Have you ever had something to say but your mind flipped a switch

It was like all systems had crashed one would say it glitched

Your brain became a vortex where nothingness held a place

Like it had forgot how to compute and put your words on a page

Well I definitely know this place for it's called an authors cage

Or writer's block to all it just puts you in a rage

Because your tendency to quote memories with metaphors and similes

Almost instantly and endlessly became cut off what entity

Could produce such infrastructure compressing my every thought

It's unknown but when it happens you start to feel like you're lost

In a dark cave searching for the light at the end of the tunnel

Until you can finally put it together with no hiccups or fumbles

It happens to the best it's the process of a writer

Because sometimes it's needed to come back more inspired.
