There comes a time when you have to stand for a cause

There's no need to panic we have to evolve

Meaning sometimes that what's been done will often involve

Making some people uncomfortable to answer the call

But I'm unafraid and unfiltered

Standing strong and I'm not tilting

This world we're in is so wrong

I don't know how the hell we go on

When injustice is spun to separate divide this nation and segregate

Instead of being a topic to educate the young people to get it straight

A nation that tells a woman you're not worthy of a position

Because you can't do what a man can I don't understand that vision

Telling a sexist society that a woman's place is the kitchen

When us men came from a woman inform me on what I'm missing

A nation where two hearts can't love one another without feeling a hatred

We're entitled to love who we want open your eyes and stop being basic

We're the land of the free right so why do I not have freedom

Because if I oppose your higher authority I'm disrespecting what you believe in

I'm not political but it's cynical the way that this world is clashing

And if we don't stand for a cause we can't argue with the reaction.
