TW: Stuff is hinted

Title: ~Camping~

Nilesy’s legs hung off the back of the pick-up. He watched as Sjin struggled with pitching the tent.

“Uh, need any help over there buddy?” he slid off the truck and started walking towards him.

“No! I can do this all by myself! I promised you wouldn’t have to do any of the work!” Sjin popped his head out from the back of the tent, wiping the sweat off of his brow.

“Oh uh, alright then Sjin, You don’t need to though, tent’s are easier to pitch with help”

“I can do it!” he yelled back, a hint of struggle in his voice.

Nilesy shook his head and hopped back on the tailgate. This was their first camping trip. They had thought about going camping for a while now but they always put it off. Nilesy sighed as he watched Sjin finally pop the tent into place.

“Does this mean we can unpack finally?” he laughed.

“Yeah, Get the sleeping bags and stuff!” Sjin was laying inside the tent, exhausted.

It was a hot August afternoon. There were barely any clouds in the sky to block the sun. Nilesy scolded himself for not bringing any sunblock.

He waddled into the tent, arms full of blankets and sleeping bags. He dumped them onto Sjin and fell on top of him.

“Hey!” Sjin’s voice was muffled under all the fluff.

Nilesy rolled off and pushed the blankets off of Sjin.

Sjin curled up to him and pressed his nose against his.

“God Sjin it’s so hot” Nilesy whined.

“I know I’m the hottest!” Sjin burst out in a deep laughter.

Nilesy rolled his eyes, “Why is it so hot Sjin? I thought camping was supposed to be romantic and comfortable, you know?”

Sjin smiled and sat up, pulling Nilesy up with him, “It’ll be okay, alright? Once night comes it’ll cool down.”

Nilesy looked at his watch, “ugh it’s only 2pm Sjin, night won’t be here for a while” he collapsed onto him.

Sjin giggled and ran his hand through Nilesy’s hair. Well, We’ll finish setting up then go to the beach, alright?”

Nilesy crawled out of the tent, “Okay, you set up the bed though, it’s too stuffy in there for me”

Sjin sighed and put the bed together while Nilesy set up the chairs by the empty fire pit.

There were bugs everywhere, Nilesy thought, too many bugs, he hated bugs. Sjin came out of the tent and motioned towards the truck, “You ready?”

Nilesy hopped in shotgun and turned the air conditioner on high immediately as Sjin started the car. “It’s too damn hot” he complained again.

“Oh come on, it’ll be great for the beach!” Sjin reassured him.

Nilesy slumped down in the seat, enjoying the blast of cool air for the short ride to the beach.

Sjin pulled into the Beach parking lot, but pretty much every parking spot was taken. “Oh my, looks like the beach is the place to be today” he laughed.

“Fucking typical” Nilesy slumped further into his seat and scoffed.

After about 10 minutes of driving in circles they finally got a spot. Nilesy hissed as the air conditioning stopped and he had to get out of the truck.

They grabbed their swimming trunks and followed the path to the beach.

“Oh boy,” Sjin whispered.

They couldn’t even see the beach, it was just a mass of half naked people everywhere, screaming and running around.

Nilesy rolled his eyes, “Oh this is so much better than our quiet campsite”

“Hey it’ll be fine, look, there’s a spot way over there that’s not taken!”

They walked over to the small patch of grass. It was the farthest spot from the beach.

“Oh great, look how close we are to the beach!” Nilesy scoffed.

“Oh come on now! You have to stop being so pessimistic! It’s ruining the mood!”

“I’m ruining the mood? I think the mood is ruining the mood.”

“You know what I mean” Sjin sighed, “Look, lets just go to the changing booth and get into our trunks so we can swim, there’s a area of the water where no one is swimming.”

“Fine” Nilesy and Sjin walked over to the changing booth, and got into their trunks. After returning their clothes to their spot, they walked over to the beach. The sand was hot and Nilesy had to skip over to the water to prevent his feet from burning. Sjin laughed and ran after him, tackling him into the water.

They swam around in the crowded lake, splashing and dunking each other. Time seemed to speed on by as more and more people left the beach, until they were the last people in the water.

Sjin swam over to Nilesy and gave him one last dunk. When he came out of the water, he grabbed his hair and pulled him in for a kiss. A flurry of hands running over each others wet bodies. Nilesy broke the kiss and leaned his forehead against Sjin’s.

“I’m all wrinkly,” he laughed.

“So?”

“So I’m like an old man.”

“Well I’ll be an old man with you.”

After a few more soft moments in the lake, they walked back to their patch of grass to find that someone had taken their clothes.

“You’re shitting me,” Nilesy stared at the empty patch.

Sjin put his arm around him, “At least you wont be so hot with just your trunks, Niles.”

“Well now I’m cold! The sun is going down and I’m all wet!” he complained.

Sjin wrapped both his arms around Nilesy then, and walked that way with him all the way back to the truck.

They drove back to the campsite with the air conditioning off.

When the got back to their site, Nilesy immediately ran out of the truck and into the tent, wrapping himself in the blankets.

“Hey, start the fire okay?” he yelled as he heard Sjin walking toward the tent.

Sjin smiled at the sight of Nilesy wrapped up in blankets like a little burrito.

He went over to the pit and started a fire. After about 30 minutes of trial and error he succeeded at making a perfect fire. He went back to the truck to get the hot dogs and sticks.

“Nilesy, it’s all ready!” He sat in one of the chairs.

Nilesy shuffled out of the tent with the blankets still wrapped around him. He scooted the chair right next to Sjin’s and plopped down in it. He rested his head on Sjin’s shoulders and sighed.

Sjin gave him a stick with a hot dog poked on it. They silently roasted their hot dogs together. Just enjoying each others company.

Nilesy took his hot dog out of the fire and looked disappointingly at it.

“I burned it” he said softly.

Sjin took his out of the fire and switched sticks with him.

“Here, mine’s just right”

“No no, I can’t take yours”

“No really, I like my dogs… hot” Sjin laughed shamelessly at his own joke. Nilesy joined along.

“Okay” He smiled as they ate.

Nilesy looked up at the sky. “Whoa, look Sjin, I didn’t even know there were that many stars!”

Sjin looked up, “Oh yeah, it’s cause the lights block the stars light in the cities.”

“It’s really kind of pretty here” Nilesy sighed happily.

“Yeah”

“I’m glad we went camping, Sjin”

“I’m glad too, I like spending time with you, even if you complain every 3 minutes” Sjin nudged him with his elbow.

“Hey!” Nilesy laughed, and rested his head on Sjin again.

“So it turned out kind of nice, right?”

“Yeah” Nilesy smiled

”I told you it would” Sjin kissed the top of his head.

Nilesy leaned back, “How about we take the rest of tonight into the tent? Maybe I’ll share some of my blankets with you” he winked.

“I don’t think we’ll need any blankets, it’ll get pretty hot in there naturally” Sjin winked back.

Nilesy smiled at him for a second, before breaking out in a sprint to the tent, “Race you there!”

“Hey no fair you started before me!” Sjin took off after him.
