CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE: THE HOTEL OBSIDIAN

Everyone except Lara, Mitch and Andy were all groaning as they walked over to the benches in the park.

"Just gonna sit. I'm just gonna sit for a minute" Luther said and let out a groan before he sat down on a bench as Allison sat down next to him while Vanya was sitting on the same bench.

"That didn't go well" Diego said as he turned around from the large pond he was looking at, "No, not our best work" Five said as Lara and him sat down next to each other on a picnic table while Klaus laid down at the other table next to it "Oh, I'm cracking" he said as the sound of joints cracking was heard.

"How it is that Mitch and I don't even have a scratch, but is only exhausted, but you guys look like you have being beating for days" Andy said "'Cause you kids are more powerful than us" Klaus said "But our mom don't have any superpowers and she don't have a single scratchs on her" Andy said as he pointed on his mom who was sitting next to Five.

"Well, I didn't see you fighting much" Luther said as he looked at Lara "At least I didn't get my ass beating" she said and Luther gave her the finger which she returned.

Allison then turned to Luther "You alright?" she asked "I don't know yet" he answered before looking at her "I've just never had my ass handed to me like that before. It's like..." Luther said before he held out his hands to Allison, like he was going to offer her something "...Here you go. It's your ass" he said and Allison looked at him confused.

"Okay, I think Luther's concussed" she said as she was looking at the others and Klaus sat up on the picnic table before holding his hands out in front of his face, "Luther, how many fingers?" he asked.

"You kids okay?" Five asked as he looked at the twins who was sitting on the top of picnic table next to each other. "Fine. Just need some rest and we are recharge" Andy said.

"Ben is okay" Klaus said "Yeah. And he's a complete dickhead" Allison said "They're all dickheads" Diego said "Dickheads who can fight" Luther said.

"Okay, next person to say 'Dickhead' is getting a punch to the throat" Five said "Dickhead" they all said and Five rolled his eyes while shaking his head a little bit.

"Dickhead" Mitch and Andy which cause Lara and Five to glance at their sons.

"Hey, did Dad tell you why he was calling them his kids?" Diego asked as he looked at Klaus "He sure did" Klaus said and let out a laugh "Dad was so repulsed by us back in Texas, that he adopted an entirely different group of children, just so that he didn't have to raise us" he said.

"That's just peak Dad" Diego said as he sat down "Isn't it?" Luther said.

"Wait, so dad just didn't want us anymore?" Vanya asked Klaus "Did he ever?" Allison asked.

"See?" Luther said as he pointed on Five "I told you we shouldn't have asked him for help in '63" he said "Hey, don't blame my dad" Mitch said "Yeah. He did what he thought was best for us. He did was he thought was right. He did something that he thought could help us" Andy said.

"Alright, let me ask you guys this. If Reginald told Klaus that he was disappointed in you guys when he met you in Texas. So he adopted a different group of children, just so that he didn't have to raise you six" Lara said "Yeah, so?" Luther asked "How did he knew which babies you guys were?" she asked and Luther was about to open his mouth until he realized that he had no answer to that.

"Exactly" Lara said.

"I think you're all missing the big picture here" Five said and they all looked at him "If Dad didn't adopt us as kids, he changed the timeline. So who know what else is different now" he said.

"Shouldn't you know?" Allison asked him as she pointed her finger at Five "Sorry, Allison, but it might take me more than 20 minutes and a traumatic brain injury to figure this all out" Five said as he gestured to the large cut on his head that he had gotten from when Jayme had kicked him down the stairs "Is that okay with you?" he asked "No, actually, it's not" she said and Five rolled his eyes.

"Guys, look, it's fine. We still have the Commission's briefcase, so worst case, we can just go back in time and fix it" Vanya said.

"Great" Klaus said "Okay. There are two problems with that statement" Five said before standing up "First off---" he said "Here we go" Klaus said "Time travel is complicated, people" Five said "Yeah, we get it. Your job is so hard" Diego said sarcastically "Just...what?" he asked "And secondly...I no longer have the briefcase" Five said.

Allison stood up slowly from the bench "Five, where the hell is the briefcase?" she asked him "I don't know, when I went to grab it, it was gone" he answered as he tilted his head with no idea where it was.

"We can go back and try to find it" Mitch said "Yeah" Andy said "Hell no" Five and Lara said "You boys are staying here with us" Lara said "But--" "You almost got hurt last time, you two stay near us until we have find a place to rest" Lara said "But--" "Your mom is right kids. It can be dangerous. You two don't know the in and out of that place and the Sparrows will attack you" Five said "Then we will just kick their ass like last time" Andy said "You kids are too exhausted to use your powers like that again, so no" Five said "But---" "No buts, I'm your dad, so you and your mom are in charge of you kids and we are saying no" Five said which cause Lara to smile as Five was acting like real dad towards Mitch and Andy.

"Fine" the twins said with a scoff.

"Still can't believe that you slept with him and made two kids" Diego said to Lara "Sometimes me either, but right now he is okay" Lara said "What do you even see in him?" Luther asked "A long list" Lara said.

People was giving Lara, Mitch, Andy, Five and the others weird stares as they were walking down the park.

"What are we doing?" Allison asked "Ruminating" Five said calmly as the twins was walking between their parents.

"Why is everyone staring at us?" Klaus asked "Because we look like the damn Village People just lost a fight" Diego said before he snatched Klaus' hat off his head "Gimme that" Klaus said as he tried to reach for his hat over Diegos' shoulders "Hey" Klaus said.

"You know what? I need to go find Claire" Allison said "Cut it out" Lara said to Klaus and Diego but they didn't listen "Jesus, they fight worse than us" Andy said "We have never fought like that" Mitch said "That's what I'm saying" Andy said.

"I will catch up with you guys later" Allison said and was about to walk away but Vanya stopped her "Hey, Allison, no" Vanya said causing her to stop "First, let's get somewhere safe, clean up those cuts, and then we'll go find her" Vanya said.

"Man, I hate those guys" Luther said as he spotted a billboard of The Sparrows with Marcus in the middel "Look at 'em with their...stupid smug..." Luther said as he was unable to finished the sentence.

"You can do it. You can do it" Klaus said as he was encourage him "...S...s...smug...smugness" Luther said and Klaus let out a sigh "Keep working on it, big guy. You'll land one, eventually" he said as he patted Luther on the back.

"But honestly, what are we doing?" Allison asked as she looked at her family "We can't stand here bleeding out in this park" she said.

"I don't know, but we better gear up fast before they come for round two" Diego said "What makes you think they'll come after us?" Vanya asked "Because I would" Diego said.

"Yeah, we did break into their house..." Klaus said "Our house" Allison said as her arms was on crossed "...bust up all their nice antiques and shit" Klaus said "Yeah, I don't think the crime-fighting...super nerds are gonna let that go" Luther said as he pointed up on the billboard.

"Let's just think of some place off the radar where we can lie low and not draw attention and also where the twins can rest" Five said "We are fine dad" Andy said "No, you guys are not. You are both exhausted, using your powers like that at the farm and then use them again a few hours later without proper rest is not good for you kids" Lara said.

"What kind of a weird ass place are we not gonna draw attention?" Diego asked.

"We can go back to our apartment" Mitch said "Yeah" Andy said "I don't think there is enough space" Lara said.

They all thought for a bit until they turned to look at Klaus who was minding his own business as he was swinging with his arms while spinning around a bit.

Klaus stopped spinning when he saw his family looking at him, he thought for a little bit until something came to his mind "I actually have a place in mind" he said with a smile.

"Come with me" Klaus said before he went in front of the family and they all follow him.

Police siren wailing and the sound of car horn honking was heard as Klaus lead his family to a large hotel name 'Obsidian'

They all squeezed into the same section of the spinning door, pushing and shoving each other "Oh, okay. Honestly? We don't all need to be squeezed" Allison said "There were two entrances, by the way" Five said as they all exited the spinning doors "And yet you being a stupid, you take the same door" Lara said as her and the twins took the other door.

"Okay, this is a big hotel" Mitch said as the twins was looking up at the high ceiling and the lights that hung from it.

Klaus walked up in front of the others "Oh. Hotel Obsidian. I missed you, you slutty old dame" he said before he waved his hands while closing his eyes "Absorb her. Absorb her into your bosom" he said before he spun around to look at the others.

"You know, 'cause back in her heyday, she played host to world leaders. Roosevelt, Gandhi, Stalin, Gorbachev, Castro, King Olaf of Norway, one of the Kim Jongs, Tito, Dalai Lama, Elvis, and not one, but two Kardashians, allegedly" he said.

Allison rolled her eyes before she walked away "Wouldn't that-- Where you going?" Klaus asked her "I gotta make a call" she answered before she walked away and Klaus turned back to the others "Nowadays, she's just a flophouse, a party house for those of us not looking to be judged by society roles and norms" he said "You mean, a place to hide?" Luther said "Exactly" Klaus said as he pointed at Luther with both hands.

"It's perfect! And the best part of it is, she's gonna look after us, no questions asked. Never ever right? Come on" he gestured over to the front desk.

"I may have questions" Diego said "Yeah, me too" Luther said before they walked after Klaus "This place is weird" Vanya said as she took a moment to scan the area.

Andy and Mitch looked at each other "Do you feel it too?" Mitch asked and Any nodded "I have a bad feeling about this" he said "So do I" Mitch said.

"Boys come on" Lara called out and the twins walked over to their parents.

A pug was sitting on a fluffy dog bed on the front desk when Klaus and the others walked over to the counter before Klaus hit the bell.

"Chet! Mon frére!" he said as the man behind the counter walked over to them "It's so great to see you. I'd like my usual suite, por favor" Klaus said and Chet put his finger on the bell, stopping it from ringing.

"I've never seen you before" Chet said "See? Told you. Discreet" Klaus said to the others as Luther and Diego was petting the dog making it made a whimpers sound.

"Please stop scaring my dog" Chest told Luther and Diego who stopped before moving away from the dog.

"We need some rooms, please" Vanya said "Super" Chet said before he grabbed a sign saying 'Pay up front' and put it on the counter "And how will we be paying today?" he asked.

The others looked dumbfounded as they realized that they didn't have any money.

"Ah"

"Oh"

"Fine. Empty your pockets. Come on. Something" Luther said and they all empty their pockets.

All Five had was what assume to be some teeth, Vanya had some candy, Klaus had a condom and Diego had a knife.

"Condoms?" Luther asked he looked at the condoms in Klaus' hands "I will take them, thank you" Five said as he took the condoms from Klaus' hands which cause the siblings to look at him.

"What? I have a girlfriend. We are both adults in our teen bodies. Hormones are raging" Five said as he looked at his siblings "I don't think I need to say more" he said as he put the condoms in his pocket.

"Is he good in bed?" Klaus asked as he looked at Lara and she looked at him "Would I be doing him more than once if he wasn't?" she asked "EWW" Mitch and Andy said "Can't believe what you see in him" Diego said.

Luther then looked at Diego's palm to see a knife "Put the knife away" Luther said to Diego as he push his hand aside.

"Can't exchange those for cash" Klaus said "Why do I have a hairnet?" Luther asked confused as he looked at the hairnet in his hand.

"Dad what is that in your hand?" Mitch asked his dad as he saw what he had in his hand "Are those teeth? You do know that you are a bit old to still believe in the tooth fairy?" Andy asked which cause Five to glance at him.

"Oh" Luther said as he realized something "All right" he said before he took off his watch "What does this get us?" he asked Chet.

"Stop" Lara said and the others looked at her "Luther, you might need it" she said as she dug through her pocket before she pulled up some money from her pocket.

"Four rooms where one of them has a double bed. With a private bathroom" she said before she put the money on the counter.

"How do you have money?" Diego asked "Well kept some money on me when I landed in Dallas" she said.

Chet exchanged the money for four room keys before putting them on the counter.

"Mazel tov" he said.

"Lara and I are taking the one with the double bed" Five said as he grabbe the key which was to that room.

"Aww, are you guys gonna mate?" Klaus asked "Of course. We are a couple" Five said "Please be quite" Diego said "Yeah. We don't wanna hear you two make love" Luther said "Make love. What are you, a girl?" Lara asked "EWW" Mitch and Andy said as they made a face in disgust "Please don't talk about that when we are standing right here" Andy said "Yeah, it's disgusting" Mitch said "No, it's not. It's beautiful. How do you think that you two was made" Klaus said "We know how it work. We have had that talk at school a year ago" Mitch said "But we don't want that image of our parents banging in our heads. That is something that will give us nightmare and haunt us forever" Andy said while Mitch nodded.

"How did he even got you?" Diego asked "He tried to flirt, didn't work" Lara said "Wait, Five tried to flirt?" Klaus asked and Lara nodded "Was so terrible at it" she said which cause Klaus to chuckled "Hey it work you on didn't it?" Five asked "If you weren't that amazing in bed and an amazing kisser I would never have giving you another round" Lara said.

"EWW" the others said "Can we get going, those two makes me want to throw up" Diego said as he pointed on Lara and Five

"Come on" Klaus said as he grabbed one of the keys "All right" Allison said and grabbed the second key "Let's go" Andy said as he grabbed the forth.

"Well, let's Brady Bunch this bitch" Klaus said "Come on" Mitch said.

"Uh, meet back in the bar in two hours so we can make a plan" Five said as they all walked passed the bar "I have a plan" Diego said as he ran up ahead of them before he jump up the stairs between the elevator and his family "We attack the Sparrows, and we take back our house, and then we punch Dad a bit until he admits that we're better and he loves us more" he said but the others walked passed him to the elevator "Boom! Done! We're wasting time" Diego said to them "Relax. Don't sweat it, man" Klaus said as he patted Diego on the shoulder "Those shit birds are staying put for a while. I bet they're as wiped as we are" Klaus said as he walked into the elevator where the others were.

"Really?" Diego asked "Yeah, I mean, kicking our asses looked exhausting" Klaus said to him.

But Klaus was wrong, the Sparrows was not exhausted at all from fighting them, instead they were running on treadmills while they were looking at the TV that showed the fight.

"Big one is strong but slow, possibly stupid. Some sort of...simian hybrid" Marcus said as he was referring to Luther.

"Who took the little jumpy guy" Sloane asked, referring to Five "Me. Just gave him a spanking and sent him to school" Jayme said "Hey-oh!" Alphonso said before him and Jayme gave each other a fist bump.

"But didn't you Ben get knock down by the girl and the jumpy guy?" Jayme asked "Shut up Jayme, you were knock to the floor by that girl too and so was Marcus" Ben said.

"Who is the weakest of them?" Chris asked his siblings "The skinny one is their weak link" Fei answered "Unless hiding behind couches shouting 'Where's my daddy?' is his superpower" Ben said as he was mocking Klaus.

Grace entered the gym where the others were and she smiled as she put some healthy smoothies down on a table before leaving.

"Enough post-gaming. They disrespected us, Marcus. We need to be out there finding these freaks and taking 'em out" Ben said as he was looking at Marcus "Oh, you mean like this?" Marcus said before he press a button on the remote control causing the TV to show Mitch and Andy defeating all of them in a flash.

The treadmills stopped and Marcus walked up to stand in front of the others.

"Can someone explain how you got your asses handed to you in 30 second by two kids?" Marcus said to them "Do you have any idea what would happen to our reputation if anyone had seen that?" he said out loud as he glanced at everyone causing them to let out a sigh.

"I mean, we haven't faced decent enemies for years. This could be good for us. Good for business. But only if we're smart with our next move" Marcus said and Fei sighed heavily.

Then the sound of someone cleaning their throat was heard causing Marcus and the others to turn their heads to look towards the entrance to see Reginald "You summoned me, Number One?" he asked Marcus.

"Sit" Marcus ordered and Reginald sat down.

"You spent time with these people. What's your assessment?" Marcus asked "Unimpressive. Neanderthals on a day pass. Cried too much and showered too little. The only thing they lacked more than girt was any regard for one another" Reginald said.

"No loyalty. We can use that" Ben said "Good. Give a full report to Christopher" Marcus said as he looked at Reginald who got up.

"Still, I wouldn't underestimate the Umbrella Academy. Yes, their skills are as lacking as their hygiene, yet somehow, they saved the world in 1963. Had they not, none of you would be standing here now. Perhaps I misjudged them" he said and he was about to walk out of the room but then he stopped.

"And we careful of those two kids. Their name is Mitch and Andy, they are twins and the Jumpy Guy's kids. Great power swells inside of those twins, so be careful. I think if they could, they could end the world" Reginald said

Their eyes all widened, they don't believe that two kids like Mitch and Andy that look so sweet and innocent was so powerful and could kill them easy.

Chris then said something "Yes, yes. I'm going" Reginald said as he started walking away with Chris following behind him.
