Ed's POV
He was there again. In my dreams. We were cut off from one another though. By some sort of glass. At first I saw my own reflection. Golden hair, pulled back in a pony tail. Messy bangs. Golden eyes. Brown jacket. A white button up shirt with a green vest over it. Brown pants as well. Suddenly, as I was looking at my reflection, the glass shattered to pieces.

Each part of the glass fell slowly to the ground. I watched as the golden hair and eyes began to crack and fall. Next to crack and fall was the white shirt and green vest. Each glass shard laid gently on the floor. Scattered. I stared at the pieces of glass in puzzlement. Why did it suddenly break?

I looked back up at where my face was supposed to be. And instead I saw him. His eyes held a soft and gentle stare. His short black hair was neatly resting on his head, some of his uneven parts covering parts of his face. His black eye patch covering a good portion of the left side of his face. His navy blue military uniform was surprisingly messy, like a blanket that had been thrown over a bed, just to hide some sort of stain. I looked at him in shock.

"C-Colonel....?" I stammered. He smiled at me.

"It's been a while hasn't it Fullmetal?" He replied, chuckling. I nodded.

"Colonel I.....I-"

"Brother! Wake up!" I shot up and looked around the room. I saw Al looking at me. He started laughing.

"What?! What's so funny?!" I exclaimed. I felt something in my mouth and grabbed it. I pulled it out and saw that a huge clump of my hair had gotten in my mouth while I was sleeping. Worst part is, it was wet.

"Ew!" I exclaimed, causing Al to laugh harder.

"Al it's not funny!" I exclaimed.

"Sorry Brother. But your reaction was priceless." He apologized. I sighed and stood up. I grabbed my hair tie and tied it up. Al looked at me.

"What's for breakfast today Brother?" He asked.

"Hmm. I'm thinking pancakes and eggs. That sound good?" I questioned. He nodded.

"Sure!" He replied. I stood up and went to grab the ingredients for breakfast. As I was making breakfast, Al was helping out with small things here and there.  While making the pancakes, a bit of water got on my auto mail.

"Gah!" I exclaimed, shaking it off. Al looked at me.

"Ed be careful! We have no idea the next time we'll see Winry again!" He scolded.

"Oh yeah. I'd rather not be hit with a wrench again like the last time." I muttered. Al laughed.

"It just shows. She's just like our Winry back home." He replied. I nodded, a sad smile appearing on my face.

"Hey Ed?" Al asked.

"Hm?" I replied.

"Will we ever be able to return back to Amestris?" He questioned. I looked at him.

"I'm not sure little brother. It's not like the gate will open again." I replied sadly. He nodded.

"Yeah....I had a feeling you'd say that...." He said sadly.

"Anyways, let's hurry up with breakfast. We have a lot of errands to run today." I suggested. Al nodded.

"Yeah. Could we stop at the book store today?!" Al asked excitedly. I grinned.

"Of course we can!"

Well here's chapter one! Just to let you guys know, this takes place after the first movie. Although, I'm sure you all could tell XD. Anyways, I'll see you guys next chapter.
