Part Four.
Part four.
"Radhika..."
"Radhika....."
“Radhika….”
She was running away. Racing as fast as her wobbling feet could let her into an unknown realm of darkness surrounding her vicinity without halting even for a moment to take a shaky breath calmly, she ran. In consternation of being caught of what and who she did not know. Though, her steps didn't waver yet when she felt her lungs burning inside her upper abdomen for her to stop and breathe.
"Radhika..."
"Radhika....."
“Radhika….”
Somebody was calling her and she was sure of that.
"Radhika..."
"Radhika....."
“Radhika….”
The voice called again. Trying to reach her.
"Radhika..."
"Radhika....."
“Radhika….”
She was terrified out of her wits.
“Where are you going, Radhika?”
Her name was being addressed, she heard it yet again, confirming her thoughts that she was indeed being called by someone, she could have sworn for that. Her skin tingled with an unknown terror and dread within herself by what— certainly she did not recognise.
"Radhika..."
"Radhika....."
“Radhika….”
She flew faster than her little legs could let her.
“There is no place where you can hide or run..little one.”
The surrounding was tranquil and peaceful, it was her head that was not. The disarray of thoughts in her head was like a hive of angry bees buzzing in her psyche, each and every thought was more bothersome than the other in comparison.
"Radhika..."
"Radhika....."
“Radhika….”
“Please. Please. Please. leave….” Cupping her ears, she pleaded.
“I won't go anywhere!” his thunderous voice shattered incompletely.
"Why...?" Her already red ears perked up at the strained voice of the intruder of her thoughts.
“Because you belong to me! Just me!” His claim gave her nothing but dread.
"Why do you despise me so much, little doe?" The pain in the croaked voice was unmistakable. She shivered at the intensity of the broken tone. Were those woes she heard in the octaves? She wondered in trepidation. “Because I am always going to find you…one way or another. Doesn't matter your detest towards me…you will be here by my side in my arms by the end of the day…my sweet little one.”
Her legs were aching and her lungs were screaming for air and reprieve while she staggered in her steps when she saw a towering yet potent form of a mortal a few yards away at the end of the pathway. With a barrel of a chest and massive arms, she noticed, however, with its face hidden in the eternal dark of the night, the towering form stood at an inhuman height even at the distance between them. Petrified as she was, terror blossomed fury in her bosom at the mere sight of the robust figure before her...
"This is not very fair of you, my little one. You aren't playing fair," the earlier voice hissed with a growl at the end, terrifying her even more than she already was.
Her ultra-sensitive heart plummeted at an unusual speed, adrenaline coursing through her veins. Her heavy eyes with brimming tears widened more, even if it was possible. Terror gripped her already heaving heart in its palm. Dread enveloped her more furiously and tightly than it had already a few moments ago. Nibbling at her lower lip, she scuttled backwards from the blatant form before her own eyes.
"Do you think running away would make any difference?" The patience of the formed figure seemed to be wearing thin as his growls became more animalistic than the last ones as time passed. “Have you really thought I would let you leave that easily?” He was closing the gap between them with his unseen long strides, she observed with fear binding her into the place along with a drumming of her heart. She needed to escape and soon. Quickly at that. Instantly, she acted soon enough. Acting fast on impulse as her already exhausted body could let her, she leapt into a run, barely escaping the form's outstretched arms which were about to hold her. “Run as much as you can. Hide everywhere and anywhere you can find places to hide yourself from me. But in the end, I'll always be there to find you no matter wherever you go. You are mine, little one. No one can change that truth. You can hide. You can run. But you cannot escape me.”
Daring a look backwards, she glanced over her shoulder fearfully, her eyes met him in the enthralling shining moonlight. His gaze was pinning her. She quivered at the vividness. Her gaze seemed to be lost in his, she noticed.
It was him after all.
Dark brown to demonic black. His eyes captured her in his.
She forced her eyes away from his as if breaking the spell cast upon her without her knowing.
Forcing her head backwards, she ran. She ran, not daring to look back again. Nevertheless, she did hear the animalistic sorrowful inhuman growl behind her, promising retribution.
"Run as much as you desire to. Resist me as much as you want to, and all you want to. But, in the end, my little kitten, you will be mine to cherish! Mine to protect. Mine to do as I please. Mind, body and soul. Wholly and completely and you can't do anything about it other than to accept me,” it was there again his animalistic growl. “Tick tock. Tick tock. Tick tock…tick-tock…tick-tock…until we meet again, my little one…”
She ran..ran…ran…and ran..
“And if anyone tries to snatch you away from me, I am going to burn everything! I'll set everything ablaze. I won't let you belong to somebody else. I will never leave you alone. Never!”
She wanted to stop hearing his voice which couldn't stop staking his claim on her. As if she was one of his possessions and that he had the right to do whatever he wanted.
