I'm astonished to hear you speak they're words you never said

I'm amazed you took a leap it's a big step ahead

But it's more work to be done and I appreciate the progress

I'll be helping you with this issue as we move through this process

He throws his jabs then you counter for your strength is more mighty

And no matter what he does you are never to be taken lightly

Being physical has no place in this be smarter and sharper

And if he takes you for granted you make him to be a martyr

For you should never be touched unless intimate or spiritual

Plus any love that you feel should be nothing less than a miracle

Since you're a queen and you deserve it you were put here for a purpose

Not to be anybody's property that situations uncertain

So women please heed the signs if you notice them in advance

Never become a victim to the tortures of a man

That says that he loves you but hits you and apologize

It's a never ending cycle so if it happens once it'll happen twice

Get out while you can because you're worth is truly precious

And your life is even more valuable that should never be lessened.

*I wrote this poem about domestic violence because it's too common nowadays.
I witnessed it myself growing up and it bothers me severely. So anybody in this situation if you read this open your eyes. As always I hope you enjoy and comment.
