Chapter 21
Over the summer Maggie gained the same number of clients, ten, that way she could receive a summer as well as the other students. She also did a lot of studying over the summer, she and Cedric studied together at every chance they got. Sirius Black escaped Azkaban, but Maggie was not afraid. With the burnt symbol in her hand, she kept it wrapped up, she did not want many people to know about it.

Dear Maggie,
You should come over one day, maybe the Durselys would lay off me.
- Harry
Dear Maggie,
Eygpt is amazing! Mom got mad at us for trying to lock Percy in a mummy case
- Weasley Twins
Dear Diggory,
I will beat you in exams next year
- Hermione
Dear Magdog,
The burn on your hand probably does not mean a thing. You are going to be okay. Come over after you go to Marcus Flint's house, we are watching Jurassic Park together
- Justin
Dear bestie,
We have a lot more money to raise, but you are working hard. Don't forget to save yourself some me-time. Also, do not go looking for trouble! By trouble, I mean Sirius Black
- Bestie
Dear Mag,
I have the upgraded posters of our business, should I send them to you or Mandy
- Hannah Banana
Dear Little Diggory
Thanks for not charging me for the painting. I guess dating your brother, is one of the great aspects
- Cho
Dear Mag,
Why were you found with tears frozen on your face when you were petrified? You can't keep ignoring my question
- Blaise
Dear Maggie,
Have you tried any ointments? Any cremes to get rid of the burn? I find it quite odd and spooky that it's in the s shape and it is a snake
- Nev
Dear Ravenclaw Princess,
Can you please possibly fit one more name on your list?
- Slytherin Prince
Dear Artist
Thank you for making time for me this summer, the painting is on fleek
- Alicia Spinnet
Dear Mags,
This is going to be a beautiful cover-up of me being home when I am not even home
- Lee Jordan
Dear Maggie
Thank you for the painting! It looks almost as real as my pictures! Maybe we should start having them moving!"
- Colin Creevy
Dear Mags
The painting is spectacular, I am spectacular, and we should be spectacular
- Zacharius Smith
Dear Maggie,
You are truly talented, I can not wait till you open shop, I will be your first customer
- Ernie MacMillian
Dear Maggie,
Teach me how to paint, I like to paint as well! Let's get together and paint! We can look out for nargles while we are at it!
- Luna Lovegood
Dear Mags,
I do highly appreciate the discount, it's a good thing we are roommates! Isobel is irritating I know, do not pay attention to her
- Lisa Turpin
Dear Diggory,
I am only doing this because Malfoy said so, you still a filthy blood traitor
- Crabbe
Dear Filth,
Can you do the painting at your house, I do not want a blood traitor stepping into my house, then just mail it to me. I already sent the money
- Goyle
Dear Diggory,
Remember what we talked about? If you speak of what happened, then I will make your third-year hell
- Marcus Flint
*****
Maggie was in the Flint home, she was doing the painting. The only people there were her and Marcus.
" So why are you still at Hogwarts?" Marcus asked once the painting was finished, he was standing next to the stool she was sitting on.
" I am not done with my education," Maggie answered.
" If I did not get held back, I would have been done too," Marcus groaned.
" I'm sure you will get the dream that you are dreaming," Maggie assured him.
" Then why is taking so long?" Marcus demanded.
" Some just need more time than others, " Maggie said. " No harm in that."
" And some need less time," Marcus said as he placed his hand on her shoulder. " Especially for someone as smart as you."
" I want the full experience at Hogwarts," Maggie said as she pushed off his hand. " And besides one is never done learning."
" Stop resisting," Marcus ordered. " It will only make it harder for me."
" But I do not want this," Maggie said as she got up.
"Sure you," Marcus tried to persuade her.
" No, I am sure that I do not," Maggie said.
" So you would rather spend time with that Mudblood Justin Finch, than a respectable Pureblood like me?" Marcus demanded.
" He is not a mudblood!" Maggie growled. " And my answer is yes." SMACK Maggie gasped and touched her cheek. " You monster." He then ripped the wrap off her hand, she covered it with her other hand.
" I am no monster," Marcus argued. " You are the one that is willing to hang out with filth!"
" He is not filth!" Maggie argued. " He is one amazing human being!" Marcus raised his hand. " Don't you dare."
" Then let me feel you," Marcus ordered.
" No is no Marcus," Maggie growled. She snapped her fingers and disappeared out of sight, she heard a body hit the floor from upstairs.
" DIGGORY!" Marcus shouted angrily from upstairs. She snapped her fingers and all her stuff was together, she grabbed the money on the table and ran to the fireplace. She went directly to Justin's house.
" Maggie!" Justin gasped when he saw her. " What happened to you?"
" Marcus Flint," Maggie sniffed. " I should pay attention to my paintings more."
" No, " Justin denied." People should not take advantage of you. Go in the living room and pop in Jurassic Park." Maggie then as she was told, soon Justin came into the room with some frozen peas. " What did he do?"
" He tried to advance on me, in a way I did not want it," Maggie answered.
" Are you alright?" Justin asked. " If I am making you uncomfortable, I can go sit on the other end of the couch."
" I'm fine I think," Maggie answered. " But you can still sit next to me, your shoulder can hold up the frozen peas."
" Using me for my shoulder?" Justin asked jokingly.
" Yes," Maggie giggled. Justin grabbed a blanket and put it over them. He then sat back and Maggie leaned against him, his shoulder keeping the frozen peas in place.
" Now remember to keep it on every five minutes and take it off every five minutes," Justin advised. " Do not want to get frostbite."
" Yes, sir," Maggie mocked him.
" Just press play," Justin grumbled. Maggie giggled as she was told, and they began to watch the previews. " Your hand wrap."
" Marcus tore it off," Maggie said as put it under the blanket.
" You know you do not have to hide that with me right?" Justin questioned.
" It could be dangerous," Maggie said.
" Yes, I am so fearful of a girl that knows everything, but her main defense is flicking paint at others," Justin sassed.
" Maybe glue next," Maggie grumbled as Justin took her hand out from under the blanket,
" Let it breathe," Justin advised.
