TROYE'S POV

David sits in front of me and we've been silent for a long time now.

"I'm not gonna let you see anything but the metal walls, in other words, you're not gonna get the cage back for some time." David pauses, "I have to trick President Kay that I'm still on his side." He taps his finger to his head.

I laugh. I don't know why, but I laugh.

"Do you want something to eat?" David asks.

I shake my head. I know it's been quite awhile since I've eaten anything but eating doesn't even sound good to me right now.

David silently nods and studies the floor for a concerning amount of time.

What's going on in his head? He can't honestly be interested in the tiles covering the ground, it's something more than that.

I don't know why, but I wanted to figure out what was wrong and make it better. I didn't act on my thoughts, though, instead just sitting on the concrete, bored.

"Ugh. Can I have a book or something?"

"No.. um.. how do you feel about Tyler Oakley?" He says as if there's another Tyler in my life that's close to me and actually means shit to me.

I close my eyes and smile. When I open my eyes, I know exactly what I'm going to say.

"Tyler is my best friend. He means the world to me. He's everything that I need. I don't even know. Like, I'm not just in love with him. It's so much more than that."

He stared at the ground for awhile before he gave me a simulation that he said just made me pass out for awhile.

TYLER'S POV

"Your name is Tyler Oakley. You're in love with Zoe"

"No!"

"Your name is Tyler Oakley. You're in love with Zoe"

"I love Troye. Please stop."

"Your name is Tyler Oakley. You're in love with Zoe"

I scream, covering my ears with my hands.

Hours go on, as I continue to hear "Your name is Tyler Oakley. You're in love with Zoe"

Its been 24 hours of hearing "Your name is Tyler Oakley. You're in love with Zoe" and I'm going crazy. Am I in love with Zoe? I think so. That sounds correct. That makes sense. Yes. Yes it does.

Scientist #1 gives me a simulation syrup and I drink it.
