Your imperfections are what make you beautiful

So as you hand me your heart

Know that it's well kept

Like an antique

Precious and handled with care

For the value only increases the more I hold it

Every moment just as significant as the last

I won't let it break within my grasp

I'll shelter it and keep it warm inside the coziness of my palm

You deserve that for you're trusting me with your most valuable asset

The very part of you that give you life

And pumps blood and joy throughout your body

Your heart

With no hesitation at all

So I know that you believe in me to give it my all

I won't fail you for all that you are

Is resting firm in my hand

Cradled like a newborn

I'll protect it with my very life

Just to see you smile

And keep being your imperfect self

For you've given me you fully

The gift of your heart.
