I heard them say that he is not to be trusted

But have you spent a day in his shoes

Have you seen the struggles he's faced

Have you had to take what wasn't yours to feed the ones you love

Or have you had to sleep under a bridge the exact way that he does

Has your reality become distorted and what you used to see is now blurred

Could you deal with all these troubles knowing you weren't secured

I'm just asking because as humans we tend to be self righteous

Thinking that we could never fall from grace but what'll happen if this life hits

Would you be able to fix the puzzle from the shattered pieces around

Would you be strong for the ones you love and fix your whole life from the ground

Or would you buckle from the pressure and be the one who can't be trusted

Because you have to ask for luxuries that obviously you weren't blessed with

I ask these questions to say that in this world everyone is not fortunate

There are people who was never afforded the opportunity you were given

Their life didn't come with a nice bow and a ribbon

So when you see one who's on their last leg offer one more for them to stand

Because one day it could be you so look at everyone through my lens

Reality, compassion, you know our God given emotions

To help our people for we are equals and some of them need guidance

So never judge a book by it's cover dive in and read the story

Because you might find something interesting buried in the one who can't be trusted.
