Why can't we live in a world where colors and creeds don't matter

Where we as people can come together, hold hands and embrace one another

Without the slightest hint of superiority or fear for not understanding the other

Because the landscape that's being built now is going to divide the younger generation

And send us back to the old days where there was segregation

And to love another color was punishable by death or you being shunned

See I'm ashamed to say where I'm from because how are we the land of the free

But the freedom in which we're supposed to have can be easily diverted to differences of another

There's a problem there a system that doesn't prevail

It needs to be adjusted to save the youth and our current days

Because in order for us as people to grow we have to learn to love one another

And I'm just one of the few speaking on the changes that need to come now

To save the ones coming in our shadows and footsteps.
