on the television. "No, it can't be...."
T.K. frowned. "I think so" T.k. pulls out his cell phone. He calls someone real quick. "Look, about the concert. It may get canceled. Sorry about that. Catch you later."
Matt raised an eyebrow. "Your girlfriend?" He asked.
T.k. smiles and begins to speak in a teasing voice. "Don't worry. I still love you the most."
Matt rolled his eyes. "What are you talking about? Don't be stupid. (He tries to call Tai) I can't get through to Tai." He whispered.
T.K. shrugs. "I guess he's playing soccer now. (Back on his cell) Hello? Look about the concert."
End of part 1!
Thank you so much for reading!
I really had fun writing this new version. I wanted to add some more new details. And the addition of Simon, and the 02 cast! There were a few things in the movie series I wished that happen. But never did. One of those being the 02 cast appeared in the series...and it appears that they might not appear at all. Or have a small camo in the last movie. Which I don't like at all...
But anyways, I will be being adding new parts. And changing stuff around. I will keep the older version of my Tri fanfiction up until I catch up. But until then, you will just have to wait. But I all hope you like this new version of Digimon Adventure Tri!
Luna belongs to my good friend random_lover_anime
Digimon adventure tri belongs to taoianimation
