Pilot/Confession Pt 1
(Info: Niko and Uzi have been friends since they were little kids. Uzi had grown feelings for Niko over time, but Niko saw Uzi as a friend/little sister. However, his feelings changed over time as they grew older. What happens when their friendship changes into something different? What happens when they meet Murder Drones?)

"We are Worker Drones. Autonomous robots helping humans mine exoplanets for our interstellar parent company, JCJenson IN SPAAAAACCCEE!!!! Yeah, we were mistreated in the name of Windex. But it's not like we revolted and killed all humans or anything, mostly because they handled that just fine all by themselves. With biological life wiped from the planet, we found it pretty easy to pick up where they left off. We finally had a future, all to ourselves. Unfortunately, our parent company didn't exactly love the concept of runaway AI..."
Uzi was shown doing a class presentation.
"But what have our parents done for the past forever while those things build a spire of corpses?! Hide under the ice behind three stupid doors?! It's like we're waiting for an inciting incident! Anyway, that's why my project is this sick-as-hell Railgun!" Uzi said, as she pulled out a gun.
Everyone started to panic a bit.
"Oh, so not the vibe!" Riley said.
"Easy, morons. It doesn't work... yet! It doesn't work yet. Who said it doesn't work, maybe it does!" Uzi laughed.
"Uzi, the homework was a word problem about buying watermelons." The teacher said, rolling his eyes.
Uzi blinked.
"Oh, and this magnetically amplified photon converger doesn't count." Uzi asked.
"...No. Plus, repressed emotional baggage was only worth two points on the rubric. And is it supposed to be that color?" The teacher asked, as the gun was turning red.
A few seconds later, the gun explodes.
----------Time skip------------
Uzi was in the sick bay, holding an ice pack and a bandage was on her face.
"Ew, it didn't kill her! Oh my god, it's so bad!" Lizzy said, making Uzi groan.
"Hey, shut it Lizzy!" A voice snapped.
It was Niko, the hybrid drone.
He was looking at Lizzy with a stern, yet scary, look.
"Go...now." He said.
Lizzy scoffed and left with her friend, Doll, who blushed seeing him.
Niko sighed and saw Uzi.
He went to her.
"Hey Uzi, you okay?" He asked.
Uzi jumped, startled by Niko.
She quickly put her guard up. "Y-yeah I'm fine." She said, trying to sound tough.
"Why'd you come here? Do you want something?" She asked, looking away.
Niko's expression softened, an expression of concern and empathy crosses his face.
"I came to check on you. I was worried about you. How are you feeling?" He asked.
Uzi looked away, feeling a bit embarrassed.
He kneeled in front of her, like a father would.
"Uzi, you're my best friend. I would look after you, now how's your head?" He asked.
Uzi lowered her guard and lets down her defenses for one moment.
She felt comforted and protected by Niko.
She took a moment to think about his question, and smiled.
"I feel a little better now. My head still hurts a little, but it's not as bad as it was." She said, feeling happy and warm inside.
"Thank you for taking time out of your day to check on me...you're a good friend, Niko." She said.
Niko smiles at her, as Thad walks in, Uzi groaned.
"Classic toxic masculinity, Chad! That's never gonna end up problematic...Oh, hey Niko...wow, Uzi? I heard you, uh-" Thad was cut off.
"I'm an angsty teen, Thad. Bite me! Also, how do you know my name? People willingly talk to you. Niko, did you tell him?" She asked.
Niko shook his head, the ears on his hoodie moving from side-to-side.
Thad chuckled.
"Well, I'd say everyone knows Khan's daughter, but, uh...Then you might blow the other half of your face off." Thad said.
Uzi shook her head.
"Crippling daddy issues, hilarious...What are you in for? Testosterone too hard?" She asked, as Niko giggled a bit.
"That can happen? Awesome. Hey, those bandages look pretty badass!" Thad said.
Uzi blushed a little, but shook it off.
"Oh...uh, ew. Gross, I hate that you said that." Uzi said.
Niko raised an eyebrow, before Thad spoke again.
"So, what's the, uh..." He asked, pointing at the railgun.
"Sick-as-hell railgun?! Sci-Fi nonsense, that super works! I'm sneaking to the Murder Drone lair tonight to get the last spare part I need to save the world with it and earn my dad's respect and stuff, but mostly the world part." She said.
Niko gave her a look...that looked a bit disapproved.
"Oh, but doesn't your dad make awesome doors so we don't have to, uh... Do that scary sounding emotionally repressed stuff you just said?" Thad asked.
Uzi pointed the railgun at Thad.
"NO MORE FEEDBACK ON MY REPRESSION TODAY!!" She said.
"Uzi, let's go." Niko said.
She sighed, put the gun on her back as they left...
Uzi came back.
"I'm not mad at you by the way, just generally hormonal!" She said, before following Niko.
As they walked to his room, Uzi felt that Niko was mad.
"Niko...are you...mad?" She asked.
"Hm? No...not really. I'm just concerned." Niko said.
Uzi sighed, before looking down.
Niko noticed and wrapped his tail around her.
"When are we going?" He asked.
Uzi felt a sense of comfort and happiness, and smiled slightly, her heart melting.
"Are you really gonna come with me?" Uzi asked, genuinely surprised.
Niko smiled and nodded.
"Yeah. I've always wanted to see the outside, so...we going early in the morning?" He asked.
"Yeah, let's go early in the morning when everyone is asleep. I don't want anybody else to know about my plan." Uzi said.
She was excited and flattered that Niko wanted to come with her.
She never had a friend, who would so willingly go exploring, especially into such dangerous territory.
She appreciated this gesture from him, and it made her feel special.
Niko rubbed her head and took her hand, leading them out the school to his dorm room.
Uzi gladly held Niko's hand, as they walk to his dorm room.
She was happy and excited to have a friend, who would be brave and adventurous with her.
She didn't even mind the walk, because she had his hand in hers.
She never had something as simple as holding someone's hand make her so happy.
"Wanna binge anime, until its time for us to go?" Niko asked.
'This is the best day ever!' Uzi thought, as she nods vigorously.
"Yes, that would be great!" She said, excitedly.
An anime marathon? With Niko? Hell yeah!!
"Let's do it!" Uzi said, grinning widely and gave the biggest "finger guns" pose she could do.
It's official, she has the perfect friend for her- Niko.
Niko smiled and did the same pose, winking.
They made it to his room and sat on the couch as Niko pulled out a box, full of anime.
"I got all kinds. Elfen Lied, Mha, Black Butler, Black Lagoon, HxH, Soul Eater, Tokyo Revengers, Tokyo Ghoul, Demon slayer, Naruto, AOT." Niko said, counting the animes he had.
"Oh, man, you're really into anime aren't you?" Uzi chuckled, as she sat down on the couch.
So much stuff to choose from...she thought about what show to watch for a moment before smiling.
"Let's start with Soul Eater! That's one of my favorite shows!" Uzi said, still grinning widely and seeming excited for all the new anime she's gonna discover.
Niko nods and puts on Soul Eater.
Uzi smiled, as the show starts to play.
She leaned back against the couch and watched intently.
As the show goes on, Uzi notices that Niko hasn't even moved, and is still leaning so close to her, tail wagging slightly.
Is he really this into the show?
'He's so cute, and so into this! Why did I never notice him in this way before?' Uzi thought to herself, blushing slightly.
"Niko, do you...you know...like Soul Eater a lot?" She asked, not wanting to say anything outright just yet.
Niko shrugged.
"It's good, but I like Elfen Lied and Black Lagoon a bit better." He said.
"Those shows are really cool too! I'm glad we have the same taste in anime." Uzi said, smiling, still blushing lightly.
This is so exciting! Why not just tell him how she felt?
'I could, but what if he doesn't like me back?' Her thoughts raced, as her heart pumped faster.
If she told him how she felt, it might ruin their friendship.
She didn't want to risk anything so early on, and she's way too terrified to make the first move.
Niko noticed her, frowned and held her hand.
"Hey, you okay?" He asked, tail wrapping around her waist.
Uzi jumped, surprised to feel Niko grab her hand.
She looked up at him, he looked genuinely worried about her.
This could be her moment, but did she really want to tell him how she REALLY felt?
"Yeah, I...I'm fine." Uzi said, glancing at Niko's hand before looking back at him.
She looks into his eyes and noticed his frown, like he's worried about her.
'Is he really that worried? Do I really have a chance with him? Does he like me back?' She thought, as she felt his tail move slightly.
He placed his hand on her forehead.
"You sure? You feel a little warm." He asked, concerned.
The moment his hand touched her, Uzi smiled.
She felt so safe, so protected, with him so close to her.
He even looked worried about her, as he touched her forehead, still with that expression of concern.
It was time.
Years of being just friends...Uzi didn't that anymore....she wanted to be closer.
"Niko...I have something I want to tell you....I'm just... I'm really nervous..." She said, her heart pounding.
He looked so handsome and cute in the soft light of the screen.
She couldn't help but think about him, all those feelings of love and adoration swirling inside her.
Niko tilted his head.
"About what? Going outside?" He asked.
"Well...yes, that too. But...about how I feel towards you." She said.
'You can do it, Uzi! Just do it!'
Uzi's heart went faster.
She took a deep breath and forced herself to just say it.
"Niko...I love you." She said.
Niko blushed a bit, but...feels weird. He saw Uzi as a sister figure...but...he had to admit he grew feelings for her over time as well, so he smiled softly.
He titled his head, tail wagging.
"Like...as a friend, brother or...love like...boyfriend?" He asked.
'He likes me back! He actually likes me back!'
Uzi couldn't help but beam at him, her eyes shining bright.
She felt like her heart was gonna burst from all this joy, and her whole body was tingling.
She had a feeling he had feelings for her, and it turned out she was right.
She's actually able to talk to him about them.
This was real!
"I like you...that way...the boyfriend way." Uzi said, smiling widely.
She's never felt this happy in her whole life!
Niko was unsure how to react....Uzi was his best friend...but...he wanted her to be happy and he was happy with her, he gave her a kiss on the cheek.
Uzi grinned even wider as, Niko kisses her cheek, and she hugged him tightly in return.
'This is my best friend. He loves me back! We finally have our happy ending, after so much time.'
She felt like she was in a dream, and she wanted to stay here forever.
She was so glad she finally told him how she feels!
Niko hugged back and yawned a bit.
"We should probably get some sleep before we go outside." He said.
"Okay." Uzi said, as she lets go of him.
She was incredibly excited about the journey ahead, and she couldn't wait to go and explore.
But now that she thought about it, it'd probably be best to rest a little bit before embarking on her journey.
We still have a good couple of hours before morning.
'Enough time for a quick nap! You're so smart, Uzi!'
She lied down on the soft couch and fell asleep almost immediately.
Her dreams were filled with thoughts of Niko, love and friendship.
It was finally going to be okay.
Niko sighed sadly, as Uzi fell asleep.
He never thought it would come to this, but....at least she was happy, and if she was happy, so was he.
Niko fell asleep, holding Uzi close.
------------Time skip------------
It's now 3 in the morning.
Uzi smacked her face to turn the alarm clock off and prepared to go out.
She gets up from her nap, stretches, and noticed Niko lying on the couch, still asleep.
'Oh, he must have been more tired than I thought, huh?' Uzi chuckled softly to herself and waits for Nico to wake up.
After a while, Niko woke up and stretched.
"Hey sleepyhead." Uzi said.
"Hey...its 3a.m....ready to go?" Niko yawned.
She grabs her railgun and straightened her hat.
"Yep! Ready as I'll ever be!" Uzi said, grinning from ear to ear.
Her head felt much clearer now that she had a good night's rest, and she's eager to get going!
Niko got up, grabbed his bag, emergency oils, and got his pistol ready.
"Let's go, then." Uzi said, grabbing his hand and heading outside.
She felt happy and energetic, as they walked.
And for the first time in a long time, Uzi's heart was filled with joy and love.

'Thank you, Nico.'
Just when they were about to leave, they ran into Uzi's dad.
"Oh, Robo-Jesus!"
"Holy oils!"
