Chapter 2: Sing A Song
*Roman POV*
"My fellow Creatives!" I said, one hand extended dramatically to the sky, "On this glorious day, there has been news of..."
I stopped, frowning to myself as I thought about what I just said.
That won't do at all, I thought, There must be a better way to say this. I must get this speech ready soon, or else Angelo might have to give it again.
I shuddered as I imagined how the speech would go if Angelo gave it.
By all that is Disney...
Suddenly, Logan burst into my room, interrupting my thoughts.
His eyes were wide, and he panted, as if he'd run a thousand leagues.
"New... Personas..." he gasped out, "Have to... see them..."
I wasn't sure what had happened to my brother, but if someone had caused him to be this-- dare I say it-- emotional...
Something had to be wrong.
I quickly grabbed my sword, then rushed out of the house with Logan, determined to find an answer to this mystery.
~~~~~~
When we got to the gate, I saw a group of maidens standing there, chattering among themselves like a flock of birds in a tree.
Sheathing my sword, I strode up to them, making sure to smile.
"Greetings, fair maidens," I said boldly, and all of them looked up at me, a bit startled.
Then one of them said, "Calypso! He's dressed like you!"
A short maiden stepped apart from the group. She wore a gray dress and cat-eye glasses, and her eyes were as blue as a river.
The maiden gave me a shy smile, and she said, "It is an honor to meet someone like myself. I am the Music persona for my Host."
She sounded very formal in her words, and her voice was as gentle as music.
"Delightful to meet you, Lady Calypso," I said, "I am Prince Roman, the Creative persona for my Host."
Calypso curtsied, as elegant as a princess, and I couldn't help but be a bit impressed.
Then, as if she couldn't help herself, her next words burst from her mouth, accompanied by a beautiful melody:
"You say I'm crazy, 'cause you don't think I know what you've done. But when you call me 'baby', I know I'm not the only one..."
(A/N: Anyone who recognizes the lyrics gets a brownie.)
My eyes widened, and I backed up slightly, a bit flustered.
"Um..." I said carefully, "are you all right?"
"Yes," Calypso replied, smiling brightly, "My apologies. I just... I really, really like music."
I could see that.
