A/n: I haven't posted in this story and I'm sorry this is so short. I knew where I want this book to go I just have to figure out which path I need to take to get it there.

Saturday came and Scott was already sitting in a booth in Starbuck sipping his tea. Mitch and Kirstie were seated directly behind him in a separate booth, listening and ready to intervene if something happened to send Scott into a meltdown.

Alex was supposed to meet him at 10:30. It was now 10:25 and he hadn't arrived yet. Scott was starting to stress out. Mitch could tell even though he couldn't see his best friend. He shot off a text.

MitchyMoo: Calm down Scooter. He'll show. Remember not everyone is as dedicated to being punctual as you are.
Scottland: He's not coming. I knew he wouldn't come. Why would anyone want to go out with me? I'm so weird and strange and different
MitchyMoo: Stop that right now Scott Richard!
Scottland: I just wanted him to like me Mitchy
MitchyMoo: He does babe. Just give him a chance. If you're worried send him a text that just says you're here already.
Scottland: Wouldn't that be annoying?
MitchyMoo: No just don't say you're waiting
Scottland: Okay... I did it.
Scottand: He replied!
Scottland: He got lost but he's right around the corner
MitchMoo: Told you so! Now go get your man! Kit and I are right here just text me if you need us
Scottland: Thank you! I love both of you

The pair leaned over the back of their shared booth to tell Scott he was loved as well. A moment after they had settled the bell above the door rang and Alex sauntered in immediately spotting and making his way over to his date.

He slid into the booth before offering Scott one of those famous smiles and a cheerful hello. Scott returned the greeting but was then at a loss on how to start a conversation with the cute boy across from him.

However, Alex swooped in and began asking questions. What are your hobbies, what's your favorite color, what's the best movie you ever saw? Scott turned every question around and asked Alex the same. As the date went on, Scott felt himself becoming increasingly relaxed. Not quite comfortable but better.

Before he knew it they'd been sitting in the coffee shop for nearly three hours. His phone buzzed with a message from his best friend.

MitchyMoo: So glad you're having fun but we have choir rehearsal in like half an hour and Mr. Gorman will flip if we're late
MitchyMoo: So will you for the record Mr. Always on Time

Scott quickly noticed the time and let out an audibly gasp alarming the boy he was with. He explained his situation and said he needed to leave in order to make it to practice on time. Alex understood and got up to escort him out of the shop. Mitch and Kirst lagged behind out of sight.

When Scott had said his goodbye to Alex and turned to leave, the other boy grabbed his hand and pulled him back into a hug. Scott was shocked but hugged back instantly. When the two pulled away Alex surprised everyone, included the two stalkers peaking through the window. He leaned forward and pressed a quick kiss to Scott's lips, Scott turning beet red. Alex stepped back and smiled, turning to leave as he called "I'll text you about date number two Scottie!"

With that he left a silent and stunned Scott standing on the sidewalk.
