TW: Fluff, Teen!Cast

Title: ~Give Me Your Hand~ 

Sjin beams across the makeshift cardboard box-come-table at Xephos, thumb sliding through his music collection and hoping that the portable speakers don’t run out of batteries before he has a chance to play him a song. It’s mid-summer, school holidays, and Xephos is sweltering in his blue and white t-shirt and dark brown shorts. Sjin seems oblivious to the weather in his denim dungarees and white t-shirt, and as usual his hair seems impervious to any sort of humidity. Xephos pouts jealously at Sjin’s always perfect hair, smoothing his own heat-fluffed brown mess consciously.

“Found it!” Sjin cries, pressing play and standing - offering his hands to Xephos as the first few beats come through the speakers. Xephos’ face contorts in recognition and he beams up at Sjin, taking the boy’s hands and standing with him to press a quick kiss to his boyfriend’s mouth

“Sjin, I love this song!” Xephos’ blue eyes are even brighter than usual and Sjin can’t let himself feel disappointed that the other boy has already heard the song when he locks his fingers in between Xephos’ own and swings their arms in rhythm with the tune thumping out of the slightly tinny sounding speakers. The two can’t really dance, but they have a good stab at keeping in time with each other and the song playing - laughing too much to properly care about their moves anyhow. Occasionally Sjin will peck a kiss onto Xephos’ lips, and in turn the other brunette will giggle when Sjin’s poor attempt at facial hair tickles his face. The song draws to a close and the two stay standing, arms around each other and faces close but not touching.

“Sjin?” Xephos whispers to his boyfriend in the now quiet of their treehouse.

“Mmhmm?” Xephos brushes his nose against Sjin’s, and the kiss that follows is different from the others that they’ve shared. There is a new spark in this kiss, a new taste that neither boy can place, and some years later Sjin will tell people that this is when they really fell in love. Though neither of them admits it for a long while.
