How'd It Go?

Al's POV
The door to brother and I's apartment opened and I stood up from my bed. "Hello?" I called out. All I heard was footsteps.

"It's just me Al." Ed replied. I nodded.

"Someone was out late." I teased. Ed rolled his eyes. I just laughed. "How'd it go anyways?" I asked.

"Well, he believes us. And....." Brother trailed off, beginning to blush.

"And?" I asked, raising an eye brow.

"We...may have....erm...kissed." He replied, mumbling the last part. I luckily heard what he said.

"Well?! Are you two a thing then?" I asked. Ed shook his head.

"No way! It....it didn't feel right to me." He explained. I nodded.

"Well, I guess we should head to sleep then." I suggested. Ed nodded.

"Yeah."

Ed's POV
"Colonel!" I yelled, my head looking from one direction to the other.

"Hey." Came the reply. I smiled. We were in complete darkness. Once again, that stupid piece of glass stood as a barrier.

"It's been a while." I nodded as I leaned my head on the glass once again separating us.

"I met your counter part a couple days ago." I suddenly said. Mustang nodded.

"I see." He replied.

"He said he could be your substitute." I added. Mustang chuckled.

"Oh?" He replied. I gripped my fist tightly.

"I declined. And you know what he said? That I was a good person." I muttered. Mustang smiled.

"Because you are." He agreed.

"But then...why don't I feel good about my choice? I don't get it...!" I replied, frowning as my eyes shut. Suddenly, I felt the glass fall. Small shards fell onto the ground, mixed with larger shards. They scattered on the ground. I felt someone hug me close to them.

"Ed, if you know in your heart that you made the right choice, then it's okay. Trust you're gut." Mustang explained. I nodded and hugged him back.

"Thanks....Roy."

My eyes slowly opened and I saw a bright light coming from my window. I yawned as I sat up. "Morning Al." I greeted.

"Morning brother." He replied. I smiled as I stood up and stretched. We walked into the kitchen and I sat down. My little brother had the stove today. Once he was done cooking, he gave me a plate and himself one.

"Thanks!" I exclaimed.

"No problem." He replied, smiling. Once we were done eating, a fly was flying around the house. I tried catching it a few times, but failed. I was moving around to much in my seat that I clapped my hands together trying to catch the fly, and fell out of my chair, my hands touching the floor. Al gasped.

"Brother!" He exclaimed.

"Yeah, I'm okay." I replied. He shook his head.

"No! Its not that!" He exclaimed once again. He pointed to the spot were my hands landed. I looked at it, wide eyed. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

"What the....?" I trailed off.

I had used alchemy.
