As my tears fall in this river
I watch the ripples begin
I'm relieving all of my pain
That is never to be felt again

As this tide sweeps on my beach
It carries with it my sorrows
I'll be ok today
But will they wash ashore tommorow

As the thunder shakes my core
Will it wilt my garden of dreams
Exasperating my air
And everything in between

As this Earth moves under my feet
Can I stand on my foundation
Or is the unsettling vibration
Doomed to break my resolve

I've battled all of these elements
Sent to destroy my soul
Take ahold of my heart
And shatter the mind that I hold

But I refuse to give in
I'll make them part of my being
The elements that make me whole
And rise powerful like a phoenix.
