I was sitting on my couch. I had my knees pushed up to my chest. I had my arms wrapped around them, tears were shown in my hazel eyes, and a blanket covered my back. I stared sadly at the television in front of me.

A news women was speaking cheerfully about the news.

News women: Good morning! Summer vacation begins with bustling resorts and amusement parks. (Tai was shown on his bed. He was staring up into space) Here in Odaiba, students and families have been pouring in since morning. (Kari was out on the terrace, she was on the ground with her head in her lap) There are blue skies across the nation. It's warmer than usual, and it should be a refreshing day. Have a great day.

I sighed sadly and turned off the television. I stared across the room at a doggy bed that Labramon had used only once six years ago. Since then he would always sleep at the end of my bed...

Tears filled my field of vision and I threw the television remote at the doggy bed.

My brother Todd walked into the room with surprise.

Todd: Sky?

I ignored my brother and continued to stare at the doggy bed.

My brother Todd slowly walked over to me.

Todd: (smiling) You know why he couldn't tell you.

I shook my head. A tiny bit of anger was inside of me.

Me: No! I don't know why! I thought Labramon was supposed to be my friend! Why would he keep this hidden from me?!

My brother Todd hugged me.

Todd: Because he knew you would never allow him to be rebooted. And that was the only way he could protect you...by sacrificing himself.

I cried out from the word, and tears started to stream down my face. My younger brother and I both hugged each other as we both started to sob for Labramon.

(Pool)

Kids were laughing happily as they splashed each other with water.

Jeremy stood in his swimming tracks near the pool. He didn't know if he should jump in the pool or not. He looked sad as he stared down at the shining water surface.

(Maki's office)

Maki: It's been about a week (Sora is shown at the mall accepting a flower from a little girl) The quantum sea still hasn't materialized in the digital world as of now. (Mimi was at a jewelry store, she was looking at necklaces on sell lazily.)

Daigo: Is that so? \

(Izzy's office)

Izzy walked towards his computer.

Cassie followed after him. She held a notepad in her hands and a coffee in her other. She set the mug down in front of Izzy and he smiled at her.

Izzy: Thank you.

Cassie nodded and grabbed a chair to sit next to him.

Daigo's voice: There was a massive trade-off...

Maki: I know...

(Prep school)

Joe was sitting at a table with a paper held in front of him. He didn't look like he was paying very much attention to it.

(Tai's apartment)

Tai opened the door to his apartment and stopped when he noticed Matt standing outside waiting for him.

Maki's voice: Those kids just have to move on.

Luna was shown playing volleybay with a few other girls.

One girl shouted at Luna

Girl: Hey Luna! They ball is coming to you.

Luna looked out of place as she stared off into the distance. The ball landed to the right of her and a whistle was blown.

Girl: Thanks a lot! You lost us the game!

Luna bit her lip as she walked away from her and off the court.

Maki's voice: Move forward

(Izzy's office)

Izzy stared at his computer where the words "Reboot complete" were still written across the screen. Izzy quickly turned in his chair when he thought he saw Tentomon's reflection on the computer screen. But no one was behind him.

Cassie: Is everything okay?

Izzy nodded.

Izzy: Yeah...

Maki's voice: In the blink of an eye. New buildings will be up within six months, and...(T.K. was standing at the pier, with his hands in his pockets) Odaiba will be just like before. In a year, everyone will forget what happened there. No one in the world will even mention digimon anymore.

Daigo: Those kids, too?

(Near Tai's apartment)

Tai started to walk his bike away from the bike rack. Tai stopped when he noticed Kari running over to him.

Maki: That's a part of becoming an adult.

Kari handed Tai his water bottle.

Maki stared at the two of them from her apartment window. She had a frown across her face.

(Izzy's apartment)

Izzy was typing away on his computer, while Cassie scratch down some notes on her notepad.

T.K. was picking up trash in the room.

T.K.: To the digital world?

Izzy stood up from his chair and stared at T.K.

Izzy: Did your D3 revert back to it's original state?

T.K. shook his head.

Izzy: If the digital world rebooted...it should restore back to before the distortion emerged. Would've been great if the D3 reverted. We'll have to find another way.

Cassie nodded.

Cassie: Their is always another way.

T.K. walked over to the two of them.

T.K.: What do we do then?

Izzy: (Confused) What do we do?

T.K.: Even if we meet them, they won't remember us.

Cassie frowned at this. She stopped writing down notes in her notepad, and held a hand over her heart.

T.K.: What should we tell them? I...I couldn't protect Patamon. I couldn't do anything!

Izzy: So you'll just stand by and forget! It's not about what you couldn't do. It's about what you will do.

Cassie nodded.

Cassie: Izzy is right...even though if they don't remember us. We have to find them...(tears shook in her eyes) I have to see Cupimon...

(Bridge sidewalk)

T.K. was walking down the sidewalk with his head down. He looked up when he thought he saw Patamon sitting on the edge of the bridge. The bat waved at him happily. T.K. turned towards him but Patamon disappeared in thin air. He turned back on the sidewalk and continued to walk again.

Izzy and Cassie met Tai near a factory. The two of them were trying to talk to Tai but Tai continued to shake his head at the two of them. Not listening to a single word that either of them said. Tai walked past them and Izzy and Cassie looked at each other.

The next day Izzy tried calling Mimi on her cell phone. But Mimi ended the phone call quickly. Izzy then tried calling Sora, but Sora ignored her phone ringing as she sat in her bed.

Cassie was then shown talking to me. Cassie was holding her hands together as she talked quickly to me. But I shook my head and looked down at the ground.

A dog's barks was heard. I quickly turned on my heels to the noise and held my arms outstretch.

Me: (crying) Labramon!

But I slowly allowed my arms to fall to my side when I noticed a little girl was playing around with her golden retriever. The dog was a small little puppy. The puppy was in the little's girls arm, and the dog was licking her. This caused the girl to laugh, which then caused the dog to bark happily.

I walked past Cassie quickly, as tears started to form in my eyes.

Cassie then noticed Jeremy on a run and chased after him. It took her ten minutes to finally catch up to him when he was taking a short break from running.

After Cassie was finish talking to him, Jeremy sighed and said.

Jeremy: I'm sorry...I'm to busy training for track team...

Jeremy then raced off away from her. Cassie frowned and pulled out her phone. She texted her sister Luna, but Luna wouldn't reply to any of her messages, Cassie frowned and put her phone back in her pocket.

Matt was riding down the street on his moped, T.K. was sitting on the back holding onto his brother.

Joe was in his living room eating a bowl of roman noodles.

Mimi came to visit Izzy at his office. But Izzy wasn't there. Mimi stared at the empty bottles of oolong tea and walked out.

Tai was then shown kicking a soccer ball at his apartment building. Each time it rolled back he would kick it back to the wall.

(next day)

Izzy called Maki on his cell phone.

(Meiko's apartment)

Meiko sat at her desk when she got a message from Mimi.

Mimi: (text) Rain! I got wet!

Meiko looked at her window at the rain.

Tai was standing undercover of the apartment building he lived at

Izzy's voice rang in his head.

Izzy: Don't you want to see them?!

Cassie: We have to make sure their okay!

Tai looked down at the ground sadly.

Tai: I wanna see them...

Tai: Agumon and the rest!

Cassie: We have to find a way to get back there!

A sound of a whistle was heard and Tai dropped the soccer ball he was holding in his hand.

Kari stared at her brother sadly as she walked over to him with her umbrella.

Tai: Agumon.

Tai ran out in the rain.

Kari: Tai?!

Kari raced after him.

The two of them stopped when they made it to cover at a building nearby.

The two of them could hear the sound of running in different directions.

Joe and Mimi were running down the bridge sidewalk.

Jeremy and I were running across the street towards them.

Izzy and T.K. were sprinting out of the park.

Luna and Cassie got out of their mother's car as it pulled up near the building.

Matt and Sora were also shown running out of the park.

All of us group together under the building.

Tai looked up at the sky, as the rain started to stop. The sun was starting to shine above us.

Tai: If we wait...if we wait for "someday", we'll end up becoming adults!

Izzy: Tai...

All of us began to smile.

I grabbed Joe's hand.

Izzy: Let's go!

Cassie had tears of joy streaming down her face as she looked at the others.

Each one of us pulled out our digivices.

(Meiko's apartment)

Meiko answered the door when the doorbell was heard. She blinked her eyes as she stared at T.K., and her sisters.

Meiko: T.K.?

(Dagio's class)

All of us were standing together as we looked at Maki.

Maki: You're serious right?

Tai: Yeah

Maki: We have just one chance.

Even if we open the gate, it'll be unstable. There's no guarantee you can come back.

I wrapped my arms around Joe's neck.

Me: That won't be a problem for us. Right Joe?

Joe blushed.

Joe: Right.

Daigo: (shouting) The risk is too great! Guys, you should discuss this more first...

Matt: I'm going

Daigo: But...

Joe: What's the point saying that now...when we did this in elementary school.

Jeremy: Technically it was middle school for me.

Matt: It's better than before, we're determined now.

I nodded quickly and squealed.

Me: You know what's the best part! We get to go to the digital world without being mentors! It's going to be like old times!

Jeremy: As long as Etemon hasn't been rebooted...I'm fine.

I shivered at the mention of the monky.

Me: Honestly guys...if Elvis is back...I quit digimon

Mimi rolled her eyes and wrapped her arm around my neck.

Mimi: As if. (Mimi pulls out her cell phone) If you don't go with us, I'll make sure you sing in front of your new fan base.

Me: (confused) fan base?

Mimi pulls of the video of me singing the song angel with a shotgun. In just four days, my video got ten million views, and ten thousand likes.

I started to fall unconscious, but Mimi caught me.

Mimi: (teasing) So?

Me: I'm going

Mimi: That's what I thought.

Maki caught our attention when she stood in front of my friends and I.

Maki: I'll go prepare. Go wait where the reboot occurred.

Daigo: Maki!

Maki starts going through Daigo's lunch pal.

Maki: Mr. Nishijima, please take them there. (she pulls out a donut) I'll contact security and pull them away.

Maki left Daigo's office.

Daigo looked around at all of us.

Daigo: Is this...really okay?

All of us nodded.

(Outside)

Maki walked around the corner of the school and took a bite of her donut. She smiled almost evilly afterwards.

(Meiko's apartment)

Meiko: I can't go.

Meiko, her sisters, and T.K. sat at the living room table. Each of them had a glass of orange juice in front of them.

Cassie: Meiko! You have to go with us.

Luna: Don't you want to see Meico?

Meiko hesitated, she didn't look so sure.

T.K.: Why not?

Meiko looks down at the table.

Meiko: I have no right to go.

T.K.: What do you mean?

Cassie: Meiko! You have every right to go with us!

Meiko slowly shook her head at her twin sister.

Meiko: Everything was Meico's...It was our fault.

Cassie and Luna both slowly started to frown. T.K. could see that two of them knew the truth as well.

T.K. : It was Meicoomon's fault?

Meiko: The infection came from Meico.

T.K. gasped from this information.

(flashback)

A young Meiko sat alone at the living room table coloring in a picture. She could hear a digital beeping noise coming from outside. She got up and headed towards the door of the house. Meiko walked outside and headed in the direction of the noise.

Meiko walked into the woods and stopped when she heard rustling in the bushes. Slowly a cat like creature walked from out of the bushes, the cat digimon was covered in purple mist, and it's eyes were glowing dark green.

The cat creature closed it's eyes, and the purple mist faded away from her body. When she open them again she stared closely at Meiko.

Meicoomon: Me-I  (The cat walked slowly towards her) Mei...ko

Meiko smiled at the cat creature.

Meicoomon slowly got to her feet. But nearly fell over, but Meiko was able to catch her. Meiko held the cat close to her and felt an object appear in her hand. She looked down to see a small blue device.

(present)

Meiko: That was how Meico and I met. (She looks towards Cassie and Luna) Our father was a member of a research facility. He told us that Meico was a special digimon. I heard that Meico had some special powers. But...I had no idea things would turn out like this. T.K., I'm so sorry! I tried to tell you, but I couldn't. I...I...

T.K. looked at Meiko with a serious look.

T.K.: You had a hard time too.

Meiko looked up quickly.

T.K.: It's not about whose fault it is. It's about what we do now!

Meiko gripped her hand tightly.

T.K.: And what we should do is go to meet Patamon and them!

Cassie nodded and placed a comforting hand on Meiko's shoulder.

Meiko shook her sister's hand off and yelled at T.K.

Meiko: Quit with the kind words! I'd rather be told it's my fault, be cursed at and blamed...I'll feel more at ease!

Meiko got up from the table and ran away from the three.

Luna: Meiko!

Meiko ran into her room and slammed the door behind her. The lock clicked a brief second later.

Meiko: (crying) I'm sorry...I'm so sorry!

Cassie placed a hand over her mouth as she listened to her sister cry,

Meiko: This is really, really hard...But at the same time, I'm kind of relieved because everything is over now...now that I've confessed everything I feel relieved...I have no right to see them...Just...leave me alone.

Cassie and Luna exchange sad looks but quickly stared at T.K. as he walked towards Meiko's bedroom door.

T.K.: I can't do that! You are Meicoomon's partner...and you are our friend. We're waiting for you.

T.K. gestured for Cassie and Luna to follow him.

When T.K. and Luna walked out of the apartment. Cassie turned back and whispered.

Cassie: Please come with us...sis...we need you as well...

Cassie heard her sister crying again. She sighed sadly and walked outside. She locked up and looked at Luna and T.K.

Luna: Let's go.

(Pyramid building)

All my friends and I stood inside a crime scene.

Joe: (shocked) The origin of the infection...was Meicoomon?!

Matt looked towards Daigo.

Matt: Did you know?

Daigo: I'm sorry I haven't told you...

Mimi: It's hard for MeiMei, isn't it?

Cassie: (nodding) She locked herself in her room again...

Joe: If she told us sooner...

T.K.: Could you have? I couldn't...

I nodded to agree with T.K., I placed a fist over my heart.

Me: It was the same with me, with Labramon...I...I just didn't want to see him get hurt.

T.K. :(nods) I mean...I couldn't say anything about Patamon's infection.

All of us gather around Izzy as he set up his laptop.

Jeremy: (mumbling) I hope this works...because going to the elementary school computer lab is not the best choice for a digital gate...

I Skylar slap, Jeremy in the back of his head.

Jeremy: Ouch!

Me: (muttering) Don't say stupid things...

Matt: Are the coordinates for the digital world accurate?

Izzy continue to type on his laptop.

Izzy: I got all the available data and also advice from Maki.

My friends and I pull out our digivices.

We all looked up when we saw Maki walking towards us. We gasped as we saw her holding up a black D3, and a communicator.

Kari: D3...

Maki: We independently proceeded with the analysis, Though the analysis still isn't complete, if the D3 can synchronize with your powers, the gate can probably open.

Sora: (confused) Our powers?

Maki plus in the black D3 and communicator.

I held up a hand before Maki spoke.

Me: Quick question. Where did you get the D3 Maki?

Maki blinked her eyes.

Maki: I heard their is ice cream in the digital world.

My eyes grew wide.

Me: Open this gate now!

My parents can't follow me there.

Maki looks at Sora

Maki: Using the power of your crests could open the gate.

We all nodded and held out our digivices. As we gather around in a circle around the laptop. Lights start to surround all of us. The crest of courage blazed behind Tai, the crest of friendship glowed behind Matt, the crest of reliability glowed behind Joe. The crest of Hope glowed behind T.K., the crest of knowledge glowed behind Izzy, the crest of sincerity glowed behind Mimi, the crest of light glowed behind Kari, the crest of Justice glowed brightly behind me, the crest of protection glowed behind Luna, the crest of forgiveness glowed behind Cassie, the crest of Honor glowed behind Jeremy, and finally the crest of love appeared behind Sora.

A bright green light shot out from the computer and flew into the sky. A huge yellow portal opened up above our heads. We all stared at the lights that would probably lift us up to the portal.

Matt look towards Tai

Matt: You coming?

Tai nods.

Tai: Yeah

Daigo: Take care everyone.

Mimi: What's wrong?

Sora: it's a bit scary...

Joe grabbed my hand and I stood by his side, as he spoke to the others.

Joe: I've been thinking about this since Gomamon disappeared. That I should work hard so he can't laugh at me next time I see him.

Sora gasped at this.

T.K.: It's all right.

We all walked towards the portal. Slowly we all stepped into the light. I held onto Joe's hand as we both were levitated up along with the others.

Labramon here I come.

Daigo and Maki watch all of us fly through the portal.

(Meiko's apartment)

Meiko gasped as a glass of orange juice fell over. She went to pick up some of the shards.

Meiko: Ouch

Meiko withdrew her hand as she noticed a small bit of blood was at the end of her finger.

(Flashback)

Glass was shown on a window floor.

Meicoomon: Mei, I'm sorry.

Meiko ran over as Meicoomon began to touch the glass.

Meiko: Ah! Don't touch the glass! It'll be bad if you cut your finger.

Meiko begins to hug Meicoomon.

Meiko reaches down to pick up a piece of glass and she pulls back quickly when she cuts herself.

Meicoomon: (worried) Mei! You got hurt!

Meiko: It's fine. Just a scratch.

Meiko put a Band-Aid over her cut.

Meiko: See? I'm fine now.

Meicoomon: Does it hurt?

Meiko shakes her head.

Meiko: No, not at all.

Meicoomon looks down at the ground.

Meicoomon: Mei...I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. You got hurt because of me...

Meiko smiled.

Meiko: It's okay, I'm strong.

Meicoomon: Mei! I love you!

Meicoomon runs into Meiko's open arms and hugged her.

(present)

Meiko stared at the cut on her finger.

Meiko: Meico...

Meiko heard the doorbell ring.

*later*

Meiko was shown sprinting down the sidewalk. She headed towards the pyramid buildings. She fell to her knees when she saw no one was there waiting for her.

(digital world)

Joe: How nostalgic.

My friends and I all stood in the woods. Each of us were looking around in the area we were in.

Luna: Cassie stay close to me.

Cassie slowly looked towards her sister and nodded.

Mimi: (cheerfully) Seriously! It's just like before!

Izzy: Even though it rebooted...it doesn't mean the structure of the digital world has changed. Just...

Jeremy: If only if I could amour digivovle...but all those amour on my D3 are gone...so looks like no more for me.

Tai looked towards Izzy.

Tai: What do you mean?

Izzy: Well, something fells off...

Sora: (confused) Off?

Cassie: Like what?

Izzy: I can't say exactly what has changed...

Kari: Yeah

Tai: You too, Kari?

Kari: Something feels weird...

We all started to walk further in the woods. Unknown to us the digimon emperor watched us from behind a tree. A smirk was across his face.

*later*

My friends and I were walking into an open clearing.

A loud roar was heard above us.

Joe : What?!

Joe quickly stood in front of me, protecting me as we all turned in the direction of the sound.

We all gasped as we saw Alphamon being attacked by this cloaked metal dragon knight digimon.

Izzy stared at the new digimon with wide eyes.

Izzy: I've never seen that digimon!

Me: I don't think any of us have!

The two digimon fired attacks at each other. Some of the attacks flew over to us.

We quickly ran away from the battle.

Luna: Keep on running!

My friends and I were sliding down a huge downward slope.

Joe: Looks like we survived.

Me: Thankfully...

Izzy: Besides, I'm curious about that digimon.

Izzy opens up his laptop.

Sora; They just started fighting suddenly.

Izzy: That's not what I'm saying-there!

Cassie: Jesmon?

Matt: What's on your mind?

Izzy: Those two must be in their mega evolution.

Tai: Certainty.

Joe: (confused) Shouldn't the digimon be back at digiegg or baby if there was a reboot?

Izzy quickly tapped away on his laptop.

Izzy: Did those guys evade the reboot?

Cassie: It would make since why those two are still in their mega forms.

Izzy: Or something could have made them rapidly digivovle.

Cassie: I never thought it like that way.

Mimi: Forget that! What should we do if we meet other digimon like that?! Palmon and them aren't here.

Jeremy: (mumbling) Mimi has a point. Without our digimon...we pretty much are powerless.

Kari hushed the two of them.

Tai: What, Kari?

Kari: I can hear...

We all heard a whistle throughout the woods.

Joe: The sound of a whistle!

Joe pulled me along in the direction of the noise.

The others quickly followed after us.

We ran though the woods.

Jeremy: The noise is getting closer!

T.K.: Over there!

We all saw a huge lake in front of us. And sitting on a boulder was a tokomon blowing on a whistle.

T.K.: Tokomon...?

Tokomon looked at all of us.

Soon all of the other intraining digimon showed up around Tokomon. Including two other digimon we haven't seen before. A blue puff ball like creature, and a small fairy like digimon with large ears.

Luna: Wanyamon...

Cassie( whispering) Calumon...

Jeremy looked at the eleven digimon in front of us wordlessly. He was staring at them closely.

Jeremy: Where is Leomon?

All of us stared around for the lion digimon, or a younger stage of the champion digimon. But no one could see him anywhere.

Tai watched as Koromon bounced back and forth.

Tai: Koromon...

Koromon stared at all of us.

Koromon: Who are you?

All the in training digimon looked at us.

All my friends and I gasped.

I looked towards Paomon who had a small frown on his face. Tears started to shake in my eyes as I stared at him. A blank stare was across his face as he looked straight at me.

Me: Paomon...

Tokomon blew on this whistle again.

Nyraomon started to bounce up and down angrily.

Nyraomon: Give it back! Give it back!

Tokomon: I want to play more!

T.K.: What a nice sound. What's with the whistle?

Nyraomon: It's mine! It's mine!

Kari frowned.

Kari: it makes such pretty sounds!

Cassie looked at Calumon with a cheerful grin.

Cassie: Hello there.

Calumon returned the smile.

Calumon: HI!

The in training digimon waved at her.

Cassie smiled at the digimon and the digimon tilted her head.

Calumon: (whispering) Can I tell you something. I really like your smile.

Cassie's eyes grew wide at this. Tears started to shake in her eyes.

Calumon: Hey! Please don't cry. ( a huge smile shows on her face) DO YOU WANT TO BE FRIENDS?!

Cassie slowly began to smile again, and quickly nods.

Calumon burst with excitement and flew towards Cassie's open arms. But she was stopped when a figure jumped out from the woods.

We all gasped as the figure nearly attacked Cassie but grabbed Calumon from the air, and held it close to his chest.

Jeremy: Elecmon?

Elecmon now stood in front of the in training digimon.

Elecmon: Listen to me good. You are not hurting these digimon with me around.

Jeremy held up his hands.

Jeremy: You got it all wrong. We mean none of you harm.

Elecmon looked doubtful at first but Calumon flew out of his arms and flew over to Cassie. Calumon wrapped her tiny arms around Cassie's neck and hugged her.

Calumon: (laughing) Hug attack!

Cassie giggled.

Sora: Yokomon!

Sora ran over to the in training digimon.

But the rest of the in training digimon hid behind Elecmon. Who motioned for them to hide behind the boulder.

Yokomon peered out from the side and looked at Sora like she was a monster.

Yokomon: Who are you?

Izzy walked over to the digimon.

Izzy: Hello. I don't know much about...you guys, or this world. Would you teach me?

All the digimon stared to come out of their hiding place.

(Mountain)

The digimon emperor stared down at the digidestined, with a smirk still plastered on his face. He turned when he heard a twig snap.

Maki stood behind him.

Digimon emperor: A deeply emotional reunion.  

The digimon emperor's body started to glitch until a younger version of Gennai took his place. A evil smirk was on his face.

Maki smiled back at him.

My friends and I now stood in front of the digimon who had lined up.

Tai: Guys...we were able to meet you again.

Meicoomon watched from the bushes. Her eyes shook.

Meicoomon: Mei...ko

End of chapter 3! I did it! I caught up with Tri! No more updates for this book until chapter 4 of tri comes out in February! But I will post the trailer for that movie. I hope you all have a great day!
